41  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: ALL SOLD - [WTS] 4 X Antminer L3+ [NO PSU] - ALL SOLD on: June 17, 2017, 06:51:11 PM
Deal didn't go through.
honestly in the end i am still highly skeptical but for future buyers i strongly recommend going through OGNasty as escrow just because he's patient and honest

Thanks

Yeah i know it's risky but a antminer L3+ for 2.6k is worth a shoot otherwise i can charge back via Paypal and if they don't cooperate i can get it canceled by bank. I still hope that this is legit
Best part is that the op came online today and didn't post anything and didn't respond to my pm.
Only time will tell if by Monday morning no update i will cancel it.

EDIT: Update got a response from op saying he will ship the miner tomorrow morning.

Well I am highly skeptical if this is legit or not but I placed an order for 1 Antminer L3+ with fedex shipping
Will update if legit or not.

Thanks

Did you pay btc or CC?

PayPal and really weird but just received a shipment update via PayPal saying the tracking number etc and it is write non applicable
EDIT: added pictures

Are these miners in stock or do we have to wait until august to get them?

I wouldn't trust anyone today...wait and buy in a couple days.

Well sadly to late only time will tell

Hi,
I am about to buy 1 miner with paypal. It's not the same as the wallminer one which asks you to "Send them money through paypal as a gift" But it is an actual paypal payment process like the one on ebay. Just don't want to get scammed out of this. So  is this an ok way to buy?

Thanks
dont ever send as a gift send with an invoice so you have protection the fact that they asked you to send with paypal as a gift raises alot of flags in my eyes be careful

I know the "send as gift" is a scam i mentionned it because in the past a site called wallminer said it accepted paypal as a payment method but it was actually asking people to manually sign in to paypal and send them the money as a gift. Which i know is a scam. But on 33bitcoin.com the checkout is actually exactly like the one on ebay so i am skeptical if it is actually legit or not.

Thanks for the reply

Didn't think hynix vram was that bad...

Hi,
I am about to place an order for some GPU's but wanted to know which one of these is better?
Asus DUAL-RX580-O8G      244.62$ USD
MSI RX 580 GAMING X 8G  267.70$ USD

I read that the msi run cooler but i never had a msi so i cant vouch for them but i had some asus and those are okay.
If this matters, I would prefer a card that runs colder and can be tuned for the lowest power consumption.

Thanks

Dual are the bad! The cooling is awful. Card quality is like lottery. I have 1 it's running great lowest voltages on same clocks, but the second wasn't even able run at stock settings... 69° and it was crashing...
I've just bought MSI RX 480 Gaming X 4G so will let you know how it is, I will have it next week.

Well really good to know that the asus dual has lower standards
Lets keep this going  Grin

Well i don't have them yet "there's a 22 day lead time" but if i can actually get some i will gladly tell you and also ask that you mention me so i can get some sweeter deals later on  Grin

Thank you and also great config running them at 30.5mhs with those fan speed. But I am curious about the temps you are getting off of them.

I'm about to test out SMOS.

At the moment I have a rig with a mix of Nitro+ RX570, RX580, 4GB and 8GB cards. Currently running at stock settings on EthOS.

I'd like to get the hash rates up a bit and power consumption down a bit. Do I need to mod the BIOS on the cards or can all the adjustments be made in SMOS?

Thank you for any suggestions!

Maybe my question about optimizing cards for lower power and higher hash on Simple Mining is too simple or obvious for experienced users?

I've watched many videos of people swapping timing straps that appear to not really know what they are doing. Then there are the long lengthy forum threads from true GPU mining geeks who clearly know what they're doing and have a high level of knowledge on the subject but these are very difficult to follow as a nube.

So just to get my rigs up and running quickly I'm using stock settings with ethOS which has many options that can be tweaked in the config file. I also see SimpleMiningOS has a nice control panel which seems to have all the same options if not more.

So my question is: To get optimal hash/electricity ratios can I simply tweak the settings in SimpleMiningOS alone or do I need to flash optimal mining timings and settings to the BIOS first and then further tweak them in SimpleMiningOS?

mhh ... u can play arround with SMOS and when u found ur preferred settings u can flash them to ur gpus ... or you just set them in SMOS ... it dont forgets those overclocking settings.

Hi,

I will ask my own which is extremely similar to this guys.
I burnt my old desktop motherboard mining so i am completely changing my setup and going with a server case / 7 GPU build. I currently do not have a computer i could use to change the GPU's strap etc so can i install my miner (Simplemining) and in simplemining modify the straps etc of the gpu's individually in the simplemining itself? Or will i need to setup a windows computer and then set the cards Bios setting there manually?

Thanks

Tested both RX an R version, RX its fine, but R shows only the simpleminer login screen and miner dont appear in dashboard, any idea?
Tested R version with HD7950 card.

Logged in, ran the command /root/utils/atiflash -i and it says no card found.

Thanks.

Hey man, what user and pass used to login on console?
miner/miner
root/miner1324

Anyway i think you should reflash pendrive..

UPDATE
Good news everyone !
Simplemining WILL support NVIDIA very soon.
It is my priority now over anything else.

You sir, are awesome.
56  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB M2 to PCIE Adapters (CAN) on: June 06, 2017, 01:22:41 PM
Hi,
I am looking to buy some M2 to PCIE adapters. I tried to order some on ebay but sadly it didn't work out and the delay was too great so i am hoping that i might be able to acquire a few of them over here.
These would need to be shipped to Canada so keep that in mind. I would need 5 of them.

Thank you

Nevermind found some on amazon

anychance this will become compatible with the NVIDIA crowd in the future?

I hope for a nvidia version too. I currently got an amd rx580 order pending with a 3-4 weeks lead time. (If all goes well)
So a Nvidia version would really be nice for some diversity.

Also you do not need to release a nvidia right now we can wait a few days  Grin
No but if you do, take your time. 6 months? we can survive

Thank you

59  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS - USA] RX470 RX570 on: June 02, 2017, 01:56:17 PM
Hi,
yeah i asked you what is your best price on them.

(4) ROG STRIX-RX470-O4G-GAMING
(1) MSI RX480 (this one was open box, need to check the model and dates)

You say you also have other hardware for sale; do you have some usb pcie risers? (50cm ones)
If so i would need 25 of them

What is the best price you can do you these? (GPU + Risers)

Thank you
