41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you dumped your BCC yet? on: September 02, 2017, 02:02:46 AM
I just consider bitcoin cash as free money and will be always get dumped whenever it reach certain price, as it ever reach over $1000, I guess it has a chance to recover, back to $1K once more or even persist at that price someday. But, bitcoin has great devs team and many people support it which makes people will choose to use bitcoin as the major digital currency which can be used in various sectors and treat altcoins for trading purpose. But, bitcoin cash could hold $569 right now, not bad.

OMG!

1. You have no argument as to why BCC will always get dumped (a statement is not an argument),
2. Bitcoin certainly does not have great developers. They are  average at best, which is why the whole fucking tx fee crap started, as they failed to take care of a simple problem 2 years ago.
3. Many people support bitcoin? How many? It is not supported in the mainstream, and no financial institution of repute backs it.

Jesus.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you dumped your BCC yet? on: September 02, 2017, 01:56:27 AM
I kept my coins on bittrex before the fork and had them already credited there so easy to buy/sell them. I chose to dump all my coins because I don't see the long term viability of BCC.
Discarding Bitcoin Cash coins turned out to be a predictable correct decision, as its course, having risen slightly, continues to fall and fall. He had difficulties with the extraction of blocks and the few miners who supported this coin began to leave and toss it. Bitcoin Cash is not a viable altcoyin. It is necessary to get rid of it.

Maybe,  but you have made a series of statements without any attempt to apply reasoning and premises.

I would say that you are not a good source to take guidance from.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you dumped your BCC yet? on: September 02, 2017, 01:53:28 AM
I never touched it, LOL. I just didn't see the point. It seems like a complacency thing that was designed to do nothing more than make one of the two arguing groups about August 1st feel better. Without looking more closely I can honestly say I don't even think it is a fork of the original code. Basically it's a completely separate coin just like 20 other that were launched the same week. I have nothing against I just did say anything that made a protective excited to me.

It is a separate coin, of course, but it is forked from bitcoin, it is not a clone.

How else would people manage to simply use their private BTC wallet key to get BCC?

At whatever block, the fork was orchestrated, and everything in the past till that point, is the same in BCC and BTC.

44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with Masternode? on: August 28, 2017, 01:20:58 AM
I despair, really.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with Masternode? on: August 28, 2017, 01:18:49 AM
masternode coin is a somewhat new project with masternode airdrops https://docs.google.com/document/d/10r5cJLXmJDaB6_MmGPogN-VS4QmGBv-rLKycDDGBm_c/edit

Every master node project skyrockets I would check this one out for sure.

if every masternode project skyrockets, then why not make 1,000 projects, as they will skyrocket.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with Masternode? on: August 28, 2017, 01:14:46 AM
If a master Node can be undone, this is an excellent strategy to maintain a high value for your coin over time. Just to be clear what you are saying is that the majority of these coins cannot be mined and sold?

Masternodes are nothing more then servers that are running a Dash client 24 hrs a day and who can prove to the Dash network that they own 1000 Dash on a certain wallet address (MN public address)
As long as the masternodes can proof that and are constantly online, they are  considered a masternode to the network. The masternodes can be hosted through VPS providers or through owned Raspberry Pi's.
The 1000 Dash is considered collateral, is under people's own control and stored on a cold wallet (the hot wallet doesnt contain any coins, it just provides a link to the Masternode).

The owner is free to move his collateral of 1000 Dash at any time to sell it on exchanges or to move it to other addresses, but then the Dash network will consider that masternode as no longer active and will
not provide any more MN payments, it will eventually drop off the masternode list.

That is my understanding, so I wonder why people appear to think masternode means cutting edge technology which signifies success. It is a buzzword. Next we could have "smart masternodes." They are better. But the "quantum masternodes" are the best. They are able to probability chance. +1
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cartel manipulating mining difficulty? on: August 24, 2017, 06:07:01 PM
A strange idea has occurred to me today

As far as I understand it, if the mining difficulty is too low and there is plenty of hashrate all of a sudden, the mining of new blocks won't be limited to just 6 blocks per hour (on average), right? If so, given the emergence of the mining cartel (controlled by Jihan and Bitmain), they could specifically "invent" Bitcoin Cash to manipulate mining difficulty, and thus mine more blocks on both chains than just 2 times more (more than 2×6=12 blocks). If there is not enough hashrate, say, in Bitcoin Cash (as was the case), the mining difficulty will go down, so the cartel will switch their miners to mining this coin. Then there is not enough hashrate left for Bitcoin, the difficulty readjusts soon thereafter, and miners switch back mining more bitcoins on the original blockchain than before

Then rinse, repeat

For the above two outfits mentioned, they would have to keep a lot of people quiet to pull it off. Conspiracies happen, but I think in this case any conspiracy to control bcc or btc mining, and the output (btc and bcc) would be some of the bigger players in bitcoin (the market movers).

Regarding hashrate, dfficulty and blocks mined, it depends on how much is thrown at bcc. If it is extremely competitive, like btc has been, the lower difficulty would not help, as the competition for a block is fierce. So blocks would be 10 minutes or longer regardless of the difficulty, and the biggest would win in most cases.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you dumped your BCC yet? on: August 24, 2017, 01:30:29 AM
I did when it was at $800 each. I received 1.3 Bitcoincash so i exchanged them for $1100 aprox, that was the most easy money i made in my whole life.
But if you wanna hold it, do it, it can grow even more, a lot of speculators are expecting it to touch $1k at the end of this month, i dont really believe that, but that might happen if there is too much hype around this coin.

It's not just about hype. BCH is a miner's coin and a lot of miner are switching to BCH.
Look at this comparison of hashrate of BTC and BCH and it clears a lot.
https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/hashrate-btc-bch.html#3m

They switched because BCC difficulty halved, which means prior to that, nobody was really mining it. Remember 5 hours to get a confirmation?

Now they have switched, the difficulty will go up, and people will switch back to BTC.

It is not a miners coin any more than BTC, it is all about profit potential.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you dumped your BCC yet? on: August 24, 2017, 01:24:04 AM
Have you dumped your BCC yet? If yes, explain the following:

1) What method did you use to dump it? Did you get the split from a Bitcoin Core wallet or other method to store your private keys?
2) If you selected an exchange, in what exchange did you send your coins to receive the split?
3) Have you sold yet? If so, in what exchange and how much have you sold?

No I'm mot dumping it yet, still hoping for a profit in it. I COLLECT several coins in my wallets and that includes the bcc or the bitcoin cash. It came from bitcoins so maybe it has a value that will somehow rise that I can gain just a little profit on it. Just wait for a couple of months and when it do not have any improvement I will dump it for good. But for now I'm going to hold it in my wallet and wait for an exchanger.

Waiting for profit? The tone of your post makes it sound like you qualified for free bcc, so selling at any price is profit.

Returning to the question, I dumped the coins I received on two exchanges at 0.18 and 0.13. I was lucky with the 0.18.

When I worked out how to claim bcc for my own wallet, I dumped at various prices, from 0.10 to 0.15 (or something like that).
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to notice occuring forks in an altcoin? on: August 24, 2017, 01:14:28 AM
Altcoins fork sometimes due to various reasons.

I was wondering if there's a reliable method to detect how many chains for a coin are actively mined at a given moment in time? Anyone know of a good method of detecting this?

it becomes apparent when people on one chain can suddenly not get transactions confirmed into the dominant chain.

To be honest, there is not so much forking these days, unless you do it to spawn bcc.
51  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Where can i report a crypto crime? on: August 24, 2017, 12:58:22 AM
google the name of your country, and "cybercrime", then follow the trail.

If you are in the EU, you should find information at the Commission level.
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: August 24, 2017, 12:48:36 AM
The big 4k, yet just a short time ago it was the big 130, just before that the big 30.

It has a long way to fall, and a lot of money to be picked up during that.

People forget, Mt Gox started this with its mini-bot pump from 100 or so to 1300 or so.

Then the shit hit the fan, Karpeles closes shop, gets found out, and the price of bitcoin eventually settles at what ordinarily, without his bot pump, would be a high of about 400 dollars.

There it stagnates for what seemed liked ages.

Then from about March (give or take) it hits four figures, and continues.

But forever and ever, btc will rise.

53  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: August 24, 2017, 12:30:32 AM
Even the blind can see that crypto Currency is making people millionaires all  over the world just because they present the holders of such currency with the financial freedom and opportunity to accrue large amounts of wealth base on currency investment . But my question is that, is it late to buy bitcoin? Should i wait maybe bitcoin price will decline after 1st August meeting? Please i will welcome your advice so that I can make my decision on crypto currency investment.

There is no way of forecasting the future with certainty, or even by making historical comparisons.

We are quite possibly in a bubble, like the dot-com one.

There are also no independent, long-standing and well regarded or respected institutions backing bitcoin or alts in general (maybe ripple xrp).

It means no bail-outs, little chance of recovering stolen funds (possibly made in a pump), and regulators that regulate nothing very much, but loom over bitcoin especially threatening to tax you.

Bitcoin especially, but numerous altcoins are controlled by people that are unknown to us, and if these are in agreement, they can control the market completely.

But maybe it will continue forever more.

Why on hell would I be wasting my electricity on this project? No roadmap, nothing innovative, no goal?

A crypto road map is not innovative, it is a pile of bullshit.

Plus, roadmaps were the thing 10 years ago.. time to move on.

Guide to solo mine?

Do I need to setup a .conf file in order to solo mine. Currently getting an error refusing to allow connection on 8155 port.. Is that a local problem?

Yep,  you  need .conf.

Use-
server=1
demon=1

in it.

username and password

-u PapaverSomniferumrpc
-p Anythingrallyjustlong

Typical example of your mining set-up (I will assume you use minerd  for the example)

./minerd -a X11 -o http://127.0.0.1:8155 -u PapaverSomniferumrpc -p Vju8aFFcxdryUplkmnTTreadmnY09c

Your conf would be something like this

rpcuser=PapaverSomniferumrpc
rpcpassword=Vju8aFFcxdryUplkmnTTreadmnY09c
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=8155
daemon=1
server=1

You would also need an open wallet running (or better,a linux deamon).

But yes,you need a conf, mining solo is not mining at a pool

Edit

BTW, I mined solo at 100 GHZ, no problem.

If you have to ask if you need a .conf file for solo, I fear you will have a hard time.

You also need the right mining software
57  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Making a living off of bitcoin faucets, is it actually possible? on: July 19, 2017, 12:10:04 AM
Yes, you could make money, perhaps even 20 or even 30 cents a day, which will help cover the electricity costs.

if you pay for yobit that  is cool seeing as the price of bitcoin is so high but yobit has not reduced his charges, I tried mining but the hashrate was too high for my cpu.  Cry

veins will be very hurt, then angry, I suppose I can do the business for him, and collect  the bounties (except for that designer-qt).  Good old grey it will be. Pool owner of relative substance, we still want you. I can do a unomp but nobody will have heard of it, so we are looking for an established face and operation with walk-in traffic.
