401  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why it's so hard to rank-up? on: July 16, 2022, 02:36:22 PM
Sorry if I have to play the little devil here but were you expecting to get attention and fish for merits from making this post? You only needed a few more to rank up to full member after all. No offense.
Sure it is, but looking at my history I already made topics here before and I'm still motivated to have more.
Just like what I've said in OP, I'm trying to be more active and be more helpful as much as possible. Smiley

Seriously, my purpose for this topic is to give tips to a newbie not to do the same mistakes I made, I didn't realize it will back-fire at me but I'm always welcome for this kind of comments. Will surely learn from this.
402  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why it's so hard to rank-up? on: July 16, 2022, 02:21:14 PM
What does good opportunity you refer? are you mean a signature campaign?
Yes, since signature campaign requires quality poster and if you are still not ok most probably it will be hard to land some task here.

Bear market is bad for bounty hunters but it is good time for builders. You can start to change yourself, learn more and build your account in bear market. You don't have to make an announcement that "I am changing myself". Just do it silently and people will realize your positive changes. Merit will come after a while.
Made a good point here, we should really work in silence and let the result speaks for ourselves.
Mistakes are already part of our life and what matters here, is what you will do to make things better. This will motivates me to be better at my chosen field. Appreciate this mate.
403  Other / Beginners & Help / Why it's so hard to rank-up? on: July 16, 2022, 01:59:35 PM
Higher rank means good opportunities here in the forum, but why its so hard to rank up?
Here's what I realized for almost 5 years here in the forum and still at a lower rank.

1. You can't please everybody here - Even if you create a good topic, you can't expect everyone to appreciate your work and probably will receive little to none merit since we all have different standards and qualifications before we gave out merit.

2. Being Inactive - Don't expect to rank up if you are not active especially on making good contents. I have my busy days and really not active but when I do have a task here, I always make sure to qualify for that but again, that's not enough.

3. Limited Knowledge - You can't share what you don't have, and making good topics here requires a good knowledge especially topics about helping people or a guidelines.

To cut this story short, if you really want to rank up and have a good reputation just do the opposite, stay active, learn more and expect nothing.
These are my mistakes, and I hope you won't do the same so you can be more successful here. Right now, I'm only learning with my experience and hopefully I can give something more helpful in the future.

404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: In the next couple of years you will regret not taking bitcoin ✈️ flight on: July 16, 2022, 12:43:14 PM
A lot of shit coins out there have deceived people in cryptocurrency instead of them putting everything into Bitcoin they chose to was resources on shit coins and other stock, this set of people will regret not puttin100% into Bitcoin give them the next 5 years from now a lot will regret not getting on board on totality.
Bitcoin is not the only good coin here, we can have a lot of good choices here and seriously many are making more money with the altcoins compare to Bitcoin.

I understand that Bitcoin is the king, but you should not go all in because that is more risky. If you believe on Bitcoin then so be it, but personally I will still choose to diversify.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 10, 2022, 10:58:25 AM
After all, Magsayo lost, well, I was sure that he won on points Smiley, but of course the last decision is up to the judges, it's a shame, but I hope there will be a rematch.
Magsayo still did a great a job despite of the decision, I just loss a bet but I do hope for a rematch because we witnessed a great match up, its just that Vargas is too much for Magsayo, but who knows maybe because of this loss Magsayo will train harder to reclaim the belt. This loss left the Philippines without a world champion, I hope our boxer will have a good fight again.
406  Economy / Gambling / Re: What makes you hide your bets in public? on: July 08, 2022, 04:45:21 AM

How about you guys, what makes you hide your bets and/or what makes you show it to the World?

I'm just a small bettor who usually follow the odds, so I don't see any urgency for me to hide my bets and identity, beside its just a username which still makes me private gambler. If you value your strategy or what, its ok to hide your bets if that makes you more comfortable but some site don't have this kind of feature I guess, that's why many are still showing their names and it is still fine with them.
407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things to do to keep Bitcointalk safe and to improve its reputation on: July 03, 2022, 10:45:57 AM
Below are some highlighted points I think are important in keeping the forum safe.

1:- Provide accurate solutions to problems/questions
2:- Help to report scammers and Cheaters
3:- Help by documenting Bitcointalk.org on YouTube and other websites.
4:- Help to report shit posts and plagiarism.
5:- Give Tutorials and updates on the Trading and Technical aspects of Bitcoin.
Someone is already doing this but since there's a lot of users here, it's really good to have more sources especially on giving tips on how to become more successful in crypto market and here in the forum. We should all serve our own purpose, though everyone is welcome here especially to those who wants to learn more about cryptocurrency. This is indeed a good suggestion, I hope to find my purpose here as well.

409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Beware]New scammer scheme using exchange on: July 02, 2022, 10:43:13 PM
Yea, often in Telegram I received such as DM. I think whoever use Telegram and added on any crypto group experienced the same. They are very clever and intelligent to turn your mind. So those who aren't familiar with such scams would fall into the trap. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Hope newbies will take a lesson and save their assets.
This is not a new anymore, you can easily block those users but of course expect to receive more since scammers are everywhere and they can easily bypass the system of Telegram.

Unfortunately, newbies are more prone to this since they don't analyze that much this is why its necessary to invest on knowledge first before putting any money on this market. Scammer will always find a new way to scam the investors always be careful.
410  Other / Meta / Re: Enforce “grammarly ” like score minimum to post.. on: June 26, 2022, 12:01:51 AM
Is the grammar important or it's ok if its not Grammarly correct as long as you deliver the message and the readers understand it?

I know this is a good suggestion but I can't imagine how much work for this one especially on creating this kind of tools here on the forum. If you are not confident about your English, you can always google to correct your grammar and I think this can work only if the user are willing to do it first before posting here in the forum.

English is not the main language of many, let's appreciate those who are posting quality messages despite of the language barriers.
411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ranking up is possible! 2900 Merits earned in less than 12 months! My 11 Hints! on: June 24, 2022, 07:07:50 AM
Different ways are the key. You don't have to walk in my footsteps (something I can't particularity suggest for you)  if you aren't keen on working on knowledge.
If you look closely at my history anyway you'ěll find that I spent many months on the forum almost inactive. Only later, once I found the way to contribute to the community, did that meriting start happening.

Having that unique contribution to this forum really pays off, and you really deserve that.

I'm still learning and still having a hard time ranking up, it looks like I'll stay as a Member rank forever but I'm not giving up.
I'm starting to look for articles and will share it on our local, so at least we can have good topics there.

Well, I hope my time will come since being a Member and below here, can't barely accept on a BTC signature campaign. Thank you for this inspiration filippone!
412  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking Loans - Is it ideal? on: June 21, 2022, 07:55:48 AM
Taking loans is good if you are responsible enough to repay it, but if you think you can't better not to apply at all.
If you're responsible enough to repay the loan, you're already have money at the beginning and you didn't need to take a loan lol. The reason why many people taking a loan is they didn't have any money while their needs or desire force them to do that. They're already calculate how much the profit and how long they can pay, but many scenarios goes wrong and they're begging to their parents or families to repay their loan.
Not necessarily, being responsible doesn't mean you have the money already especially if you are depending on your other source of income that may come along the road. Technically, this is just an advance money as a loan so you can use it and catch up the trend. Even rich people have their own loans, if you’re wise enough you can multiply this money with your own strategies.
413  Other / Beginners & Help / Taking Loans - Is it ideal? on: June 21, 2022, 05:32:27 AM
I have a friend who are keep on asking me if taking loans just to buy Bitcoin is ideal thing to do so?
I understand the market is very cheap right now, and because of this I just want to share some tips especially to those newbies who are also considering the same thing.

Before you apply for a loan make sure to consider this first.

1. How much money you can afford to take the risk?
2. Is the profit enough to repay the loan, is there any guarantee?
3. Can you still repay the loan even if the market continues to drop?
4. Is your collateral enough to cover your loans?
5. Are you confident about your investment decision?

These are the common questions for myself before taking loan for the purpose of reinvesting, I know this can be a good opportunity to increase your holdings but if you don't have the funds yet, better not to rush yourself and just wait for the right moment. Taking loans is good if you are responsible enough to repay it, but if you think you can't better not to apply at all.
414  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ang nakaambang pag ban ng Binance sa pinas on: June 16, 2022, 07:32:16 AM
Binance already response to this, kahit na hinde pa nila natatanggap yung formal letter.
They are willing to cooperate and as per them, license is already on their way as they continue to partner with other businesses dito sa Pinas.
415  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / REVIVING THE CHARITY PROGRAM on: June 10, 2022, 12:39:04 PM
Pandemic is still here, natural calamities are unpredictable and being a country prone to typhoon many Filipinos still needs our help and the previous Charity was a great success despite of what happened. Maybe this is the best time to move on and start over again?

Do you agree on reviving the Charity program but with a great system and a foreign escrow?

What will you suggest para mas maging effective ang Charity program this time?
Sa tingin nyo mayroon pang magtitiwala na magdonate dito sa Program na ito?

This is open for feedback and suggestion, especially kung sino ang magmamanage ng Charity Program this time.
I think we can still trust the previous organizer as long as may system na sila especially on recording transactions and distribution of goods.
416  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another warning for every NEWBIE! on: May 31, 2022, 12:45:43 PM
just in the case of Luna, i so much believed many have concluded on their extent of research to be satisfactory before this happened, now its setting in another second wave, yet many will still go for it, taking risk is the whole talks in altcoins which doesn't really worth it.
If they have perform research via Luna they would have comprehend it's volatility before investing in them, actually risk ia real provided that cryptocurrency remain in existence, I'm not condemning the fact of investing with cryptocurrency especially in altcoins, but before investing in any altcoins a proper research have to be done perfectly to avoid investment funds not to be useless or waste. Investment is good for coin that is propagating by having a support.
Most probably they get hyped when you are invest carelessly, you might ended up on a project like this though no one expect the value of LUNA to be totally like this, this is indeed unpredictable. Look at the fork right now, if you are still buying this project better to analyze again your portfolio because it may not healthy anymore especially the new LUNA, too risky to buy. This is a warning for everyone, and you can also apply this to other project.

Since you brought up Luna I thought it was Luna related but you just repeated what everyone else has said a million times. A better warning would have been to avoid centralized altcoins with no purpose such as Luna that try to fool people into thinking that they are useful, stable, offer this and that utility, etc. while they remain useless and their price can dump significantly simply because they have no value.
Avoiding centralized altcoins might be hard since some of them are still in a good shape, it's actually hard to predict stable coin especially if someone holds them a big portion of that coin and he can easily drop his holdings just like what happened with LUNA. This is not about the progress or update about LUNA but this one is the bad result of manipulators, many lose a lot of money.
419  Other / Beginners & Help / Another warning for every NEWBIE! on: May 17, 2022, 12:23:03 PM
I know most of us here already knew what happened to $LUNA but for the sake of beginners, I want to reiterate and give a warning about investing and going all in on this market.

I saw a post online in our local group about money investing and he shared his experience their about losing all his life saving money because of $LUNA investment, this is very heart breaking and that guy really want to end his life which I hope he wont do it. This is why I want to list some of the reminders about crypto investment and I hope every beginners here won't do the same mistake.

CRYPTO INVESTING - SHORT REMINDER

1. DON'T USE YOUR SAVINGS FOR YOUR INVESTMENT ACTIVITIES - Use your separate funds if you are going to invest on any market and make sure that you are ready to lose that money because investing is not a guaranteed way to make profit, so have some funds for this.

2. DON'T BORROW MONEY - Many still do the same mistake like this and when the market turns to negative, they are also drowning and the situation will get worst simply because they use the money which is not them. If you want to become profitable, save for your capital first.

3. DON'T BE GREEDY - If you already lose money, you should stop for a while and study again so you can know what's wrong with your strategy and start analyzing again so you can do better next time.

This is just a short reminder since I want to highlights the important things you need to know before investing.
There's a lot of news about suicide incidents because of losing money on their investments, and I don't want you to ended up on the same path so please do your own research first and again invest only what you can afford to lose.
420  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Russia isn't using it's full force in Ukraine ? tactically .. on: May 15, 2022, 11:54:45 PM
Because it doesn't make sense for them to use so many resources against a country like Ukraine. It would be like killing a cockroach with a bazooka, it makes no sense.
Because other countries will take action against them and they might lose a lot of resources if they go all in with Ukraine. Russia knows that this is a long war so technically they are preserving their army for a bigger purposes. Let’s hope that Russia will take all out against Ukraine, because for sure Ukraine can’t handle it.
