Yeah it does all these steps mentioned but what recently noticed was that I have to download their mobile apps so it was working perfectly instead of web so that was how I sort myself out from the login issues.
I don't think downloading their mobile apps is necessary in this case, meanwhile if using the mobile apps would remove all of the issues you have and got better experiences on Cointiger then it's good to hear. ~snip~

Yes we are able to edit them, if I remember correctly arallmuus already mentioned it earlier and tried it by himself (includes me). That's why some people above recommend filling up the level 1 KYC form with the real identity to avoid any further issues later.

It's been a while for me too hadn't given a visit to cointiger exchange (due to their reputation).
Anyway, I've tried to log in even reset my password and everything is working although it's kinda tricky to pass the new device detection if we compare it with other platforms.
Here's how the way I passed it:
- Log in to your account as usual and wait for the authorization mail (don't close the tab)
- Go to your mail, click the authorization link
- Back to the first tab and click the "Authorize" button
