42  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which exchange is the most honest and reliable? on: November 29, 2013, 09:46:25 AM
I have a few bitcoins in my wallet and would love to trade some of the different currencies such as litecoin and namecoin but I would class myself as being extremely cautious and overly pessimistic. I have read so many things about BTC-e that make me inclined to go elsewhere - but where?

I see only reported delays for USD deposits for BTC-e, but when your BTC get not added by a chance, their customer support is very bad.
Use cryptsy instead but because cryptsy doesnt accept USD deposits, it might be more risky and shady

After 1000, Hello slow ride to 10k. Normal people won't even invest in it till its around 10k

If bitcoin goes from 1k to 10k my bet is that it is going to be the greater roller coaster the world has ever seen  Grin

I dont think, unless you call 1k -> 10k  -> 6k  -> 25k  roller coaster  Tongue

45  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Way to earn BTC? on: November 24, 2013, 06:54:14 PM
Invest with coinlenders and earn interest

I guess you might have lost some coins and you dont know about it yet.

I don't understand your logic. If you believe in bitcoin why sell it? To buy what? If you don't need to sell then why do it. The only option I see as a reason is to pay off debt and to live a debt free lifestyle. If not. Just hold eventually you will just spend them like normal and you will spend less than you need because the value will continually increase. Not to mention.... 40% tax on that!!!!!! Go ahead cash out for cash, pay taxes on it. Or just sit on it and just spend it. No tax! hmmmmmmmmmm
Only if you voluntarily advertise to the world that you made money on Bitcoin.

I don't see any reason why someone would do that.

As far as I know, the exchanges don't correspond with the IRS either.

It continues to fascinate me that we take all the financial risk, and the government takes none of it, yet we have to give them 30% + of any gains we make on it.

The epitome of unethical bullshit in my book.

The worst is you cant deduct the tax if you make loss instead, I mean for normal working person like me, not a professional trader.

So, are you suggesting me to go and buy an ASIC USB miner (a bunch of them) and start mining?

These are pretty power and cost ineffective. Use these for fun and supporting Bitcoin only.

It can be very tough to get bitcent (0.01) from free faucets. It might take one month and  lot of submited captchas  Smiley

Eventually it will slow down and drop I think.

Yes. As the code becomes more and more perverted, people will begin waking up to alternative coins. The whole redlist idea is going to provide nitro fuel to the altcoin movement and propel many other coins into the mainsteam awareness.

What do you mean ? The Bitcoin code remains the same, just the price is changing.

Now more importantly: why the hell didn't you not decide to buy at $20 instead of wait until it bump another $300?

Because I didnt knew about Bitcoin when at $20 / BTC  Sad
54  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When Will Bitcoin Reach $1000?? on: November 08, 2013, 11:59:27 PM
Guess what happens, when loads of people will get USD to buy xmas presents for example. It crashes hardly. And you will get no cash, because it's just not there in that amount. The exchanges are not regulated by any manner. So as higher BTC goes, as higher is the risk, that it will collapse.

You can buy xmas presents with BTC directly. There are a lot of merchants accepting BTC to choose from  Wink

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 03, 2013, 01:44:19 PM

just hope we don't see a "toboggan run" down this steep slope when everyone xfers their BTC to USD in a panic to get ROI back.

Why would anyone want to convert a promising sound currency for an exponentially-printed-to-oblivion/give-inflation-to-bankers-enslave-everyone-else/no-control-over-your-money corrupt currency?

There are people who-need-to-pay-bills-in-USD-and-dont-holding-much-USD-anymore.

I agree, spend USD first, but when you dont have more, you need to use BTC  Smiley
