I would like to offer a 5 Million ZEIT for someone to create us an official Forum for us that we will integrate into our own website.
This will be our new movement headquarters where we can discuss how to utilize this crypto currency to benefit humanity.
This can be turned into a positive if we can demonstrate the value of a decentralized currency and how it can be used, we could change their mind. Even if TZM does not officially support us they can support our own initiatives to do with this coin what we wanted to do with them.
It is time to show this world what a group of dedicated people can do!
i dont see the point of creating our own movement if we have the same goals, what we need is a platform to allow crowdfunding of TZM related projects and activity's perhaps even a platform to manage chapter expenses and funding (in a manner that cannot be cheated) |

i think the event is a small setback, nothing thats going to stop Zeitcoin or our intentions towards the movement
be understanding of their lack of understanding and lets work towards bettering it.
this will force us to form our own community and get directly involved in doing things

I love this image and thought here would be a nice place to share it.  very childish interpretation I am in full agreement that we need a shared and open source world and am working towards that, but trading is not inherently corrupt, your forgetting that its the system built around trading that is corruption generating. aka forcing people to use money is evil, not money itself, let alone a decentralized crypto currency. we need to take power away from the system, this is exactly what crypto-currency does. i expect TZM to use all technology at its disposal toward its ends. |

The global chapter representatives were generally not that receptive of crypto-currency when i brought it up during a global chapter meeting a few months ago
but they are human, they have preconceived notions and biases, especially when its so close to what we fight against, but fighting fire with fire works and so should fighting money with money.

Any body here running 6950's to mine? wanting to know what hash rate you getting? what numbers you punching in? im getting 459.5kh per card at around 66.0c stable! but I need more! cause I need more zeit!!!! I cant mine it fast enough! thanks for ay help  we have a solid community here guys i have one running at 467kh/s WU:440/m core at 935, default memclock its not unlocked wow nice, how stable is it? and what temps you getting? ya, much better then those delicate ribbon cable risers, i broke and burnt a few of those appreciate it and nice setup, managed to hold steady at 465 per card will leave it at that! whole extra 30kh, every little helps! when I have a wallet ill swing you a few zeit for the help. will look into those usb risers will be needing em soon. dont bother, i have enough, to the left and to the right is 10 R9 290, in total i have 16 GPU, running 10.5Mh/s i got my risers off dhgate, got 20 for 300CAD (after shipping and tax) |

Do any of you even blockexplorer? Seems like a clone of mint, possibly same "dev". Same obfuscation of where premine went. Dev instamined. Anyone know exactly how pos will work? Very similar. i dont like that after 6 weeks, the reward will be 1 coin per block. its not gonna work that way. everyone will stop mining and it will just die. because no one willing to buy a coin at 1000 satoshi.
Diff will fall and single minerd will support whole network. No difference. or it could already fall so hard because of rapid block halves that it would die slowly and leaving the investors in pain of loss again. its hard to tell if i should invest 1btc or not. you will always have someone mining, guaranteed. So this cannot fail. the security of the network will come from PoS, so it doesnt matter if the network hashrate is low at that point. |

I think you're assuming that the 2 GPU companies aren't watching or don't care about this market... its doable, just because no one sat down and focused on making a professional grade home chip fab yet doesnt mean it will take years to do so. diy chip fab actually already exists, ofcourse its nowhere near capable of 65nm or let alone 25nm. if gpu makers do get into the game, there wont really be any difference to the end result of hashrate monopoly's. your worse off with gpu makers getting into crypto mining then having asic companys get involved. |

Is that Asic resistant. if it is i would suggest we use that. Listen, people. NOTHING is ASIC resiatant in the long term. When LTC was created, using a scrypt algo, it was meant to be ASIC resistant. However, technologies go further with high speeds and 2-3 years later we do have ASICs for scrypt. Understand that whatever algo to be used, soon or later the asics for it will come out. One may take longer, but soon or late, ASICs (or even new type of hardware) will be created for anything. Yes, these algos are a short term solution. However, in the long term this is an everlasting war with two parties. Ultimately if there's a market for it.. ASICs will be superior in whatever app they intend to service... That's what their names imply... Application Specific .. integrated circuits.... However, the idea here is to make it not worth their while to design, develop and fabricate the ASIC.. asic development isn't like writing software where you get 13 guys, and sell a company to FB for a billion.. it takes real capital to fund R&D, buy wafers and fabricate.. lot of risk.. risk wafers, imperfections.. then debug, ECOs and respins... it's a big upfront capital investment. The nfactor code isn't just a set algorithm.. well it is, and it isn't... it changes 1 parameter on a scheduled basis by posix time to be "adaptive"... okay its pretty lame adaption change just 1 parameter... but hey it does increase the memory b/w dramatically.. 1024 -> 2048.. and on power of 2s... which *might* make it infeasible for ASICs to continually tape out to adjust for it.. and if ASICs should choose to also become adaptive.. well.. they just become generalized processors anyhow, which would yield little to no advantage against GPUs, since they are no longer really application specific... if you support 100+ applications.. well then you're a application processor.. Sure... if at some point nfactor=X has a 100B market cap due to coins.. and its just worth people's time and energy to keep developing and releasing asics that do just that... then yeah, this premise does fall apart.. But the lead time and development time is long for integrated circuits. Idea here is to not make it worth their while... It may fail.. but in my estimation it ultimately it all depends on where crypto market cap in total are going... Thinking about this.. there's probably room for a more innovative solution to this which not only changes nfactor.. but changes the algorithm based on blockHeight... to align with the direction of where GPU/CPU computing is going.. like for blockHeight > 10000 or something.. swtiches to prime sieving.. (primecoin)... predicting in that time GPUs would catch CPUs in that race in a few years.. and leave ASICs far behind... but anyways who knows, the future is the future.. anything like this is hard to predict. If you could you would be making millions speculating the semiconductor market this is going to be proven wrong real soon, professional diy chip fab is coming once i get my manufacturing capabilities online, its actually a project i plan on tackling. also gpu are stuck to their gaming purpose, an asic can be designed to be adaptive proof with more memory then you would ever find on a gpu, heck you could build an asic that can also interface with pcie and make a hybrid. if your coin doesn't make it to the asic point, its never gona be worth much. |
