41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin GPU mining, what is important? mhz or ram? on: March 30, 2013, 10:14:07 PM
Hmm, I will continue to investigate the source of my system crashing. Its an AMD X4 1ghz with 2gb DDR3 RAM, a 5970 and 6950 installed. Running Xubuntu off a flash drive, right now I get 0kh/s as it crashes cgminer and or the whole system, but mines BTC just fine.

LTC may not like 2 diff kind of video card on the same rig. Try to mine with just one card and see if it work.

you should be able to mine LTC, slow CPU will just give you slower hash speed,

Shibaji, would you mind putting each users order on a single line? The formatting is understandable but kind of hard to quickly navigate.

Not very clear what you are asking. An user may have multiple order on separate line, if s/he has placed separate orders, and the list is sorted by order number. Why are people interested in which user has what order ?

My intention for this list is two fold:

(1) See how many orders there are and when things start shipping, may be track and see how the shipment is progressing
(2) May be Avalon will find it useful, or users will find it useful to quickly lookup there order from here whenever they need - which will increase visibility between Avalon and people who ordered them.

shiba   he mean to put each order from one line across to make it easier to read. Please change it

57  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cheaper 20Gh/s Avalon? on: March 26, 2013, 11:02:17 PM
it may not work, Avalon has a small controll board on the bottom  that 3 modules plug into. You will need that as well
58  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Batch #3 Not selling as fast.... on: March 26, 2013, 07:01:52 PM
Like many others I'm very tempted to order a batch 3, but it would use up almost all of my BTC... I expect BTC to rise a lot more in the months it will take for the machine to arrive... so is that a reason to order or not?  If it goes up a lot and I keep the BTC they will be worth a lot more, but if it goes up a lot and I've spent the BTC on the miner then the miner will be worth a lot more too!

I'm leaning away from the purchase because I've never done any mining before and I'm bit nervous about working out how to get it running...

if you never mine before then it may not wise to buy avalon since it is not user friendly and even Avalon put it in their disclaimer .
