401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 12, 2023, 03:34:51 PM
To be honest, I've had this question for quite a while. I keep seeing people claiming to just hold and hold; it'll take one, two, three, or whatever years for the next bull market. However, I'm often wondering: do you ever feel tired of waiting for Bitcoin to thrive? The past few months, or the whole past year—I'm not sure I've lost track of time—have been quite stale. Bitcoin has been ranging between $25.000 and $28.000 for quite a while. The volatility compared to other periods is lower than we're used to, or at least, to what I was used to in the past.

I feel that there isn't too much excitement and this adrenaline feeling anymore; suddenly you'd see Bitcoin climb or crash; you'd be curious when it'd stop, what your next move would be, or simply feel accomplished seeing your money's value grow. Price movements are quite insignificant at this point compared to the huge pumps or dumps that occurred in 2020 or 2021.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against holding, nor am I getting frustrated, at least not yet; I did it in the past and regretted it, even though my only source of income is signature campaigns. It's just that sometimes you can't stop the thoughts from circling around your head. I generally didn't bother to even look at it's price, but I've recently started feeling a little wearied. Perhaps it has to do with the life-induced stress that I've discussed in a previous thread. Who knows? How do you cope with waiting?

No matter what other people say, as long as the only thing that matters is that you always stick to what you believe in, you should just accept their advice since you know that it will help you later on. Choose something that won't help you, but don't.

Therefore, if you intend to store Bitcoin and other altcoins for a long time, you shouldn't become upset if your goal hasn't materialized before you decide to sell it. Simply hold onto your objective once you sell it because those are your possessions that you should value and look after.
402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cross addictions is Just as Bad. on: October 12, 2023, 03:21:22 PM
Cross addiction is as worst as the main addiction you are trying to quit and it is a terrible idea. But what is cross addiction?
Quote
What Are Cross Addictions?
Cross addiction, also known as addiction transfer or addiction interaction disorder, occurs in various ways. First, an individual may simultaneously engage in substance abuse and maladapative behavioral patterns (medically referred to as behavioral or process addictions). Second, a person may replace one addiction with another (i.e., substituting opioids with cannabis). Third, an addictive behavior may precede a chemical addiction or vice versa.
https://www.choosingtherapy.com/cross-addiction/

So a friend told me that a mutual friend tried to replace his gambling addiction with another another one because he has tried all everything else. The new addiction is PS4. He pays for extra on the game and he is getting more and more into it. According to my friend, this mutual friend feels that paying $20 per month its subscription is better than $100- $500 on slots where he ends up losing.

Well I told him that this is basically cross addiction and what that mutual friend is trying to do is like running away from the truth. Not wanting to face the core issue. So he is justify spending $20 and not on slots when both are unhealthy addictions that can have far reaching consequences. He just has to sit and face his addiction head on without looking for a replacement addiction which is just as bad.

Ever heard of cross addiction or suffered from it?
What do you think?

In my honest view of what his friend did, it can be said that, literally speaking, it is fine if you compare it to 100-500 dollars with 20 dollars every month. Even though he didn't get rid of his addiction, he just applied it to playing on PS4. I think it was a wise decision, and at least he is now out of gambling.

What his friend did was an exit from gambling, which can be said to be a wise decision for me. At least he doesn't get tired of 480 dollars every month that he loses just by playing gambling, compared to the current situation where he only pays 20 dollars. Though no profit comes back to him, the only thing in return is that he is entertained.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a strategy to lose on: October 12, 2023, 03:09:52 PM
Gambling is based on luck for real but that doesn't mean you should be dividing your attention into poker, soccer, horse racing, or roulette all at once, you need to choose a side and learn everything you can about the game. This is the mistake that many gamblers are making, they believe since it's all about luck they should expand the possibility to get lucky and it always end up badly for them.

It's no doubt that Poker for example is all about been cunning, logical and deception to gain power over your opponent, it's called upper advantage, this is way different from games like Blackjack, roulette or Slots.

So imagine doing all these together, most gambling games needs your understanding of the odds and taking them into account, especially when wagering, so how can a gambler get involved in all games at once just to increase their chances of getting lucky? Stop this as it's not a strategy to win, it's a strategy to lose.

The ones you mentioned, I haven't actually played. I mostly play slot games; sometimes I play Baccarat, but very rarely. I like it because when I play gambling, I don't have to think about what bet I'm going to make. Just bet, and it's the same as in slot games.

Also, passing time is often the only reason I play gambling; I don't do it seriously, unlike others; the aim is even the jackpot or getting rich gambling; you know what you want to aim for; that's just my gambling trip here in the crypto space.
404  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mga Artista Na Scam Ng Crypto Investment on: October 12, 2023, 02:54:28 PM

405  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Things we should know about the price action on candlestick pattern on: October 12, 2023, 02:34:35 PM
Candlestick patterns can be a great way to make predictions of the future price in forex

At this point, I disagree with you. If we base it on what Op did for me, then what you said is not correct. How did I say that?
OP guidelines made this so others know what dark cloud cover does.

In addition to that, this OP explained that, from what I saw, the dark cloud cover can be used in forex, stock, and cryptocurrency trading.

Quote
Any negative or positive news can prove your prediction wrong if it is only based on candlesticks. There are people who still follow these old methods to trade crypto but there won't be much positive result from using them.

You are wrong again here; even though it is an old method, it is still useful.
There are many expert traders who still use this method. Now the question is
Are you an expert?

Quote
Support and resistance are the only two most powerful price actions that can give accurate predictions most of the time in crypto.

You are wrong again here. How can support and resistance be accurate if we base them on prediction? Has anyone seen someone make a prediction that says this prediction of mine will happen 100%? Is there a prediction that is 100% correct?
406  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: October 11, 2023, 09:10:13 PM
When it comes to financial matters, many people want it because they need it in their daily lives. Especially if they have a lot of bills to pay. A lot of money feels good, but it can also cause stress for most people. Because they lack a source that they can source from.

Even if they have a lot of money, it still causes stress for rich people because they think that there might be bad people waiting for them, the kind that don't have peace of mind. Also, it's really stressful when you know you need to pay your electricity bills because if you can't pay, the electricity will be cut off for sure, and if you can't buy food, the family will really starve, so it's really important to be able to help people these days.
407  Economy / Economics / Re: Honda Now Accepts Bitcoin and Ethereum As Payment Methods on: October 11, 2023, 08:59:29 PM

With such an opportunity to spend btc to buy luxury cars-
*Will you be willing to spend your btc to buy car from Honda? Or any other automobile company that will follow the Honda's part?

*Which other automobile company would you want to also accept btc for payment?

*Is this news big enough to trigger market uptrend in the coming weeks, months?

Does Honda want to continue in Tesla's footsteps or is it only temporary, but what is certain is that this step should be appreciated because BTC is increasingly becoming a part of the business world where consumers can buy valuable goods such as cars and of course it is a driving force for other companies to participate so as to help improve public trust and interest in crypto and increasing its acceptance in the business sector.

Well, if somebody ned to buy a car using BTC now, that's definitely not the case, and to predict the trend, it could trigger an upward trend in the market in the next few weeks or months, I don't dare to speculate further.

Either temporary or long term adoption planned for this adoption to happen its still good since announcing to adopt bitcoin is already a great news to be heard. For sure there's a lot of people in business world read up this announcement created by Honda and adding bitcoin gives curiosity to them about possibilities to add this also in their company. But lets just see what will be the result of their adoption since if honda will generate a lot of sales also good result in terms of bitcoin volatility for sure this will be great in terms of good projection of bitcoin since it can somehow boost more its popularity.

People near them can now buy car without any conversion needed and they can directly use bitcoin or ethereum to make their transactions more faster.

Honda accepting bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies as payment methods is good news for the crypto industry but what I'm thinking is will people use their crypto assets as payment methods? Because most people only like to use them as a means of investment, including us, very few consider them as a means of payment. That's what I'm doubting, even if businesses add bitcoin as payment method but most investors value privacy, will we use btc for payment?

If a person is a Bitcoin holder and it is a long-term holder, then he will see that this is what the Honda company has done. I think he will not use the Bitcoin he has even if we say that he wants to buy a car from Honda itself. Of course, he will think that the Bitcoin he will use to pay for it will be a waste; if he has money to pay with their money, he will do that and use it for sure.

Yes, we're here; that's good news, but that doesn't mean you're going to install the new system that Honda made today. As far as I can see, it seems that the step taken by the company was just wrong timing because we are about to enter Bitcoin's halving and we are getting closer to the bull run. They should have done that right away during the bear market era; this is just my opinion.
408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 11, 2023, 08:47:40 PM
Maybe not all winners behave like that; of course, you won't treat your close friends like that if you are true friends with them. The question is, are those you trust and consider true friends really true friends? Because there are also friends who take advantage of their friendship with people if they know they will benefit from it, right?

Apparently, we know that money has a great effect on people; either you think badly or not, or you can do good to others or not. If you win millions of dollars, will you do the same to avoid your friends? They avoid others as well as their own relatives immediately, and they don't want to know what happened to them when they won a large amount of money.
409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Analysis/Signals/Trading Ideas from Tradingview on: October 11, 2023, 01:03:16 AM
Apart from Tradingview do you know any other site where I can see Analysis/Trading Ideas of any technique (order flow, elliot waves, fibobox, chartism etc)?

And do you have any tips to know which are the best Trading Analysis/Signals/Trading Ideas from Tradingview ?

It seems that anyone can share their Analysis/Signals/Ideas on Tradingview....

From a trading point of view, that's fine with me; that's enough for me to somehow learn how to trade. After all, there are also many tools that can be used on the trading platform. So far, I have no problem using it.

Especially since I am making this a practice place to hone myself as a trader in the crypto space that I live in, and so far this fairdesk is quite easy to use because it is very smooth, to be honest, according to my experience here. I'm not promoting Fairdesk; I'm just saying he's pretty cool.
410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a Standing Desk the Right Choice for Traders? on: October 11, 2023, 12:50:01 AM

In the world of cryptocurrency trading, where every minute counts, the choice between a standing desk and a traditional chair can be a topic of hot debate. I've spent 15 years on trading floors, and I've experienced both sides of the spectrum. Standing desks have their perks, offering potential health benefits and increased alertness, which can be crucial for making quick decisions in the volatile crypto market.

But here's a question for you, fellow Bitcointalk traders: Does standing really help make better and faster decisions in the high-speed trading world? Have you tried it, and did it work for you? Or do you believe that the comfort of a super ergonomic chair is the key to staying sharp during those long trading hours? Let's dive into this discussion and share our insights on finding the perfect balance between health and productivity in the crypto trading world. Your experiences and opinions matter, so let's hear them!

I don't think these things you said here can do anything for a trader to get a profit in crypto trading. Because what is important to us as traders is that we must know and have a broad understanding of trading in this field of the crypto space. Whether sitting or standing, as long as you still know the strategy you are using in your daily trade, it is fine.

That's the important thing; the difficult thing is that we don't have enough knowledge in trading and we don't get profit from it. That's the problem when that happens, right?
411  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Trading on: October 11, 2023, 12:37:57 AM
Just as a skillful soccer player knows when to run with the ball and when just to hold the ball, a skillful trader should know that there is no need to always trade, and the need to know when to trade, and when to just observe the market. knowing that can also help to improve the profit they make by reducing the losses they can make by trading at wrong times.

Another time to avoid trading is during holidays.
That is a good point, traders are used to take action whenever they see something happening on the market, so eventually this becomes their default reaction to anything, but this is a mistake, there are market conditions that should not be traded and the best thing you can do is to simply go out and do something you enjoy instead of staring at your screen, however for a trader this is something very difficult to do, so they will try to trade during those difficult market conditions and lose a lot of money they could have saved themselves by literally doing nothing.

That certainly covers a lot of ground in terms of trading. It does not imply that only one study has been done on it. Studying something you wish to know before is different. You'll put everything you've learned into practice. In other words, you haven't put what you've learned into practice.

What's more beneficial? Even though they have not yet studied what you have studied, others are already using what you have learned to their advantage. Because of this, folks who have studied or are studying trading are frequently the ones who eventually despise or give up. because they did not anticipate that trading would be difficult to comprehend and put into practice. No such passion exists.

414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: October 09, 2023, 10:19:31 AM
I am not a gambling addict but some friends are making me look like one because I gamble less and they gamble more, it all started when we got into an argument that investing in Bitcoin is not the same as gambling, my friends who are gamblers, not full-time but more of a gambler than I am, are claiming that there is no difference between investing and gambling, they said if all you doing is investing money on Bitcoin you are no different to those who are gambling in a casino.

Still, I refuse this because I believe they are wrong, Bitcoin market has charts and I am playing with charts even if I am a full-time Bitcoin trader, all I need to do is read charts, and if I am good at it I will win vs gambling, where it's you vs a company which we can never tell if their games are completely fair or not.

Furthermore, I told them that Bitcoin investors tend to get positive results, while online casino gamblers tend to get negative results more than positive result, true or false?

I asked them to show me prove that they make more from gambling than they lose, none of them showed me, but I prove to them that I hardly have losses investing in Bitcoin lol .

Famz, drop your opinion on this, would you categorize these two as gambling? Because the only winning factor from Bitcoin investment is to just buy low and wait for a high price, it's not the same with casinos. Am I not making sense? I will like to hear from you.

You know the truth: sometimes we don't notice that we have an addiction to our personalities; the only difference is that somehow we can still control our emotions. Maybe it's the same in your situation.

Then again, investment and gambling are not the same. In gambling, whether we accept it or not, we often just throw away money, even though to others it is just entertainment, a pastime, or just a pastime. Now, if we are lucky, thank you; it's that simple, right?
415  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Binance P2P Merchant Experience. Anyone? on: October 09, 2023, 10:09:57 AM
Pilipino ka pala. Been seeing you sa mga contest like Roobet. Anyway, na try ko before mag buy and sell before sa Binance nung last bull run pero like 20,000 php max per transaction lang.

Focus and discipline kailangan. Well kahit saan naman.

nito? Medyo nacurious lang ako pre.
416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it important to check addresses for AML before doing transactions with it? on: October 09, 2023, 09:56:52 AM
Well, I am just asking.

Do you consider this important? Usually when we request some payment in bitcoin, we don't care where those funds comes from. But what happens when some of us try to cash out that balance through some CEX to your bank account

I've readed histories here where people get their funds stuck for weeks or months and that would be frustatransing.

So again the question: Is it important to check addresses for AML before doing transactions with it?

Most of the AML checks services offer only a few checks per month, why?

Obviously if we don’t have any plan to cashout that balance we don’t care much about AML checks.

Is there some free unlimit service to check for AML?

What are your thoughts about this?

Regards!

If you transfer money from the CEX platform to your bank account, I think you will have a problem with the bank when the money from the CEX platform comes in. Because the bank may ask you where the money you entered from a centralized cryptocurrency exchange came from.

I have a friend who always does that, but later his bank account was suddenly put on hold because the bank saw that the money he was depositing came from the CEX platform. What's even worse is that they suddenly freeze your account. Even though my friend had documents to show, the bank still suspected him.
417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to know about Bitcoin Halving on: October 09, 2023, 09:44:59 AM
Since the majority of people are aware that when there is a halving, the community anticipates that there will be a significant increase in the value of Bitcoin by next year, now is our chance to perform the DCA while we are waiting for the halving to occur.

Additionally, it's feasible that a bull run will occur following the halving, although this will still depend on what transpires during these timeframes. There is also a risk that, as the halving draws to a close, there will already be a significant boost to Bitcoin's market value before the bull run actually occurs.
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In Case of Global Conflict, Is BTC The Best Alternative? on: October 09, 2023, 09:34:54 AM
If you yourself are in the country of Israel and that is the situation, then you have money in banks in that country. I think it is good to take your money out of the bank first, and to transfer your money from the bank, it is good to transfer it to Bitcoin, and then it's good to hold it long-term.

and while you are doing that, it is also better that you store it in hardware or electrum, because at least if it comes to the point of losing the internet connection there, your assets will be safe compared to your money in the bank. This is just my suggestion.
419  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession? How to face It? on: October 05, 2023, 09:49:26 AM

Since you are already anxious about this looming recession, you might as well be ready if it comes. There is so much bankcruptcy going on these days, people are losing jobs so it's best to be prepared. A plan B should be in place for you and for your family. There will be chaos actually, so it's best to be prepared when it comes to food security. Spend less as well.

Some are saying the recession is already here. If you haven't felt the prices going up yet, then maybe you are not buying your groceries yourself.

In reality, a country experiencing a recession is extremely concerning. Of course, those who are harmed are the poor, who have few sources of income and rely solely on the salary received from the company if they are employees.

What if you are not an employed and rely solely on side hustles or extra income? You then have a family and children to send to school. We should be prepared for such a situation, whether we realize it or not. The essential point is that we won't be concerned now that we're aware of the problem, right?
420  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: October 05, 2023, 09:39:59 AM
Economic and financial conditions are of course increasingly difficult to predict, many types of investments going bankrupt means we cannot depend on one or two types of investments, continuing to look for business and investment opportunities is important for our finances to continue to improve.

What investment do you really think is worth it today to look into that can guarantee a return? It is now as of bitcoin is more preferably better than all the available options, I don't think if anyone have invested any of the investments exclusive of bitcoin that has made a remarkable profit, it has been loses from different angles, we need more good investment securities because these ones are not making sense again.

In the time we are facing now, Bitcoin is not the only thing that can give us a return that is good. There is also something else in traditional business; even if it is only a small business, it can be grown as long as you are hardworking and patient and know how to manage the business correctly. you want at this time.
