No.
To the contrary, I think that with the current evolution due to GPU mining that is just starting, we are going to see a resurgence of this coin. It is a great coin, especially when you look at the intricate complexities of the math behind primecoin. Some may debate the value of the prime chains found, but whatever value, it is infinitely more valuable than the proof of work of many random scamcoins that are pushed and pumped lately.

Excellent improvement on 290x!! Went from 5 cpd to 6.6 on triple 290x. Good work!!

The "expected" numbers seem to be pretty close. I usually seem to be pretty close lately. Use those to determine whether you should have found a block. I would be curious whether those complaining about not getting blocks have mined until the expected is over 1.000?

It looks like he just started it. Mine always shows high numbers right at the start, then they gradually stabilize down.

My statement was, that I like this coin compared to most coins.
"Pump and dump" is a well used phrase on these forums, it defines a majority of coins released. Also, ignore the troll box, it is in your own best interest.

I have 3 x 290x running. I am sitting at 4.7 average cpd. Increased pretty well from original numbers. Times on all 3 cards are 155-185, but vary a bit. Miner paid for itself easily and I am still getting blocks, but they have slowed, likely because of raising difficulty. Cards are at 1075/1250.
Is there an improved 290x client coming? I would love to see these numbers improve.
Thanks primegpu guys! I like that I can mine a good coin and be as profitable as the pump and dump coin of the day.

Since we seem to be increasing difficulty quite quickly, is the mining client configured to mine efficiently once the difficulty hits 11? Won't 11 chains be the goal after we hit difficulty of 11?

Would you rather give away a percentage of your earnings in order to have a more steady income of small amounts (pool) or solo mine with more infrequent, larger chunks of income and keep that percentage? By the time you add in pool fees, transaction fees and cheaters/scammers that manipulate and find a way to skim your earnings, I think solo is better.

You probably need the dev version so it has everything.

I think he means that you will find blocks easier at 11 difficulty than when it is at 10.5. Though if you look at the graphs, block rate jumps quickly when the next number is reached, so it doesn't stay long at the low end of the number. (It has been a long time since I took a math class, so I don't remember the number terminology to explain any better)

I understand this might sound a little bit as anti-advertising for he last prime-gpu server version (though its definitelly not intentional nor the point of my question for sure) but did anyone so far found something using the latest version - 1.03 ?
3 blocks today.

looking in the block explorer, it is a 10 digit bi-twin, but the miner server screen did not show as having found a 10 digit. It had 0 for 10 prime and 1 for block found.

How do I copy/paste in that program? maybe this will work. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi201.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Faa23%2Fxsuperbgx%2Fprimedebug_zpsea4a99e5.jpg&t=663&c=-Fm80fUY2heYUA)

I know, I did that, but I don't know how to interpret any of the info that it gives me.

Sorry only 800 confirms, but it shows in the block explorer. 19a5d6fcc4c7fd2f2fcc5cc75a6f6b90d184011faa994e53940fb754d254c66d I have no idea how to interpret that data shown in the block explorer. The debug log is a huge file or what? I can't get it to open.... oh only 2.5 GB....... ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Is there a way to trim it down or restart it or ? With 9 cpuusage cpu usage goes 50-90%. 4930k and 3 x 290x. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi201.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Faa23%2Fxsuperbgx%2Fprimegpu2_zpsb20be4f7.jpg&t=663&c=6rXxEZson13OCw) Edit: previous numbers for performance here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=548230.msg6097200#msg6097200

14.3 does bump perf on 290x, thanks.
I got a strange block today, wasn't a 10 chain and had 10.3 xpm value. do they usually reject right away if they are bad? This one has 1000 or so confirmations, could it still reject?

I am jealous of those 280x numbers. Hoping for a 290x improvement soon.... ************************************************************* ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

on 4930k with 3 x 290x I increased cpu usage to 11 and it maxed out cpu at 100%. I found the sweet spot at 9. 10 was too much also.
I upgraded to 1.03 and changed that setting and performance went up 10%. Also all 3 cards have similar times now, where previously they were different for each card.

I can confirm a refund and receipt of another miner. Thanks to the dev's!
