B 4 (although I'm fine with A 4 too).

Well it took way too long and it's way too late in the night for me to be sitting here on my computer, but I finally got the d&^m wallet to compile and run on Windows....what a pain in the a$$. I guess the good news is it should be less painful next time around, since you learn from your mistakes (and I learned a lot).

Hello Sairon, I'm having some trouble compiling this for Windows (using the instructions from Nitrogentics). Could you help me out by telling me what the minor variations are? BTW, it's not that I don't trust you. In fact I've already downloaded your windows binary build and I'm trying it out now. I just want to figure out how and be able to compile it myself.

Dev dont mine his own product. good indication for all to avoid.
Normally I would agree with you, but I don't agree in this case. Have you ever saw a developer offer to buy his own coin before? To me that's a positive indication of a developer's commitment to the coin. P.S. Unfortunately my miner is slow, so I'm already past the point of "all in" on this auction.

So this is a reshuffle and redeal? I'm a terrible poker player so I best stay out of the game.

Windmaster, I just want to say Thank You for picking this up just after the start and for all the work you've done since in making this a better coin. It's a shame that in cyberspace no good deed goes unpunished. But rest assured that there are far more of us who truly appreciated what you've done (albeit in a silent way) then there were unappreciative haters who for some reason feel entitled to loudly demand more free labor from you.

i7 3630 here too. After three hours I have 3 blocks and had 5 orphans and 2 rejects also. I wonder if that's average?

Looks like I'm not the only one who wasted a few hours today trying to get the f^%*@g wallet to synch, and never could.

Hello, Great job with CoinChoose. I find it extremely useful.
Can I make one suggestion/request? When doing a history query, for the coins that are on multiple markets it's not always super simple to determine if the record is using the LTC or the BTC market. Would it be difficult for you to add an exchange type field in the record (i.e., a field with either BTC or LTC)?
Thanks,
Sure - do you mean the json.php request? Yes, the json.php request. Thank You !!! As an example of why this would be beneficial....here are two histories for BQC during the last hour: {"currency":"BQC","profitability":"234.08428870675","time":"2013-08-13 13:10:02","price":"0.000025003333333333"} {"currency":"BQC","profitability":"97.422862240985","time":"2013-08-13 13:10:02","price":"0.000914"}, both have the same time, and one is for the BTC market and the other for the LTC market. Obviously one could tell from the price which is which. But sometimes there are no trades on one of the markets during a period and then you only have one BQC record for that period. So instead of writing my own code to figure out which market the trade occurred on, it would be great if that field was already in the record. Thanks again for your great site!

For me the rewards seem to hit pretty randomly. Sometimes I get 2-3 in on day and sometimes I got days with no blocks at all. Running around 3500 pps. I have another running around 1200 pps has found 2 blocks in about 1.5 weeks.
Reading this makes me feel even worse. I keep reading that pps isn't a real good indicator. That must be true because my CPU runs about 4400 pps and and for 10+ days....nothing.

I'm beginning to wonder if it's time to throw in the towel on Primecoin. Been mining it 24/7 since the 7/7/2013 opening kickoff on my i7-2600. Did great at the start, mining over 300 Primecoins. Most was in the first few days when the difficulty was much less. But despite trying all the latest CPU Primecoin miner enhancements and running my CPU non-stop, I haven't found a block since the morning of 18 July. That was over ten days ago. Is this typical? I'm just wondering if the electricity costs are even worth it anymore. I figure in this area it's about $0.28 (USD) per day to run the i7 CPU non-stop. Not really all that much, but if it's going to be weeks and weeks between blocks, it just may not make sense to keep trying. On the other hand if I do ever find another block, I'll probably break down with tears of shock and happiness.

I admit I left yacoin after the last N update after I couldn't get my GPU to mine it well and got tired of the blue screen crashes while trying to. Plus started using my CPUs for mining Primecoin. Wanted to get back to Yacoin recently, but the trouble is my wallet crashes with a warning to "try deleting everything but the wallet.dat file and retry". I did that, but still get the hard crashes. What I mean by "hard crash" is it gives me a C++ fatal error warning message then automatically closes the wallet. I get no options to do anything. I was using a wallet version from Windmaster. So I tried the original wallet--that too crashes. Once again cleared out everything but the wallet.dat file and retried yet again--still have the hard crash. Has there been an update to the wallet that is necessary? Has my wallet become hopelessly corrupted (do to the weeks of neglect)? Am I SOL? Thx And no, I wasn't smart enough save the most recent wallet in a backup. I do have an old backup, but it's missing a bunch of coins.

Hello, hopefully someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.
I'm trying to solomine Galaxycoin, but when I do the difficulty drops and I end up getting block after block after block. Thought this was a good thing at first, but the trouble is all the blocks are orphans and they don't show up in the Galaxycoin block explorer. By the way, the very first block I mined was in the block explorer, but afterwards all come in orphaned. I tried deleting everything except my wallet, restarted, and waited for a full resynch. That got rid of the 50 or so orphan blocks, but when I restarted mining the same thing happened and I was getting a couple blocks per minute--all orphans. I tried deleting, fully resynching, and restarting mining a couple more times...same results each time.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong that my miner won't stay on the chain and instead goes off on its own?
Thanks
Try a new wallet.dat? I had a problem qt-wallet wouldn't keep up with blockchain. Not happened since. Yes, thanks. A new wallet did the trick.

I guess I'm not the only one finding a lot of blocks but ending up with none in my wallet. oh well, I'm giving up on this coin and moving on.

I've had two crashes using this high performance miner. The crash states: Assertion failed!
Program: C:\Users\xxx xxx\xxx\xxx\primecoin-qt.exe File: src/checkqueue.h, Line 167
Expression: pqueue->nTotal==pqueue->nIdle
Anyone else had this error/crash? On another note, I'm about ready to give up on Primecoin...I started at the beginning and mined 9 blocks the first day using 3 machines. Then mined 6 the next day, 3 the day after that, 1 more the next day, but I haven't mined a single block since even with the 3 CPUs running 24/7.
