41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the Altcoins Going to Dip in Short Term? on: March 19, 2024, 11:27:50 PM
We'll just need to monitor to see how far it'll pullback for now ($45,000?). This cycle is actually turning out to be a bit more compressed, but ask me about this comment in two years, and I'll tell you how wrong I was.  Wink

Well, the pullback looks pretty serious so far, it started when Bitcoin was at $73k and has already dropped down to $61k and it keeps going down. Though we can't be sure whether it will reach $45k or near that area or not, I'm pretty sure that we are going to see it going deeper than $55k at least before it starts recovering.
The halving event is still pretty far from where we are standing, a week's time should be enough for it to drop to those levels, if it takes longer than that and the halving arrives, it might start recovering right after the halving event.
42  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need honest advise concerning this. on: March 19, 2024, 10:56:55 PM
I've been advised that as a newbie i shouldn't rush but to learn from old forum members and grow. But then, I've seen that for one to grow over here you need to get merited and on a regular basis, well i believe at this point i should've been able to acquire some merits, despite the fact that I'm still a Newbie but then i don't see the Merits coming, even after some post i felt could fetch the Merits. It makes me wonder if my posts are not Merit worthy or Quality enough.

Though it almost got me díscouraged, however instead of being discouraged, I'm open to learning ways or how to get the Merits and grow on here, my questions are what I'm i doing wrongly? How can i improve it and also where is the best board to write on if i need these Merits coming?

Don't get discouraged so easily, some things are difficult to achieve but there is always a possibility if we keep working hard and do the things in the right way.
I have checked your post history, and I must say that you are doing pretty well, I didn't see any one-liners or off-topic posts, so you are on the right track, just remember that you need to continue learning and improving over time, and always be yourself and write what you think will contribute in a discussion.

I'll just give you a small suggestion that I noticed isn't present in your posts. Whenever you are posting a link, try to post it as a hyperlink which means you should write a text and then add the link under that text so that it looks better and gives the post better readability.
43  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do the needful this period and save yourself stress and heartbreak on: March 19, 2024, 10:03:16 PM
At times doing nothing is a far better solutions than trying to be smart. I'll suggest we just buy Bitcoin, hold and not do anything untill the bull market is done. Lets consider every opportunity we see as a scam and not pick interest in any of them. Ignoring everything that isn't Bitcoin is the perfect strategy to use in outsmarting the scammers.

I agree with you, but then there is nothing wrong if someone tries to maximize their profits by making good use of the bull run if they know they can do enough research and find projects that they know are going to earn them at least some profit during the bull run. Staying away from altcoins and focusing only on Bitcoin is a good option for people who know they aren't good with the market in general and they can barely understand much about altcoins.
If I have already invested in Bitcoin, but still have some funds kept as spare that I want to use as well, and I know that I understand the market very well, I can do some research and invest that money in projects that have good potential. There are a lot of altcoins that are good.
44  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to crypto. WHERE DO U GUYS TRADE?? on: March 19, 2024, 09:44:09 PM
Hi All!
I’m fairly new to the crypto world. I’m still trying to learn how to trade. Where do u guys trade? Which sites do u suggest have a reputable “copy trade” option?? I don’t mind fees or commissions. I just want to try the copy trade option while I’m still learning. Thank u!

I use Binance for my trading activities, and I believe it is probably the most reputable and popular exchange at the moment.
As you are new in the market, I would suggest that you keep learning how to trade so that you can perfect your skills and start making your trades yourself instead of going with copy trading, though I don't say it is something bad, I believe something that you do yourself would be better because you can't have the same level of confidence and trust in someone else that you can have on yourself.
So maybe you should keep your money safe for now and first focus on learning instead of engaging with copy trading and other stuff.
45  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New trader's must remember it. on: March 19, 2024, 09:26:17 PM
If someone listens to others experience, it's okay as those can be helpful to them but if they choose not to. It's not really a thing that are obliged in doing so because we're all free to follow or not or make our own strategies from our experiences.

A wise person would learn from their mistakes and experiences, but a wiser person would learn from the mistakes and experiences of others so that they don't have to face the same. So if someone is telling another person that they have done a certain thing and the outcome wasn't pleasing, the person listening to that should refrain from doing that thing now when he knows the outcome of that action is mostly negative.
Someone who doesn't listen to others and do things that aren't good and then faces negative consequences for their actions should be blamed for that, not because they didn't listen but because they didn't even do their research before doing it.
46  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: March 19, 2024, 08:47:30 PM
I one time said the road to $100k was smooth until this heavy correction came and everything began to seem heading back towards the DIP, but it isn't the end of the bullish season we all are anticipating, it's like we may not get to see $100k before the halving but then after it's rest assured.
You saying we may see something positive in the next 3 days it's just speculating, the market may decide to do on its and we become left just to watch and hope for a good recovery.

Were we expecting to see $100k before the halving event? I don't think so, some of us weren't even expecting Bitcoin to hit a new all-time high before the halving event but it surprised us all, I was never optimistic about it reaching $100k before the halving because that would be a lot to ask. Bitcoin reaching $100k means the actual bull run and we can't expect the bull run to occur before the halving event based on how it happens in each cycle.
However, it will reach there eventually, because the actual bull run will start after the halving event, the current dip is temporary and the market will soon recover from it for sure.
47  Economy / Speculation / Re: Every moments of bitcoin value is appreciable for investors on: March 19, 2024, 07:57:33 PM
I mean trading Bitcoin as well as holding Bitcoin and recently maybe for a year now have started doing DCA entrance me these methods give you more and more profit then trading also these methods reduces the stress level which you have to endure during the trading. Most of the traders are exhausted but they don't want to hodl for a long time I think if we diversify our methods like having a combination of all then we will be in profit under any market conditions.

Investing and holding can be pretty profitable sometimes, especially if you make an investment at the ending phase of the bear market and then the bull run starts after a short while which means your investment starts to yield profits for you in a very short period which is great. However, you can't earn a lot, or any, profit if you invest in the bull run.
On the other hand, if we talk about trading, trading can be profitable during both the bear market and the bull market because even in the bull run, there are certain times and points where the prices go down a little bit and then go up, and a trader can make use of such small dips to earn some profit.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a quick rich and get poorer investment. on: March 19, 2024, 07:31:55 PM
People just need to know that trading and investment depends on how they manage their funds.
If they couldn't manage it properly or doesn't know what they are doing then the outcome is almost certain that they would only lose in this field.
Investment and trading couldn't make you rich in just a short spam of time it takes time to learn and surely it would take some time and experience to earn from it.

People who think that way about cryptocurrencies and the investments made in this industry are the ones who are misguided and have a misconception about the whole market. They see news and stuff about how some people have managed to become millionaires after making small investments in cryptocurrencies, but they don't have any idea about how that happens, it is stories of some of the meme coins that have managed to provide great profit to their initial investors which then becomes a motivation for a lot of people to become cryptocurrency investors.
Someone who learns a little bit about the industry will come to know that trading is not a get-rich-quick scheme and it is just that some people get lucky and manage to earn significant returns in a short period while others have to work hard to earn money in this industry.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ~~~When did you first heard about bitcoin 2024 Halving edition~~ on: March 19, 2024, 06:57:48 PM
It was 2014 when I first heard about Bitcoin. I used to look for ways to earn money online those days, and one of the days when I was surfing different websites through a Google search, I stumbled upon a Bitcoin faucet that was giving away satoshis for free every day, I was shocked to see that there is a currency that has a very high value, it was valued less than $500 at that time, I don't remember the exact price though.

That was my first impression of Bitcoin. After that, I started surfing different faucets and accumulate satoshis every day, from there onward, I started learning about Bitcoin and what it is, and I was very fascinated by the technology.

51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your doing for now? on: March 19, 2024, 04:22:53 AM
First of all, I am waiting for the bull season like everyone else. The Bitcoin halving, which I was waiting for in the first place, is now very close. It looks like we will have a long bull season because everything is developing very slowly. I am trying to follow the current market closely and get clues in the time we are in right now. Of course, investing as much as possible is like trying to be in the right positions during corrections.

What are you referring to when you say that everything is developing very slowly? I don't see anything going slowly, Bitcoin has hit a new all-time high even before the halving event, and most altcoins are extremely high compared to their previous prices during these times, obviously because of Bitcoin but still, I find all these things happening faster than we all had expected.
This time around, we have seen glitters of the bull run even before it's time, so I think things are going way faster than normal cycles. The market is correcting itself right now, but hopefully, we can get back on track very soon.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which narrative does a project have to adopt to gain your attention now? on: March 19, 2024, 04:00:57 AM
Three of the trending narratives in crypto atm are Gaming, AI and DePIN. All have gained massive popularity over the past year or so. I don't have precise stats to prove, but I'd say gaming still remains the biggest, with AI coming in close second.

So far we are yet to see much money flowing into DePIN. But there has certainly been a fair bit of interest in it. I'm curious about which you would opt for if you had to pick between a project in one of each of the three narratives above.

To be honest, I never invest in projects by seeing their narrative or to which trend they belong, all I see is whether the project has something to offer and whether it has the potential to stay long in the market and perform very well. If I find potential in it, no matter whether it is related to AI, DeFi, Gaming, NFTs, or anything in general, I would go and invest in it.
However, if a project has no potential at all, it lacks in everything starting from its website to its team and what use case it provides, then I would never invest in it even if it is from a topic that is trending at the moment.
53  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My First Experience With Bitcoin on: March 19, 2024, 03:41:26 AM
Therefore, on the basis of these two experiences of Bitcoin transactions narrated above, l have made up my mind to engage on Bitcoin investments and would like to be associated to all it's connotations.

It's good that you have decided to engage with Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market but as you go ahead and start your journey, you need to make sure you remember a few things.
Try to gather as much knowledge as possible before you get financially involved because it is essential to know everything from top to bottom before you have your money rolling into the market, this will help you manage your funds and your trades and investments in a better way.
Stay away from get-rich-quick schemes and projects that promise great returns in short time because none of that is true and they will only scam you out of your money.
54  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It is not to late, but how do I get established with BTC and the community? on: March 19, 2024, 03:23:28 AM
Hello all, Anyone starting with BTC this year, doesn't have the great opportunities from the past. It is not to late, but how do I get established with BTC and the community? Where to start that isn't just following everyone else, or too new for anyone to pay attention?

Well, as they say, better late than never. You could have much better opportunities, it's true, if you had joined last year, but you are still not too late in my opinion because what we see in the market right now is a pre-bull run which means that we are yet to have the halving event but Bitcoin managed to hit a new all-time high before it to surprise the world.
So, the current situation is that it is correcting itself, we don't know where it might go to but it is declining as of now, so maybe you should start buying in portions to accumulate some of it before the halving event and then we might see some action coming in.
55  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New trader's must remember it. on: March 19, 2024, 03:09:41 AM
I think the most important thing as a trader is to know and gain knowledge on this subject. Because trading is not a very easy thing, the worst part of it is that you can lose a lot of money by your wrong decisions. So it is quite important to analyze the cryptocurrency market and wait for the right time to trade Also you must trade according to your money  And it is not right to rush in trading. So take lots of time to learn and trade in small increments.

Someone needs to gain knowledge first before they get into trading because, without that, you can't do anything. You can't go to war without a gun, and trading without knowledge is just like going to war without having a firearm, and if you do that, you will most likely get killed in no time.
So if you are in the cryptocurrency market, and you want to trade and earn money, you have to learn the process first, don't be in a hurry because when you are in a rush, you will most likely be driven by your emotions and your emotions will make you take a lot of wrong steps and make wrong decisions.
56  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop paying money to learn trading when you can learn it yourself on: March 19, 2024, 02:52:32 AM
Also, anyone who tells you that you can become a profitable trader in just two months is a liar. Trading takes time to be acquainted with. It takes 3-4 years before a trader can be seen as a consistent and professional trader.

Though the more time you give it, the more you will learn and grow, however, I believe 3 to 4 years is a very long time even though I agree that 2 months is too short to become a full-fledged trader. It depends on the learning and grasping abilities of a person and how much time he would need to learn a certain thing. Some might learn everything within a few months, and some might make it in a couple of years.

3. Find a mentor, whether offline or online. You may not be close to this person but always study his trade

I thought you were telling everyone to learn for free, where can one get a free mentor? I don't think anyone would be ready to spend their time mentoring and guiding you for nothing nowadays.
57  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not let the over excitement after the bull-run pull you out to danger on: March 19, 2024, 01:50:43 AM
This has got me to ask, after the bull run and hopefully you hodles your Bitcoin til the ATH and then you have made enough money, are you going to go out there and let those who were in doubt about the profitable potentials of Bitcoin to let them know about your investment in the Bitcoin and how so well you are doing in the industry?

I don't see any reason for me to do that because at the end of the day, it is my investment and my finances and others don't need to know about them at all. I find this foolish if a person keeps telling everyone about where they have invested money, how much they have invested, and how much profit they have managed to get from their investment, I mean, why do you need to let them know? What do you want them to do about it?
I know that some people do this because they want others to appreciate them and feel that they are having the best life and they are great with finances and stuff but honestly, there is no need for that, and it is better to keep such things private in my opinion.
58  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy bitcoin now? on: March 19, 2024, 01:21:37 AM
Do you think it is convenient to buy bitcoin now according to your predictions? Or wait for its value to drop further?
The answer depends on the op and if I should answer now buy bitcoin now for another bull market if you can be able to wait that long. I can't tell what will be the price of bitcoin in the next 5 years time but with the knowledge I have acquired so far I still buy now using the dca strategy so you also should learn about bitcoin, how bitcoin works in terms of the market value etc before you start investing so you can be sure of what you're doing. The value of bitcoin keeps increasing so we can't tell what will happen in the next 10 years time so buy now or else it's likely you might still ask same question.

There is no way for anyone to perfectly time the market, so it is better that when a person enters the market, they start buying immediately with a portion of their capital using the DCA method as you mentioned, because you never know what the price might be the next day, it might go down and provide a better opportunity for buyers, but it can also go up and leave those who didn't buy earlier hanging.

The cryptocurrency market is all about quick thinking and quick decision making skills, if you can make the right decisions at the right time, you will be on the brighter side for sure, but if you do the opposite, you will have a hard time in this market.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Years ago people laughed at me bcz of THIS on: March 18, 2024, 05:54:25 PM
How does it correlate? I still think you are crazy or high on some hard substance for over 4 years now, let's be logical and anyone will laugh at what you have mentioned and moreover you have audacity of reposting and justifying it just makes me laugh even now. Let's come out of delusional world and be realistic.

If he is high on something, and that is the reason why he has been posting such things for so long, I think we should let him enjoy the feeling.  Grin

Anyway, coming back to the topic, OP was probably not okay back then and he probably isn't okay yet, because a sane person with their mind in the right place would never say things that he did back in the day and as you said, he is here to justify his words and make others feel bad for laughing at him.  Grin I feel bad but I can't help it, I have to laugh as well.  Grin
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Day i have lost my 100 bitcoins on: March 18, 2024, 05:32:10 PM
Similar to the mentioned incident, it is possible to see a good number of users losing access to their wallets, which have a good amount of bitcoin. People never thought of bitcoin reaching this high, and the same makes them go careless. When the price has reached its peak, people start looking for the wallet and try to remember the recovery phrase. Some people were lucky to recover the wallet with the backup, but the majority lost it. So, we need to be careful when handling anything, despite the value it holds.

You are right that we should take good care of the things we own despite their current value because we never know what value they might have in the future. So as it is always said a person shouldn't just learn from their own mistakes but they should also learn from the mistakes of others, so such stories teach us the lesson that we shouldn't be careless with our assets even if they aren't worth a lot for now.

100 Bitcoins right now is a life-changing amount, and I'm pretty sure anyone that have lost that much money will feel extremely bad, so I feel sorry for OP, however, I believe it's his own mistake because he had the Bitcoins in a USB stick and still couldn't keep it somewhere safe.
