41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the NSA identified Satoshi Nakamoto on: August 30, 2017, 08:04:26 PM
is this for real or just fake news?

Disrespectful words "caught" should not have been used on a well respected person as Satoshi. Says a lot about the intention of those "looking for him".  So annoying to be frank.

To be clear, the only person that used the word "caught" is the original poster here...it's not mentioned anywhere in the article or as a quote from the NSA. So, frank, your annoyance is with the guy that started this thread.

As for the Medium article...it's fluff. There's no substance, no confirmation, no definitive answers. It's click bait. The only interest component is the idea that ones identity could be revealed based on comparing thousands of text samples. The author of the Medium article states"his contact at the NSA" has claimed this is how the NSA knows who Satoshi is...but of course no one is saying anything on the record.

It's fluff. Even if the NSA knows, if they won't tells they know or they won't tell us who Satoshi is, this is just pointless prose.
Annoyance? I posted the acticle. I did not write it. Roll Eyes

I did say caught because that is what the NSA is doing. When you chase something that has eluded your organization for so long, you are going to catch them thus caught is the proper term to use.
I give no apologizes for the word I use there.
You think the governments that are chasing Julian Assange is not wanting to catch him as well?

If I did not post then you would not know about their current find on the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto and the CATCHING of him and REVEALING him for everybody to know who he truly is.

Thanks for reading and making your own assumptions.
Shows your relevance to the subject in trying to uncover who he really is.
As this FACT has eluded everybody on the forums and the entire world thus far! Wink
42  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-29] It Looks Like New Bitcoin Millionaires Are Avoiding the IRS on: August 30, 2017, 06:43:01 PM
Well the IRS was starting this with butting it's nose in the affairs of people who use coinbase as a source of their bitcoin purchases.
So this was bound to happen.
Since they have been collect customer;s personal data from coinbase since they imposed those customers pay their taxes since they see it as profiteering now all because bitcoin has surpassed golds price quite a while ago.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the NSA identified Satoshi Nakamoto on: August 30, 2017, 03:46:30 PM
They said with in a month they will release who it truly is.
And now with the thing with alot of movement with coins which have not moved since they were deposited over 7 years ago. It is no doubt they have got their man/woman and will reveal who they really are soon if not later than this date they have given to do so.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How the NSA identified Satoshi Nakamoto on: August 30, 2017, 03:08:33 PM

https://medium.com/@amuse/how-the-nsa-caught-satoshi-nakamoto-868affcef595

So they finally say they have caught the elusive Satoshi Nakamoto. Undecided

Excerpt from source material of Time magazine:
"The ‘creator’ of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, is the world’s most elusive billionaire. Very few people outside of the Department of Homeland.."

Do you think they really caught him after the whole Craig Wright debacle last year and the old guy from Japan known as the face of the surprised as hell Nakamoto.

Weight in your thoughts.

We would all like to know your opinion on the subject. Grin
45  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hoping for Bitcoin to drop on: August 27, 2017, 10:34:24 PM
I can not see it dropping anytime soon.
This is the so called "Golden age" for bitcoin.
With the splitting of the blockchain happening already and segwit being activated about three days ago and it has not dropped in price and is instead increasing which is far from what everybody thought would of happened to it once the former happened at the beginning of the month.
46  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-27] One-Man Band To Create The Second Altcoin Forum In The World on: August 27, 2017, 10:31:48 PM
Heard about this forum but didn't really pay attention to them actually.
Thought it was just a rip off of what we have here in the forums.

But if they are dedicated to alt coins
then this is a different thing altogether and I might check them out as I see the alt coin section here kind of segregated off since it is a most dedicated to BTC instead.

Atleast this is how I get from the vibe here visiting the alt coin section and marketplace. Undecided
47  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bittrex phishing warning on: August 27, 2017, 10:26:33 PM
Honestly i think Google is partially to blame here as well. They can clearly see someone is impersonating the domain yet wants to throw money at it for an ad. I assumed they had filters against that sort of BS.

They are to blame.
They aren't check the links the person is using for their adsense service.
Which they should have a dedicated quality assurance department to look at these type of things from happening.
Alot of people use their search engine so they have the responsibility to look after their customers who view their site and use it for their searches.
Wouldn't you agree? Embarrassed
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Centra Tech - Centra Card & Wallet App Official thread. on: August 27, 2017, 07:38:09 PM
Etherdelta is the reason of this sudden price surges but this exchange is not endorsed by Centra or can I say it is an unofficial exchange for CTR. What Centra plan 21 days prior to the end of ICO is kraken and poloniex. If you have questions feel free to join us in slack channel: https://centratech.herokuapp.com/
Kraken and Poloniex are good, but what about Bittrex and Binance? I think the world of cryptocurrency flowed on these exchanges. Are they in the plans? Wink

So is bitssent they partnered with actually bithumb or binance?

I can't find any information about bittsent.
Any body can confirm who this phantom exchange in korea is? Huh

I would be more rest assured when it lands on exchanges that I know and trust like kraken and bittrex.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Centra Tech ICO | Multi-Blockchain Worldwide Debit Card & Insured Wallet on: August 27, 2017, 07:29:08 PM
I do hope Centra does go on major exchange as I do not like to trade on ETHERDELTA. My Wife complained of many problems on that exchange so I will wait for one of the other more reliable exchanges to trade. We bought over 8 Ether worth in Pre ICO so I would only trade a little portion of it anyway.

Indeed your right!, if Centra goes on to major exchanges, it will spread the word about the project and will ensure an even distribution for every stakeholders, thereby keeping the price as healthy as possible.
The way I have heard of projects with alt coins were from being listed on th cryptopia exchange first.
Since they have a "featured coins" scroll bar with the featured ones and not the most traded ones like the bigger exchanges have on their scroll bar like bittrex and poloniex has.
This is how I knew about the four or five coins that I have collected over the past year just from that featured series on the smaller exchange.

Just heard about partnership with a Korean company by the name of bittset.

I think they are a part of binance.  Huh

Can anyone confirm or deny this?
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alt coin mining on: August 25, 2017, 03:39:06 AM
Cloak mining nets you 6% annually guaranteed, and can be done on a cheap $200 laptop without burning it up because it is POS mining not POW mining (meaning that it requires less energy).  And if you are lucky to mine some Enigma transactions (becaue Cloak is anonymous), then you can make a lot more $$$.

Can you tell me more about what Cloak mining is?  Is there a website I can actually read some information on this at all?
Never heard of cloak mining either. Would like some more information about it or even a link to a thread so we can do more research on it.

Also heard of a monero mining program but it installs a miner on someone's robolox account (whatever that is).
Sounds like a hack tool or something but it deposits into your wallet.
Maybe try it out on a network of your own computers so you will not get caught and get yourself in a lot of trouble.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Centra Tech - Centra Card & Wallet App Official thread. on: August 25, 2017, 03:35:29 AM
There will be a MAJOR announcement today from Centra Team. Stay tuned!

Join the ongoing slack raffle as well to win free Centra Cards and Eth!  Grin
What is this announcement and when will it be revealed?

Nothing on their slack channel yet last time I checked.

Will they be posting it on here or another thread?
54  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Questions about ICO participation as a United States citizen on: August 25, 2017, 03:33:22 AM
There is one ICO that I know of that is allowing sale of their tokens to US citizens.

They worked out some work around it so they are not under the rulings of SEC and this law that is not allowing the participation of anyone from the US in their sale or company ownership of their tokens.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 22, 2017, 03:46:37 AM
Why was monero withdrawals suspended on hitbtc?

"Dear traders, for a while XMR withdrawals might take longer to proceed.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause."

I remember hearing about something today about monero in the news regarding something but can not recall what it was.
56  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 22, 2017, 03:06:52 AM
Any ideas how to best prepare for the next fork (which will probably be our own)?
Pls don't say Litecoin.

Just move your coins to addresses where you control the private keys and hope it gets sorted out. If neither Core nor btc1 are going to do adequate replay protection, it might get really messy. However, BU has been around for quite some time, and someone could have attempted a hard fork with that software, but no one did. Let's hope that no one will dare execute btc1 hard fork, and we will just have to deal with the scaling squabble for many months, if not years to come.

BU was most of the time below 40% hashrate. Segwit2x is over 90%.

Also BCH is a completely new altcoin. It even has modification in the difficulty adjustment algo, which has allowed it survive. With current diff algo the minoritary Bitcoin chain would really struggle to survive if a HF happens because of Segwit2x discrepancies.

Watched a vid by Roger Ver earlier. Full of lies and stupidity. Reckons homogeneous is another word for privacy. If he doesn't understand English, what hope for BCC?
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Centra Tech - Centra Card & Wallet App Official thread. on: August 21, 2017, 01:27:28 PM
Hello,

How long is ICO opened? What is the maximum amount of investment?
It runs until the end of the month from the looks of it.
But their raffle should be completed before this happens.
So I am not completely sure now. Undecided

Maybe if a representative can confirm these two dates for the ones who are interested and looking to invest in this card.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Centra Tech - Centra Card & Wallet App Official thread. on: August 21, 2017, 12:05:45 AM

59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Minexcoin (ICO started) on: August 21, 2017, 12:04:37 AM
hallo minexcoin i still park my MNX coin in bounty portal will be safe because i do not have minexcore,i wait untill MNX rilis on exchange

I wanna know this also, can we store them on bounty portal for now?

Best not too. It is not too secure for any bounty portal.
Move them off there as soon as you can. Because they are not safe to keep any tokens worth any value on there.
And you have it set up the right way.  Wink
