401  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LightningAsic usb miners based Gridseed GC3355 Tech Support Thread on: March 03, 2014, 04:38:05 PM
I have yet to receive my unit but I'd like to prepare.

Does the controller have to be wired or does it work on WiFi? If it needs to be wired I'll have to cable up the space where I'll put it. Smiley

Wired -- standard cat5 network cable.

Crap.

Is there anyway around this?

Bought LA3M and because of home situation can only use wifi connection....have no access to router, cables, etc.

You use the router as a wireless bridge.

I use one on my laser printer and I have used 16 to wire up a condo complex with wireless bridges on the ceiling Smiley

Sorry for the newbiness of the question, and thank you for taking the time to address it nonetheless. it's really very appreciated.

We are now solo mining doge in our own private pool. Give me a few days to work on getting the rest of the pool software setup so I can publish an API back to the coinninja.com website. Our pool is totally DDOS proof (it's behind our firewall).  It's nerve racking waiting to hit our first block.

Please open this up to your owners so we can help... I have my own gridseed now as well as my GPU and I would happily mine at our DOGE pool.

Was able to source a pretty cheap LA3M.... Will arrive in a week or so.

We still havent got paid out for this GB this week right? I just want to make sure

We haven't paid out on this one, it doesn't have all it's hardware yet and we are still trying to get it deployed.  One of the gridseed miners mangled my finger yesterday, lots of drama with the install. We are continuing the install today, and more miners are expected to arrive tomorrow.  These things are a royal pain in the ass to setup in a constrained space;  I would rather work with GPUs. Watch out for those fans...ouch.

Sorry to hear that, thanks a lot for putting so much effort into installing these.

***** PRE-ORDER DISCOUNT FOR 10-PACKS (Shipping STARTS 8th March) *****

Pay by 4th March midnight
US$2,350
GMT +10 hours

Interested. Hope to get a 10 pack local on Monday or Tuesday and if those work I will want more. Please PM. Thanks!

Cartman, PM me and give me your address and I will see what I can do for you. My pipeline is getting full. And it is a first come first serve basis. The earliest you can get it is dispatched by me from the 8th March. Now that stock is running low and in about another day I am going to close it and start on Batch #4 which will be March 15.

Everything is shipped out from China, and the invoices are done whereby customers don't need to pay tax and the units will pass customs easy. We are very familiar with all import laws and taxes for most countries to be able to deal with it.

Cheers

At this price I would go for it.

You still have my info?

Update for any newbs wanting to join us:

Given that we don't currently have any open pubilic group buys, I am making the following offer for anyone looking to join our mining cooperative.
You get 1 share of Group #2(or #3, they are in essence the same) and 1 share of Group #5 for the low price of .75BTC.
With these shares there's just one low monthly payment $14.99 you get 18+GH sha256 and 300khash scrypt.
Please send payment to 1NiNJAGi1k51pfxKsQQQisf3MMwsPU5yCc and post in the thread to buy. This offer is EXTREMELY limited.

^this only only for newbs?

The offer is open for anyone.  We've been holding off on the big GPU group buy as we are watching what NVidia is doing very carefully.

OK, I see. Thank you.

And just to clarify: do I have to buy multiple of ten shares in GB#5? e.g. if i buy another two shares through trade in GB#1, can I buy only two more here in GB#5?

Multiple of 10 is for previous group buys to allow you to take possession of the hardware.  This Group Buy requires you to own 1 share for each share you buy.  So if you own 2 shares of Groups #1-#4 you could buy 2 here (because of the free hosting).  No minimum buy (whole shares only).

The rest of the hardware cleared customs today, I expect to get it early next week and we will pull out all the stops to get it up and running.  Hopefully we can resolve our stability issues this weekend.  The current batch is being moved from the staging area to the cage and we are developing a monitoring system to reboot dead miners automatically. Also a new firmware release is imminent.  And we are going to try to get our own pool up and running ASAP, with the kind of hashrate we have we can pull significantly more income using our own pool.

Sorry for all the questions...if I grab another another two bringing my total to 10 overall, do I still get to take possession of antminer? or do all ten have to be in the same GB?

Thanks for the clarification. I'm on the fence buying the LA3M mainly because of the stability issues I've been reading about as I have no time to babysit while I'm at work or at home; really curious as to the results of the firmware test. Will definitely buy a unit if the stability issue is solved via new firmware and if those doubled hashrates that were posted somehow prove to be a reality (if they are, someone is probably protecting that secret).

If you do go to a private pool, can GB members get on that with their own equipment?

PS I think I'm going to stick at my current shares and not get the LA3M at this point (if you haven't already sold it).

I can't get enough shares of the first GBs to get to 10 and the total cost if I were to (people taking offers at .2BTC in previous GBs) --7.5BTC-- is too much for me to sink in at the moment. Speculating instead to diversify.

Also sort of sitting on the sidelines with respect to forking and a new home purchase. I'll have a new huge cool concrete basement soon for GPUs if a scrypt fork comes.

All in all deciding to bide my time at the moment I think.

Great GBs and great organization and happy to have the shares I do.

Looking forward to an announcement when it comes from a large vendor, but I don't think this will come for another 6 months or so after regulators stamp it and venture caps figure out how to make it easy....this will turn the tide and we should see it go to 1500 by the end of 2014...in the meantime it will be a wild ride, probably sinking again to 400 with regulation news or another hack...but anyway, this should all go into speculation.

Has anyone had trouble with theirs? I jut got my hub today and am trying to mine with the 3 I have, 2 of them are up and running fine, the third is being detected but not starting.

What kind of hub do you have?

Kicking myself for not going through with this buy. The gridseed 5 chips have to be restarted all the time, etc...

I'd get in on a group buy again if you organize.

Ok we have a tracking number, waiting for the package to get diverted from customs to us.

I'm opening this back up for 40 more shares making it an even 200 shares. Offering is now .55btc

Would we still have to compensate for any differential with previous gbs?

Also I assume Canadian bank is ok for ach invoice --if I go that route (sorry still deciding as I have a feeling my wife will hate the LA3M in the house)-- as per my email?

You mean with the current low BTC rate? I'll check tomorrowmorning, but I think we can work something out Wink

Yeah I actually might go for this too instead of buying unit now that I think about it...

The rest of the miners should arrive this week ~ Wednesday?.  We're getting a shipment of 12 more 10 miner kits (of which 4 are for this group buy), so if anyone is interested in the extra one's (8 available, but I'm thinking of keeping a couple to run with my solar system) we'll be selling them for $2899/per complete 10 miner kit; shipped from the USA with full tracking number...no worrying about the shit I have been going through getting these in stock into the USA from lightningasic.

Bitcoin or ACH payment available.

What are the specs on the 10 miner kit?  Hashrate?

It's a complete kit. 10 miners, 1 usb hub, 2 power supplies, all cables and a control module.  They get somewhere between 3-4Mhash depending on your pool, share difficulty, and how lucky you get with overclocking. 850Mhz seems to be the best.

Hope you don't mind a pm or two to share best practices when I get mine up and running.

I could be interested. An Aussie on here selling complete kit for 2550 plus shipping though...

We paid more than that....and this will be in-stock no waiting "2 weeks" or however long it takes for the Chinese to deliver to him, then him to deliver to you.

We can also make more shares available if there is interest.

OK, how do I do the ACH payment for this? Other seller is dragging ass.

Also, if if you could refund the difference of the updated owner list info as outlined in earlier post that is much appreciated:

Sold out. I am working on the final list.

We have a number of people that bought more shares here than was allowed. The limit was ONE share per share you own in previous buys.
We can either (a) refund the coin for shares that were beyond what was allowed, making them available to other members.
or (b) you can obtain shares of group buy #4 at .24btc per share to bring up your total holdings so that you have at least one share in another group buy for each you purchased here.

Sorry about this.

Is it possible for me to take 6 more shares in GB4 = 1.44BTC and 6 shares in GB5 = 2.934BTC? This would equal 4.374BTC?

If you could refund me the difference of 9X.489=4.401BTC that would be great: 0.027BTC.

Let me know if this is possible and thanks in advance.

BTCAddress:

That will work....good solution.

Great. Looking for the OP update and 0.027BTC refund whenever you should get the chance.

Thanks again for a great gb opportunity!
