Bangladesh are hopeless. They had Sri Lanka at 37/2 after 4.3 overs. But then they allowed Sadeera Samarawickrama and Kusal Mendis to build a strong 3rd wicket partnership and now the Lankans are looking quite comfortable at 80/2 after 10 overs. Shoriful Islam and Taskin Ahmed bowed really well in the beginning. But then they got no support from the other bowlers. And I don't know why there was a delay in introducing Mustafizur Rahman. He is a wicket taking bowler and ideally he could have been used as first change.

^^^ Once again poor performance from Papua New Guinea. I have a lot of fondness towards PNG, in part because their players are all natives and cricket is the most popular sport there (unlike the case with Oman, where all the 11 members of the squad are non-citizens). Repeated defeats to other associate nations means that PNG will end up with a lower share of the ICC fund allocation, which will further increase the gap between PNG and the other associate nations. Oman on the other hand benefits from increased funding (from both ICC and ACC).

The match was won by the Scottish bowlers, especially the pacers. Bradley Currie and Safyaan Sharif put the United Arab Emirates in trouble early on, and then the middle and lower order was finished by Scott Currie and Mark Watt. Quite disappointed to see Chris Sole not playing in this series. He showed a lot of promise during the ODI World Cup qualifiers, but then suffered poor form after that. Anyway, Scotland are at the 4th place in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2, and at this point Namibia, Canada and Netherlands are above them.

I was waiting for this match. Because Netherlands had shown a brilliant performance against Namibia in the previous match. The team set a huge target of 248 runs for 20 runs. It was unbelievable to us that a mediocre team like Netherlands would collect such a huge collection. And so in today's match, I was waiting for the Netherlands batsmen to show great batting.

The match was abandoned due to rain. Namibia team collected 98 runs losing 4 wickets in 15 overs. Namibia's players were batting slowly. Netherlands would definitely have won today's match if the match had been abandoned.

Before the start of this series, Namibia was looking like the strongest team out there. But now they are out of the tournament and the final match will be played between Nepal and Netherlands. I am not sure who could have won today's match, if the rain interruption was not there. Namibia was struggling at 98/4 with 5 overs remaining. They could have got to 140-150 at the most. That might have been too little against the explosive Dutch batsmen. Anyway, Netherlands would be favorites to win the final match, which will be played on Tuesday at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.

New Zealand prepared a pitch that offered little assistance to the pacers, because they were afraid of the Aussie pace triad (Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins). But it backfired on them, as Green got to 174, and then Lyon destroyed the Kiwi batting lineup. It was a baffling tactic, given the fact that New Zealand has some of the best pace bowlers in the world (Southee, Henry, Jamison, Milne, Boult, Wagner.etc) and they are quite weak in spin bowling (it was Glenn Phillips who picked most wickets for them in this match).

Anyone watching the Ranji Trophy semi-finals? The first match is between Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh. A number of heavyweights are in action. From Vidarbha, the star players are Karun Nair, Umesh Yadav and Akshay Wadkar. Madhya Pradesh is even more star-studded, with the presence of Venkatesh Iyer, Avesh Khan, Kulwant Khejroliya and Kumar Kartikeya. At this point, it is one man show from Karun Nair. He is still there at 52, while Vidarbha is struggling at 159/8. In the other match, Tamil Nadu is struggling against Mumbai. They are at 113/6, with Shardul Thakur and Tushar Deshpande sharing 5 wickets between them.

Nepal has managed to stabilize their innings, and now they are 107/2 after 13 overs, in return to 120 from Netherlands. They should win this match, as two of the most experienced players are at the crease (Rohit Paudel and Gulsan Jha). Both are batting in their 30s. Tomorrow's match between Netherlands and Namibia is going to be crucial. If the Dutch win that one, then the final will be between them and Nepal. If Namibia wins, then the equation will get a bit complicated, as all the three teams will end up with the same number of points.

Big fightback from Nepal. Now Netherlands are struggling at 67/6. They collapsed from 54/2 and so far Karan KC, Pratis GC and Kushal Malla have taken two wickets apiece. Netherlands do have depth in their lower order, but that didn't worked out this time. Everyone except Scott Edwards and Max O'Dowd got out for single digit scores. Netherlands doesn't have to worry as such, since they won the first two matches. But the middle and lower order collapse is a concern for them. And they need to win the last group phase match against Namibia now.

5th match in the Nepal Tri-Nation T20I Series has started, with Netherlands winning the toss and batting first against Nepal. They have reached 43/2 after 6 overs, with Max O'Dowd and Scott Edwards at crease. Karan KC has taken two wickets so far, those of Michael Levitt and Sybrand Engelbrecht. The Dutch have made good recovery, after being reduced to 4/2 in the first over. But the big battle is going to happen when the Nepali spinners start their spell. Netherlands do have depth in their batting, with Teja Nidamanuru, Noah Croes and Aryan Dutt to come next.

New Zealand need another 258 runs to win against Australia, with 7 wickets remaining. Spinners have dominated this match so far. Nathan Lyon took 4 wickets in the first innings, and so far 2 in the second. For New Zealand, Glenn Phillips took 5 wickets in the second innings. At this point, Lyon and Head are bowling in tandem, and Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell are just trying to survive. Mitchell has made just 12 runs from 63 balls, while Rachin has been a bit more aggressive. The three Aussie pacers (Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins) are being used intermittently.

Things are looking interesting in ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League Play-off. Super 6 phase is ongoing, and the top 4 teams are going to qualify for the 2023–2026 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League. There they would face the other 8 teams (Jersey, Papua New Guinea, Denmark, Hong Kong, Kenya, Qatar, Singapore and Uganda). I would like Italy to qualify, but they need to win the final match against Vanuatu. Because if Vanuatu wins big, then there is a chance that they can overtake Italy in points table and finish at the 4th place.

It's seems that the Italy team going to easily win this match this is really a big score on the ODI format. Before starting this match I thought Tanzania will gonna win this match but they literally doing a worse performance on their bowling side. Their all bowlers are give high runs today. And from Italy team I will say that Wayne Madsen, Anthony Mosca ,Marcus Campopiano these three have kind of same contribution today.
And if I talk about the Tanzania tea their batting lineup also giving worse performance today their top order batsmens are failed to do give performance they got out on a poor score. Currently Tanzania took 121 run from 22 over and they lose their 6 wicket. So I will say definitely Italy will won this match.

Well.. seems like Italy is back to form after two consecutive defeats. They have a few players who have experience in first-class cricket. Wayne Madsen has played for a variety of teams, such as Derbyshire, Joburg Super Kings, KwaZulu-Natal and Multan Sultans. Grant Stewart on the other hand has represented Kent in county cricket. Gareth Berg is another very experienced campaigner, who has played for teams such as Hampshire, Northamptonshire and Western Province. And Madsen won the match for them today, with his 110 from 71 balls.

Nepal finally managed to win one match in the Tri-Nation T20I Series. It was a very close match though. Hosts made 180/8 batting first and Namibia fell short by a whisker and lost the match by 3 runs. For Nepal, the 19-year old Kushal Malla made 55 from 37 balls. Namibian bowlers were expensive except Ben Shikongo, who returned 4-0-28-3. And in return, the Namibian lower order took the match to the very last ball. Zane Green and Ruben Trumpelmann hit a few boundaries towards the end, but eventually they fell short.

It looks as if Ireland may get their first ever test match win today. They need another 85 runs with 7 wickets remaining. Two of the most experienced Irish batsmen, Paul Stirling and Andy Balbirnie are at the crease. Ireland should win this one, but don't forget the fact that they have already lost 3 wickets. Naveed Zadran picked up the wickets of Peter Moor and Curtis Campher, while Harry Tector fell to the bowling of Nijat Masood. There is no room for complacency for Ireland and they need to make sure that they don't lose any further wickets.

Today there are no matches at the Pakistan Super League. As of now, Multan Sultans are on top, with 5 wins from 6 matches. Quetta are just behind with 8 points from 5 matches. And then we have the hapless Lahore, who have lost all of the 6 matches they played so far. For tomorrow, we have two matches. Lahore Qalandars will be playing against Peshawar Zalmi with a seventh consecutive loss on the cards. In the second match, Quetta will take on Islamabad. It is crucial for Islamabad as well, as they have just 2 matches against their name in 5 matches.

LQ raised the expectations of their fans and now they are almost out of this tournament this should raise a large number of questions about Afridi's captaincy.
MS completely dominated the LQ in batting and bowling by securing a very comfortable win against LQ at their home ground. MS played their 1st match of PSL 9 at Lahore and what a way to start your journey at a new ground and against home side.
MS team is a complete package they rest their key players but are still able to win the game very comprehensively.

Well.. I had mentioned about this quite sometime back. Shaheen Shah Afridi is not exactly leader material. Neither for the Pakistan national team, nor for the Lahore Qalandars. His tactics are not working and he doesn't have the capability to perform under pressure. Lahore Qalandars do have good players such as Fakhar Zaman, Sikandar Raza and Carlos Brathwaite who can be considered for the captain post. Even Rassie van der Dussen is a good choice, when compared to Shaheen. Let Shaheen focus on his bowling and don't get overburdened by the captainship responsibilities.
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: February 28, 2024, 09:08:18 AM
Going back from politics to betting; I have to say that Trump bets are not looking that reasonable at the moment, dude both has a very long road down the road that he can be bashed as we have seen even from Fox News (which was weird to see) all the way up to election day, and that means he is going to be trashed a lot more than Biden who doesn't have to have a campaign the same way since he is already the president.

I think it's clear that we are going to end up with something a lot more valuable if we want people to bet on Trump. This doesn't mean that he will not win, of course he can win, but just because he can, doesn't mean that odds should be this little, we need higher odds so that betting on him would be worthy. 2.20 at least, or even 2.40 if possible, which would be great and I would 100% bet on him at those odds.

I don't necessarily agree with you. It is almost 100% confirmed that Trump is going to win the GOP nomination for the POTUS 2024 elections. And as per the current opinion poll numbers, in case Trump is allowed to run, there is a 80% to 90% chance that he'll win. Now the only uncertainty is regarding whether he will be allowed to run. Some of the Democrat-oriented judges have threatened Trump with disqualification. But everytime these guys go ballistic about Trump, the latter gains more sympathy from his supporters and even from the neutral voters.

The Irish had a great start, but then they threw away the advantage. Mark Adair in his opening spell picked up the wickets of Noor Ali Zadran and Rahmat Shah to leave Afghanistan reeling at 11/2. But then Hashmatullah Shahidi and Ibrahim Zadran managed to stabilize the innings. Shahidi was nabbed by Barry McCarthy a few minutes back, but now Rahmanullah Gurbaz has arrived at the crease and he is looking quite confident out there. The biggest disappointment was Craig Young. He still hasn't got his line and length right.

Another tough match for Nepal. They need 61 runs to win from 5.2 overs, with 6 wickets remaining. Dipendra Singh Airee and Sundeep Jora are at the crease. They have a strong lower order, which includes Gulsan Jha, Sompal Kami and Karan KC. But that may not be enough to get past the target that was set by the Dutch. And this time, Netherlands had included their premier bowler Timm van der Gugten in the playing XI. Roelof van der Merwe already had his 3 overs, and conceded just 13 runs. Nepal batsmen are struggling against them.

Quite disappointing to see another native side (Italy) losing against one of the teams entirely comprised of expats (Bahrain). Batting first, Italy made 218. None of the batsmen could get to a half-century, although Marcus Campopiano, Anthony Mosca, Wayne Madsen, Grant Stewart and Gareth Berg all made sizable contributions. In return, Bahrain reached the target with 6 wickets to spare. Jaspreet Singh got two wickets, otherwise the Italian bowlers had hardly any success. Star bowler Stefano di Bartolomeo also failed this time around.
