Bitcoin Classic She should roll a at least a few hundred feet before...

Maybe Hearn's article was a needed shock to get things rolling. After that, surprisingly fast consensus is pretty much reached. Now that "heretic/narcissistic(?)" Hearn is out, perhaps devs can work more easily together. If this dubious consensus was reached due to the likes of a character such as Hearn, I would find this consensus rather questionable and untrustworthy just as Hearn himself is rather questionable and untrustworthy.

Bitcoin "Classic"! What a stupid name. Logically there's nothing really classic about it. They should have spent a little more time thinking up a proper name at least.
It's called Classic because it is was inspired by Satoshi's scaling solution. And is in keeping with his vision for a Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System. Unhunh. Sure would be nice if Satoshi could chime in right about now. Satoshi! Where are you? What is your favorite bitcoin flavor? Help us out a bit, please.

Sounds like a coffee or something If you wanna stay in Bitcoin, that's what it's gonna be called for a while. Will probably drop the "Classic" bit naturally, like with Coke. After rabies finishes off all the smallblock Luddites. Probably Core should rename themselves Classic. That makes more sense. And maybe the current Classic could rename themselves to Core! Confuse everyone even more! That should really make the price plummet!

I'm having a nice "classic" coffee right now, as we speak! Go figure

There's something very "controlled demolition" about all of this. Paul Vernon was in army intelligence after all. Paul Vernon had at least one contact in the Secret Service intelligence community. That Coindesk story says Cryptsy had a relationship with the former Secret Service agent Shaun Bridges who was sent to prison for money laundering. It will be interesting finding out what the relationship was. The post also claimed that the company had a prior relationship with former Secret Service Agent Shaun Bridges tied to "an unrelated matter". Bridges was sentenced to five years and eleven months in federal prison in December following his conviction on obstruction of justice and money laundering charges. Always an "unrelated" matter

Cryptsy, Hearn and the bitcoin flavor of the month issue are just preemptive strikes against the halving event. Bonne chance...

Can't he say what he thinks? I don't see anything wrong in what he's saying. BTC is really shady he's right on that. Users don't have any correct informations you can't deny that.
So after spending countless years of his life working with Bitcoin, a few months after his departure Bitcoin is dead? Please. If you defend such a person you are not any better than him. Bitcoin is not that shady, especially not since there's no Silk Road equivalent. Stop your gibberish. I don't understand the hate, he's someone who worked on btc and thinks it's a failure and warned people about it, is it a reason to hate him?
Because he's a paid bulldog who backstabbed the community with this article. Should we love him for it? not really news ... we already knew hearn is a bitcoin hater and saboteur, except for the NYTimes readers who will no doubt lap up Hucksters Hearn's soundbites for the sheeple
That is the problem of this story, NYTimes and the sheep that are going to believe this nonsense or defend him. It has already reflected itself on the price (incl. news about Cryptsy). Seems we won't be able to discuss. You don't seem to understand the position of someone who is not informed. Most people don't have the time to spend hundreds of hours to understand exactly how everything works and who's in charge of what. "You're not better than him if you defend Hearn" You don't understand. I don't know who he is, he just doesn't seem like somebody bad. Bitcoin IS incredibly shady in the sense that normal people have no idea of what's happening, what's currently developped, who's in charge of what, what can or can't be done etc... I'm not talking about drugs or anything that something else. I'm talking about how btc works and will evolve. You're all talking about "bitcoin core" "bitcoin XT" "forks" and things like that. I've no idea of what it is, and I'm an engineer which means i got some basis in science... So btc IS shady in the sense that a small percentage of users actually understand it. He shouldn't have declared bitcoin as dead. And should NOT have said that he's selling all his bitcoins. There are good reasons why people in control are not allowed to do that on exchanges. Everything else he can vent as much as he wants Yeah, he kinda ends up sounding like a little crybaby. Unprofessional at least.

Poor bitcoin. Always being attacked one way or another. Now its divide and conquer with all this XT, classic, unlimited, extralicious, wunderBar, SooperDooper and whatever other alt garbage coming out soon. But no matter. They may be pulling out all the stops but bitcoin will survive this beating. What's next?

Does anyone has a clue by now why the Chinese dumped en masse yesterday?
Chinese didn't dump fuckall. It's just whitey TPTB with his Chinese accts creating volatility to scare the pussies. They know what's coming.

It's totally up from here. Ain't no fucking 380 happening. It reminds me very much of what happened at 300s. Just like then, as long as 400 holds confidence will build and the price will eventually rise again. And repeat at 500. soon, all the Chinese will be jacking off to sub3000 bitcoins and we'll be right back up to 460 where we will remain for quite a while.
