I paid a 6$ fee for a transaction today with bitcoin and I still think is much better than paypal. Paypal is just another form of a bank, where you don't have control over your own money. with bitcoin it's yours.

I'm sorry about your money my friend. Hope you find a way to get it back, but I doubt it. Let this be a lesson for everyone else, when moving huge amounts like this, I think it's always safe to do it with several transactions. if I where to move 3 BTC I'd much rather have 5 or 10 transactions and pay those fees, than risking the whole thing at once. and if you must do it all at once, don't do it from a windows machine. Try a linux live CD and boot your pc with it, and then make the transaction. completely virus free and safe. and of course, always triple check your addresses

Why those who make much money have to pay more? It's not fair. I knew a man who was earning very much, but he was working 18 hours a day. The result of the constant stress he died at 46 years old. And there are people who do nothing at work, receive minimum wage and are dissatisfied with the fact that there are rich. Probably a percentage in taxes has to pay the same, and the amount will be different.
a lot of people also make a lot of money by exploiting someone else. plenty of corporations make a lot of money by exploiting people in third world countries, not paying taxes, etc. so it's not a black and white issues |

Always assume everyone here is a scammer until proven otherwise. never trade anything without escrow, regardless of the user's status. accounts here are bought/sold/hacked on a daily basis. be extremely protective and careful. if you aren't, you will get scammed

If you want to be safe, you need either a paper or hardware wallet.
for convenience, I've been using blockchain.info wallet for a while, but I never keep there more than I can afford to lose.
