I prefer to let some Bitcoins circulate to support the community. The actual Bitcoin price in FIAT doesn't matter much.

I made a test buy at the Bitcoin ATM in a local Bitcoin shop at Via Dante and I bought a nice Bitcoin tshirt and a Bitcoin lighter. Tabbacheria was closed though...

You should definitely try Pizzeria Da Papi if you are a foodie, they are very famous for their pizzas and also accepts bitcoin. Then there's a bar called Mani al Cielo where they accept BTC for any drink. And if you are not willing to spend your hard earned BTC's for food and drinks, you can try some sports experience (ski, surfing) which are available there in exchange for BTCs.

DaPapi is permanently closed. I had a few drinks at ManiAlCielo today, which I strongly recommend. Nice little bar and I got a 20% discount on Bitcoin payments. Payment went through instantly.
Tomorrow I will be looking for the others (Tabbacheria, Osteria, Bars etc)

Hey guys. Thanks for your suggestions. I have been in Rovereto in the pre Bitcoin years, like 2005. Funny coincidence, that it is called italian Bitcoin capital and now it is a must for me to come back again and support the network. Rovereto is a beautiful place by the way...

I like very much the pic displayed by you in your name. This pic indicates that you are jolly nature ...
The picture is mass murderer Charles Manson. Not really so 'jolly' in fact.

He didn't kill anybody. Check: Charles Watson, Patricia Krenwinkel, Leslie Van Houten, Bobby Beausoleil and Bruce Davis. These were the killers.

You don't even need a computer to mine Bitcoins. Just use a pen and a paper:

Yeah. Bitcoin is backed by science. It's just math after all.

Yes it is a possible way to obtain a bitcoin but not that effective and beneficial. Let me tell you that it can really harm your ordinary laptops and cost you trouble. I think it is still much better to stick in using bitcoin generating machine so that you can mine bitcoin safely. In that way you can avoid breaking of ordinary laptop and at the same time you can mine effectively.

Did you even read above postings???

It is possible when you pay a lot more than you can win

edit: ... or if you try often enough, for like a zillion years or so.
415  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoiners should use decentralized exchanges like BISQ instead of centralized on: July 16, 2018, 11:17:49 AM
The problem with decentralized exchanges is the liquidity and the lack of a strong userbase. It's sometimes hard to find offers that meet your needs.

Atomic swaps/LN seem convenient when it comes to crypto trading so hopefully that will kill certain exchanges.

As with Bitcoin, functionality comes with adoption. As long as people are complaining about a weak userbase instead of making part and strenghten it, there will be no decentralized exchange. The future is Bisq and OpenBazaar.
416  Economy / Exchanges / Bitcoiners should use decentralized exchanges like BISQ instead of centralized on: July 12, 2018, 04:15:46 PM
We want to take out the man in the middle anyway, so it makes more sense to use decentralized exchanges instead of feeding some CEOs a lot of money.
Use BISQ: https://bisq.network/
I can confirm that it works well.

If you have a lot of computing power,
You don't need a lot of computing power.  Here are all the private keys right here:
https://lbc.cryptoguru.org/dio/1

Your key is in there too.  Think your money is safe?  Guess again.  It has already been cracked.

I thought you have gained at least some knowledge about Bitcoin in the past few years, but as it turns out, you are standing in line with the flood of FUD oriented newbs.

No! You need to invest someting like 500.000$ in miners and your electricity cost needs to be very very low. Then you probably can make 3000$ a day.

420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Secure bitcoin on: June 30, 2018, 06:46:11 AM
By using Bitcoin Core as an offline wallet to secure your Bitcoins, you make sure, that you don't have any third party involved and it's for free!
