I think that the match against Mainz could be a tough and close one for Dortmund next weekend. Because Mainz have performed much better than last season so far. They are only five points behind Dortmund. And Dortmund feel the absence of Haaland when it comes to being productive in scoring. They won against Augsburg the last time but it was by only one goal. Haaland makes a huge difference in terms of having a bigger goal difference. Maybe we won't see him again in this one but I still think they will win undoubtedly.

There is a Brentford - Chelsea match next week and it can be a really interesting one. Brentford are a new club around here but they started having good results lately. They stole a point against Liverpool by drawing with them 3-3. As Liverpoool are one of the strongest teams in the league now, Chelsea must be really careful or even more against Brentford. Chelsea defeated Southampton by a satisfying result and they'd like to maintain a win streak. I think each team will score and Chelsea will win again.
Chelsea are currently leading on the Premier League standings, and they have to win this match, in order to maintain their position. They are topping Liverpool with a point. Although, Liverpool have a tough match ahead of them, and have to be well prepared, they will face Manchester United in an away match. Chelsea shouldn't underrate Brentford, they should not expect an easy winning. Is a home match for Brentford, and that will boost their morale. I think that neither Chelsea players nor the manager Thomas Tuchel will make a big mistake by underestimating Brentford. Because Brentford have the potential of making the other teams surprised all the time. They did this to Liverpool indeed. That was a huge match and I guess that nobody thought about a score like this at the end of the match. I'll still be favoring Chelsea against Brentford though. |

Turkey missed a big opportunity to win and get ahead of Norway in the table. Norway were feeling the absence of Haaland and Sörloth but they still somehow succeeded in drawing with Turkey by 1-1. I really don't understand Turkey. They showed a very inconsistent performance all over the match. Sometimes they were really good but the other times they were just desperate. They can't win matches unless they get rid of this inconsistency. That was a fair result, if Norway wouldn't have too many important missing players we might watch a very different game. Norway still have to play with Netherlands so this draw is not the end of the world (cup) for Türkiye. We couldn't use Burak, wingers were below average, Hakan Çalhanoğlu didn't do much. I feel like there could be way better team to play with this squad but some player choices were very questionable. It's not up to Türkiye's performance now, they have to wait for others to make mistakes. This was an important match for Turkey to win but they just screwed it up. Norway weren't that good actually. It was just about how bad Turkey were. When it comes to Burak Yilmaz, I don't have much to say about him. He was just useless in this match. Like always, he was offside all the time and didn't contribute well to the team. I wish that Turkey had a much better and younger forward now. Things would have changed a lot in this situation. Because Burak is really inadequate when it comes to the national matches. |

This time, there is a speculation about a manager transfer for a Premier League team. Newcastle manager Steve Bruce expects to be sent away at the end of the season in the worst case. The Belgium - France match was really awesome last night. I was expecting a competitive match but this was really huge. Belgium ended the first half 2-0 ahead and they were expecting a comfortable victory. I came across this tweet at the end of the game and I laughed really hard.   It looks like one should never take something for granted before there is a certainty.  France made an insane comeback against Belgium and won by 3-2. They fully deserved to advance to the final round. |

Recently, Lille and Monaco finally have started climbing the positions in the standings one by one. They both have a 3-win streak now. Lille are the last champions and Monaco ended as the 3rd. It wouldn't be nice to see these teams struggling a lot this season. I hope that they can maintain their form and continue to get better. I would like to see them increasing the competition level even more.

Juventus - Roma is another match that will be a very exciting match after Lazio - Inter. Considering Juventus' recent form, we should be able to watch a very competitive match. Real Madrid president seems quite confident about signing Kylian Mbappe next summer. And he has the right to feel that way also. Because Kylian Mbappe wants to leave the team as soon as possible already and his dream team are also Real Madrid. And Real Madrid can actually sign him immediately in January also as far as I know. But I guess that they will have to pay a lot of money not to wait until the end of the season to bring him to the team. But it shouldn't be a problem for Real Madrid. The real problem is that there is a possibility like Manchester City can join the race to sign him also. However, I still think that Mbappe will choose Real Madrid.
As far as i know real madrid has a net debt of more than 600 M , which is more than the net debt of Barcelona. Kylian Mbappe has a market value of 160 M and i am pretty sure that Paris won't let him go in the winter for less than 100 M even if his contract expires only 6 months later. I see no possibility whatsoever for real madrid to pay a high transfer fee like that while they are having such a high net debt even though they have never really cared to much about their debts in the past. I also hope that players also consider stuff like that in their decision making and that they choose financially stable and responsible clubs like ManCity or Bayern Munich over clubs like Real. Real Madrid would be in really huge debt if they do so. And actually, I believe that they are not in need of him a lot now. Because Benzema is already performing superbly when it comes to scoring and contributing to the team in many ways too. In the end, they are still dependent on Benzema and that's why they want to sign a top striker immediately. Spain got a very deserved win against Italy I think. I really wasn't expecting them to play this good and suppress their opponent. Italy got an early red card and it made things even much more difficult for them. Spain scored the second goal right before the end of the first half and it was the sign that Italy were finished. Italy somehow managed to decrease the score difference to one in the 83rd minute. But still, Spain secured the 2-1 win and advanced to the final.

Chelsea's performance in this season far is the most attracting incident for me. They are the leading club in the table and their consistency is just great. I know that they lost to Manchester City and Juventus respectively but even those games ended with a 1-0 result. Chelsea are the most successful team when it comes to conceding only few goals. When they aren't able to score many, they don't let their opponent do so too. I wonder when they will get a huge defeat. Because I want to see if they will be able to bounce back from a huge defeat easily.

Sheriff Tiraspol have drawn the attention of all people by the results they have gotten so far in their group matches. Who would have thought that they would play this smart and win both of their first two matches? I can get the win against Shakhtar by 2-0 as it was a home match and Shakhtar weren't in a very ideal shape. But the win against Real Madrid even away was just something else. I don't know how but they managed to defeat Real Madrid by 2-1 even though their competitor was completely dominating the match. It was like a miracle for them. I can't wait to watch their next match vs Inter.
For the most part, Sheriff won the match against Real Madrid because of the hosts poor shape... For some reason the major Spanish teams have been playing very poorly this Champions League season! Inter are not in the best position either and they need this win against a Moldovan club, which is now in first place in the group! In less than three weeks, we are going to have a huge match between Barcelona and Real Madrid in Camp Nou. We should take something into account also that Inter couldn't defeat Lazio in their last two head-to-head matches (1 draw and 1 loss). As Lazio are in a decent shape, this might be another very tough match for Inter. But winning this kind of matches is the most important thing for big teams like these actually. Because they prove themselves much better about their being very serious in the current season. And these matches can change everything in terms of the title race too.
