41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in on a Hillary win bet on: November 07, 2016, 07:22:02 PM
I would not be confident enough to go all in for a Hillary victory, even though she is the favorite (anywhere from 3-1 to 5-1 odds). Most of the experts are picking Clinton, although she has a lot going against her. Trump does have some baggage as well, but he also has the more enthusiastic supporters. If the polls are correct, then Trump will have to win all the swing states, and has no room for error. There is also no secret that the media is trying their best to get Hillary elected, despite her obvious flaws. The election will be very interesting to watch tomorrow!
42  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are illegal aliens allowed to vote in the us elections? on: November 07, 2016, 07:07:12 PM
Illegal immigrants are not allowed to vote in the US elections. It is against the law, just like if a legal citizen voted more than once is, and if caught, they will be arrested and charged with a crime. That being said, it is probably happening in many states that have possible voter fraud, since you do not even have to show an ID to vote. All that is asked upon you is your name and signature, which is a completely absurd and wrong system, and could easily be taken advantage of.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Really The Future Of Money? on: November 07, 2016, 04:38:54 PM
There is a chance that Bitcoin will be the future of money! No one knows what the future holds and all we can do is make predictions. Many pessimists have discounted Bitcoin and have said that the cryptocurrency has been dead for many years, but the current price for a whole Bitcoin is over 700 US dollars. I like to think of Bitcoin optimistically, where the sky is the limit and the currency will replace cash. All we can do now is spread the word of Bitcoin and have more people realize the potential.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 07, 2016, 04:32:27 PM
From the seven games to choose from today's NBA schedule, the most competitive and best one seems to be the 4-2 Detroit Pistons at the 5-1 Los Angeles Clippers. The Pistons don't have any big name stars on their team but play well as a team, while the Clippers have a star-studded lineup of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, among others. I predict that the Clippers will win in a close game. The Golden State Warriors are also playing against the winless New Orleans Pelicans, and should have no problem defeating them at home.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin help your life in daily needs? on: November 07, 2016, 12:55:39 AM
I see Bitcoin as the future of currency, but at the current moment, it is only a hobby for me. It does not currently help my life in daily needs, but that is because it is not as widely accepted as cash is. There are only a limited number of places that accept Bitcoin, which is a shame, and it might be a long time until that changes. If Bitcoin was accepted everywhere I went, it would be my number one option for payment. In the meantime, I will continue to collect Bitcoin and promote it in the best way I can.
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever won a unexpected amount with a small amount ? on: November 07, 2016, 12:45:39 AM
I do not gamble and sports-bet as often as some here, but when I do play, I like to take parlays, which in my opinion, is the best way to turn a small amount of money into a large sum. The most I have won is only 40 times the bet on a wager with a five-team parlay, taking mostly favorites. The parlays do not result in many winning plays, but I feel it is better than taking a massive underdog at very high odds, with very little chance of winning.
47  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FBI Says It Will Investigate New Hillary Clinton Emails on: November 06, 2016, 08:12:41 PM
The reopened FBI investigation against Hillary Clinton could help Donald Trump on election day, which is less than two days away. Clinton could face criminal charges in the upcoming weeks, but could be pardoned by President Obama before anything occurs. If she is elected President and takes the oath of office on January 20, 2017, she can even pardon herself, so there seems to be a lot at stake currently for Clinton. If Trump is chosen to be the next President, he said that he would look into the investigation himself, and has threatened Clinton with jail time, most notably at the second debate.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao Vs Vargas on: November 06, 2016, 08:06:54 PM
Manny Pacquiao showed that he is still one of boxing's best with a dominating performance last night. He beat a young talented champion with relative ease, even scoring a knockdown along the way. Pacquiao's next fight could be a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, but he would still be an underdog in that fight, and I don't see a different result if they were to fight again, unless Floyd lost a step in the two years he has been retired. Manny is getting older and should think about retiring while still on top of his game.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 05, 2016, 03:54:16 PM
The results in yesterday's NBA games show that upsets can happen at anytime. There were not a lot of people who thought that the Knicks would beat the Bulls or that the Lakers would easily defeat the Warriors. The best game for today is the late one between the 4-1 Los Angeles Clippers and the 5-1 San Antonio Spurs. These are the two of the four best teams in the Western Conference, and this could be a possible Western Conference Finals match-up. I think the Spurs are the better team and will prove it at home.
50  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rigging the Election - Video II: Mass Voter Fraud on: November 05, 2016, 03:40:48 PM
The Democrats will do whatever it takes to stay in power, and if that means rigging the election, so be it. Trump has a lot more enthusiasm and support, as evident in his crowd rallies and people who watch these rallies. Trump averages about 15,000-20,000 people per rally (and he has 3-4 rallies a day), while Clinton only averages a small percentage of that. The polls have also become increasingly close, ever since the FBI reopened their investigation, and the Democrats are panicking and this might be their only chance to win.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Series and films in which Bitcoin appears on: November 05, 2016, 03:31:24 PM
There has been many series and films in which Bitcoin has appeared in, and with the popularity of the cryptocurrency on the rise, I expect many more series to present the topic of Bitcoin to the masses. Most of the special documentaries and films that I have seen with Bitcoin have already been mentioned in previous posts, but to add one more: Morgan Spurlock Inside Man. Morgan Spurlock is the man behind the Super Size Me documentary and he also made a documentary about Bitcoin.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nfl plays for the week of Sunday 11/6 on: November 04, 2016, 03:44:44 PM
The best game of the week might be the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos against the surprisingly-good Oakland Raiders. Both teams currently have a record of 6-2, but I think that the Raiders will pull off the upset at home in this game. Two other quality battles for Week 9 are the Eagles vs. Giants (always a great NFC East game) and Colts vs. Packers. I am picking the Giants and Packers in those two games, but I expect them to be close and could go either way.
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 04, 2016, 03:32:49 PM
The two games that I am looking forward to most today are the New York Knicks at the Chicago Bulls and the Golden State Warriors at the Los Angeles Lakers. While both games should be easily won by the two favorites (Bulls and Warriors), there is still great intrigue to these two match-ups. For the Knicks-Bulls game, this will be the first time that Rose and Noah will play against their former team. For the Warriors-Lakers game, we will see how the new Lakers' head coach Luke Walton adjusts to the team that he briefly coached last season.
54  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Hillary Clinton Trustworthy? on: November 03, 2016, 10:52:16 PM
With all the information that we now know just days before the election, I can definitively say that Hillary Clinton is not trustworthy. She might become the 45th President of the United States but that will not change my stance that she is dishonest, based on all the leaked e-mail information. If she is elected by the majority of the American people, then so be it, but I would not feel comfortable with her as my president because of the possible actions she could take with countries such as Russia, that could result in a third World War.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 03, 2016, 07:45:13 PM
The game of the day has to be the the 4-0 Oklahoma City Thunder at the 3-1 Golden State Warriors. There are many storylines between these two great teams but the biggest has to be Kevin Durant playing against his former team. This game will be very emotional, as this is also a rematch of last year's Western Conference Finals. I am predicting Russell Westbrook to have another monster game, possibly another triple-double, but the Warriors will come out with the win at home.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venezuela Citizens Turn To Bitcoins In Record Numbers on: November 03, 2016, 05:53:42 PM
Seeing as how the economy of Venezuela has collapsed, it should come as no surprise that many of the people living in that country have turned to Bitcoin. Venezuela's economy is one of the worst in the world, with more than 80% of the population living in poverty, increasing food shortages, and massive inflation. The country relies on oil as their main commodity, and with oil near their lowest mark, the country is suffering. The Venezuelan people have had enough of their government and their response is to invest in Bitcoins as a way to survive.
57  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Up Like Trump on: November 03, 2016, 04:59:36 PM
The polls in the last week have been tremendous for Trump, showing him either tied or ahead in most of the nationwide polls, and up in key battleground states such as New Hampshire, Virginia, Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, and Nevada (all states that Trump must win). I know not to believe the polls and the dishonest media but this has to be a good sign. Hillary has lost a number of supporters after the FBI reopened their investigation. I just hope for a fair and honest election.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Major League Baseball/MLB Regular Season Discussion on: November 03, 2016, 04:46:34 PM
This had to be one of the best baseball games of all time and delivered on all expectations. These two great teams gave it their all, and I am glad that the Cubs finally broke the curse and won their first World Series since 1908. I think the Cubs will be a difficult team to beat in years to come and many more World Series championships are in their future. The Cubs have to be the early favorite to repeat as champions in 2017 and I would not bet against them.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of Banning Bitcoin ? on: November 02, 2016, 09:55:51 PM
I don't believe that the banning of Bitcoin from country to country would have a major effect, unless there was a world-wide effort to stop the crpytocurrency from gaining notoriety. Every country has different laws and regulations when it comes to Bitcoin. At the current moment, Bitcoin is not banned by any major country, as far as I know. Doing some research, I could only find Indonesia and Malaysia as two countries that do not accept Bitcoin as legal tender, although many countries do not want to regulate it.
60  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hillary is Finished, This Exploding Google Trend Proves It - "Change Early Vote" on: November 02, 2016, 03:15:39 PM
All the momentum is currently on Donald Trump's side. According to the polls, Trump has made up nearly 10-15% in about a week, and went from being down somewhere between 8-12% in all national polls to being either tied or up 1-5% in them. There are still six more days until election day and Trump will still have to turn at least one blue state (such as Pennsylvania) to get to 270 electoral votes and win the Presidency, but it is not impossible.
