Account steemit now has "vesting_shares": "260554.000000 VESTS" The network now has "total_vesting_shares": "336943.000000 VESTS" The network currently has 401,632.500 STEEM in accounts and/or vesting. Total Liquid Steem right now: 64,657.000 STEEM (16% of supply) most of which is held by people on Bitcoin Talk.
Eclipse Crytpo need not worry about us dumping any faster than anyone else.
Based on this data i wont sell my coins less than 0.02 BTC per STEEM

A couple of things to note:
1. I build and mine with Ubuntu 14.04 2. Everyone loves proof of work, unless it involves *real work* like reading code or compiling source
The entire build process is more or less a clone of BitShares which also builds on Windows, the tools are free.
If the concept of proof of work is "I was able to download and run a script" then that doesn't represent real work, especially if those running the script already have the hardware and don't pay for their electricity.
Furthermore, most of those who are mining don't even know what it is they are mining or why it might have value. Many here make assumptions about Steem and we are counting on those wrong assumptions.
1. Some assume Steem needs miners to be successful, but we consider mining a niche that is too small to matter 2. Some assume 113% increase in STEEM supply every year is too much, but fail to investigate how the 113% is allocated 3. Some assume I am one guy acting alone with no money and no vision
Window's binaries will be made available when the time is right.
Good job dev, im mining, holding & trying to understand the code. What I've found out is that STEEM have a PoS (voting), a blockchain market, Dapps ( not 100% sure ) & some kind of data publishing ?
can we place orders on the blockchain to convert/sell STEEM to SBD or SBD to STEEM now ?
Do we have to git pull ? or its fine to keep mining ?
Maybe all of this bumbling around is just a front to skillfully hide the super powers within Steem? But you would never believe that It wouldn't be the first time someone pulled that here. We'll see what happens here. :-) remember vanillacoin ?

Anyone find anything yet(not dev)? I have 10,000 hps and still nothing, or I think nothing cause list_my_accounts 3575798ms th_a websocket_api.cpp:77 on_message ] message: {"id":14,"result":[[],[],[]]}
shows that, and am guessing it means empty.
i got lots of blocks myself, u must import_key PRIVKEY , to list your accounts

Finally hashing. One final question if you don't mind, how do I find my balance? I've tried several of the commands. list_my_accounts for instance doesn't show anything useful. Thanks. list_my_accounts will show ur account/s details including the balance only if you have imported your key via import_key command EDIT: if you see balance 0 it means you still got no blocks I tried that using the priv key i'm using for mining but the response was: websocket_api.cpp:77 on_message ] message: {"id":17,"result":[[]} [] I used the priv key by using the command get_private_key on the "active" public key listed after creating the account. Was that wrong? use the commad : suggest_brain_key it will print out a key and a memo passpharse

bavak, dark, arsahk, have joined in the mix.
The code should build on windows.
i own nxt*9, dark, thisisnice*9
This launch has the following people in it: cloop, nxt, thisisnice, dantheman Accounts: root, admin, administrator, steem, any, moderator, and unknown plus anything starting with steemit are our own mining efforts. The distribution of mining is much more even with this launch than last launch. thanks dev this is good relaunch, I'm Producing Blocks + broadcasting PoWs , i still don't understand whats the difference but it seems cool

mining again

im in for the relaunch

NO PREMINE | NO INSTAMINE this is not true and should be removed launch of this coin was setup to let dev instamine and get big premine... This is true. The coin is so impossible to mine that you can't say it wasn't a premine/instamine. Dev: what do you plan on doing with the premine? You need to start by saying what safeguards you will make against dumping it. And don't delete this post. I'm not criticizing what you did. I want to know your plans. 1. the coin is not impossible to mine, I have a standard desktop PC running the open source code and producing several POW per hour 2. you may have noticed VESTS (vesting STEEM), the Steem network is set up to ensure that 90% of all all Steem is locked for an average of 1 year continuously. 3. after the initial bootstrap phase, all mining rewards automatically get converted to vesting Steem (see code for details) 4. someone asked about the supply 143994.000 STEEM vs block number 35706 showing an average STEEM per block of 4.00 - 50% of that supply is actually locked up by the network to be distributed on July 4th, 2016 based upon another kind of proof of work (already coded, no hard forks). - that leaves 2 STEEM per block, 1 to the producer for producing the block, and 21 to the producer for including someone else POW. { "id": "2.0.0", "head_block_number": 35706, "head_block_id": "00008b7a0d1a0c61f9d8b13e1fe484a9b7efa12a", "time": "2016-03-24T12:43:33", "current_witness": "alice", "total_pow": "18446744048010777929", "num_pow_witnesses": 80, "virtual_supply": "143994.000 STEEM", "current_supply": "143994.000 STEEM", "confidential_supply": "0.000 STEEM", "current_sbd_supply": "0.000 SBD", "confidential_sbd_supply": "0.000 SBD", "total_vesting_fund_steem": "270.000 STEEM", "total_vesting_shares": "270.000000 VESTS", "total_reward_fund_steem": "71412.000 STEEM", "total_reward_shares2": "0", "sbd_interest_rate": 1000, "average_block_size": 115, "maximum_block_size": 131072, "current_aslot": 44071, "recent_slots_filled": "340282366920938463463374607431768211455", "last_irreversible_block_num": 35685, "max_virtual_bandwidth": "4151066908544379562", "current_reserve_ratio": 1786, "head_block_num": 35706, "head_block_age": "2 seconds old", "participation": "100.00000000000000000", "median_sbd_price": { "base": "0.000 STEEM", "quote": "0.000 STEEM" } } Thanks for info, can you explain this line more : - that leaves 2 STEEM per block, 1 to the producer for producing the block, and 21 to the producer for including someone else POW. where did the other 21 STEEM comes from if the block reward is 2 STEEM ? i never got a block with 21 STEEM rewards, im always getting 1 STEEM and only 1 VESTS once time for each miner.

when is block to halving? 4 year like bitcoin?
Reward is constant until it inflation reaches about 113% per year, then it remains at that level. hey dev, please check pm.

i've made my first tx : { "ref_block_num": 20616, "ref_block_prefix": 1419248958, "expiration": "2016-03-23T23:48:27", "operations": [[ "transfer",{ "from": "****", "to": "*****", "amount": "1.5 1.5", "memo": "test" } ] ], "extensions": [], "signatures": [ "******640a437ff373e886115776f15ab707ceb4597f6ff772231225****..........." ] } but cant verify if received, the "to" account balance didn't change. transfer FROM TO AMOUNT memo bool << what is bool ? i put 1 in there but not sure EDIT: i found out the bool = broadcast the tx true or false but then it fails , im not sure what is the allowed amount and whats the format ? 1.5, 1.000 and 1 do not work . transfer fromname toname "1.000 STEEM" "memo" true It is important to have the full precision 1.000 and to use the quotes. now it works im enjoying with steem Thanks
