I am a bit disappointed in this coin, communication with the team is pretty bad after the ICO ended and nothing really happened since april, which is already 5 months ago. I hope things turn around. This is not how you should treat your investors.

Some talented people hired and now devs teams is getting bigger I hope development process will be more faster and in the end this project will rock. I was stoked for this update, too. Not doubting the report from slack that good things are happening, I would just rather have a dialog here.
I believe you can put value into a cryptocurrency that makes the price go up. Is there some action that be achieved in light of the vision statement? How can ROSCA bootstrap someone and it get on the news? How can someone we know get funded for research like the OP describes? I'm serious about my questions. I invest a little in a lot of coins so I don't have time to read the whole thread. I would rather dialog here to see if people are active in this community. People always say "join the slack group" which is fine but this is the easiest way to do due diligence.
Ahoy paramind! I'm the community engagement guy for WeTrust. It's a part time gig for now and the focus is on the slack channel b/c it's the easiest place to have rich discourse (btctalk isn't ideal for tracking multiple threads). That said I'm checking in here every few days or so. tehMoonwalker has the right idea. The team is working on an ecosystem of financial empowerment products. The ROSCA is basically the foundation of that ecosystem. Once we've got that foundation things get pretty exciting, but for now the focus is on heads-down coding and brand strategy. The marketing plan will be coming together as we get closer to ROSCA launch (by end of 2017) and until then there's isn't a whole lot to say. Happy to have a go at reasonable questions. I def feel like a broken record saying "team is cranking, awesomeness coming before end of 2017". No solid release date b/c we're not shoveling BS. We'll let you know when we've got a date in mind. I really am glad to be here gang. I'm gonna try not to blow smoke up your butts. Like I said the team is crankin on the ROSCA app, which is really the technical foundation for pretty much anything else we want to build. Accounts + contributions + escrow + distribution = the basics of pretty much any financial instrument, so once we've got that we can get really creative really quickly. In the meantime there's much to figure out re: market fit, MVP feature set, brand identity, marketing strategy, and a ton more.
It's exciting and the sky's the limit but it really can't be rushed.

@dzarmush, dude where you been?! No roadmap update just yet, but we do expect the ROSCA app to be out before end of 2017. We'll have plenty more updates and it should get a lot more interesting in the run up to launching the app.
@finestream & @alonzo ewing, I don't like tracking token value in BTC bc it's so volatile. Pretty sure TRST is at about 2x or 3x from ICO price against the dollar. I know a bunch of us have no intention of trading back for fiat but I think it's the fairer pair to price track with at this time.
@FiNaLize you my favorite heckler lol. I hope the community straightened you out that there's no new ICO. The survey is re: a potential product to facilitate safer, easier, more secure group-ICO purchases. Yes, we spent a little time exploring the breadth of possibilities. Now we're back to laser focus on finishing the ROSCA app for the aforementioned reasons. They've got a few folks like me thinking in the background on the creative side while they crank out the initial crowdsale promise.

Ahoy bitcointalk! My name is Damo (real name Damien Michael Nichols). I've been helping out with community engagement on the WeTrust slack. The team asked me to come keep you guys company. It's been ages since I've been on bitcointalk. Now I remember why lol. The FUD is real, y'all, wow. Anyway, I'm the first member of the team with some marketing experience and though I'm only part time for now I'm happy to hang out and try to keep you guys up to date. The rest of the team is focused on building products that will create real value for us TRST hodlers, seriously. Though it is 2017 and one might expect that this would be a pretty straightforward exercise, it turned out there was enough maneuvering room left for the team to make development of the token contract interesting and fun.
We defined our most important requirements to be 1) that the contract conforms to the ERC20 standard, 2) that we make its code as simple as possible, 3) that the contract itself be upgradable because, well, knowing exactly what the future holds is not a big part of our skillset, and last but certainly not least 4) that the contract be secure.Want to learn more about how we drill down into these requirements?
