401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins is a good way to keep and save money or not? on: November 15, 2022, 10:16:29 PM
Stablecoins are only good to use for trading. No good to hold.
We all saw with UST, so basically stable coins are very risky business as they can also be dumped and its price flushed down. Even though many stablecoins claim to be pegged to the dollar itself, the amount locked to back the number in stablecoin can only go as much. So, in case, I do not use stablecoins and If I need to trade I'll trade my crypto for the real dollar
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I mine? on: November 15, 2022, 10:07:30 PM
I'm thinking of putting my GPUs to work once again but still dunno what to mine. I already dropped by What to mine and checked that Ravencoin could be a could pick. But I'm still thinking I could go with Eth classic.

Considering that there is no more ethereum to mine what are you guys now mining, or what do you guys think it would be the best to hoard and then wait for a good price upon the next bull market?
Bitcoin I guess would be the best coin to mine. I haven't done mining because electricty in my country is expensive and I'm a bit worried that things won't work as planned. But my friend tried mining Bitcoin, he's quite earning decent but hesitated to tell me exactly how much is the net profit from doing so. But given that it worked for him. Also GPU had an increase in its market price the time I planned to start which again, forced me to postpone my plan. So I'm suggesting Bitcoin still. In the first place it has the highest chance to get a price increase once the bullish trend start. Major coins would be the best picks in my own opinion. But as other users have mention raven coin is indeed  good coin to mine, will be vouching for it as well.

Bitcoin's mining difficulty is through the rough and mining it with a GPU rig would be insane. So I guess that it would be better to have a Bitcoin Node simply by the stake of supporting the network than mining Bitcoin with GPUs.

Thing is you would have to have an insane amount of GPU rigs to make some bitcoin out of it
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: METAMASK TOKEN BIGGEST AIRDROP EVER! on: November 15, 2022, 09:18:26 PM
It seems that there is in fact an ongoing Metamask Airdrop on ICODrops

Users need to enable swap function on the metamask wallet to be eligible for the Airdrop,

Can't say that the ICO is set to be started soon, as it still doesn't have any data on the upcoming ICO.

That is called LUCK! Itt seems that you had it as you ended up earning it simply by mistake which is kinda amazing. Conglatulations on that as if you wanted to earn and were doing everything you can you would probably not have won.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Cristiano Ronaldo partners with Binance on: November 15, 2022, 03:05:15 PM
it looks like Cristiano Ronaldo has just signed a partnership with Binance to have his own NFT collection starting from November 18.

https://twitter.com/Cristiano/status/1592520297290551308?t=hSxjM5-L-rlTKnYICqeEPQ&s=19

Binance is hitting strong the Footbal industry and already counts with several partnerships with many prominent players as well as Football clubs. This is good news for the industry as it brings a lot more visibility to cryptos.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question to players: what does really drive you crazy in an online casino? on: November 14, 2022, 09:44:52 PM
The thing that bothers me the most is when Casinos have all sort of impositions for us to withdraw our money. I also do not like those promotions that they usually have that have thousands of requirements to meet before we can actually withdraw something.

I understand that Casinos need to protect against people who prey on promotions but they should at least make the process easier for a normal player to collect his winnings
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I mine? on: November 14, 2022, 09:41:33 PM
That's actually the two coins that I am seeing when I check GPU mining groups, it's either ravencoin or ETC that they're mining.

They might be not profitable as of now but since the technique is just to mine, sustain and hold until the next bull run. I guess that you'll be doing the right thing of mining any of the two.

Yeah, much like I've thought. Eth Classic and Ravencoin may not be profitable to mine right now, but I guess it is a good bet as they will certainly rise in value in the next cycle.
Guess, I'll keep it to Raven half month and the other half I'll mine Eth classic

409  Economy / Economics / Re: Has the popularity of bitcoins reduced interest of people in stocks? on: November 14, 2022, 05:56:20 PM
As long as there is money to be made, speculators will always be interested. Stocks will always be popular among speculators as well as Bitcoin as it is a pretty volatile asset with lots of potential for experienced investors. They will invest in Bitcoin as in other assets without even having to bother knowing the technical and philosophical assumptions behind it. As with any other asset, stocks have been more popular than they are these days, but even so, they are still quite popular. And guess what; they treat bitcoin as if it was a stock, so in a way, Bitcoin has become a new stock-like asset for speculators.

All speculators care about is profit, so if there is money to be made, they will drop in, regardless if it is popular or not. And in fact, that is how they make money, by diving into an "asset" when it is still not popular.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is about to pump on: November 14, 2022, 04:09:45 PM
My Words to you Dear Crypto Trader/Investors

If you missed the dotcom bubble of 2000, this crypto bubble is your chance now.

...

.Never been more long term bullish on crypto/NFT tech.

The future is ALMOST upon us !!..

Cheers and stay plugged in so much money to be made this Nov/Dec even 2023 and beyond !!

For sure, the future is upon us. However, how are you so sure the market is about to pump? I mean, I am also long-term bullish on cryptos and I would love to see it part from all this bloodshed that has been going on

At least it seems that we are hitting a bottom for Bitcoin, so that can be a sign that the Bear market is coming to an end. But that doesn't mean that we will see a bull market right after. Rather than that, I do believe that we may now be diving into a long accumulation period and some spikes here and then might happen.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are going to realize the same thing about BNB and it makes me sick. on: November 14, 2022, 12:13:52 PM
There are two ways CZ'z story can play out. I personally do not go with your version of the story. CZ already showed, for many times, to be very transparent and always comply with everything related to regulation. So, it wouldn't be that good for him if things went bad with BNB and Binance. If you think about it, ETH and BNB became much alike right after the merge, and they are now the main industry leaders.

Regardless of what anyone can say, centralized shitcoins have helped Cryptos hit the spotlight. So, today, we may have the industry overrun by shitty Cex'es and centralized shitcoins, but they have been crucial for the development of the industry.

There's always more than one way of doing things. So, what we need to learn from this is that there will always be the centralized version, but there is also the decentralized version and people are free to go for the one they believe the most. Of course, that for those who are conscientious of what the real value of cryptocurrency and the technology is, they will keep supporting the decentralized way, so both ways will have to co-exist and pick the best from one another.
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: thank god for bringing btc back in 2018. on: November 14, 2022, 11:41:03 AM
Thank you for driving away all the sellers of smoke and speculators. Thank you for demonstrating the reality of a market that is for all the voiceless in the world. You must be happy, you got your big fiat reward after speculating with BTC. Thanks to all who made this technically possible, those who maintain the network and who have created wonderful things these last 4 years. They worked twice as hard thinking btc would get to 100k (not saying it won't get there) you have left us wonderful things for crypto.

I hope it goes down even more, how happy I am every time I will be able to get some btc at a fair price.

Bitcoin is going to that special price right on time for Christmas. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone who is trying to get into Bitcoin. I guess that we won't be seeing this kind of price so soon. I do believe that it will not go as 10 to 12K and that is where I'm waiting to do some action and get some sale bitcoins.

If you were waiting for the perfect time to get into BTC, the time is now!
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN created by NSA & Promoted by BIS since 1997; Trust Seriously U R Joking? on: November 13, 2022, 11:28:21 PM
Anyone can come here and post whatever they like. But making claims like these without any kind of evidence to present is simply posting spam... Besides, this is simply a conspiracy theory with no sense whatsoever...

So do you have any proof for such claims? Can you present anything noteworthy to this matter that can prove your claims right?

International Outsourcer Company Studying Crypto Incentives Program

I work in a renowned International Outsourcer company also operating in my country, which I will not mention due to a “Non-Disclosure Agreement” issue; this same Outsourcer recently started a survey in order to try to understand the knowledge and interest of its employees about Cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology. One of the central ideas related to this initiative will be the possibility of putting in place an incentive program and extra bonuses for its employees delivered in the form of crypto assets. The good news is that, apparently, the industry is expanding significantly, and even the corporate world is starting to wave their hand on to the cryptocurrency universe.

Have any of you, in your companies, already addressed the topic of crypto assets\cryptocurrencies?

417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Vitalik is becoming the face for regulation over cryptos... on: November 13, 2022, 01:55:52 PM
Vitalik just gave his view on the FTX issue and makes a bold cooperation with MTGox on a Twitter post

He also made a point regarding CEX's and DEX's where we can check his discourse is blinded by the concept of centralization. He argues that "the two act as a substitute for some kind of service. He noted that while DEXs can be used for cross-crypto trading, custody, and even leverages, they are currently unable to “function as a fiat-crypto gateway."

This is basically saying that DEX's rely on centralized services to fulfil the interests of the network which is basically that there is no decentralization without a centralized aspect to have it functional...

Well, IMHO, the guy represents regulatory pressure; his mind and position are already clouded by a centralized vision of crypto networks to avoid things such as what happened with FTX. Ok, so yeah, I can actually understand that regulation can bring more security to the user, but at what cost??? and where the decentralization concept fits within this matter??? We already saw how Eth went... I see this as a dangerous discourse and total support to pave the way to get all cryptos (including BTC) under a POS rule.

Am I crazy, or is this what actually going on?
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 13, 2022, 01:36:42 PM
both teams have the same match record this season. both have 27 points from 14 matches, 8 won, 3 draws, and 3 lost. it is very difficult to predict the victory of this match. both are in not-so-good form from the results of their last match. Freiburg is playing at home, they have the advantage mentally. but Union not be considered weak. they were pretty good at the start of the season and Freiburg should anticipate the Union front line.
I will look at the odds for Union, if it matches I will probably bet on Union.

This time Freiburg will be up against a Union Berlin side with a lot to highlight about them this season. Union Berlin has a strong defense led by a very impressive Danilho Doekhi and a player from Holland, Sheraldo Becker, who is able to defend the defense solidly. Union Berlin and Freiburg have the same points, so this match will determine who will stay in the top 3 of the standings and who will drop down the standings.

TEAM News
- Kimberly Ezekwem is out with a muscle problem, while Manuel Gulde and Jonathan Schmid are both struggling with muscle injuries.
- Roland Sallai put on a mask to play after surgery on his eye socket, while Daniel-Kofi Kyereh battled a cold.
- With matches getting packed and fast-paced, coach Urs Fischer will have to see how his team reacts to a draw in midweek.
He will continue to play without goalkeeper Frederik Rønnow who is out with a muscle problem and Andras Schafer who is battling a foot problem.
- Rani Khedira was suspended after picking up five yellow cards.

I call it a Draw!

The most likely scenario for this match will be Friburg not winning.
It is true that the home club is confident because it has its associative mass on its side, however, Union Berlin has been doing quite well, and most of the results have been positive.
It should be noted that the outsiders account for seven wins in the last ten performances. Thus, it is expected that Union Berlin will enter quite confident and end up winning, at least, a draw.

420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important are exchanges? on: November 13, 2022, 12:53:04 PM
Bitcoins can exist without exchanges, but would you support the argument that the existence of exchanges are among the factors facilitating the popularity and accessibility that people have to bitcoins?

Of course, Bitcoins can exist without exchanges but there will always be the need of transacting coins and exchanges are a crucial part of that process. The thing is, that we should not rely upon centralized exchanges to do the bidding. We should only support decentralized exchanges because it takes out the equation of having the risk of your coins being stuck with the centralized exchange and therefore be possible of being captive by regulatory imposition.

We should avoid having coins in centralized exchanges and keep supporting the development of decentralized options to transact.
