403  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: August 15, 2017, 06:49:05 PM

NO AUTO PAYMENT TIME FRAME CHANGE AT ANTPOOL
so this is notice who keep search or open tickets wait for answer do not lose your time.

Just more self serving policy by Bitmain, same as it ever was.

More tiny transactions = more transaction fees when you try to move that money around = more money for Bitmain (most of which, they don't disperse to their miners)

It's bad enough they took my money for an S9, didn't ship it, won't confirm my payment (AFTER TWO MONTHS), policy like this just adds insult to injury.
404  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Watch out for Kano pool's 100% fees. on: August 15, 2017, 05:51:12 PM

and here are all my blocks I earned a dust payment amount and have not been paid to me yet last I checked its about 12-15 cents worth in all.

As I said in an earlier post, if you have a high capacity mining setup, your rates are significantly lower than miners with less hardware.

Also, the low rates that you enjoy are subsidized by the high rates that people like me pay.  12-15 cents for you, $2.00+ for me.  And that's just from 24 hours of mining.

Basically, Kano is buying you off with my money.  Anyone with a shred of decency would find this absolutely unacceptable.
405  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: GIVEAWAY 1000 WORTH of BTC on: August 15, 2017, 08:44:59 AM
Definitely not real.

Definitely not legit.
406  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Watch out for Kano pool's 100% fees. on: August 15, 2017, 07:17:42 AM
The thing I don't understand is, Kano has made all of this clear, and yet here you are losing sleep and time festering over the thought of never getting your dust. Is it really worth it?

The Bitcoin community should police itself.  When a pool operator has run off with $68,000+ USD of their miner's money, someone needs to shine a light on that.  Frankly I'm amazed it's taken this long for someone to get the pitchforks and torches.  Three years?!?

And let's not forget...

A better question is, why does it bother you that I want my money?  Why the hell wouldn't I?

If I'm successful in pressuring Kano to do what's right, YOU BENEFIT.  You're welcome.
407  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: August 15, 2017, 04:27:58 AM
sorry if it is been answered before
how do we change automatic payout time frame in antpool
i search for 4 hours still can not figure out.
just trying to antminer s9 with antpool probably i ll be out soon.

I don't think you can.

It would be nice if you could though.  I would like to be able to set a payout threshold, so I could make it large enough that I don't have a wallet full of tiny transactions that cost a lot to move around.
408  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BETA] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool on: August 15, 2017, 02:23:11 AM
You have the basic data that's included on the pages, just pm me, or send me an email. I greatly appreciate the offer, thanks.

No problem, working on it now.

I'm just making something super lightweight and static for now but if you want we could look at setting up a PHP script to run on a 10-60 minute cron that updates a few things so the page could be a bit more dynamic.  Also I have a little PHP templating system we could implement if you want, so with a couple cookies users can have their BTC address retained in the page and a preference of skins to show the site using.  For multiple color schemes, optional fancy javascript or 'no images at all' mode, etc.  Also that would let us isolate content text from the rest of the page so if you want to put in text edits it doesn't involve messing with any php/html.

Anyone know the free-est way to remotely retrieve the current value of bitcoin?  Either PHP or Javascript, preferably javascript

Can someone explain to me, in simplest possible language, how to arrive at:
"If we find the block right now, your payout is: X.XXXXXXXX BTC"?

Is it ( Herp / (Sum of everyones Herp ) ) * BTC Value?
409  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Watch out for Kano pool's 100% fees. on: August 14, 2017, 10:43:59 PM

Now greyworld, why did you end up spending bigtime looking for small money?

Irrelevant to the topic.  Who I am does not change the fact that Kano should pay what he owes people, ASAP.

But the answer is because I have faith that bitcoin will increase in value.  So it's worth it to mine at 'just-barely-breaking even'.   And that's working so far, BTC's jump in value the last week has made me a lot more than what mining has.

This is all basically a learning experiment anyways until/if my S9's show up.  Knowing as much as I can about Bitcoin is of value even if it comes with expense.
410  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BETA] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool on: August 14, 2017, 07:01:46 PM
Cheesy Welcome Back Grigorevich!

I hope you are the lucky one who solve the first block, and hopefully nothing went wrong this time.

Fancy webpages with a lot of of Java is not what I need, Information as easy to read as possible
is my favorite.
If a pool got 0 % fee and the cost are there to run it, all coverd by the pool owner, you can not expect a donation for a style up of the webpage I think.

FYI Java and Javascript are very different animals, but I get your point in either case.  I actually think a little CSS / formatting would go a long way towards readability etc, and basically add nothing to the bandwidth costs.  But it's just aesthetics, they only accomplish so much.  Ultimately it's the bottom line that attracts miners, I guess (pretty new myself so I don't really know).

I wouldn't actually expect any donations, just saying I wouldn't charge -ck anything for the service.  I'm basically offering to do it for free, since he's done so much for free himself.
411  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BETA] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool on: August 14, 2017, 06:49:58 PM
I don't mind the way the site is right now, but I don't know if other people feel the same way.

Same, I actually prefer a 'sparse' look.   But sometimes a little polish helps bring in new people.   I could make something with no graphics, just CSS (very lightweight).  Maybe a little javascript to translate the user/pool stats into something a little more visual.
412  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BETA] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool on: August 14, 2017, 05:03:01 PM
Maybe it would help to spruce up CKPool's webpage a little?  I could help with that, and I'd do it for BTC donations.  CK, thoughts on that?
413  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Watch out for Kano pool's 100% fees. on: August 14, 2017, 04:54:28 PM
Update: Due to recent increases in the value of BTC, the figure I have previously come up with for the amount Kano's unpaid 'dust' represents, roughly $50k, is now much closer to $70k  ($68,000 at current rates of $4,250 USD per BTC).

Kano, every day you fail to make good on what you owe, the deeper the hole gets.  PAY YOUR MINERS.

I'll be updating my sigline accordingly.

BTW:  Donations are gratefully accepted - 1NQ5xPxU7iEUic25rmy8DyXGEQrmeETtxJ - Thanks!
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is ETH going to do over the next week? on: August 14, 2017, 03:43:55 AM
Anyone think it will recover to $315 or more over the next week or so?
Why are making analysis in the $ unit because herr the ETH coin depends upon the simple btc unit direct and people mostly buy and sell this coin with the BTC only .
Here if you will see that the price of the ETH increased in the $ then you are right because btc was increasing by value in the dollers .
And due to thid the half of the maximum price of the ETH seems to be high .
Here current price is 0.07+btc/ETH but the maximum price that i seen was the 0.15+btc/ETH , so wait until it get touch to 0.14atleast otherwise if you invested money in this coin and want back then sell and cash out in fiat .
Here i myself invested my money in the ETH about 0.4btc at price 0.09btc/ETH and willing to sell at 0.1btc atleast .

I asked in regards to USD because ultimately that's what it comes down to with my investments.  We can say 'Bought ETH at 0.1 BTC per, omg now it's worth 0.08 BTC per!' and that sounds like it's losing value until you factor in that if BTC was worth $3000 at the buy and $4000 at the 0.08 per, it's actually gained value.  So it's easier just to speak in fiat in this case, for me.

Is there an easier way to avoid this confusion?  Please explain if so, I have much to learn with crypto.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is ETH going to do over the next week? on: August 14, 2017, 02:58:18 AM
this is bitcoin speculation forum and ethereum has nothing to do with it. this topic should be alternate cryptocurrencies forum

Yeah I think you're right, I thought it was a general discussion about Economy -> Speculation but closer inspection shows it is specific to BTC.  Maybe a mod can move it?  I don't see that option in the Edit interface.
416  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive SpondooliesTech SP30 Setup [HD] on: August 13, 2017, 07:02:17 PM
Hi all!!

New user here, pretty green as well. Hope the topic is still alive.

Guys, how can I upgrade the firmware manually on SP30? currently have very old one with limited options to play, have the copy of 2.7.1 downloaded just Know How is missing . I'm looking to upgrade as my CGminer is restarting every 2 mins. Hopefully the upgrade will help.

Cheers

Rogales

Hello, I'm using an SP30 here, it's also my first miner.  A couple things I found that might help:

Try to run it on 220v.

Try to run each power supply on separate circuits.

Make sure you're using a suitable cord.  If the cord gets warm after operation, it's not heavy enough, get a thicker one.

Don't run any other devices on those circuits if you can avoid it.

Remove and reinsert each power supply, make sure it's in there well.

Make sure your 'restart if hash rate falls below' setting is 0

Look at the ASIC Stats page during start up to see if any of them act strange, like they suddenly switch to 1280 mhz just before it reboots.

Go into the ASIC settings and disable all of them.   Restart miner, then turn on one at a time and restart miner between each, give it about 5-10 minutes, if it has a problem with one, leave that one 'disabled' (but not 'removed').

Where did you find firmware 2.7.1?  I'd like a copy please.  I'm using 2.6.14 but it doesn't seem able to get full operation out of the device, with one chip disabled i'm only getting 3.7 Th/s and it should be more like 4.3.  If you'd like a copy of 2.6.14 let me know and I'll find the link, maybe it would help to have it around.

Not enough details.

Random?  What algorithm?  How is it seeded?

You're not giving away 3.5 million on Twitter.   The winner will be one of your sock accounts.
419  Economy / Goods / SLC 500 (industrial automation) to trade for 0.05 BTC on: August 11, 2017, 05:56:10 AM
I recently cleaned out an old ITT 'school' and got my hands on all their automation training stuff.

It's a little out of date but appears to be in good working order.  There's really too much to list off but here's some highlights:

1 * SLC 500 10 Slot Rack w/ Power Supply   1746-P1 Series A
1 * SLC 500 Processor Unit   1747-L541   Series C-7
4 * SLC 500 Output Module   1746-OB16 Series D
1 * SLC 500 Input Module   1746-IB16   Series C
1 * SLC 500 Input Module   1746-IB16   Series A

Will trade all the SLC 500 stuff for 0.05 BTC + Shipping.   Escrow transaction a must.  Equipment sold as-is and has not been tested.

With patience someone could sell this stuff on Ebay for twice the price I'm asking.

Other sensors / switches / motors / pumps available and will be listed separately soon.  Ask me for more details if you're looking for something in particular.

I would also trade this equipment for an S7 or equivalent  (or better) miner.
420  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Watch out for Kano pool's 100% fees. on: August 10, 2017, 01:27:49 AM
I haven't mined there for a while but I decided to go look at my payments page and see how much dust I had collecting out there...turned out to be 95 payments worth... 0.00196058 or about $6.50. I'm surprised he still hasn't paid out the dust to the users after all this time, especially given the substantial increase in value.

Do you mind if I ask your total actual payments from using Kano pool?  I'm trying to figure out the percentage of those payments the unpaid amount represents.  Also, what Th/s did you mine at when at his pool?  Thanks.
