401  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Up Like Trump on: August 08, 2015, 03:50:23 AM
When this Trump thing began I thought it was a hoax/joke. Sadly, I was wrong.

What really surprises me is the support he is getting. What is with the Yanks anyways? Do they really want this loose cannon with his finger on a nuclear trigger? Watch out Mexico! Watch out Rosie!

Maybe they should do a season of "Presidential Apprentice" first and see how that plays out.

If he does make Pres. how long will he last? Yanks have a history of doing away with politicians.

Well ... you got to give it to Trump for being the entertainer he is.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum poised to overtake Litecoin in market cap soon on: August 08, 2015, 03:31:22 AM
Eth bagholders are getting anxious.

ICO coins have dumped fast and hard in recent history.  Best be fast on the trigger when trading commences.

A very nice plan! I wish you the best of luck.

Post here if you feel like caving in so we can talk you out of it.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2016 and WHY on: August 07, 2015, 10:13:33 PM
Conciddering the amount of views of the 2015 version: Read 43317 times, we can see that it has some interest.

I do not recommend to invest in any of these mentioned coins without proper research, how it was launched, how it developed, community involvement, stamina, price history and volume, etc.

Mentioning some coins that someone likes does not hurt anyone, if you don't like to follow it then don't, simple as that.

That is a fair post and I agree. I do not follow these threads. I only wanted to interject a warning to the less informed.

Any of us that have hung around here for a while are aware of what goes on in altcoin world. Do we really need to open another door to shills? They can keep the shilling in their respective ANN threads afaic.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2016 and WHY on: August 07, 2015, 08:36:42 PM
These threads are useless. Newbies beware.

Bagholders promoting whatever they got suckered into buying and scammy coins advertising.

That's the lynchpin of this whole debate. These activist groups don't speak for the majority of LGBT peoples. Most LGBT people would be more than happy to live in an environment of tolerance, like everyone has a right to. What these groups are demanding is acceptance, and no one has a right to force anyone else to accept their own world view. All of these overreaching policies these activist groups are trying to push effect all of us. Opposition to them is not equivalent to bigotry or hatred no matter how much they wish to cast it in this light.

You hit the nail on the head and so eloquently. Thankyou.
407  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Transgender on: August 06, 2015, 09:35:14 PM
They are people too. It is not needed for someone to understand them. They like what they have become and would like to live like that. That is fine with me everybody has a right to do what he or she wants with their life Smiley

Exactly.

Where the problem lies is: they want to shove it down everyones' throats. It's not enough to go about doing their own thing. No one cares but they want to stand out and be special I guess.

I lived in a smaller community where two transgender people resided. They went about their business like everyone else. No one bothered them and they fit in fine. No one would ever have known except for the fact they had been born and raised there.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpartanCoin - Cryptocoin for the competitive world. on: August 05, 2015, 08:07:19 PM
Ya I noticed that the Dev doesn't respond to PM's either Sad That's too bad because it wouldn't be bad to get this coin up and running again so more people got an interest into the coin Cheesy

Yep, he totally abandoned the coin. The least he could do is pass over the reins to those who are interested.
409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the fuzz about blockchain.info all about? on: August 05, 2015, 04:08:47 PM
They push buggy codes. Its always result is some problems, sometimes hacks and sometimes other errors. You should not put your money in an insecure wallet.

Just downloaded the bitcoin core..Heck, it takes 20 GB to synchronize... It will take me more than 2 months to complete synchronization!  Which one do you suggest? Multibit or Electrum?

Its just not feasible for people to use bitcoin core. 20 GB is too big unless you want to dedicate a machine to it. Not to mention the need for an exemplary internet connection.

Multibit HD and Electrum are good choices.  Multibit HD has more features at this point but Electrum is close behind. I don't think there is much difference in security features or reliability. You can always install both and compare for yourself.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT] New Wallet Released - Mandatory Upgrade / Hard fork Set for August 1 on: August 05, 2015, 03:56:11 PM
I thought the coin was dead after it reach to 3 satoshi some months ago .......... but now i wish i bought 1 million of it ......

I have to agree with you. It was no fun watching Mint languish.

Never count Mint out.  Dedicated people behind this coin.

Mint is an "honest" altcoin. No scamming. No fud. No bs. It's just a well performing coin; as an investment and a real currency. I'm always amazed at how fast transactions confirm.
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just realized right now how an ICO scam can be run... without transparency■■ on: August 05, 2015, 05:15:43 AM
i mean how else are these guys going to raise capital?

Most of the ICOs you see here are just simple coin clones. They may throw in a fancier wallet, an extra feature, and promise the moon but their only goal is to relieve you of btc.

Remember, this is the wild west. There is no law, no regulation, and no recourse. Once you send your btc off its gone forever and no one can help you.

Trust no one.

Duh.

ICO = thanks for the money sucker.

413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: August 04, 2015, 04:34:58 AM
Bitcoin has its work cut out for it. It will not be an easy journey replacing our archaic monetary systems. Powerful institutions have not taken it seriously yet and when they do, lets hope its too late to stop the btc rebellion.

414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being against Mark Karpels is simply attacking our own. on: August 02, 2015, 10:50:31 PM
Karpeles getting arrested made television news where I live. I groaned as I watched it and thought: " just great ... more bad news for bitcoin".

I hope he gets everything he deserves if found guilty. He hurt a lot of people and is possibly the biggest reason for the decline of btc.

Birdman

So bad I never finished it. That goes for "Exodus: Gods and Kings" too.

I finished the new Mad Max but what a disappointment.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT] New Wallet Released - Mandatory Upgrade / Hard fork Set for August 1 on: July 31, 2015, 03:39:21 AM
I'm trying to build the latest version in Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS (headless) and I'm getting this error:

Quote
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [mintcoind] Error 1

I thought we had a working Linux version already. Are you saying we don't?

There is a linux version. Must be 32 bit as it will not run on my 64 bit system.
417  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Transgender on: July 21, 2015, 05:46:15 AM
Have no issue with how people proceed in life as long as its not hurting others.

The violence aspect is sad and I read a large segment of the homeless youth fall into the LGBT fold as well.

My axe is not with the individual as much as the movement.

Here are some examples off the top of my head:

Fights over bathrooms and who has the right to use what bathroom.
A transgender locally trying to get sex removed from birth certification and drivers licenses
Teachers forcing kids to try on the other sex role and dress up
Parents wanting to be able to change the sex of their children under the age of six

These movements are fine, but these always try to grab more then they should and start stepping on people toes in the process.
Its the same issue I have with GreenPeace,Enviromentalism,Vegans,NoBorders and like groups. There is a segment that will keep pushing
till we all are thinking wtf happened here!

Well said.

Why do these types of things always have to be shoved down everyone's throats? Live and let live is not enough.

I don't care what people do or how they live but please do not expect me to clap my hands for joy.  It seems us non-clappers are bad people because we don't want to jump on the transgender(or whatever) bandwagon.

It's threads like this that create "Monero Haters".
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All The Crap that GAW Has Been Doing [CENSORING INFORMATION AND LYING] on: July 16, 2015, 06:34:56 PM
There was no way to continue once the stink of scam permeated everything Gaw related.

Paycoin will go down in history as one of the most blatant scams ever witnessed in this space.

Sadly, cryptocurrency is a scammer's paradise.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All The Crap that GAW Has Been Doing [CENSORING INFORMATION AND LYING] on: July 15, 2015, 11:10:31 PM
The jury is in. Paycoin/Gaw was a monumental scam right from the get go. Garza has disappeared. Hashtalk is gone. Only thing left is worthless coins, zenminers, and butt hurt investors. I thought it fair to end this thread accordingly.

Sorry barabbas. Hope you didn't lose too much. (sincerely)
