So quiet in here.. what's happening? Smiley)

What you're mining lately? I personally keep my ATI to nicehash cryptonight7 and nvidia all to raven, sometimes I'm switching towards pigeon. I've heard about Lux, but did not have time to read more about it. Whatcha think?

Note an attempt to hack me was made.

Quoted this for you Wink

Oh well.. so 20Mh/s at 140-150W is a good hashrate. Thanks for the input Smiley

Still chasing ravens and pigeons!

Do you guys mine bitcore lately? I think I'm having poor hashrate for my 1080ti's, smos, 150w PL, ccminer-tpruvot-v2.2.5, getting about 20Mhs/card. You guys getting more or it's ok? Smiley
I see it jumped in profits yesterday and I've started to mine some. Still hashing raven tho Smiley

Salut Vlad!
V-am folosit de 1 an de zile incontinuu pentru scos fiat din btc si nu as vrea sa ma duc in alta parte, insa este foarte complicat sa continui sa lucrez cu voi.
Am adaugat contul in euro si pentru a putea face withdraw, trebuie sa depun 20euro.
Bafta!

The people that are good on RX mining, how to setup on simplemining (claymore) to run dagger-hashimoto with lower temps? Right now it does around 29.5Mh/s. I will be happy to lower down the temps and power consumption with lower hash.. but I cannot get it done.
I've tried with 800 and 850 at voltage (currently are 900), lowering the power stage (right now is 4), playing with -dcri, -asm, but I cannot make it.
Anyone got any advice? During the high temps (around 26-30 degrees here in Europe) I've just powered it off and I'm trying to find settings so I could lower down the temps and power consumption.

Thanks

I've heard smOS is bad (and can't really do it other than the power stages which doesn't lower it that much anyway) at undervolting amd gpus. The only way it run the gpus undervolted with smOS is to mod the bios with the undervolt

Been running with SMOS for more than a year now, since ETH farming days, RX470,RX480 all with custom roms for lower power works well SMOS. Post RX and 570/580, NVIDIA was a perfect fit in SMOS, no BIOS mods needed, good power controls, simple and fast deployment and vast miner support for NVIDIA. Cant imagine buying anymore GPUs from AMD unless the produce a miracle.

Totally agree.
Right now I stopped trying to lower the power consumption because the cryptonight v7 is paying well at nicehash. So I got my ATI rig to nicehash hashing monero7 Smiley

And nvidia is still chasing ravens.. I'm thinking to split them between raven and pigeon .. I've already mined pigeon last week and I see now is listed on cryptobridge, but the price is reeaaaaly low ... (1pgn = 0.00000046btc)

https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/linux-graphics-x-org-drivers/amd-linux/918649-underclocking-undervolting-the-rx-470-with-amdgpu-pro-success

Don't go with their 818 figure on the undervolt though (I'm running about 860 on my Polaris-based rigs), it's turned out to be a bit optimistic for a wide range of RX 470/480 cards.
AMDGPU does NOT support undervolting or lowering clocks out of the box as of the current 17.50 version (or older), you have to hack the applicable kernel module to make it work, though BIOS modding the card for lower voltage and clocks SHOULD work as well.

Thanks. I will look into it and will come back with feedback Smiley

@citronick - what pool you're mining zen on?
Right now I'm poiting towards ZHash.pro (https://zen.zhash.pro/), which went well in the first day, but yesterday I got only 0.2 Zen from 6 x 1080ti which is really low imho. Whattomine says about 0.38 or 0.35 zen / day which I got three and two days ago.
Could you suggest a better pool? Or yesterday was a bad day for you too?

Thanks

LE: What do you think about XVG? Looks like getting much profit than any other coin currently. I'm thinking pointing towards zpool and be paid directly in BTC.

I mine ZEN at SUPRNOVA. Mined RVN and PIGN also at SUPRNOVA.

SUPRNOVA has more than 8000 workers at their ZEN pool.... it has 16M sols/s out of the total network 68M sols/s. So its quite a massive pool. I have about 67k sols/s pointed there... just over 10 coins per day.

XVG is climbing the ranks, I bought 0.5 BTC worth during the dips more than a week ago, will be selling my bag soon and buy more NEOs below 50 bucks. Too hard mining XVG, just too many miners/algos/DDOS and those Baikal X10 ASICs can do Lyra2 Myriad-Groestl now, so I just bought it outright at Binance.
I'm also mining pign and rvn at suprnova, but I thought it would be better on a smaller pool, maybe the round earning could be better.
As MagicSmoker was saying, is bad. So I'm gonna wait for the payout to be made and I'll move to suprnova.

In the meantime, I'm trying my luck at zpool for lyra2v2 and be paid in btc. Maybe BTC will climb in the next months...

Monero is the only CN coin that has switched so far - ETN had ballpark half the network hashrate of Monero and has ANNOUNCED they plan to fork to change algo, but hasn't done so yet.

Why would ETH miners switch, unless Monero profitability goes WAY up quickly?

I am still sitting on the fence on this..... I suspect there will be a yo-yo situation here to stabilize the XMR blockchain.

.... one more thing.... is this Monero's first hardfork?

I hope Fluffy's devs are more competent then the VERGE team.

Meanwhile the farms are still working hard on PIGN and ZEN.
Which pool you're mining on ZEN?
Right now my nvidia rigs are on pign and rvn on suprnova and I'm thinking moving one 1080ti rig on zen.
Thanks

Anyone with RX cards managed to switch to cryptonight v7 on nicehash?

I'm getting 100% rejected shares with xmr-stak from simplemining. This is my config, I'm guessing is ok and problems with the pool?

--currency monero7 -o stratum+tcp://cryptonightv7.eu.nicehash.com:3363 -u walletaddress.ativ7 -p x

im using this miner on RVN
goo.gl/9QSF2n

-20 on all rigs, super stable....
avg ~19.33MH/s per 1080ti 70pwr/163core/-200mem

Currently mining on Suprnova @ 2,431.58MH/s average rate
You guys are suggesting that enemy is better than nevermore?
Right now on smOS I am using nevermore.

Thanks

I see the second hand market for gpus here in Australia starting to drop down to almost reasonable prices. Can get a rx570 for around 300-350 AUD.

In the first hand market, I mean like the online retailers, the price of nVidia is still strong and not much availability.

frankly.... 99% confidence level ..... my next GPU purchase if any, will be NVIDIA.... after the Vegas, I gave up on AMD :-(

On another topic, I ran both farms on RVN today since SMOS updated the miner list to include all the RVN miners for AMD and NVIDIA. Those 1080tis mines like a boss for RVN. This X16R algo is perhaps more suitable for NVIDIA GPUs because the 480/470s were crawling. Ran the farms only for about 6 hours and back to their normal jobs. I did however, buy a bunch of RVN from Cryptobridge and transferred them over to the Core wallet. Let's see if this RVN can buy me a used Lambo a year from now.

Is there a pool that you recommend for RVN?

Yeah looking to a find
 a pool
 b find an exchange
I am also looking forward to this. Although Daaaveee already answered.

I have it at 200 watts = 80%

Thanks!  Man, that mini is a power hungry SOB!!

Nah, it's 1080 ti's in general that want lots of power by current standards, my R9 290s tend to sniff at the power-sipping cool running noob cards.

I don't have any 295x2 or 7990 cards or others of the "2 GPU on one board" style though.

yeah  and I can drop any 1080ti down to 125 watts.  If I choose. but 135 -145 watt setting  is most efficient.
I was pushing 200 to keep house warm with cold spring this year.

I set to 150 and my sols are now 4.2  per watt
vs 3.6 per watt at 200.

I will be getting ready for summer soon and will need to set gear much lower in watts
Hey Phil, would you mind sharing the settings you're using for 125watts during hot days?

Right now I'm using 195W +50 core, +300 mems, 68 max temp and 60% fans. The cards are Palit 1080ti Gamerock premium edition. I'm getting about 700-720 sols.
I'm thinking about lowering the watts and keeping a good average sols/w.

Thank you

Any tips regarding the upcoming monero fork?
Are guys gonna move your ati rigs towards the new algo for monero? What about the price of the monero? I hope it will rise.

Am I the only one who's next payout at nicehash will be after I reach 0.1 BTC? I should mention I'm mining in their wallet.
This is weird because until today they paid daily. Now it's
Next payout 2018-03-05 13:24
Payout amount 0.10203791 BTC

Later edit: Now it shows it will pay tomorrow. Maybe there's something wrong with their site...

Is this drop really caused by Tether and all of that?
I just read this on business insider.. everyone is talking about it.
Hope to get back pretty soon Smiley

Hi guys,

I recently bought 6 GTX 1080ti as follows:
2 Palit Jetstream
4 Palit Gamerock Premium Edition

The Gamerock editions are better cooled thanks to their dual fans (totally 4 fans).
I'm using SMOS and I'm currently running with +50core, +300 mem and 225W for Gamerock and +150core, +500mem and 225W for Jetstream edition.
Equihash gives me around 4350 sols, around 710-730 per gpu.

Those are my first 1080's. In your opinion over time, how is it?
If I go to 200 or under 200W, sols are around 680-700 per gpu.

Thanks

try 190 watts meter the watts  against sols

try 195 watts meter  the watts against sols

try 200  watts meter the watts  against sols

try 205
try 210
try 215
try 220
try 225

use dsmt
use ebwf

I have 3 rigs with six 1080 tis   I like 195 watts and dsmt best
I'm using ewbf, didn't tried dstm, I will give it a try tonight.

You're saying I should try playing with watts from 190 till 225 and see where I'm getting the best efficiency?
It does matter if I change the core and mem when playing with the watts? Or should I keep the settings posted previously and just play with the watts?

Thanks for advices. As I said before, I'm having ATI and Nvidia 1060 rigs, and it's my first 1080ti.
