41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Long Shot Coin ?? on: January 06, 2018, 01:37:07 AM
What if the coin is worth pennies but the market cap is ridiculous?
Find the coins with the best signs of development / capable management and the lowest market cap & reasonable supply - not just a "penny price".
I recommend browsing coinmarketcap by starting at rank 350 and working down to lesser-ranked coins, buying bags of coins with very low market caps who meet the above criteria.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Obsidian ODN - CryptoCurrency & Secure Anonymous Messaging on: November 07, 2017, 01:43:37 PM
I wasn't in the ICO for this project but have been slowly accumulating at the lows.
With only a 6 million dollar market cap, this seems like a pretty safe buy.
I'm also excited to see the roadmap - looking forward to your next news release!

Windows Defender detects "Trojan:Win32/Fuery.A!cl" in "unify-qt-win32-v1202.zip". False positive?

Thanks for the tip - I also like the charts you have posted on TradingView at https://www.tradingview.com/u/dbt1033/

Keep up the good work.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Place to buy sell ETH on: September 08, 2017, 11:40:45 PM
I use Coinbase when going to / from USD, and Bittrex when occasionally trading ETH against BTC. I've used Coinbase for years and have never had a problem with them.

Checkout Biblepay for a religious project that is actually taking it seriously.
I've been following it since the beginning. No ICO, no premine.
Very active development and a very strong focus on sponsoring orphans through Compassion.

48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best airdrop you ever got (or didnt get) on: September 08, 2017, 11:12:03 PM
Where do you guys find out about upcoming airdrops? Is there a better way than just browsing the Altcoin Announcements section?
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: UNIFY [UNIFY] - A UNIFYING CRYPTOCURRENCY! [1% PREMINE] [4 POOLS] [NOVAEXCHANGE] on: September 08, 2017, 10:51:46 PM
Glad to see the new progress with this project. I downloaded the wallet and moved my coins to it from Nova. I hope to try out staking as soon as they mature.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Data storing on blockchain within cryptocurrency on: September 08, 2017, 09:49:47 PM
Assuming wallets would need to sync the full blockchain, I don't think this would be very practical. Besides the amount of time it takes to sync the chain, the disk space requirements would be much higher than if the storage was on a side-chain.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: September 06, 2017, 04:07:28 AM
I was doing a little research in the BBP Explorer and I'm somewhat worried by the current wealth distribution.

The top two addresses each hold nearly 10% of the supply (12,509,890 and 11,585,552)

http://biblepay.inspect.network/richlist

Based on the transaction amounts in those addresses I would assume both are big miners.

There isn't nearly enough liquidity on C-CEX to sustain large sells if either of those addresses decided to dump...

There also must be some serious equipment working for those addresses to have that many block rewards.

I'm a long-term holder so I'm not going to panic but I thought it should be mentioned here for your input.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Po.et - digital creative assets timestamped onto the blockchain on: September 02, 2017, 03:39:19 PM
myfranco, thanks buddy. Is that a confirmed number, or did you get that from coinmarketcap?

That number is in the official token sale paper available here:

I got that link from here:

Anyone know why the wallet from home is running fine on the pool but from work the pool looks down, im not even able to browse to the pool.biblepay.org site.

Thanks

My best guess is that your corporate web filter or firewall is blocking access to the pool. When you try to browse to pool.biblepay.org in your web browser, what message do you receive?
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - TestNet Thread - Pool Testing for Proof of Bible Hash Pool (PoBh) on: August 20, 2017, 12:35:33 PM
I'm stuck in the "endless login" loop that someone else mentioned. When I enter my credentials and click "Login", the login page just refreshes. Is there any fix or workaround, or is that happening for everyone else too? I've tried multiple browsers, etc. Thanks!
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with Masternode? on: August 19, 2017, 02:11:16 PM
Biblepay is one I've been following closely, with masternode support coming at the end of the year.
Currently only 25 satoshi at C-CEX.
Fair launch, no ICO, no premine.

I'm very impressed at how quickly the development for this is progressing. I'll gladly help out in any way that I can. I mined a decent amount of BBP and bought more, in it for the long term.

bible_pay, do you have any plans to create a Slack team so the community can contribute to development needs?
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: August 09, 2017, 02:55:29 PM
I'm very excited about this project and pleased to see that the developer is so active.
Bought more BBP at C-CEX.
Keep up the great work!
