Hello,
we are considering a signature campaign paid in alt coin (RLC) concerning the social campaign, at the moment I'm not convinced.
For example with the traduction of the post, we had really excellent people doing an amazing work. Not only translating but also really getting involved in the project. Some joined the slack and proposed new and great ideas. And that's really cool working with them !
but we also had some people simply doing a google translation, without even able to answer in the language they translated in. Also I don't think that the token should be distributed at large. It should really correspond to a real work.
So, we are still working on it ;-) and join the slack if you want to be involved.

iEx.ec representative attended the London Blockchain Week last 23/24 January. The conference gathered many experts, enthusiasts or simply new comers eager to learn and exchange about blockchain technologies and applications. As for iEx.ec, it was a unique opportunities do promote and discuss our proposition of a Blockchain-based distributed Cloud platform. Once again, we received a warm welcome from blockchain developers who are definitely looking for solutions giving more processing power to their blockchain applications. We also met investors and we can feel a growing interest in blockchain project that have the potential to disrupt the Cloud. Finally, it was also a unique opportunity to meet key figures of the crypto community, such as Bobby Lee (BTCC), and in particular we had a wonderful panel around ICO which was gathering Christoph Hering (Bitshares), Jeremy Milar (Consensys) , , and Sasha Ivanov (Waves)

This post explains our partnership with the Stimergy startup. Stimergy provides distributed datacenter. They design servers that are furnaces. The heat generated by the processor is used to heat water, and this water is distributed in the building to warm the appartments. Stimergy is an excellent example of what the distributed cloud may look like. But of course iEx.ec allows to integrate any kind of computing resources, from home servers to supercomputers. https://medium.com/iex-ec/iex-ec-stimergy-deliver-the-hottest-smart-contract-literaly-c8931af9c772#.u8nh3g1ip

I saw one member of the team 2 days ago. So at least one member of the whole team is real if you want to know.
And it wasn't me. Still three posts answering this Newbie issue, and I'll become Junior, which I guess will close this crucial issue about iEx.ec :-D

|
So a Newbie registers on the forum and instead of growing his reputation, The first thing he does is to set up an ICO and demand 3K BTC? That is correct. Would you evaluate a project solely based on author's reputation in this forum ? ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

Other question. Who is going to attend the Blockchain Week in London ?
Would be nice to meet-up.
Best

@magicmexican Be patient, but be sure that we will have a very clear position on that matter. This is for sure.

I'm a newbie. But I'm also improving ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) This only shows iEx.ec is able to get more and more people into the Distributed Cloud ! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

IEX Postponed for the Chinese Lunar New Year, visible or for Chinese investors. Why YUNBI did you withdraw it?
Hey, have you joined the wechat group ?

There will be similar ICO soon (maybe in the same timeframe as ICO for iex.ec). We are going to present similar project for ICO soon. The project is called SONM and is using our GRIB technology (GRId and Blockchain, which includes BOINC middleware in contrast to XtremWeb-HEP middleware, used by iex.ec team). We are working on white paper finalization and web site preparation.
Great to hear such news! Keep us informed.

Just to elaborate a little more. We are truly present in China. iEx.ec China is at the moment being accelerated in the Tsinghua University accelerator. And it's something huge. The equivalent in the US would be like the MIT. It's important because China is becoming a major player in Cloud and HPC. Did you know that China is now the #1 nation in Supercomputing ? From April to September 2016, Haiwu and me gave like a dozen talks in Blockchain conferences (Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, ...) at Universities (Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing, ShanghaiTech Univ., ... ), industry forum (Shenzhen), and of course the Ethereum Developers conference DEVCON2 that was held in Shanghai last September. iEx.ec received a very warm welcome from the China blockchain main actors. Don't hesitate to browse the news section that report about our past activities: http://iex.ec/?page_id=21Of course, not everything's there. But you'll see that it's something important for iEx.ec business perspective.

iEx.ec addresses the needs of all the blockchain-based distributed cloud ecosystem participants: - Dapps providers so that they can perform off-chain computations on demand.
- Application providers can radically lower the computing costs of their distributed applications
by using safe, robust and reliable iEx.ec infrastructure. - Data providers can expand their potential market size by integrating their services with iEx.ec
Cloud. - Server providers can monetize underused computing resources and increase the return on
investment on their existing infrastructure by seeking higher profits in providing their servers to the iEx.ec distributed Cloud.

You will attend London expo in January 2017? Great, your project looks legit, and what is escrow info? Additionally, could you elaborate the info of team members, 3000 BTC threshold is very big, very ambitious, but without identities disclosure, you can't raise so much money, just my 2 cents. If the fund is less than 3000BTC you will refund right? The iExec team is displayed in all its glory on this page : http://iex.ec/?page_id=69My academic home page was there : http://graal.ens-lyon.fr/~gfedak/, but I'm almost on leave now. I wish I could be anonymous, unfortunately Google doesn't forget anything. If you use it, you will find plenty of things I may not even be aware of. Yes I think I'll attend London expo. Would be nice to meet for people interested in discussing the project. Don't hesitate to reach me by email. Same if you attend the Paris EDCON conference.

Cut the crap. This is bullshit and you know it.
Some years ago, a couple of days before my thesis defense, I was subjected to the Impostor Syndrome. That was a somewhat stressful period, I must say. It's really weird, I had nightmares where it was discovered that I was not the author of my work ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) But I reassure you since this period I am better and this thanks to my achievements. I know perfectly well what is possible to do or not. No bullshit here. scam_exposer: I guess that Big Names do not refer to the amount of BTC we have, but more to the fact that my team and me have been recognized contributors in the field of parallel and distributed computing -- and in particular when it's about computing on Internet -- for the last 15 years. But, I mean, this our grand vision that we are developing with passion for several years. And the iEx.ec project is just the next logical step.

and will users and/or investors be able to run nodes? or will they be private secured nodes or? sorry if i didn't quite get that ;p
The goal is to have an open network where everyone can monetize their servers. However we'll proceed gradually. As you can understand, there are quite some challenges to address before being able to allow any applications to run on any node. For the first version, we'll only allow specific Cloud providers to execute the applications. We already have some partnership going on (like Stimergy), and we also have miners who would like to experimentally join the network. Later, as the development goes on, we'll include more and more providers, until the point where every one will be able to provide its own resources.

oooo HERE'S one to watch! finally omg lol. so many shit projects, finally something with some meat on it ;p from the whitepaper my question lies in 7.2: ok, so it will use PoC like gridcoin, i can dig that, but mentions PoS? and will users and/or investors be able to run nodes? or will they be private secured nodes or? sorry if i didn't quite get that ;p and roadmap part "v4" : Ok so a system for a distributed GPU market, for perspective something say like what nicehash offers but for more than JUST mining with the GPUs? (rendering, etc.) all in all i await watching this evolve, i have joined the Slack! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Good Luck! Hi @CjMapope Thanks for registering in the slack ! you're right with the comparison with Gridcoin. I really like Gridcoin. It's a very inspiring project. It's too bad this project is mainly known in the crypto world. It would deserve to have a much broader audience in Grid, Cloud, HPC communities. Nevertheless, there are differences. Gridcoin monitors the activity that happened on a Boinc server. It's called Proof-of-Research, if IIRC. So, somehow the consensus for an off-chain computation is realized when the task executed by a volunteer has been validated by Boinc. With PoCo (Proof-of-Contribution), we want go one step further, and generalize this to a broader range of applications. Not only the one provided by BOINC servers. The goal is to allow blockchain developers to put their own applications to the iEx.ec distributed cloud. Think it as a sort of oraclize meets Golem somehow. PS: Next answer in 6 minutes ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Yes. Compared to GOLEM, the project "Global Supercomputer". This project is ambitious as well. But the idea of "Distributed cloud" is quite interesting. It seems like "SIA", but iEx.ec could use distributed CPU resource in Internet. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Cool. I would like to participate. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Don't forget to visit the web site crowdsale.iex.ec and sign up to receive news. Later, just before the ICO starts, you will receive all the details: - Final token distribution, supply, min/max market cap
- Terms and conditions, including legal terms
- Technical details
- How to participate -- instructions
