Most people are lazy (including me), and have 100 other coins to divide their attention to. Then they'll naturally pick the ones that they think they are most likely to profit from. Unfortunately, EAC is not one of those coins at the moment. I would never encourage my family or friends to invest anything into something that I'm almost sure will just halve its value each week that passes. I have the stomach to make the gamble and am fine with it but couldn't live with myself if I introduced EAC to someone and later found out (s)he had invested and lost money because of it. But what if, EAC for some unimaginable reason started to gain value, slow and steady rise to around 200-300 satoshi - would people be more likely to start to spread the word and encourage others to join as well? Or, brag that they "doubled their money in a week" and get the inevitable questions of how can I do it as well? yeah but most people like you expect bare magic to make some money. People lost their moral, they are so corrupted that they use even good things to get the money of others. You do know, that this system is a snowballsystem as long as people do daytrading? GJ Snowballers! Agree 100%Earthcoin could go up to 100-200 satoshis, but not by lazy people looking for the fast money. And to be honest I hope that you greedy guys lose all of your money. Just because this innovation is way more valuable as daytrading makes it look like. This is a ideological thing. I don't wanna start this discussion because we would never find a solution. But that was the reason I left this community, because 99% (not only at earthcoin) use it for their own benefits. *clapping* |

I am an early miner of earthcoin and have been mining it on and off. I followed some recent posts of the thread, and found it really strange that so many people are picking on the original dev and the premine. What is the problem here? John created the coin so it is there today and we all be happy with it. And he took less than 1/4 of the premine, isn't that normal? Isn't that reasonable for his hard work and maintenance of the code to this point (i think there are a few releases since the launch)? also, premine is a small portion as compare to the total coins generated. Why not you mine coins for yourself and calculate if YOU will be profitable from this coin? I mined EAC because it is profitable for me as compare if I mine BTC directly, I mined other coins like MINT/DOGE/LY7 based on the same rules. I don't really care how much devs took, as long as it's reasonable and they can lead the community to a good future. Look at DOGE/CAT/AUR/MINT/VERT etc, I am sure devs profit a lot (premine/instamine), but does it matter?
What I don't like is the negative energies here. Even the posts from "earthcoin" have a negative tone toward John. What's wrong with him to take his part of the premine, given all his contributions to the coin? Grow up guys, earthcoin is way under value now, and the dev team is to lead the community towards a bright future, not spread negative energies. Does it matter whether John dump or not his shares? It's his personal decisions. I've been buying EAC at this price level. Earthcoin already have a lot more infras created than most other coins, and its market cap ranking should be at least at 20s, instead of 80s or 90s. And please no more negative energies.
Comment as a true statesman. I have requested the same of the undertones of the speak. I can not stop some fellas from their incessant attacks, you can change an idea but not a belief they say. And there are some, through their fantasy and entertainment, find it valuable for the community to have the choice to join their fantasy and entertainment. Unfortunately some of them can speak in full sentences and it has an ability to captivate an audience through the merit of the speak but when looking from above in a realistic manner, you hit the nail on the head with respect to what is going on here. It is ALL positive from my perspective. 20 people working behind the scenes feverishly with ALL kinds of directions and content and not just brainstormig - actual calls to action in a bunch of directions. This level of coordinated drive could have never occurred at the beginning. It required more than three people and the learning curve was steep and unforgiving haha. I have to say I am re-inspired. The attacks can be draining and it did cause considerable decrease in morale and effort put forth. That the coin has survived all this attack and has grown in its leadership 10x is a testament to its appeal. It will definitely have a future and I personally see it climbing the ranks again. I do think a resting state for EAC as determined by USD value creation is around 200 satoshi. That is obviously my personal opinion... To whomever it concerns ?The Crypto Currency named " Earthcoin" on the face of it appears, to have be launched under misrepresentation, and I use that term lightly. Any party or individual embarks upon any purchase of the aforementioned coin, does so with Caveat Emptor in mind, as they would do with any other coin. Articulation is not a crime, however fraud is. No Reserve - I started them all at 1000 EAC - I am willing to roll the dice, and if someone gets a great deal then that's what the market priced my items at.
My vision is that Earthcoin will become relevant through real world commerce & trade. By offering these services and often selling silver at a discount to it's intrinsic value, the Earthpeople will eventually learn the value of this and then EAC price will reflect such as they rush to accumulate EAC and 'arbitrage' my silver sales. So I am taking a hit now on the pricing, but in the future I believe I will look brilliant by offering this service and accumulating EAC continuously for the foreseeable future. I admit it is a bit painful in the short-term, but unlike the 'DEVS', I HAVE TRUE LONG-TERM VISION. I am also willing to sacrifice and work to see this coin succeed, not just look to make a 'quick buck' off of unsuspecting innocents.
It will be I who will have the last laugh, when I am the largest holder of Earthcoin and help guide it back to new highs through REAL WORLD Capitalism & Free-Market Commerce. I will eventually get Gold, Gemstones, Loose Diamonds, Rarities, Collectibles, Etc. up on Earthazaar. I have even sold an iPhone 4S already LOL.
This is for real guys, and EARTHCOIN is here to stay. I am determined to make it so, and I implore the community to join me in these efforts. I will spearhead the rise to Glory that we will behold, and trust me, that day is coming. There are still some very dedicated & intelligent forces working behind the scenes that will 'Add Value' to this crypto. If you take a look at some of the other coins that are currently outpacing earthcoin, and what they have to offer in comparison to what we have to offer, you can clearly see the VALUE at the current prices. What we are dealing with is a crisis of confidence, and these prices we are currently at reflect nothing but panic. It is TIME TO BUY when there is BLOOD IN THE STREETS.
What can you do to help? 1) List SOMETHING on Earthazaar.com. Doesn't really matter what. Find something laying around that you find novel/useful to others. Take a picture with your phone/camera - email it to yourself. List it on Earthazaar as an auction or fixed price listing. If Everyone that currently owned Earthcoin did this, we would be by FAR the largest online store of an Alt. Cryptocurrency. And the News would spread like wildfire. This will become a self-fulfilling prophecy, and other will flock to our Banner in hordes. Ask not what your Earthcoin can do for you, but what you can do for your Earthcoin! Don't forget that a relatively small amount of Capital can get EAC moving upwards in a fantastic way. Only $15,000 on Cryptsy puts us at 50 Satoshi!!!
I believe that there are many others like myself who have the COURAGE to stand up and take hold of their dreams, and to make their dreams a reality. Working together we can DO ANYTHING. And when we reach critical mass, these dark days upon us now will be laughed upon with the clarity that is hindsight.
Now is the time to have free market capitalists, libertarians and Men with true vision and ambition take over and create wealth for hundreds of Earthcoin followers that will make 'certain people' have nightmares about 'what might have been'.

This is John, the original dev of Earthcoin. Since there are too many wrong rumors about me. I feel that I need to post something to let you know the facts.
I created Earthcoin back in December. To better handle the communications with community, I found Norb. With whom we launched the coin together. Norb is good at graphics, and his professional graphics certainly helped Earthcoin. He later found Wes and Zark to help him on the communications side, while I was handling all the code/tech issues and new releases. We had a good partnership but unfortunately the communications between us was always an issue. We had a very different view on what is the "teamwork". Anyway I am not going to details, but at some points this was beyond the limit, and sadly I decided to quit the team.
Now on the premine. There was a 270 mil EACs premine. Of which 70 mils are spent at various giveaways and bounties (see OP for a list of giveaways, which do not include all the giveaways, many are not in the list). I handled main giveaway thread where giveaways were distributed to close to 1000 users, small giveaways are done by community members where we handed off lump sums. The remaining 200M Norb and I each took 100M. I'll leave Norb to disclose whereabouts of his 100M. For me, I contributed 26 mils to the bounty fund we created in the team (to encourage helps for EAC), including the 10 mils granted to Wes. I also spent various amount to charities, support games/faucets etc. This left about 65 mil for myself. I am not going to disclose my wallet address, or say what I will do with the coins. All I can say is that I still hold most of them. The recent down turn is clearly a confidence issue, the amount being dumped is much more than 65 mils (remember the outstanding coins are about 1.8 billions now).
With the new team in place, I wish the Earthcoin will go back to the right track, and I wish Earthcoin the best.

Whomever you are.. thank you for posting, I post as " 0rganic" on this forum and on earthcointalk.org, I do not believe I have communicated with you directly or I am not aware of that fact. Your post... although very welcome, is also an opportunity to finally lance this boil, and carbuncle, that has plagued and disfigured this community, resulting in rumor, speculation, contempt, mistrust, anger, confusion, accusations, allegations, notwithstanding the dire market price of the coin. Firstly...., I thank you for the creation and the concept of Earthcoin I really do, and I am sorry that the alleged working relationship between you and Norb disintegrated and fell apart. Secondly, ...I am certain that no reasonable minded party would think that you should't be compensated for your work and creativity, as far as I have been able to piece this broken jigsaw together all the components of a Perfect Storm have played their part, including " InCryptEx", which on the face of it appears to be Earthcoins MtGox according to the information I hold. Seventhly however...from my research from Earthcoin.info, it does not appear that the 270 million EAC appears to be divided as you state above, what has been discovered is that 270 million EAC was divided into 220 million EAC and 50 million EAC respectivily. I was expecting to see 270 million EAC divided by 2 transfers of 135 000,000 million EAC each. For your information and records your ex partner Norb has disclosed a wallet containing 1,000, 000 and 99,000,000 a total of 100,000,000 EAC. The Fund Manger "wesandEAC" has disclosed a wallet containing +18,000,000 million EAC and subsequently disclosed another 20,000,000 that he forgot he had received from Norb, however at the moment this has not been confirmed,... this additional 20,000,000 EAC, and at present is only hearsay, upon conformation bY a disclosed wallet the total held by him would amount to 38,000,000 million EAC. In this regard I am awaiting further news and updates from Kevin AKA **biomech** who is the new communications officer and now posts as "earthcoin**. Eightly From the above it would appear that Norbs Disclosed 100,000,000 EAC, Wes unconfirmed 38,000,000 would amount to 138,000,000 EAC, from your unconfirmed disclosure that you hold 65,000,000 this would make a grand total of 203,000,000 EAC, of that 85,000,000 not confirmed. Notwithstanding 67,000,000 million EAC that have allegedly been paid out in bounties giveaways, in respect of the paid bounties, this figure does not stack up at all. Ninethly, I note your reluctance in disclosing the balance of your wallet, and I do not know the history of your relationship with Norb or Wes, so cannot comment on the reasons that you have in respect of those two individuals. However, if you have left the original team of earthcoin and the community, why have you taken the premine with you? Tenthly, if you care about this coin, and the many disenfranchised people that could benefit in the future, also the market price, including its community and the general perception of crypto currency, PLEASE reconsider your position in respect of Norb and Wes, wave a white flag at least temporarily to reassess your figures. Firstly, I would like clarification to that question as well, including for the legal and lawful record, for the avoidance of doubt, notwithstanding the following, which individual will be posting in the future on bitcointalk.org and earthcointalk.org as earthcoin, ( 1 ) Norb, ?( 2 ) wesandEAC, ?( 3 ) biomech ?Or will this " earthcoin" account be utilised on an ad hoc basis by the three aforementioned individuals anonymously, for plausible deniability ? For the most part I penned the post, with some editing by Cryptozark to correct some errors and flesh out the bios of the current team. Going forward, I will be the primary writer for the team. It is a collaborative effort, with most of the actual writing being done by me and Cryptozark, so you can probably assume if it's a prepared statement like the above that I wrote a draft and we edited it together. I will also be responding to the community as earthcoin for the most part. I doubt that we'll make the distinction of who wrote a particular post unless it matters for a particular case, in which we'll say so. If it matters to you, ask. My position on the team at this point is basically liason between the team and the community. Hopefully I'll be able to answer your questions and address your concerns while the rest of the team hammers this beast back to life. Right now we are talking daily in a sort of ad-hoc manner. We're in the process of getting everyone's areas of responsibility firmly sorted, and getting things moving. I will be the primary editor and writer of the newsletter. We haven't yet decided on what day it will launch, But once launched it will be a weekly affair. I will also be here in this thread reading at the very least, pretty much every day, barring "real life" preventing it. Doge was coordinately pumped several types by Wolongs inner circle jerk group of pumpers and dumpers, they abandoned Doge a few weeks ago when Pandacoin was launched, now some of the Doge community and Wolong went to war over pandacoin being a scam, created several Panda clones i assume to confuse people. Wolong's group probably wont invest in Doge anymore, infact they pretty much want to kill the coin as far as I can tell. Doge is in for a rough time, under 10 satoshi in a few weeks probably lol. Can we get back on topic and forget about the premine please.
After all the giveaways and bounties there is still a lot more left that i tough before. The part that is missing is less then one week mining.
Come on, one week, ok it is probably dumped but so what, am sure MP and the likes dumped a lot more.
Let talk infrastructure to support retailers and maybe a little charity support, seems to me that at the moment that's the only thing we can build in a couple of days with the current infrastructure.

At least I got the dev's that we know of to disclose a little info in respect of the premine and associated issues. well I believe someone has posted a copy of the transcript in respect of that question and answer session. I do not know the whole story in respect of this coin but I intend to find out, I am just your regular guy and, to may round pegs in square holes at the moment, I believe this coin has a future but and its a big but? It appears this coin has lost a lot of good people, in respect of shall we say lack of transparency, and I am an honest trusting guy, and there are a few good people over there who are trying to put things straight I know your views and I have read your posts , but I will at some point update this forum with what I know and have discovered, All the best Organic |

Typical all this happens when I'm away. Who is it that runs the earthcoin talk forum? I signed up to it ages ago and I couldnt log in because of it said i needed to activate my account but i didnt recieve any activation email so i just left it. Now i just tried a password reset and recieved the email for that, reset my password and again tried to log in, and again it says i need to activate.. so how do i get a new activation email sent to me?

Its well funny watching this thread now... weeks and weeks ago we were going on about the premine asking where it was and how much was left. I was attacked by the then EAC defense force for even asking, people saying stuff like "shut the fuck up about the premine" and "it doesn't matter", now everyone's at it lmao. Where is that syLA or whatever his name when you need him lol. Wes always comes on and says nothing reassuring too "Unfortunately the tasks get muddied from people wasting time and effort chatting about a premine that is now statistically insignificant." - does this mean most of it is gone or what?
You can relax more if you just write off the investment, at least for now, and put it down to experience. I can tell you i probably lost more than most about 5 btc. Well its just lucky i made about 30btc of AUR. You win some you loose some, after all, this is basically gambling is it not?... Its a lesson learnt for everyone. Just dont invest in premine coins, especially ones without a public ledger. And yeah AUR is a 50% premine coin, given to all the citizens of Iceland, but it still has a public ledger. I'm gutted i sold all my AUR too, i would have made 50btc selling at the top @ 0.16.
Anyway it would just be nice to have clarity on this coin, so people can move forward and maybe rebuild earthcoin to something new, there are people doing alot of good work on it. And although this would be all but impossible, imagine if we could fork EAC and turn that 13.5billion coins into something like a 60% premine and somehow distribute the coins, 1 each to every person on the planet, that would boost its value massively. You'll soon be seeing alot of coins like AUR that have large premines but distribute them to the citizens certain country's, seems to be the new model that works.
I hope this coin becomes something big one day, a the minute things are looking extremely grim.
Lol, I took a moment to step back and watch how it all plays out. I received both nasty PMs and encouraging ones. After being told to shut the fuck up about the premine, I washed my hands off EAC. Glad to see the devs still doing the same shit. earthcoin just came that one day when I challenged him and EAC and has slunk back into the shadows. The coin is still free falling. The premine has not been used for 1/10th of what it was meant for. I don't blame them though. I know how one could grow attached to the "mission" behind a coin and not a coin itself. Unfortunately, EAC suffered from dumping miners and a hefty premine coupled with absentee devs. It happens. Time to move on. When you will announce the IPO for the new exchange, make it so that the shares has to be bought using EAC. Not BTC, but EAC. At least think about it.

I've made progress on the Android wallet.
Checkpoints have been implemented and initial syncing is quick(can't remember if I mentioned this already). Transaction comments can now be sent from the Send Coins screen so the feature is now fully implemented!
Working on displaying transaction comments in the main wallet screen now. Should have that working tomorrow along with the reskinning.

www.moolah.ch seems to be accepting VTC aswell for payments, besides btc, ltc and doge. This is big step for VTC. As far as I can see, it might be interesting for EAC to get in contact with moolah as well. What do you guys think? Where did you hear about that? |

I concur that EAC is not showing at Cryptsy, consequence of this issue appears on Coinmarketcap, it appears from the listing, that only $700 have been traded in total in the last 24 hours, unprofessional set up. Nearly dropped my coffee this morning.  |
