401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: * This is how you become an altcoin Millionaire * on: February 13, 2014, 05:33:18 AM
Buy now while iX is cheap, less then 10 cents per iX for all the benefits and more that bitcoin has. The potential for the biggest gains since bitcoin rests with iX coin, and only iX in the foreseeable future.

Benefits? There is no benefit to a currency. Its supposed to be a CURRENCY there is no "benefit"., What is the "benefit" of the US dollar, that russian ruble doesnt have? They both buy you Coca Cola and MCDonalds to eat. Plus both can pay for your next cab ride.

I dont understand why some of these altcoins have "themes" or "benefits" or are associated with one thing like MINECRAFT, or are tied to an internet MEME like Nyan wants to beat DOGE, lol or one is associated with metal BARs, one has "EARTH theme". Garbage.

I cant wait for a coin that comes with WITHOUT themes, period. Like BITCOIN, LITECOIN.

Thanks for your post though, it was entertainingly funny. No i would NEVER spend 10 US cents on a coin that old that has not made it anywhere to this day.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are most of the POOLs owned by theives? on: February 13, 2014, 05:14:50 AM
Ok almost a month has gone by and no comments on this thread. Are you guys all good with your pools?

I just went through another few exercises with LEAF. I mined when difficulty dictated about 10K coins/hour for three hours. The result is 15K coins instead of 30k.

It is very frustrating to see how pools are robbing miners and amazingly no one cares. Even this thread didnt get much attention. It is so easy to cheat by changing the payout percentage, like defining a
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You guys are really fucking up here. on: February 12, 2014, 07:18:29 AM
This section is ugly, filled with copycat coins which are either scam or premined.
The section has to die, or implement approved only threads for new alts. No new or innovative features = can't release it on this forum.

I agree with part of what you said. If the coin is premined or instamined it has no place in this forum.

Coins without innovation are fine. It gives the developers the chance to promote and whoever promotes better wins like DOGE did with Olympics.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You guys are really fucking up here. on: February 12, 2014, 07:01:33 AM
I think some altcoins are becoming so successful that are threatening the existance of bitcoin in long term. Look at DOGE, many exchanges are trading all altcoins with DOGE now.

I never understood why LITECOIN has a big name. Its not worth mining. Not worth keeping. Not worth trading. I understand it was the first Scrypt based open source and base for 99% of the alts but still it should be treated as a standard, or a base not a coin itself.

So with LTC out of the way we only have BTC and DOGE that are valid. The rest are come and go stuff.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How is Ripple not considered the best alternative cryptocurrency? on: February 09, 2014, 08:37:14 AM
Perhaps because it's centralized garbage.

You missed his whole point like everyone else. He is promoting those three websites no one has ever heard of.

Haha I can see the 30x$100 = $3000 worth of USB Dualminers going for $150 just this coming October of 2014.

The $3000 GPU mining rig you put together today is still worth $3000 in October because no one is mining Scrypt with it anymore, people with GPU have moved on to SHA-2 (or similar) and Mr. ASIC lover is searching eBay for the $100 SHA-2 ASIC that shows up late.

Butterfly has the 600 GH/s Monarch for $2196. I think that is the cheapest per GH price I have seen.
http://www.butterflylabs.com/monarch/

Thats $3.66 /GH
This one is $6.50/GH almost double!

The only problem is when I saw it first just 4 weeks ago, the BFL Monarch could make one BTC in 5 days. Still has not even shipped yet.
Now it makes one BTC in almost 9 days, ONLY IF YOU HAD IT TODAY, but you dont, BFL is using them to mine.

By the time it ships it will make one BTC in 50 days and that 50 days will never come because it keeps increasing while you wait for the 50 days. So its a never ending cycle.

Plus the moment the 45000 BFL cards get released and hit the market, BTC difficulty will quadrouple in a matter of few days so those cards the moment you open the box are obsolete.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 200k USD to invest? on: February 09, 2014, 02:53:43 AM
Joking aside, the best option for you would be to create a fast, honest, trustworthy altcoin trading company (exchange) and take the company public. Dont trade with USD so authorities cant touch you (you are not a money company, its just worthless coins right? well since they are not "regulated" they are not money).

I am talking etrade, tdameritrade quality site with fast transfers and tons of traffic. Spend 100k on marketing, 50k on fast servers and 50k on programmers.

Definitely don't invest in "ASICs people will move on from Scrypt to SHA-2 or SHA-3 (seen Vert?) just like they did with BTC. SHA-256 mining is pretty much worthless and abandoned except by those who are bagholders and never made their money back on their useless ASIC that dont do anything other than SHA-256 at a very very low rate.

Thanks me when you are 25 and a billionaire.

Buy 50K in NET it is about to halve its block in 29 days. You will certainly make a good 50% return and then you can sell and do other things. NET was not premined nor instamined. Has great community supporting it. Its not a flybynight MOON coin.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mine&Hold vs. Mine&Sell ? on: February 09, 2014, 02:12:25 AM
It depends on coin name and real community.

For example, NetCoin, iCoin, SmartCoin, WorldCoin sounds good, in perspective they can be accepted by services and markets.

Coins with bad names has low chance to be popular.

Thats true but  more important is PREMINE and INSTAMINE. When that happens you will be running your RIG hot for days to make 100 coins worth $50 and your electricity during the same time is $25 so your net profit is $25 and a few hours of your time. At the same time the developers and their buddies have millions of the same coins. You cant compete. They are worth $100,000 each and YOU are supporting them.

So SAY NO TO PREMINE and INSTAMINED coins.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mine&Hold vs. Mine&Sell ? on: February 09, 2014, 01:53:55 AM
Mine & Hold about 80% of it, sell 20% just to pay electricity and stuff...

Thats absolutely not correct. You mine the most profitable, the ones in the peak of the charts that are about to fall. So you never hold them. You buy those that have already fallen and wait for next run.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mine&Hold vs. Mine&Sell ? on: February 09, 2014, 01:52:23 AM
Hi guys,

What's your strategy of altcoin mining?

Do u mine altcoins and hold them for long long term (hope that they will be used in daily usage or worth 1000$ someday) ?

Or Do u mine them and sell them for bitcoin (because bitcoin is the only thing worth for current and future for sure) ?

Just want to know your thoughts

You always MINE AND SELL.
YOU never ever MINE AND HOLD.

Step A)
You MINE whats the most profitable. Use Multiminer (fee but you have to pay coinwarz if you want automatic switching) or use Coinwarz manually and switch between coins.

Step B)
You immediately sell what you mine. The most profitable COIN to mime is profitable because its spiking for some weird reason and it will DROP soon so you never want to hold on to that. Dont mine anything that spikes up on coinwarz because difficulty is down -80% that will change in 2 minutes and you will be mining very little 2 minutes after you switch.

Step C)
You buy what has a good future. BTC if you want solidity with almost no reward but don't want to watch it daily. Some other solid coin like NET if you want moderate reward with little risk to downside. Speculative coins like Vert, SMC, DOGE, MOON if you want huge risk/reward (you could lose it all or double your coins value in a short time,. )

what if i mine Doge/Vert (Not the most profitable coin, but somehow profitable to mine coins) directly ?

You can do that if you want to make a lot less money. Considering 1/4 of your income goes to electricity if you do that and make 1/2 in coins, your income gets cut in third.

Plus the most profitable coin WILL DROP VERY SOON and you will end up with nothing just wasted electricity.

Big mistake.

Always MINE the most profitable.
Always sell and buy NET.

for example WDC was in top 5 profitable coin for last weeks, i was mining it and holding it, now it is going down, So should i sell all of it or hold them for next rise ?

Actually you may have mined WDC when it was higher than today, that's why it was near the top on coinwarz (it was never #1 anyway) so you are already late selling it, but that's ok, sell it now and buy what you think WILL go up like CASH, NET or SMC. But WDC has already gone up (thats why you were mining it!) and now its on its way down.

I have to add that Cryptsy ALWAYS has fixed my missing coin issue but ONLY IF I AM WATCHING AND OPEN A TICKET, if I miss out doing lots of research in my pools and finding deposits and comparing to Cryptsy and diggin out the TX ID and reporting them, then the coins are gone. I probably have lost a lot because I use multiminer and it switches pools and my pools are set to automatic deposit.

One good thing that came out of this was that I am buying a lot of NET at an excellent price around 1200, because it is slated to half the blocks in 28 days and that would double the price alone, plus speculators will usually start buying like ten days before that so now its the time for me to build up. NET was going for 4,000 a month ago and it is a solid coin. It was never premined and all initial developers have mostly cashed out so it is an even playground now. It does not have a stupid theme or meme, its a regular currency thast does not attach to stars, earth, dogs, smartness, metals, nothing. Its a currency to trade online with. It has a prestigeous foundation backing it up and promoting it constantly. The Chinese also think its the 3rd coin after BTC and LTC. I believe it has the potential to become #1.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CASH] Get your Crypto CASH now! Utilizing Moore's Law (Traded on Cryptsy!) on: February 08, 2014, 04:31:57 PM
How long it takes deposit CASH to Cryptsy?
Im waiting 5 hr and still nothing.

im waiting since yesterday, sux yeah Sad

could be that cryptsy is trying to stop dumping by limiting/slowing deposits to stop large selling ? i dunno. its been happening from the start.
cryptsy getting flaky ? dunno.

If you ask me that is Cryptsy manipulating the market. I was mining NET for a while and suddenly all deposits got stuck for 2 days. The price went up but I didnt have any to sell, they were STUCK somewhere in Cryptsy pockets because block chain showed they are all confirmed 48 hours ago.

NET was at 1500 or so that was two weeks ago.

Cryptsy suddenly started releasing NET very slowly but also started DUMPING the coins to buyers who were unaware of this built up and were lining up. Sale orders in excess of 200,000 NET came through and crashed the price down to below 1300. Avg seller on NET is 50~10 coins. Sell orders of 200,000 came through in a flash. NET has yet to recover.

Same thing is happening to CASH right now, buyers have lined up to over 30,000 Satoshi, only because new mined coins are not reaching Cryptsy.

Next coin that comes out we have to vote for it NOT to get on Cryptsy and NOT to get on coinwarz for 2 months at least.

Spent two hours mining on smc.hash.so and NOTHING found, ZERO coins. What a waste.

Someone is DDOSing the stratum on http://smc.cryptopools.com but it worked great when it was up.

Yes, i bought for 1 BTC a bag IFC at the right time for 0.00000068 satoshi (for LTC!). I bought some more recently, as things are looking good. I believe it was a good move so far. And i'll keep holding them for another year. We will see what happens.  Grin

Don't be sad that CashCoin will drop so hard. I'll be there when it hits 120 satoshi to avoid that this coin gets removed from Cryptsy. Isn't that a nice move?

And now: Keep crying that nobody is really interested in this C(r)ashCoin.  Cheesy

Dude you never bought anything, you dream of saving up and owning your own cent one day. Keep mining with you zx81 and in a few years that is a respectable goal. You bought 1 BTC bag .....hehehe you noobs..

Are you the only one pumping CASHcoin? Because no one else seem to be a big fan of this losing phenomenon. You should've sold, you shouldve had less faith in this POS and more BTC, now you are called a bagholder. Keep holding, you will eventually sell at 120 Satoshi

dude what has this coin ever done to you? stop hating on the coin. basic math suggests that this coin will be worth more than doge etc and should not be anywhere near 120 satoshi. if u dont like the coin then just leave it alone why taking so much time to post on this thread. it doesnt make sense that you hate the coin yet are waiting to buy at 120 satoshi? hmmm

Wasted 3 days of my hasing power while it is dropping like a HEAVY METAL INFUSED ROCK in very low viscosity liquid. Yet still above 20,000 Satoshi. You guys enjoy it.

CASH is more expensive because it has to be to pay the electric to maintain the coin.

Even now with difficulty @ 346 I can mine ~300,000 MOON a day and need 0.013BTC a day to pay the electric alone.
I therefore need to sell each MOON for >~5 satoshi.

I can currently mine ~200 CASH per day at current 8 difficulty.
I therefore need to sell each CASH for >~7,000 satoshi.

I'm in the UK and have ~5MHs

EDIT:
300,000 / 200 = 1,500
7,000 / 5 = 1,400

See a resemblance?

Actually no, its not true with Miners. BTC miners have been making less than their electricity but they still mine, in billions of hashrates. Because they think BTC will go to $1M or something.
