401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fall for "smart contract" platforms. on: April 27, 2017, 02:54:44 PM
Smart contract are not something bad or unneeded feature. It is rather general problem with mass creation of useless atlcoins.
Even 'smart contract' platform will be worse and worse because there are too many of them.
Saying that smart contract is useless is like saying that blockchain tech is bad because we have some random altcoins.

402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started? on: April 27, 2017, 02:03:34 PM
My biggest problem was buying bitcoin itself. The only way I knew was to use virwox, it is a complicated process and huge fees, even now I had to use paypal to buy some, and in the end 20 euros turned into 12 in btc
Why are you intend to use methods to buy btc which are burdened with the highest possible fees.
PayPal and VirWox are only good when you want to buy small amount of BTC very fast - it's emergency way of buying coins.
Don't tell me you live in a country where there is no local exchange, or using Coinbase or exchange with global presence is not avaiable
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was the value of 1 Bitcoin when you first mined/purchased? on: April 27, 2017, 01:48:15 PM
I don't remember exactly what was bitcoin's price at that time when I started my journey, but I know that it was around the time that Mt.Gox was going down.
We had fake ATH of $1232 or something, and the very next week price crashed like crazy. Thank God that I didn't buy BTC at that time to catch rising wave but I waited like a month.
404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost over 12 btcs gambling on dice on: April 26, 2017, 08:47:08 PM
Thats a sad year, i just lost 100% of my coins in just 4 months
tried a mix of strategy, safe ways, risky, playing just a few times per day
but results are always the same
you lose in the end
i feel cheated
its unbelievable
know
why the house always win?
And you see people saying "it happens, you can not win in a long run"
why not? why i cant win in a long run?
why we never see a casino losing and closing the doors?
why 999999999% profiles of the top gamblers are negative?  Huh
 Undecided
but you know what i like? I like when the house eat the shit back
when someone manage to find a bug and make 6-7 digits over it  Cheesy
the house cheat, thats it

There is no safe and risky strategy in gambling, with 'safe strategy' you will only spend more time gambling.
While with riskier you will lose money faster, that is the difference.

You should do do research first why casinos can operate, gambling is zero sum game on steroids - which mean you will lose.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit Confirms On Litecoin In 2 Weeks, LTC Could Hit $25 on: April 25, 2017, 10:50:01 AM
I should admit that segwit is much ado about nothing. It doesn't solve scaling problem but it can drive the price upwards.
Litecoin doesn't have scaling problem, daily usage of this coin is far lower than bitcoin. Blocks are not filled to the full and tx limit is not reached.
But how can you say that SegWit is not solbing scaling problem? I don't know whether Litecoin's SegWit is different but in case of Bitcoin it will
increase the range of the actual block size to about 2 to 2.1 MB from 1 MB (depend on the network conditions).
406  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Unlimited adoption at new record high. on: April 25, 2017, 10:25:25 AM
Almost 42% and rising.
Suuuuure that fork is never going to happen. Lol.
You realize that this is not 'adoption' this is only forced by handful of people who are owners of mining pools.
Jihan alone is responsible for majority hash power supporting Bitcoin Unlimited. Just look at the number of BU nodes (10%).
Then confront number of nodes with hash support power. Do you see dramatic discrepancy here?
407  Other / Archival / Re: Satoshimines Bot - Paid Version for Free! Huge Profit! on: April 25, 2017, 10:04:32 AM
I don't tested this offer nor I want to. I just want to share my opinion with you:
If someone is suddenly is offering a free version of normally paid software it is a red flag.
When it is a gambling tool, or something linked to cryptocurrency it is double red flag.
Lastly, there is no bot which can grantee or earn 'huge profit' on constant basis. Avoid.
408  Economy / Economics / Re: The fiat-money bubble! on: April 25, 2017, 09:39:45 AM
If the life expectancy of fiat currencies in the past still translate to the dollar, then the dollars has its days numbered. The dollar is 97 years old, which is on the average of other fiat currencies of the past. Will it surpass 105 years? Right in 2025, the dollar will be 105 years old, so if that graph is correct, we should be seeing the fall of the dollar within the next decade, then I can see BTC skyrocketing to 6 to 7 figures a coin.
There is no such thing as life expectancy of fiat currencies. In the past there were many factors which contributed to shifting power to create reserve currency from country to country.
I am talking about politics, war, colonial conquers - standard history flow, where I nation suddenly claimed better position. We don't see anything like that happening right now with the USA.
True, the debt of USA is overwhelming but it is not critical yet. US industry, brands are still strong and can handle it.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin for 2017 ? on: April 24, 2017, 01:50:02 PM
The coins which have potential to do stomp the maerket:

- Maid safe coin - if developers deliver what they promised it will be easy top 5 altocoin.

- Decred - highly advanced coin, but it comes with rather experimental way stuff is handled there, worth checking out

- Dash - as much as I hate Dash and I think it is a shady coin, it is growing rapidly
410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is the fairest bitcoin betting game you know? on: April 24, 2017, 01:31:08 PM
Op, if you are so deeply worried about possible exploits in provably fair system dice sites and bitcoin casinos are using why don't you try sport betting?
There is no way that bookmaker will cheat you in any way, at least not when it comes to determine if your bet was won or not.

And so you know, poker sites are still taking part of your money when you play. It is still business.
411  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✧【 ParaDice.io 】✧ ━ One step ahead ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ on: April 24, 2017, 01:19:54 PM
I read all your long messages, what thing is clear, no one should gamble if they can't afford to lose.

I really don't understand the use of faucet, maybe for fun sometimes.

If you go to a real casino who  will give you free money every 5 minutes to try their slots?

Let's be serious
Faucet is a tradition of bitcoin gambling sites. By using faucet you are getting only fracture of penny. Insignificant amount money.
There are withdrawal limite restriciton, so you can simply withdraw faucet money anyway.
You can play with it and if you will get extremely lucky you will be able win enough to withdraw.

Some people take pleasure in testing their luck and playing with faucet money.
412  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: All adresses connected to one wallet? on: April 24, 2017, 01:10:27 PM
I was searching for this from months now but never got it as the OP said, it doesnt show on Google. Should tell the owners about it as search engines should have displayed, may be keywords misplace.
May I ask why did you exactly typed in google when searching for this tool?

The correct way to search this service is to use terms: bitcoin blockchain analysis or bitcoin address explorer.

You will find other similar services that way, for example advanced version of wallet explorer - https://www.chainalysis.com/
413  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Le Pen leads the polls to win first round!? on: April 23, 2017, 07:35:31 PM
I hope Le Pen win, she will take France out of E.U. and that's a good thing for French. I don't know if that would be a good thing for btc, but it will be for the people of France.
European Union is not the reason behind decline of France. It is because their own internal immigrant policy.
France was colonial power and always keep close ties with African and Middle Eastern colonies.
That is the reason why France is so culturally and ethnically divided. If France will leave UE it won't change anything.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: April 23, 2017, 06:16:12 PM
That's why while playing one must choose a trusted sites to gamble, particularly when you want to deposit bigger amount. If you choose a best-trusted site from this forum still it is safe to deposit and gamble. But without creating an account to bet will make things very simple for gamblers and they will simply love it. It is really good move and think slowly will attract many players.
NO account betting is an old concept, many websites utilized it before, some with great success:
directbet.eu and nitrogensports.eu does basically the same, you can play in the matter of seconds if you wish.
That feature is neat, but it is not enough to make gambling service unique anymore.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think BTC SegWit will be activated? on: April 23, 2017, 06:11:19 PM
Hope not. Segwit is too much unknown, it could kill Bitcoin.
How exactly would it kill bitcoin?

Both SegWit and Bitcoin Unlimited has cons and tinkering (and danger of messing up) software worth $20 billion is an awful perspective.
The best solution would be never upgrading core bitcoin protocol, and instead move priority to off-chain channels. Bitcoin is not decentralized anymore anyway.

416  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-04-22]Billionaire Investor Has 10% of His Money in Bitcoin & Ether on: April 22, 2017, 10:01:53 PM
Idgaf how much I could make from ether, it's just another shitty centralized currency that I want nothing to do with. It's the opposite of what all cryptocurrencies should stand for. I think he's just a follower and he only invested because they're the biggest. That's pretty dumb and takes almost 0 knowledge. Oh durp these 2 look good since they're the biggest. Great analysis.
As much as we might not like ETH we can't deny that their development process is superior than BTC.
Mainly because it is so centralized, it is easier to upgrade this coins. AFAIK Ethereum has gone through 4 hard forks already.
Even after that emergency rollback fork after the DAO fail didn't affect coin stability all that much, since that time value of ETH rose more than 4x.
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how can we make gambling as an accepted recreational activity like sports game? on: April 22, 2017, 09:44:55 PM
We need to accept that natural order of things can't be changed. Gambling was treated as sin or low form of entertainment since the dawn of time.
There is no way that people would suddenly change their opinion about gambling and start to respect it.
418  Economy / Speculation / Re: "The price of your bitcoin is 1000 times overvalued" on: April 22, 2017, 09:30:26 PM

Important reasons as to why people don't spend their coins:

-- Bitcoin as it is doesn't function as well as fiat does when it comes to doing online and local shopping.
-- In order to buy something with Bitcoin, you must obtain Bitcoin first, and then hope that the price doesn't fall too much after buying. Especially for the non Bitcoiners, this is an unneeded risky step as they can buy everything with fiat already.
-- People don't like to spend something which later explodes in value. It makes them regret having spent their coins, and most likely will never spend again.

Don't forget the fees. Most people are cheapskates that try to save on all their transaction fees by including poor fees. This will only result in many many hours of waiting time to get that important first confirmation, and guess what, Bitcoin will be blamed for 'not functioning properly'.
To battle that negative bitcoin traits services/merchants accepting bitcoin should introduce some kind of incentive for people who use BTC.
Knowing deflationary nature of Bitcoin they should also store at least some portion of bitcoin payments, it would be amazing long term investing strategy.
The only real problem are growing tx fees. You can't really do anything about it as an user.
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did you all stock up on your LTC yet?could this be the last call for this train? on: April 21, 2017, 09:32:41 PM
8-Hour Miner Meeting Ends With Litecoin Scaling Agreement: http://www.coindesk.com/litecoin-miners-back-plan-support-segwit-blockchain-upgrade/

They agreed that SegWit is the best scaling solution available.

And surprise, surprise:

"Bitmain co-founder Jihan Wu confirmed he was personally in attendance at the meeting, despite his long opposition to the same upgrade on the bitcoin network.
He said that it was the combination of SegWit, with a promise to support on-chain scaling solutions, that ultimately led Bitmain to back the proposal."

Now we need to wait for Jihan to accept SegWit  for BTC. Smiley
420  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Did it actually works this time? on: April 21, 2017, 09:22:18 PM
I had registered with a wallet I did not take the time to research and when I sent all of my purchased BTC there, it was gone forever.
Can you specify what happened exactly? Where did you buy BTC? What is the name of this wallet?
It is gone forever because wallet scammed you or you mistakenly used the wrong address?
When you want to pick a good BTC wallet always chose wallet listed here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet
For your own safety don't use anything else.
