401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen when the 21M bitcoin will be minned on: October 21, 2013, 01:31:14 PM
ASIC will be used to mine Alt-coin. Then more and more Alt-coin will be in the market by that time..

But I'm glad to be a part of this forum!

I've been into bitcoin for over a year now, even though I've heard about it longer ago than that. Sadly, I didn't buy a bigger amount for cheaper then.

I have written about crypto coin in my tech blog: http://www.eyalo.com/379/bitcoin/

And am always glad to learn new things about the subject.

Thanks!  Smiley

Nice blog, continue to add more content..
409  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Faulty Card RMA'ing on: October 21, 2013, 01:34:17 AM
So it turns out that my Powercolor 7970 is most certainly faulty.
My question now is what should I tell powercolor in the RMA, how can I prove that the card is broken?
I doubt that I can just say that it doesn't mine correctly, and it does work fine most of the time when gaming...

Thanks a lot!

Can you explain how faulty is it when it come to mining?

Just added the signature and post count is currently 10.

I'm going to continue to have this signature for like 3-4 months Smiley
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 280X or HD 7970 on: October 21, 2013, 01:20:56 AM
I think the R9 280X is going to dethrone the 7950 as the go too Altcoin card. I hope with tweaking it will get 800Khs. I've been able to get 750khs per GPU on a 7990, but the cooling was holding the card from going above 1500.  I got one on order and will see how things go

Why not wait for R9 290x?

What about Australia, no body seems to care about the coin.

414  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Guy! Hello on: October 21, 2013, 12:59:36 AM
Good luck mining! I felt I missed that boat and was better off just buying and trading, since pre-orders are so speculative (and frankly, scammy). Anyway, welcome to bitcointalk - glad to have you here in our community!

Yeah read about the pre-order horror stories.  I bought what was in stock and could be delivered right away.  I don't think I would ever do a pre-order.   It would have been nice to start mining a couple years ago,  but its not too bad mining different alt coins and trading for BTC.

Can you give us suggestions what is the best miner available now? I'm also interested in mining.

I believe there is none, but the best way to profitable might be just buying Bitcoin and keep.

Hey BitcoinTalk Community.

New here,  Hope to learn lots from you all.    Heard about Bitcoin about a year or so ago.   I started mining  about 3 months ago give or take.   Looking to learn more  and maybe help someone out along the way.

Thanks for listening  Grin

I gave up mining too. Its like a never break-even game.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Litecoin hit $1000 will Bitcoin survive? on: October 21, 2013, 12:38:14 AM
Anything is possible, please share your idea Smiley

Possible but almost impossible. Impossible for Litecoin to even hit $100 Smiley

419  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: my first topic and its about me on: October 20, 2013, 03:50:04 PM
got into bitcoin recently after brushing it off all this time... my timing seems to be good as i started buying massive amounts of coins after silk road fell. just now realizing how cool this stuff is and what i've been missing out on.  there are some great people on this forum too.

The silkroad fell was really a great opportunity to enter into the market. Sold my Bitcoin and waiting for another crash.
420  Other / Beginners & Help / Hi, I'm new here. on: September 19, 2013, 07:02:00 AM
I've been looking into bitcoin for about a couple months. I have been wanting to get into mining
as a hobby however, I do not have the resources to mine at the moment. I am here to learn more
about bitcoin and its future also to find ways to earn bitcoin by some other methods instead of
purely hardware.
