The Waves Wallet and all of Waves serious connections in government and finance are a great partner for CoExistCoin. it was a great thing that Wavers helped them become the first ever coin transfer completely over to the Waves blockchain. With the help of Wavesgo and OCL (Oceanlabs) CoExist is positioned to really be the only viable way for people to donate and it to be tracked 100% from donation to the actual people receive the donations. You can't do that with the Red Cross or the United Way. Nothing is hidden on the blockchain. I think it's a great innovation, so great that alot fo other people are copying almostr exactly what CoExistCoin is doing. CoExistCoin has been doing it since 2015 and was the first to do it and has a track record of never misusing funds.

I've invested in CoExistCoin since 2015. It was the first charity coin, I knew of back then.
The only thing similar was Evergreencoin and Solarcoin as far as I know. Might be wrong. Anyway the Dev showed he can be trusted which is the most important part of a charity coin for me.

Compared to major charities with operating budgets in the multi billions per year that only give 5-10% of their donations to the communities and MOST of that actually never filters down;
How could it possibly be worse ? Vetting locals organizations isn't hard. There are many small local charities that are already fully vetted. I am sure part of the process will be vetting those actual small charities.
It's also a way to donate to already established charities using crypto and for CoExist to make a deal that any of the funds transferred have to be used at a certain % at the actual ground level.

The community will also be involved. Each charity has to be community approved as per the white paper. The crypto community is pretty good at ferreting out scammers. I'd rather put it to the crypto community over a multi billion dollar NGO any day. The stories I could tell you about NGO's in Cambodia would make your head spin. Scams from everyone I meet for years, but the money rolled in.

From my understanding, that is one part of it. Many community based charities, say in Namibia or Peru have a hard time getting actual funds because of banking problems.
One of the things the Dev is trying to do is make it easy for people to donate crypto and 90-95% of it ending up in the actual hands of the people in need.

The whitepaper states that there are many other functions of the coin, from my reading of it anyway.

Hey guys, I was a big investor in CoExistCoin and we kept having problems with the Wallet and a few exchanges always going down.
I suggested to the Dev that we see if we can migrate over to the Waves blockchain.
The Community agreed that it would be a great idea. The problem was there was no engine to swap over to the Waves blockchain.

Fast Forward. I bugged a few of the coders close to Waves and also the Dev of Waves-Go (the Explorer for Waves). He decided to be nice and help us out.

It was a little touch and go at first, because it had never been done before, but once he got the code locked in. It went PERFECTLY.

He asked me if I knew any other coins that had messed up wallets or lack of an exchange. I told him there must be at least 20 or so Out there in Altcoin land.
