41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe that digital currencies will replace Fiat? on: October 09, 2017, 09:30:05 PM
I know it may not be possible right now, but do you think fiat will be gone in the future?

Globalization reaches out rural areas in attempt to urbanized them. But it is not fast enough because of several factors. Crypto currency cannot fully replace fiat unless everyone is in favor using it. There are government officials who doubt the idea of using crypto currency. With the issues that BTC faces right now, it is not yet capable of trying to fully replace fiat since its value is also dependent to the demand. May be in the future, where every one already have enough knowledge about btc and every city/town have a more advance tech.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: October 09, 2017, 08:44:55 PM
I know a lot of people have different reason why the love and embrace bitcoin.
For me the decentralized nature of bitcoin and the thought of being able to send coins to anybody in any part of the word, no third party, no regulation(specific amount), no bullshit is mind blowing.

What I love about bitcoin is the anonymity of its user. I like the idea that no one else knows how much do I have as long as dont let them see my coins (there are ways). Because of this, I have freedom and no bs goverment or any finance institution annoy me whenever I make transactions.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: October 09, 2017, 07:26:27 PM
Good news dude !
Bitcoin price is recovering little by little .
From 950 $ some hours ago to 1066$ now !
Buy now till it's under 1100$.
 https://blockchain.info/markets
As of now the price of bitcoin was recovering and it become more expensivw than before. Furthermore, if the price of bitcoin goes down we must hold our bitcoin because there will be a time that the price of it will become more and more expensive. I hope the price of bitcoin will rapidly increase in the future.

45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: October 09, 2017, 05:17:50 PM
It seems that experts say that Bitcoin 'Here to Stay,' But Banks Could Disappear.

"TheStreet: How do you think FinTech will impact the way banks operate?

Frank Schwab: Banks either react on, or they will disappear. Anyway, the consolidation of the banking industry accelerates as the behaviour of people changes. Some banks will benefit from [FinTech], some will be pushed to the back end, and some will disappear."
http://www.thestreet.com/story/13419089/1/bitcoin-here-to-stay-but-banks-could-disappear-says-fintech-expert.html

What's your read on that?

I don't think that BTC can make banks disappear. After all, banks have been a very important sector in the society. We still need the fiat money to live and the economic state of a nation would crashed without the banks. Banks can still remain even though they won't expand their operations to crypto currency. This is because the majority of people are still dependent to banks and not everyone are fan of BTC.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: October 09, 2017, 04:07:20 PM
https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.

My teacher always tell me: correlation is not = to causation. Those countries are highly urbanized. This metropolitan areas are subjected to high rate of crimes. They are also the first ones to adapt in the progress of tech. For me, it's just a misconception since some people don't like bitcoins because of it's participation in illegal online transactions.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC for taxi on: October 09, 2017, 03:09:52 PM
I like taxi. I think this is a good idea. I hope in my city also accept bitcoin. because everyday I use taxi.

We all wish that bitcoin could be use in many other things. And it's a great idea to use it in transportation. Taking taxi instead of taking a bus is a lot more expensive but more convenient. But the issue here always go down to the unpredictable characteristic of crypto currency. Gasoline is also volatile in the market so pairing this two might complicate things.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why should governments allow bitcoin to continue grow? on: October 09, 2017, 02:36:29 PM
hi there
I wonder why should governments allow bitcoin to continue growing?
after all, they want to have control over the money that we are using
If the government banned the use of bitcoins, more people will use it for illegal purposes. Also, many people likes to do things that government don't allow to piss them of. What should the government do is adapt in the increasing demand of bitcoins. They can control physical money and use it to buy cypto currency. This can make them powerful and eventually they can regulate the value of bitcoins. Tho it would be a long, risky and complicated process.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: October 09, 2017, 12:22:04 PM
Bitcoin as a course or any related currency on web.
In my country we have multiple courses in computer especially programing and web developments. My course is also information technology, but i've never heard or learn about online currency as bitcoin. In present, and future studies is there any chances for inserting about it in education. In your country is it available?
It would be better for any country to adopt bitcoin in educating new generations. Instead of playing games and wasting money in surfing xxx sites.
I don't think it is included in the program of any computer related courses we have in our country. The deeper knowledge and understanding about crypto currency have been limited to those who are already working in IT related courses. I think most schools haven't yet think of the idea of including the teaching of crypto currency.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What services you wanna see with Bitcoin ? on: October 08, 2017, 06:38:17 PM
Movies ? gambling sites ? exchanges ? what kind of service you want to see involved with Bitcoin more ?
I would love to see Bitcoin accepted in local stores or in malls. Since we can buy anything we want from there like food, gadgets, clothes et cetera it actually make our life more easier with BTC in our everyday life. We can also use it like payments in buses, taxi, uber train, passenger ship and on passenger planes and I think it could be possible if it is paid in BTC and value based on local currency so fares won't change every day.
An interesting topic. Well I want to use bitcoins in large transactions such as paying tuition fees. Imagine you are a college boy in debt and you are exposed in using bitcoins and investing and gaining profit. You could use your profit to pay your debt and live the life you want without the strings. There are school in various countries that already allow bitcoins as a method of payment but still not in my country so I hope things will change in the future.
51  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is not gambling on: October 08, 2017, 05:01:13 PM
I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.
Fair point. Because Bitcoin is a currency. Saying that investing money is gambling is like saying that investing in a company and playing poker are similar. Using Bitcoin is just like using regular money but online. Besides, its a lot faster and cheaper than paying using online banks. Yes it lacks many characteristics of real money but Bitcoin have a different and specific purpose.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxless and free society? on: October 08, 2017, 04:29:59 PM
Roger Ver is announcing that he's working together with a team to build a completely free society by buying off land in US/Europe or Asia.

Live stream was here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSF52B90xws

What do you think, can this new country be born? Could we move there in 2-3 years? Would you be interested?
Maybe you should first try to understand the main concept of taxation. We pay taxes to finance the government. The government needs its finance to do its duties. There is no perfect government; corruption is born in every generation so just suck it up. There's no perfect system even that tax-less nation. If a country like that will ever born, I don't think it will last. Because 1, where it will get its finance. 2, how secured is that country (in economic, international relation, and military context). 3, how will it regulate its citizens?
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be used to support terrorists? on: October 08, 2017, 03:22:45 PM
On March 8th, Cheollima Civil Defense(CCD) released a video on its website claiming:” Han Sol, the son of Kim Jong Nam, and two other family members were met quickly and relocated to safety. “ And they receive bitcoin for financial support. http://news.8btc.com/bitcoin-plays-a-role-in-humanitarian-assistance This is something nice to do. But what if bitcoin be used to support some bad organizations, even terrorists? Is this already happening?  What i am worrying is if bitcoin be widely used for bad things, negative news would be all over and bitcoin price will drop. It will lead to tougher regulation. Do u think world leaders are willing to kill btc to make sure they can fight terrirists?
To quote my favorite author Rick Riordan's House of Hades, "Magic is neither good nor evil. It is a tool, like a knife. Is a knife evil? Only if the wielder is evil.", which is just similar to bitcoins. We know that the use of bitcoins promotes anonymity, so it's hard to know where do people spend bitcoins to. I think it's already happening and we are not aware of it because the usual bad side of the use bitcoins circles only to drugs and other illegal stuff. All we can do is to hope that terrorists don't use it often.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 08, 2017, 02:50:43 PM
is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? anyhow this money sits in the bank and do nothing for!
Yes, all investment have their respective risks. You should be cautious where you will put the use of your money. You can start investing a small amount and save the remaining. You can also try a small business. Just be sure that you still have enough savings in case of emergency. Bitcoins are not for short tempered people so play nice.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Schools Are Officially Accepting Bitcoin for Tuition on: October 08, 2017, 01:29:36 PM
Universities are embracing accepting bitcoin for tuition, with Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Switzerland the latest school to adopt. If anything, it's another clear sign the cryptocurrency is here to stay.

https://futurism.com/schools-accepting-bitcoin-tuition/

Even so... Bitcoin has been used to buy homes, and countries like Venezuela and Vietnam are beginning to truly embrace the currency. Now, certain universities are adopting the payment method of bitcoin for tuition, albeit with a few caveats.
That's a good start to improve the system of higher education. The debt caused by tuition fees have been the major problem of college students. If more schools adapt this method, more students can easily pay up their fees since transactions in bitcoins is faster and cheaper. Also, many students who use and invest in bitcoins are the busy ones so bitcoins are really a great help for them.

58  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price is increasing AGAIN on: October 02, 2017, 09:18:34 PM
I have noticed the greater rate of increase in the past two weeks. I always trusted bitcoin that it can recover fast from any fall of its price. What do you think? It is good to invest today? And what are your expectations about its price before the year ends?
i firmly believe it will hit the $5000 line by the end of the year. I have said this over and over again to gain much on bitcoin investment what is required is patience. With patience there will be gains for sure.
I also believe that the price of bitcoin will hit $5000 because it can be the reason to make money and income. In addition to that, as of now the price of bitcoin was rising again and I hope it would continue to increase. Lastly, be patient because the price of bitcoin will increase in the future.

Lastly, I hope the price of bitcoin will become more expensive in the near future.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think bitcoin has role to play in the future? on: October 02, 2017, 06:11:14 PM
Bitcoin is a digital currency that is fast, secure, decentralized, and which also has very cheap transaction fees.
Bitcoin has no border from one country to another that is why it is accepted all over the world.
Based on all these aspects, do you think bitcoin has a role to play in the future?

Share with us what you think? thanks Smiley

I think it has huge role in the future. In addition, I agree that it is digital currency and money. We all know that bitcoin is decentrallized in which you can control your own bitcoin. Bitcoin has low transaction fee and it is quite convinient to use. Lastly, Bitcoin has a huge role in the near future.
