401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many trades do you make daily? on: August 17, 2018, 07:08:36 PM
Altcoins? Geez, three times a week is enough. You'll be raking in pennies if you're doing it daily a lot. Learn to read charts so that you don't have to trade a lot in a day.

Check out the number of unspent outputs. https://www.blockchain.com/charts/utxo-count?timespan=1year

I think once it breaks above 55 million, we will all be happy.  Grin

403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 💰💲[250,000,000 IX ][X-Block][BOUNTY]The first global Blockchain 4.0💲💰 on: August 16, 2018, 08:42:05 PM
I do not quite understand the terms of signature campaign. All participants need just to wear only the avatar and personal text ? And thats all ? Signature is not necessary to wear ? If this is so then members with a rank junior member and a member - can not take part in this bounty because they can not wear an avatar ! Who wrote the rules of this campaign? You do not understand how everything is arranged on the forum ??

It seems that the person handling this just copy and pasted some parts of the Bitcointalk campaign.

Wow, team have two telegram chats! It's really impressive. It means that a lot of people is blieving in this project. Now we are expecting that this team should meet our expectations.

Er, no. I've been added to many big Telegram groups without my consent. Every day I had to "report spam and leave" every Telegram group that adds me. So, its not a good measure for popularity.
406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [hMerits] What will happen to Bitcoin if the ETF applications are granted? on: August 04, 2018, 08:36:32 AM
Ordinary people without the stomach to risk and learn about cryptocurrencies can now invest in Bitcoin. They don't have to understand about wallets, wallet security or even how to send Bitcoin.
What would happen if the ETF itself loses funds? It's happened to many exchanges, either through a hack or an inside job, even for the ones who claimed to be secure.
It's not just a rhetorical question, exchanges are still popular despite the risks involved. Would all ETFs be abandoned if one of them loses funds, or would people still continue using them?

We all know nothing is really secure when almost everything is accessible online. We have heard stories of billions of dollars lost through hacking in the financial world. But did it stop people from using banks? I think the fact they are insuring people's investments is the key here as it takes away some of the risk involved in being your own bank.

“Our system would operate on a layer above the blockchain, and we’d keep our own omnibus ledger apart from the blockchain,” explains Loeffler. The Bakkt design isn’t revolutionary. It closely resembles a technology called “the lightning network” that’s already in use. In the lightning network, the same two participants, say an appliance-maker and a parts supplier, engage in multiple Bitcoin transactions. As long as the parties are using a fixed number of Bitcoins to buy, sell from one another, and store for that purpose, the transactions aren’t reported to the blockchain, and zap back and forth within the same ecosystem.

Once Wall Street gets the flywheel whirring, Bitcoin would gain the liquidity to become a bona fide currency. Sprecher and Loeffler predict that multinationals would then adopt Bitcoin for international payments. “The banks control international payments, and the system is very expensive,” notes Sprecher.

”Bitcoin would greatly simplify the movement of global money,” says Sprecher. “It has the potential to become the first worldwide currency.”

409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bounty not an investment? on: June 30, 2018, 09:12:07 PM
Bounties are investment. First of all, you actually work for those bounties. For example, you are a coder that earns $20/hour and you spent 4 hours a week for bounties. That's $80 a week or $320 a month. If you sell the bounty for above $320, let's say $1,000, you actually profited $680 which minus your actual work.

Opportunity cost are the key words.

I'm review in concept on your business, It is truly good.
Outstanding idea, absorbing website, mindful plan.
Yes, the developers are really impressed by their experience. A good experience in the development of applications and the conduct of such a business inspires confidence

The project needs good advertising. I have a feeling that at the moment marketing is directly involved in the development team. That is ... without advertising. A narrow range of people's awareness. If more people learned about the project - it would be a real sensation

I think they don't intend to spend a lot of money on marketing. It's better that people themselves tell each other about the application. This will save a large amount of money to maintain the product and improve its functions

I'm sure they placed the larger resources on viral marketing. But an effective campaign would also include traditional means of conveying the message. Actually, creating a mobile app is one sure way of getting noticed if the product is good. If and once they reach the top downloads list, it's already a success.

Surely this is a fame Communication. If DE want to tell something to community come here and write, surely not by private message.

First of all. The PM seems legit. He was recently active just to answer a PM.

Secondly, I suspect the reason he doesn't update the thread is because of the humiliation he will get if he posts again since no one believes him anymore.

🛑⚠️ READ BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS!!!

Initially we have paid for a total of 3 exchanges, but one of them turned out to be a scam and disappeared before we got listed.

LOLZ! My God. Why would anyone fall for a con job like that? An unknown exchange out of the blue promises to list your coin? Oh, my, such stupidity. Maybe if they bothered to check their trading platform if it was functioning or not, or there are other traders using the platform.

I don't know, guys. This sounds like a lie to me. Anyway, we will see.

Be careful of some of the so-called "influencers." Some don't even know what they are talking about, some are just posturing, some are just voted-in as an influencer by their peers. A lot of newbies got burn by some of these crypto influencers.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: June 29, 2018, 07:52:13 PM
Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak Feels, that Ethereum can Outlive the Hype

At the NEX technology conference in New York, Wozniak said  the most innovative companies that plan for the long term can survive and thrive. And Ethereum is at the top of that list.

At the WeAreDevelopers tech conference in Vienna, Wozniak said Ethereum has a chance to be as influential as Apple, the tech giant he co-founded.

As for Bitcoin, Wozniak is a well-known believer in the king of crypto, and calls it “the only digital gold.”

That's a nice story but has no impact for the sheeple dumping their ETH at a price where it could possibly be the bottom or near the bottom. Markets all around the world are the same, price fluctuations especially going down scare the shit out of people. Though it's a good story for the strong hands.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] SIRIN LABS ICO - Secure Blockchain Consumer Electronics on: June 27, 2018, 10:16:01 PM
SIRIN LABS CEO is in Tokyo this week for the Blockchain Japan Conference. The Japanese market is critical to the success of blockchain and mobile technology, and Sirin Labs is proud of the response they are getting to the community and advocates.

Yeah, Japan and Korea. If Moshe's team gets them - I'm looking at 40x in price in the near future or probably in the middle of the next bull market. I just hope they keep on working their butts off.

There was an article:
Hedgepool — Use Matchpool to Launch a Hedge Fund
Use Case Study #004 — How Matchpool Can Help You Launch Your Hedge Fund
https://blog.matchpool.com/hedgepool-use-matchpool-to-launch-a-hedge-fund-a63ffc7f9c6

And of course the competition, do not miss:
https://twitter.com/matchpool/status/1011849384055721984

I think now in this market you can buy coins at current prices, which I actually started to do.  Smiley

Good decision, even if Matchpool dumps some more, you are at least very near point of maximum financial opportunity. The only risk from this point is that Matchpool fails even before it launches.

Nice to know the Edgeless casino is still rolling out features even during this bear market. Other ICO dev projects have seemed to halt developments or became slow in their approach. The price will soon reflect their determination and steadfast hard work.
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🚀📈[ANN-ICO]ATLANT Real Estate Platform| 📈🚀🌟🌟 on: June 26, 2018, 09:42:20 AM

You must be crazy to think ANY ERC-20 token will be able to rally in this current bear market. Conditions must be met first: 1. Bitcoin stops falling, must go into rangebound price action 2. Ethereum must recover, rally or go range-bound. And only then you will see ATL go wild. Traders and investors don't like uncertainty in the whole crypto markets.
I hope that soon the bear market will end, since I heard that the Bitcoins of the Mt. Gox. Sold, or almost sold out, it seems to me in such a market it's better to keep bitcoin or Etherium, and when rally starts it's best to be in some currencies with low capitalization, Atlant's tokens will just fit, in the bull market they may have a much better chance to rise multiple times in price than Etherium for example.

I thought so too but yesterday Bitcoin price tanked again to 6000$ and I hear in media that this is not the end. There are predictions that will be 5000$ soon and the bear market will last for another 6 months. Not a prediction I wanted to hear, for sure.

Anyway, I like the fact that the ATL tokens are not dumping below 1,000 satoshis, in spite of the carnage recently with BTC dumping to $5700. Maybe the dumpers are saying this is too cheap to sell at. Imagine Atlant back at 3 million marketcap? That's a marketcap of a "Until now just a whitepaper" project.
There is a big possibility that it will dump below if bitcoin will continue to dump.
We know that the market is followed by the movement of bitcoin, even a good project is not exempted for this price dump as it's the trend
even in the past.

Maybe so. But what I see is only when Bitcoin dumps to below $4,000, only then we might see Atlant dumping to sub 1,000 satoshis because the ATL token was already trading around 1,200 sats when Bitcoin was in the $7,500 area.

Besides that it would still be really nice to see some kind of adoption or real world usage

Whoa, not even the mighty Bitcoin has that mainstream adoption or real world usage you're implying. What we would like to see for Nano is more infrastructures built or more developers developing for the Nano ecosystem.
