41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 23, 2023, 01:46:56 PM
WBC already announced that Jake Paul is going to get a ranking if he beats Tommy Fury, now there's one guy who is not sold on the idea and openly opposed it and that guy is Dereck Chisora.

Quote
'Everyone should just drop the WBC and say, "I'm not fighting for it anymore". That's not fair. There's other boxers who have been slaving themselves, making weight, fighting and because he's boxed two fighters they give him a WBC ranking? No, it's unfair.

Dereck Chisora slams the WBC for promising to rank Jake Paul if he beats Tommy Fury

What do you think ranked WBC fighters take Chisora's advice, do you think WBC did the right thing in promising Jake Paul a rank in case he beat one professional boxer in Tommy Fury?
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🐞 Why Dogecoin still Not hit $1, and how? 🕸 on: February 22, 2023, 11:00:00 PM
The only reason why Doge gets huge attention is that Elon Musk and those who are into pump and dump just used Dogecoin to make a lot of profit, if Elon stops mentioning Doge coin anymore it will go back to its old price and will struggle in the market again.
There are a lot of great projects with innovation I don't mean to downplay Dogecoin's role in the Crypto industry but it's useless to talk about the price and how it will reach it if we are going to engage in just creating hype around it.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Do Gamblers Do This? on: February 22, 2023, 03:51:54 PM
This is a case of fun turning to misery, gamblers want to achieve two things, and these are having fun and making money, but there are no limits to wanting to make money, that is why so many gamblers end up in misery and losing their money and become frustrated.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Becoming a Bounty Manager on: February 21, 2023, 10:54:13 PM
hello
I have some questions about being a Bounty Manager Where can I find Project Winners?
How to contact them If anyone knows, please provide the link

Communication is very important if you aspire to be a bounty manager you need to have a good choice of words that people can understand, honestly, I don't know what you mean by project winners is it bounty managers or managers that you can apply as bounty manager, before aspiring to be a bounty manager learn how bounty managers works and thinks and one of this is knowledge on where to find the best project and how to properly offer your service.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to run a bounty campaign? on: February 20, 2023, 01:24:51 PM
how to become a bounty manager i want to run bounty campaign so how can i run campaign please tell me

After you read all the recommendations, you need to take your time and do not be in a hurry to launch your career as a bounty hunter here, participate in a bounty campaign first to know what participants are doing in campaigns and how managers handle their campaign, you will eventually learn from your bounty managers, like what a spreadsheet looks like, how bounty managers qualify people and how they pick participants based on the criteria these managers have set up, it takes time to learn this and you cannot learn this in a matter of weeks.
46  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining on cryptocurrency. on: February 19, 2023, 10:43:36 PM
Are you talking about mining with the cloud?

Because that’s where you would only get the withdrawal thing because if you do actually mining with the GPU, You would have the rewards are in your wallet.

Yes, it is a cloud mining site because he mentioned withdrawing his earnings that's not the case if he is mining with his own hardware, and worse the cloud mining site is asking for a deposit before he can withdraw, OP did not mention if he got a free hash cloud mining site offer free hash to start, or he already invested in one of the plans.
I suggest to OP to not deposit and forget about this cloud mining you should have mentioned the name of the cloud mining to warn others, anyway majority of cloud mining are scam.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Core vs Ethereum on: February 19, 2023, 01:54:59 PM
Before the recent lunch of core it was speculated that its value would be half of that of Bitcoin which is potentially greater than Ethereum although cores value after lunch was very low compared to their speculation some mining sources say that its value will be greater than that of Ethereum of Which is not promising with the present market cap

I strongly believe that core was not much of a success because their mining duration was too long therefore causing excess supply of the coin during the mining period.

I always see this project in my social media group it's being hyped by their early investors as a coin that is much better than Ethereum or Bitcoin but I have seen hundreds of coins that are being hyped that are better than Bitcoin or Ethereum but where are these coins right now, gone and now part of dead coins, their developers and will try to hype this coin but two or three years from now we'll never read this kind of project anymore a project to be considered good should not be hype to replace the top two coins in the market.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 18, 2023, 09:52:37 PM
So far the result of the poll, there are many Magsayo believers here the poll is not even close Magsayo has a wide edge against Figueroa, lets's see what the odds will be in sports casinos if Magsayo will be a clear favorite but based on both fighters' records and style of fighting it's going to be a very close fight as both fighters badly need this win to keep their title campaign alive.

Magsayo by Decision   - 14 (60.9%)
Figueroa by Decision   - 3 (13%)
Magsayo by KO/TKO   - 5 (21.7%)
Figueroa by KO/TKO   - 1 (4.3%)
Draw   - 0 (0%)

49  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Logo imperfection on: February 18, 2023, 11:26:31 AM
The author of the article made by Arijit Sarkar has been viewed by 40,989 and 27 times forwarded, he said there were two imperfect line angles on the Bitcoin logo image said to be made by bitboy.

I consider that the article published more than a few days ago on cointelegraph is a form of concern for Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is so great that it has captured the attention of many people so that even the slightest flaws in a logo like the one published on cointelegraph are widely discussed.

Additionally Bitcoin logo can be changed by anyone since no one controlling it. The majority opinion is what makes that current logo official but now we can use any logo that we like because the creator is not active anymore to lead on the official changes like this.

In reality Bitcoin has many logo as long as the BTC sign is noticeable.

If ever there will be a proposed new logo there should be consensus on the use of a new logo, and the majority should vote for a new logo for Bitcoin, but I don't see this happening now since Bitcoin adoption is encountering a lot of hindrances and issues, maybe in the future there will be a proposed new logo that is more futuristic and will reflect the status of Bitcoin at that time.
50  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Identification of scammers? on: February 17, 2023, 12:59:27 PM
Am a beginner and I was telling a friend about this forum and it's beneficiaries, but it all turns that he said it all a scam
Obviously, its a misconception and you're friend did not even bother to look around to see if his opinion is right, you should have asked your friend why he has the misconception of the forum, you may invite him to look at the best section of this forum which is the Bitcoin section so he can judge if this forum is a scam

Quote
so I want to know how to identify scammers and if there is any how can we know them as a beginner.
If he asks for your private keys or wallet passphrase that is a clear sign of a scammer, there are many signs of scammers if you want to see how scammers work and how they implement their schemes better check the scam accusations.
51  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Owl.games confiscated 0.1 BTC for rediculous reason on: February 17, 2023, 04:51:25 AM
It seems that there official account here is active once again,  owlgames.

If they are not going to answer then probably the second best option is to make some noise on their official twitter account to get their attention,

https://twitter.com/OWLDAOio

Best of luck, hopefully you can get back that 0.1 BTC that you have won.

Or you can reach out to: https://www.askgamblers.com/submit-complaint

That's the right decision to call them out on a platform where they are more active, the admin of the Twitter handle just posted an hour ago you can tag the handle or comment on one of his recent tweets, if he blocks you or ignore you that means they have no intention to address any complaint, there will be more complaints coming and this is the kind of treatment that complainants will receive so its time for players to think if this is the right gambling platform to play.

53  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be calm and let things flow. on: February 17, 2023, 12:55:24 AM

As with the case of this forum, newbies should try to be calm as with the merit and post section rush that is more of a trend these days. Be calm and take your time to understand the way things get done here, mostly as regards comment style, presentation of work, organization of reference and links,  terms and languages being used. You will see how things just flow with ease.

it's important for newbies to brand themselves right away after they read all the rules and fully memorize them, what I mean by branding themselves is to post on topics and categories where they are comfortable posting and have knowledge on the subjects and try to increase their knowledge daily so they can participate in a healthy discussion.
Merits will eventually come when members perceived you as someone who has authority on the subject.
54  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OKX SCAM - Prosecute suspected fraud on major exchanges.😡😡😡😡😡 on: February 16, 2023, 11:14:37 PM
Its been 8 days and OP never provided anything he wants us to sympathize with their cause but their promise is still hanging 8 days a very long for a promise that involves an accusation, they should have readied all the documents needed before creating an accusation here, this should be a shred of strong evidence because we are not talking of a small exchange here, they have money and they can counter with libel if the shreds of evidence are not strong.

Because he wasn't interested in providing documents or discussing accusations, he was interested in creating topics.

And no, it's not just 8 days since he created a similar topic on January 22nd if they would have had any proof they would have posted it in the previous topic not again claiming just like last time they will post it "soon", so expect another topic in March with the same copy-paste content and no actual proof of this even happening. They are interested in the title and content being indexed and maybe using it as an attempt to have some sort of leverage, give us money or we're going to post these kinds of topics all over the net.

That's possible because checking the scam section for a thread that existed about OKX, this is the only thread that comes out, what you posted could be the real scenario if OP will not provide any evidence for the basis in calling OKX a scam exchange.
If another one comes out without any strong evidence to prove their allegation, then its possible that a syndicate is behind this, I don't want to speculate but OP is not showing anything and we have proof of extortion in the past about reputable platforms.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful Many New Tokens on Coinmarketcap are on: February 15, 2023, 12:01:11 PM
I noticed that Recently CoinMarketCap website has been adding new Tokens without verifying the Token team, goals, and if it's legit.
Most of these currencies collapse during the first weeks of its launch.
i Remember that the website used to check every Token before publishing it to the public.
Has anyone noticed that as well?

They are adding because these tokens have met the requirements they laid out even useless and scam projects can get in because they know how to tweak the project to make it look good in the eyes of investors and Coinmarketcap team, Coinmarketcap or Coingecko are not the parameters anymore to check if the project is legit.
In fact every year there are hundreds of coins or tokens listed on these two market aggregators that do not have volume or updates anymore.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rumors that US SEC would like to ban crypto staking on: February 12, 2023, 11:49:08 PM
I agree with US SEC to ban crypto staking because it's a complete scam because it work similar like banking interest account, we're stake our token in untrusted centralized pool and it either get hacked or the pool's owner stole everyone tokens.
Im not saying Im agreed. But not all staking pools were scam. Maybe I am bias since I had a lot of staking tokens that has been resting on a non custodial approach. Yes it may fall off due to dividend similarities however, its a necessary for some nodes to have stake to run the ecosystem. If they were to ban this, most centralized exchange offerinf this might suffer. Though Id really think this is just a big fud over a part of cryptocurrency utility called staking.

Staking is already part of the Cryptocurrency industry its just some scam pools are making them bad there's a certain risk attached to it, but between banks and Staking interest I'll go for Staking interest already made a profit from the right pool I stake my Coins I just can't imagine Staking gone from Cryptocurrency ecosystem when Ethereum the number two coin in the market is now in Staking, there could be disruption if they will do that, I don't think it will gain support and many investors and supporters of staking will oppose this.

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from a brother's mistake on: February 12, 2023, 10:44:57 PM

What lesson could be learned from this?

If you are a altcoin investor, do not keep all your eggs in one basket, if you believe in an altcoin, make sure it's not the only one, in fact, the more coins you have in your portfolio the lesser the risk, because not all the coins will go bad or get hacked, if one out of 5 or 10 become successful, 6x to , 10x or more, you've made back your ROI and still have some gains.

Provided that all the altcoins in your portfolio are all well researched, there is no perfect research because there is no guarantee that the altcoins however good they may seem will be profitable in the long haul, its good to diversify but keep following all these altcoins and always ready to trade it to better coins, to avoid massive losses, you don't have to wait for a coin to get to the bottom before trading it.

58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bounty really pay? on: February 11, 2023, 10:35:29 AM
Sometimes I find myself being added to Telegram groups where they are doing bounty campaigns for new coins but at the end of the day, people will start complaining that the project is dead. In most cases I exited from the groups immediately I find myself there because I feel they are prone to defrauding people.
This makes me to wonder if bounties really pay.

Some of them pay, and for bounty hunters to get their payout the bounty managers should escrow the allocation, if the team will be the one to manage the distribution there's a possibility that they will not keep their promise of distributing the bounty allocation at the specified time, and for the tokens to be distributed the crowdfunding should reach at least the soft cap.

I participated in many bounty campaigns and received some of the tokens after several months, some of the tokens I received have little value or no value at all because the developers left the project and they dump their tokens.
Participating in a bounty campaign is very risky it is like a gamble, and you have no guarantee that what you're doing is worth it.

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What could be considered red flags with tokenomics of new projects? on: February 03, 2023, 10:11:24 PM
I have some questions about fund raising of new crypto projects and what could possibly be considered a red flag when checking out their tokenomics, especially the team allocation and fund raising, I hope this is the right section for this.

If a token supply of a project is 100 million and the team is taking 10 million for themselves is this a red flag? If No, how much is alarming allocation for team of a new project?
It's not really a red flag since the team needs money along the way to continue to develop and market the platform, it's still within range, some developers kept 20% of the allocation

Quote
My second question is about the locked period of team token allocation, have this proven to be a better solution to avoid dumping from the team themselves?
If I were an investor I will look if there is a locking period of the shares of the developers, they will be motivated to work on their project until the token is unlocked and with a good price in the market.

Quote
If a new project successfully raised 3x of their target in any presale isn't that enough to get the project to where they plan? So why the need for the team to still acquire some token allocation for themselves?

Some will say that token allocation is for development, what about the money the project raised?

But what if they did not reach the soft cap and just depend on the money that they got so they will have to rely on the locked token for their future profit, the first thing I look at is how motivated the team is and if they are really capable.
