How can you estimate (calculate) the current network size?
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: August 13, 2015, 06:01:48 PM
Such an interesting novelty coin, why is it continuously dropping in price?

Because of the idiots like Elmit above^^

I am sure you heard that already:
When pointing the finger at somebody, three fingers point back to yourself!

I am not aware that I should have to do something with the price drop. I would rather look for faults and improve.

YES, BURST has great features, great future, but only a few people know, should know, ... keep it a secret.
Create a big PR team and make some single days a promotion and then nothing for a while, a longer while, ... a very long while !!!
The big excuses, a guy ran away with the funds. Give me a break!
PR is not about a single action, not about one guy and 20 bystanders. It should be a coordinated team work. Maybe too young and inexperienced team. Maybe tactic change would be something to improve: promote POSITIVES and not what you personally don't like.

Example:
Crowdfunding. Nobody knows about it, except some people here. Google for it and get the gaining proof of it by yourself.
Or look at the page http://localhost:8125/atcrowdfund.html - click on Active and see for yourself: two projects, whereby one is just a "test" Huh
You cannot find the page http://localhost:8125/atcrowdfund.html Huh Thats what was not possible to implement the last 6 months or so?
DaWallet could do that in a few days in his Windows clone. So it must be possible.

Lottery. Go to another secret page: http://localhost:8125/atlotteries.html
NOTHING there! Have you heard about something? Twitter, Facebook, other social media? A banner ad? NO?

AT has so much potential, but nobody knows.

But we hear all the time, a big improvement will come soon. Look at the calendar: Easter is a long time over, no eggs yet found.

A few try to promote though, like me. I try to make a complete list of pools, ... Immediately ATTACKs from headache.

I get even anonymous "support tickets" to my company. The writer uses the anonymous way, to make sure I cannot write back! Afraid?

When I write here, within minutes my pool will be attacked. We have measurements in place to avoid harms. It is just funny that the pool can work weeks without any disturbance and then within a few minutes after posting here, attacks start again. Coincidence? It is really low level!!! Not much harm, since the BURST price gone down anyway, right? My investors of a couple of PetaBytes on hard disk space are gone!

Lets see if the final tests of today will make a difference. If we can enjoy tomorrow new feature, something new to promote. Well, who will promote?

Will you? I mean YOU, YOU and YOU? Will you promote this new (yet unknown) thing tomorrow? I will!

14 of the past 31 (131,213 ~ 131,243) blocks were won by bin/laden. Two more and he got more than 50%.

Seems he will be able to change the coin's future soon, ...

I thought we will get a birthday surprise, but it seems the surprise is another "delay"

Hopefully worth to wait for.

headache, the pool list is alphabetical, not in size, ... I am sure you just hit the wrong key!

burst.ninja: 1,752GB/miner

If you would use the ACTIVE miners, instead of the REGISTERED miners, the number would be even higher!!
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: August 13, 2015, 03:36:02 AM
Elmit, Elmit, Elmit,

Your posting/spam storm got me to un-iggy you to see what crap you were spewing this time around.

So it's about how awesome your pool is - 366 Miners!! Number #2 Mining Pool! Wow! Awesome!

But lets look at some of the stats:

Payouts over the last 24 hours:
mininghere.com: 366 miners, 8806 burst payout. Average of 24 Burst/miner.
ninja.pool: 388 miners, 73,416 burst payout (for a 14 hour period). On average 324/burst miner.

Estimated Capacity:
mininghere.com: 8806 earned = 48TB.
burst.ninja: 73,416 earned (in 14 hours) = 397 TB
Extrapolating to a 24 hour period: 125,856 burst = 680 TB

So, working backwards:

mininghere: 130GB/miner
burst.ninja: 1,752GB/miner

So, mininghere.com - the preferred pool of mining bots everywhere ........

Now lets talk about your "asset" Petabyte. You're selling a Petabyte of storage, but you have maybe 40 TB?

So an asset that costs at your list price of 400,000 burst, earns 185 burst/month ... will only take 180 years to break even .....

Elmit, please leave and stop polluting the Burst community that actually want this coin to go somewhere.

1. for this that you "ignore" me, you are reading fast!!

2. however, reading seems not be your strength, or did you miss the first line:
Are there other pools available?

3. By not answering the question YOU are the spammer.

4. Unlike you guys, I DO MAKE ADVERTISEMENTS / PR for BURST

5. The purpose of my statistic page is to make it complete, while other pool lists are incomplete and wrong.

6. if you are already so "good" in digging in with numbers, why not make it to all pools I listed. Wouldn't that be fair?

7. did this post say anything about PetaByte?

... and please Headache, do NOT visit my pool anymore ;-) STAY with ninja.

Cheap PetaByte assets are almost gone. ONLY 1.56 PB still available.

WHAT a birthday of BURST!!!

1 year old, no cake, no candle and NO UPDATES!

Not even a word from somebody knowledgeable about possible developers still on board.

Sounds safe to say, it was a good project, it was a good idea, but it seems it is dead!

Lets wait three days more, maybe it arises from the dead, ... Embarrassed Sad Angry
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: August 11, 2015, 10:51:06 AM

It must be added there so somebody fill out that form please!
https://yobit.net/en/addcoin/

Can anybody please add it to Yobit, it only takes 2 minutes to fill out that form, and they will add it in 1-2 days.

C`mon guys, i really want to invest in BURST, but i dont have account in other exchanges right now.

I really don't understand why it is that hard to make an account on Trex, polo, or C-Cex?

Well its more confortable to trade in the exchange i use for half a year.

Why is it so hard to add it there, it takes only 2 minutes to fill the form. The only job is that you have to talk to them in e-mail and they will ask a few questions about the coin.

Since i have no clue about it, i thought somebody more experienced could talk to them.

Otherwise i would have done it. So please somebody add BURST to Yobit, thanks!

EXACTLY! We are used to the exchanges Bittrex, Poloniex and C-Cex !!! ... about a year now!
EXACTLY! if you are so "confortable" there, why not use your 2 minutes of time to fill out the form. I am sure you spent more time already to rant about other should do that.
;-)

PetaByte has about 3.8 TB worth of mining capacity to trade. With the cheap BURST price a great opportunity to get something back from your BURST holdings.

Count down for the first year of BURST:

BURST_start   = "11 Aug 2014 2:00" UTC

Look like more dump coming

Looking at your postings history, I notice that you only have one message and repeat this one over and over!
Could you find something else to talk about???
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: August 01, 2015, 10:53:18 PM
I will try to get BitID installed on one of my servers. It is a way to authenticate to a web site. We know similar ways, like Login with Facebook, Twitter or Google.
I use MyCelium wallet and it works fine for that.
Has anybody setup a website with BitID already?

If I succeed I want to modify it to use BURST addresses to do the same. On Github is a pull request already for other coins. Maybe we can jump on that and fork it to a BURSTid.
Is anybody interested in that?
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: August 01, 2015, 10:46:20 PM
Bittrex:
Buy order book: 2.9868 BTC worth of BURSTs
Sell order book: 653.1025 BTC worth of BURSTs

Poloniex:
Buy order book: 8.6105 BTC worth of BURSTs
Sell order book: 147.1715 BTC worth of BURSTs

In my opinion not a healthy trade status.

We need to create a NEED for BURSTs, so that trading can start.

Further, look at your wallet Recent Blocks:
In my opinion too less transactions.

Any ideas what we can promote (together) to get the "Needs" for BURSTs and so the value back up.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: July 30, 2015, 01:45:50 PM
ARE the developers are still with us? or have they already left since BURST price does not perform as expected?

Last update was BEFORE block 92000
Now we have block 126245 !!!
That is almost a THIRD of the coins existence without any update!

In case the developer lost track:
Please:
1. add at and lottery pages
2. update wallet
3. update nxt.wellKnownPeers
4. Look at your cheat sheet ("NXT") what to update.
5. publish the white paper (finally)

Maybe we should ask other developers to jump in here. How about bin/laden?
The WINDOWS wallet is already - even as a clone - advanced to the original.
(Who know me, will know what I am thinking of Windows)

Burst lakes of two MAJOR things:
1. management of BURST development
2. management of BURST promotion aka PR team

https://block.burstcoin.info/

Projected and past blockrewards hangs at block 64,800 / 7,350 BURSTs.

Supernet seems like an IPO vaporware scam. I'm not hoping that Burst gets involved in any way, and I don't see why they would invite another NXT-based coin into the fold anyway.

What do you mean its a vaporware? Its a decentralized exchange, where you can trade altcoins with no counterparty risk.

They might have objections about BURST as it might hurt NXT's hegemony, but if they are truly competitive they will just add it and collaborate with it.

NXT has useful things that BURST doesn't have and vice versa. I think it would be a great partnership.

Right now NXT has nothing that we want.

So, what do we want?
How do we let others know what and why we want that?
