"Exception Edinburgh, United Kingdom    05/12/2013    8:11   Adverse weather conditions"

Apologies for the bother, but is it possible to get tracking numbers for the packages ?

+ 1 tracking would be nice. Would not want to miss the delivery man  Grin

Give time for tracking, check out the UPS website for delivery times. Depending on which one Bitman use Max Delivery will be Monday, Earliest Thursday and Save Option was arriving on Friday and that was delivery to UK.

I'm sure Sushi will update us tonight or in the morning. At least we know our miners have been sent Smiley

Thanks
411  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain AntMiner S1 Setup on: December 03, 2013, 06:43:12 PM
Hi Dogie,

Needing some help with the power setup.

Gonna use this power supply you think it will be good enough to power 2 blades ?

I have already got
4pin ATX cables cut, That could power 1 blade

I also have 1x 6pin with link from first to another 6pin

I noticed in your photos you have 4 yellow and 4 black, I only have 3 and when you have a 8pin extender you still have only got 3 yellow.

Just wondering what extender I need to get for my current 6Pin and if 3 yellow cables and 3 black would work from the current setup ?

So blade 1 would get the 4pin cables
Blade 2 would get the 6pin

Would that work ?

Cheers

Great guide as always just wondering I blew 2x 650W on overclock tonight, each cube had 650w PSU, I could smell almost like burning plastic for a while but I thought it was just the new cubes but came home tonight and found both cubes had turned off and PSU's totally not turning back on.

They were decent Cool Master PSU's with 25A

Just wondering why they blew.

Also can you suggest a good PSU that could be used for many cubes ? Is it possible to use the Sata to 6 Pin adapters ?

Thanks
Can you link me to the exact PSU? Seems strange that they would be rated at 650W when only able to provide 300W on 12V rails.

Anything Corsair, you'll pay 10% more but get a big warranty and know exactly what you're getting. The 800W one I recommended is exactly what you'll need to run two off one PSU. You can't use sata to 6 pin adapters, SATA connectors are only rated for 25-35W. If you mean molex to 6 pin adapters then I'd still say no unless you use a dual molex to 6 pin adapter.

A molex could cope with 75W 24/7 - not 150W.

Hi, PSU 1 was Cooler Master RP-650-PCAP PSU was Power Cool PC-650AUBA-M - Both PSU blew on overclock setting with nothing else plugged into them. I was looking to see if there was some kind of server PSU maybe that you screw the wires into and they can power maybe 2 - 4 Cubes at a time. I have seen people in China doing this but don't know the PSU are using. Okay fair enough with the SATA, I have seen dual molex to 6pin but tbh if the PSU already has enough 6pin cables no point putting the others under strain. I can't seem to find that PSU mentioned anywhere in the UK Sad

Evening folks got some good news and bad news, good that they arrived today and all are working fine. Bad news is that it's not the right qty I was after.

There seems to be a mistake in the shipping of how many was needed and only have received 5 rather than the 15, They might come maybe tomorrow I dunno as I was given 1 tracking number.

Will need to contact the supplier but since it's now friday I won't get a reply till Monday Sadly.

It's going to make it a pain for me to a group sale for everyone as I have got 5 units 2 are which are already sold.

I think the best option would be to auction these off and raise funds for my batch#2

I know many people will be angry with me but nothing much I can do about it till monday.

I have 2 hashing away fine but can't seem to run on high on the 750w just cuts out, other is running on the 650w

anyway here are my photos:

Update:

My cubes were picked up from Hong Kong on Monday, but tracking has not been updated since. Could be that they just haven't been scanned along the way. I've got DHL tracking them down right now and should have an update within the next 4 hours.

Mine were also sent on Monday and tracking just updated the now so hopefully you get an update soon.
