I think you meant mBTC? uBTC is 0.000001 BTC, which means a 10,000 word essay will earn you 1 BTC which is roughly $0.25 USD. I don't think you can profitably hand write a 10,000 word essay for $0.25 USD. If the essay is a copy/paste, then ok.

But what's the point? They already have something called dollar. Why bother creating another bitcoin-like currency? If they can print more bitcoins, they can tax it and only they cansee who is making transaction, then it's the same as dollar. No point.
FTFY, but I agree anyway.

The fascinating thing about Ripple is it really exposes the critical flaw in the current banking and currency system.
I wondered why Ripple had to create their own credit unit for expressing loans. Then I finally realized: they could never have used BTC, precisely because BTC is non-reversible.
In our current system, banks can create and lend the very same thing that is on deposit in their vault. There is no separation between hard currency and credit. The complete non-suitability of BTC for credit makes this totally clear!
Ripple credits are subject to all the same problems as USD and all other currencies. Maybe the banking entity model is new, but most of the old problems remain and will appear in no time.
Reversible transactions, debt money, central banks, all of those cause problems.

I don't really know about that. I will help with a different question NOT involving yubikey.

Every heard of the website Megaupload? So far, the US hasn't been able to extradite the executives of this website, but they got what they wanted. They were able to shut down Metgaupload without any due process. You mean they didn't get a conviction against Kim Dotcom, and they only got him to launch the all new Mega, which is generally a huge improvement and step forward from the old Megaupload. Or what about The Pirate Bay. They've been trying to shut that down for years.. to no avail whatsoever ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) If exchanges were actually being forced to close (which I don't see happening), we'd see new exchanges appearing immediately on TOR, darknet, freenet, China, and whatnot. No sir, there's no stopping Bitcoin for governments, bankers, or anyone. Exactly. The US has no power over foreign banking (with the exception of outlying territories and Japan) to speak of.
