You may want to look at this answer to a question I posted: https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/53098/what-is-meant-by-maintenance-of-a-crypto-currency-wallet

Don't worry wallet maintance is common usually resolves after 1-2 days or less. Has happened to me many times
Thanks, you made half of my day  Smiley The other half, hopefully, will happen when I get access to my XBY.

What exactly is "Maintenance" ?

As Trumpman says, this is common. In fact there are several coins in Maintenance at the moment. They are probably updating for us but I have contacted the Top Support and will await a response.

Thank you so much. This is very appreciated.
If it is just a question time, I can live with it. Though, 1 day long seems to me a bit long. Thanks for getting involved.

I read the complete story of how the new XBY came about, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1793468.0;all
That's one adventure. Kudos to CCRevolution and Borzalom and all the others who are involved in reviving XtraBYtes! I cannot refrain myself thinking - If such people are ready to go all the way through this trouble trying to revive a gone-bad crypto currency, then they must be serious and honest. Any scammer would certainly not go to that length and trouble just to continue an unfortunate scam. Like one member mentioned: "why not starting a brand new currency instead of trying to revive one that went haywire?" My guess is it's because these people did not drop the towel after being scammed they decided to do something about it and that is remarkable. Thanks you CCRevolution and Borzalom. I was inspired when I read the whole thing and I decided to invest in XBY.
Bad decision. Guys I am sorry to say this but it seam your team neglected some details. C CEX, are they trustable? I opened an account with C-CEX and enthusiastically started the venture of getting myself 1 millions XBY! Wow, now I am ready to become a millionaire! The problem is: I am now stuck with 575000 XBY that I cannot recuperate into my local wallet because C-CEX "apparently" must "Maintain" my account?  It's been going on for over 24 hours now. What it means exactly has not been revealed by C-CEX so far, despite my many attempts to get explanation and correcting the problem. I don't know what to think of these people up till now but permit me to make a suggestion. Find another exchange for your XtraBYtes if you want people to create Statics.  So far, I managed to purchase my 1 million XBY but I am out of 575000 that I cannot touch and God know when they are going to be released.

This is a $1200 disaster.  Not a pretty picture ! Any suggestion anyone ?

Thanks Nemgun. Can you be a little more specific, I am new to all this jargon. When you say
Quote
always check the status of the wallets
what exactly do you mean? Should I check wallets of all the dealers from whom I dealt my coins? how could I do that? or are you referring to the trading platform wallet, in my case c-cex.  And, is the maintainer c-cex? How come these people are still trusted as an exchange platform? I sure am not be the first one?

One more question, why would you doubt that my accusation could be a scam. First, it is not an accusation it is a Fact declaration. I have all the proofs to back my statement. Second, I am not putting any accusation, it is simply an attempt from me to get help from the community on how I can manage to get my funds back.

Furthermore, where would you suggest I post my request if this is "wrong section for exchange related problems"
thanks for your support

As far as I can see I've done nothing wrong with my C-CEX account, yet my attempt to withdraw XtraBYtes (XBY) funds is in vain! I have been collecting many screenshots of attempts to communicate with C_CEX support and the only thing happening is a robot answer stating
Quote
"Wallet is on maintenance now. Please, wait until we finish and we will be able to resolve this issue after that"
Huh
Yea! sure. Maintenance of an account certainly does not take over 24 hours. C_CEX was lightning fast to accept my funds when I filled up my account with my precious bitcoins. They are not so willing to let my have my money back now! Also, even after two messages to support, I still get the exact word for word automated answer. They apparently cannot do anything until the account is out of maintenance status.  I can understand that they are getting uncountable support request and that they have to resort to automated robotic reply system to keep up but that is not a way to handle my XBY portfolio.
C_CEX is not an exchange it is a gimmick to hold on your funds while making profit. At least that is what transpire from the behavior. Dont juge a person on his words but on his actions.
I want my funds C_CEX! What are you doing ?  And dont accuse me of not asking, I have sent you 2 support requests so far in the last 24 hours.    A suggestion anyone ?

Goatpig Thank you for clearing a few details. I now know why I had so much problems. I never realized Bitcoin.Core was necessary. Should have done a little more reading. Actually, is there a source of down to basic instructions on how to install Armory correctly (including the Bitcoin.Core necessity) ?
As for 0.96 version, do you suggest I jump to that version immediately or as a beginner, wait until it is fully tested ?
thanks again...

Exactly, how did you proceed to delete the wallet? I tried deleting my empty wallet, which seams to be a simple procedure, but following the instructions would endup doing just nothing. Am i missing someting here ?  Thanks for your help

First elaborate on your issue.
OK let's elaborate.

Last year I installed Armory, created a new wallet, printed the Armory Wallet Sheet with the Root Key and stored the sheet somewhere. Never purchased any Bitcoin on that wallet and never did any transactions. The wallet is empty.  Since then I lost my computer ( pass the details )  Now I want to return to Bitcoin and start investing. I reinstall a totally new version of Armory (version 95.1 64bits). At install I do not create a new wallet, instead I attempt to reinstate my previously created wallet. It is then that I got into all kinds of strange behaviors from Armory. 1- The current status keep Offline  2- Get a message "Cannot find Bitcoin Installation - Check Again"  3- Many attempts to setup Armory to the target installation folder did not fix the problem.  4- Import or Restore wallet would give an error: "Armory is currently in the middle of scanning the blockchain for existing wallets. New wallets cannot be imported until this operation is finished" 5- I got annoyed a bit bit this uncontrollable behavior and decided to create a new wallet, same error message.  6- then finally for some strange reason Armory let me create a new wallet. I thought that may unlock the software and then let me reinstate my previous wallet. No, still cannot reinstate my old wallet. 7- Then decided to delete that new wallet. Armory would not delete the wallet. I could go through all the steps but it was just like if I was doing nothing. The wallet would stay there no matter what.  8- Then, as a desperate solution I decide to erase the whole installation and start from scratch with a new installation, this time I install Armory into the default C:\Program Files (x86)\Armory\ folder. Maybe choosing another location is what triggers the whole problem? No! I still am stuck Offline. But this time I was able to reinstate my old wallet, Now that's an improvement. But, I am still getting the error "Cannot find Bitcoin Installation - Check Again" even though I check the Armory installation folder and is correctly entered into the Settings.

Current status: I have my old wallet installed but I am Offline and can change it.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks
