401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 17, 2024, 09:51:46 PM
How can one control the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling despite the toll it takes on once life.
it's simple....but without self determination, it's the hardest decisions to make.... everything lies in your mind and how disciplined you may become.. embark on a daily record-taking routine - which would mostly be about 'how much lose over how much gain' you've made already.. try as much as possible to SEE THAT THE ONLY INTEREST IN GAMBLING IS HURDLING THROUGH LOSES, EMOTIONAL INSTABILITIES,DAMAGES..ETC . just for some nugatory wins that might never come...yes, it is totally pointless!!
Quote
It's getting worse every day. I'm extremely depressed I have thoughts of unaliving myself more often, some times I feel the betting companies manipulate people spiritually to get them addicted where be playing without plans and strategy. Once a bet place get cut, there is this uncomfortable urge to quickly book another one with the plans of recovering the first money lost but it will end up cutting again.
There are no spiritual connections.... How do you even think anyone can bewitch you through some gaming sites?

* Stop when your losing is now getting to you.
* Stop when you are now feeling as is you can't do without gambling.
meanwhile, y'all be like - dang! THIS is actually the best moments ever since I started gambling and when this feeling comes, it means I shouldn't back out.. they've got some motivation to nullify your provn facts already.
Quote
* Stop when you have a big winning, by channeling the money somewhere else so you won't lose it back to gambling.
This looks somewhat impossible to me... Cause ain't no gambler stops wagering 'em funds when any winning shows up.. it's an addiction and would definitely take a whole lot of time to get over it. So there's every possibility that they win on games, but they keep gambling till they lose everything.... WHAT'S the essence then?

Maybe you wouldn't have..but how can one tell which prediction would pay off?.. you'll never know... It happens outta a blue and it may sometimes stir your motivation on wagering heavily to incur more wins, should it ever cut!..

The big problem about posting winning tickets like this would definitely be enticing some daft-headed fellow into thinking they could possibly get some bucks and the Chances of winning like that is actually high... It'll also motivate already exiting gamblers too.

There are so many ugly stories untold, behind his timely success... would you believe that too?? Sometimes, maybe he had to sell off his old ride or give it out as a collateral, just to try his luck and it cut...

AFAIK, there are so many scandalous act recorded all through the years(ever since gambling was accepted), that has risen the public's attention and have been summed up by apprehending the culprits involved... nobody wants to be sentenced for squandering people's funds on gambling so he was solely responsible for his fate... Good or bad
I had to bring that to your notice just Incase you feel gambling hasn't made any negative impact.. mind you, he never said anything about his challenges overtime.

If you're a profitable sports bettor or any casino player, you should make sure to save money for tax time.
I'm not against gamblers - atleast for the fact that I'm currently advertising a casino sites... But there are alot of effects caused by gambling that feels really unusual to me..
Quote
Every 2 weeks I calculate my profit on and put 30% away in a ALLY bank savings account that earns 4% APY per year. This way I can earn a little interest on my gambling tax payments.
I mean,... Your feeling of entitlement is breathtaking - what's the sequence that you secure a win on every game you wager ? Cause damn, you just calculated them winnings like you got a contract that's basically payable on every interval.... Is this just an assumption?..

For me, I'll make withdrawals on every winning I get.. it doesn't have to get to a specific period..

406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 16, 2024, 09:14:19 PM
I do pay attention alot to people's stakes on a particular prediction - I did that everytime when I wagered system games for customers...be it virtual games or sport betting. For every game I staked, I try as much as possible to see if the desired amount correlates with the total odds.. seen some weird stakes over the years though - it mostly comes from aged people... "Once, A man walked in and asked me to scan through a code.. I did and it showed up with just a single game and then he asked me to stake what's directly equivalent to 5 dollars innit." I did but it didn't go too well for him..lol

it doesn't necessarily affect me since I don't gamble... I only did for others and I do make predictions too.

407  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: January 16, 2024, 08:17:15 PM
I am curious to know who are their targeted audience and at what age group. In general gambling people target countries like thailand more but probably this is not the case with crypto. Do they target nerds or total dumbs? How efficient they are between their marketing tactics?
it doesn't have to be a special marketing strategy - people love to try out new things and they'll definitely wanna try to wager on crypto games, no matter what it takes...

it gives a different platform for improvisation and prunes crypto enthusiasts into finding comfort in wagering on such platforms... I've seen cases that peeps get registered for just being allowed to fund Thier crypto wallets on casinos - that could also be a money laundering route.
People get registered on sites for different motives too... You also need to understand that the continuous registration and clicks goes a long way in promoting them too.

408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land-based Casino Enjoyers are something else. on: January 15, 2024, 09:58:20 PM
I gotta say man, I know gambling for some people is bad but when they say it's bad I didn't think it'd be this worse lol. Oh well, all the more reasons to avoid the land-casinos I guess.
gambling is gambling..AFAIK, There are no two ways about it. If there's any reason why you should not prefer one to the other, it should either be the processes involved in getting acquainted, or maybe the inconveniences caused by booking games offline I guess...

Anyone that WANTS to get too attached to the game would definitely lose it..yeahh. The only reasons why gamblers on land-based casinos would wanna go wild would be for the fact that they' can tend to relate more with the cashiers - I've seen cases where they even owed huge debts and tried to abscond from high casino buildings.

409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drug (cocaine) addicts compromises gambling potentials on: January 15, 2024, 09:44:00 PM
My question>>>
* Is gambling really to be blamed about the laundry drug addict guy who engaged in gambling in order to gain more money and afford his drugs?
Because to me, he has been a drug addict before began to gamble and he strictly gambled consciencelessly just to make profit and buy himself this assorted unhealthy pills (drugs). So, I don't see anyway of gambling being responsible for his irresponsible reputations with his mentality of what triggered him to gambling and his inabilities to control his gambling.
well, I'll say he did gambled consciously... ain't no way anyone would choose to gamble without having no prior thoughts about it...again, there wouldn't be any thoughts of him trying to maneuver through gambling assuming there was nothing like that... Think about it..

As for the those political social influencers, I bet they know nothing about how they'd possible make amends on the current situation in the country, so I'd say they better get a life... Do they actually know how tough it is to predict and win on any gambling site? Why would anyone suggest that as a typical way of mopping out the current inflation??

Why will users switch to another forum?
lol...interesting!! why do you think they won't? Lovesmay - everything might seem okay but, there isn't an oath of commitment or whatsoever, that bonds anyone in here ... It's solely about everyone's personal interest, which might be different from the purpose of which the forum was created... The fact that you never knew about signatures before getting registered might be true, but for some, signatures acted like the "catalyst"..
Quote
But another interesting fact is how easily people are willing to exchange for small things, agreeing to do the same thing only for a much lower price.
lovesmay, how much worth of trash coins do you think would equate exactly what you're being paid in your current campaign??!.. how much of those trash coins were being paid to anyone on bounty projects?.. how many shittyheads did you see, trailing along the bounty threads and begging to join?.... Seems you don't even know how desperate these degenerates are.
Personally, I've never thought of an alternative that mixers would have, talkmore of getting registered on a site,. whatsoever.
Edit:
The point is, you're trying to protect the current Bitcointalk's traffic right?
if that should matter to anyone, it should be THEYMOS himself...
..and what's this capitalism/breaking of monopoly stuff that you speak of? Are you aware that this site was created by the FOUNDER(Satoshi) himself?

How do you expect to get some bunch of worng informations in here?? That's somewhat impossible - especially from reputable members... That's exactly why criticism is welcomed in here....if you have any curiosity in mind, it doesn't take a single Bitcoin guru to make some proper explanations to you.... Everyone would do Same thing and in all, you'll be guided on how to maneuver.
For me, I don't really prefer doing any informal research... Except I wanna use that as a confirmation over what has been deliberated already
415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit decay on: January 12, 2024, 09:56:15 PM
I've got to find out that there are some profiles that have received whole lots of merits but some of those profiles don't circulate their sendable merits to others profiles thereby allowing the sendable merits to decay and become worthless. The reason for sendable merits is for a user to send to other profiles in which they find their posts of good qualities and of Meritable standards but I wonder why some users choose to hoard this sendable merits and allowing it to vanish with time.
Is it a good habit to allow one's sendable merits to decay?
Ddmr has said it all... There has never been a time I heard someone complain about smerit decay ...never! I've also had like maybe 2 smerits kept for over months and months and it doesn't disappear.. I think Theymos wouldn't make anything compulsive...

for sure, there was actually a time I learnt that some meritsources do have them smerits desolved for the same reasons; if they actually delayed the circulation and they got some new monthly refills - I'm not a merit source and i dunno how authentic the information was but that's it.... I also Learnt that Ratimov sometimes HODL smerit for his generous reviews... I dunno what to believe anymore.

I wrote words in the wrong order before and at first glance it looked right.  Next time I had to restore my Seed from my paper, it said it was wrong.  I got desperate for days, until I tried to swap the word with the previous and luckily it did work for me.
Check your Seed twice.  Do not be lazy.
jezzzz!!! I've never thought of this dude - there's never been a time it occured to me.. though I know for sure that I'll definitely be in hot soup assuming those words are misspelt or written in a wrong form...I didn't even think there's a way to get over it though... Thanks for the information.

mhennnn.... I'll definitely need to be careful this time around (maybe I need to crosscheck?)?... Right. I'm just wondering how worrisome it might look when you try to import to another wallet and it's telling you something as annoying as - "wrong seed" ..and dammmmnnn it!!! You've got like 5btcsss??? Huh?.

Hey Bitcointalk buddies!  Let's talk survival in the crypto jungle.  Scams are like mosquitoes at a summer BBQ - annoying as heck! Here's your anti-scam hack: Double-check everything! 🕵️‍♂️ Suspicious emails? Swipe left. Shady websites? Close that tab faster than you close the fridge when you're on a diet. 🏃‍♂️ Keep your private keys private, \And if someone promises you a Lambo for sending them crypto, they're probably just window-shopping for dreams. 🚗💨 Share your survival tips below - let's build a fortress of crypto wisdom!
what you listed out are tips we've known already, and it's been reflecting in ours minds over and over again as long as we're always on Bitcoin ecosystem... It's good to have it written in your own format though - cus who KNOWS? A newbie could decide to read carefully, maybe for the sake of them Emojis?? IDK..lol
These crypto tyrants are actually improvising their means on every single trip to collecting multiple database, to analysing them, to sending out phishing links/spywares etc.. Sometimes, your device can even support their barbaric mission by helping to upload everything to their web; limit the permissions you give to some downloaded and inbuilt app...if possible, use a cold wallet.

My name is Humayun.  I live in Enayetpur.  I have four members in my family.  I am my sister my father and my mother.  I am struggling to buy a phone.  I found this link very hard.  I would love to work on it.  Someone teach me, I am a very poor boy.  It would be very beneficial for me to do so.  I am studying in Class Nine now I am in Ten. I know a lot about Bitcoin.
Every other part didn't sound right to me - except the last thing you said... YOU KNOW ALOT ABOUT BITCOIN? Then you're actually in the right platform... But what's the point of getting registered in here when you've Known alot already?!.. rhetorical anyways.

well, you complained about being broke... maybe you've been reading through the forum and you've been enlightened that there's actually a way to earn some few bucks? - I'd say there's definitely nothing you can do about that right away... We've got sig.camps but TF you don't even know nothing of such...so Don't even bother yourself in tryna maneuver - FOLLOW due process dude... Learn to Earn.

When I first came into the forum I easily get criticized by my actions, though I still get some sticks now but on a less note, but I have learned.
That was actually your problem and I'm glad you took proper corrections on time,  in resolving and coordinating yourself - you've learnt alot and not just learning, you've allowed what you learnt in here to disassemble you and prone you on the right path of thinking rather ethically rather than critically...
Quote
My advice to my fellow newbies is learn to listen more than talking, so that you can learn something new.
your advice to other newbie's shouldn't be telling them not to talk.. AFAIK, everyone's got the right to do so... Just learn to do it at the right time, on the right topic, and with the right tenses.
All the same, you did well.

420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who is newbie and how long does it take to navigate the forum? on: January 11, 2024, 09:59:37 PM
I often see people posts like don't teach others when you are a newbie. This is an absurd word in my dictionary. People like Powerglove or n0nce has far more better knowledge than some legendary members who has earned two thousands merits. So, what is wrong if a newbie try to correct you?
Uhmmm... The problem isn't about you teaching others what to do or correcting them, the problem is about you trying to make requal sense, and at the same time, not being INSULTING... alot of peeps would see themselves on their high horses while creating a ridiculously- composed to thread, all in a bid to own a thread on BTT.

This is a Bitcoin forum and I don't think the ideas in here are conserved.. there are actually so many forums that share the same ideas like we do in here - so there's every possibility that someone would know much about Bitcoin and you don't, newbie or not. All they gotta do is to be INFORMATIVE.
