401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin vs XRP? on: May 13, 2023, 09:01:10 AM
Everyone is so against someone going against Bitcoin on this forum  Undecided

PEPE - a meme coin done more in a few hours than Bitcoin has done in years.
Yes it is rubbish but it made people money and that is what I am here for to make money.

Yes Bitcoin is safe but it also has limited returns compared to other altcoins.

I will take my chances with XRP - it will do a 10x in no time once it comes out they have won the case.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Bitcoin vs XRP? on: May 13, 2023, 07:40:45 AM
I have neither of the above but am leaning towards XRP.

I believe Bitcoin will reach $100k next bull run but that is less than a 4X from current price.

I have been researching more into XRP lately and have read price predictions ranging from $5 to $100 next bull run.

I dont believe XRP will reach $100 or even $50 next bull run but feel like it could reach $5 which sounds conservative compared to all the predictions I have heard but is still a 12X from current price.

I am leaning more towards XRP purely for the better possible returns. I do believe Bitcoin is here to stay but less than a 4X from current price doesn’t appeal to me.

This is my first bull run coming up and I want to put a lot of the profits I make into Bitcoin in the 2026/27 bear market to then possibly cash out in the 2028/29 bull run when Bitcoin should at least be around $200k.

Thoughts on this? Anyone more into XRP or is everyone here pro Bitcoin?

Update - The BTC transaction finally went through 6 hours ago.

I paid a low fee but took a lot longer than I expected so will keep that in mind for future. I wasnt in any rush so didn’t mind too much how long it took.
404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best time of day to send crypto from ledger to exchange? on: May 11, 2023, 10:09:05 PM
Also, I can see that I have opted in to Replace by fee (RBF) so how do I use this option and pay higher fee to speed up the transaction or is it done automatically after set amount of time has passed?
405  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best time of day to send crypto from ledger to exchange? on: May 11, 2023, 09:29:02 PM
Update - almost 5 days since the transaction and it has still not been confirmed and the BTC is no longer showing in my ledger.

The fee I selected was 37.2 and looking at mempool the rates have fallen a lot with Low priority being 38 , Medium 42 & High 45.

Does this mean I am now close to my transaction confirming?
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC calls Algorand a security - thoughts? on: May 10, 2023, 11:11:02 AM
Update - I continue to DCA into Algorand as 13p is a fantastic price right now.

Got to ignore the FUD and as Warren Buffet says - be greedy when others are fearful.
Fantastic price as in lowest in 3 years and near ATL. Yeah, i suppose it is if you want to get it as much as you can. I have nothing against DCA as a tactic and i am using it too, but it's harder to understand with an assets that i can't see having any future like personally with ALGO, but i have been wrong before.

But what i see in algo charts is that it can go lower, and since it has such a high marketcap it can go significally lower. So hopefully you have money left in 3 years to buy more if it keeps just dropping. Or at least money left to diversify to other alts as well.

Good luck and may you be prosperous and prove me wrong.

I have other alts I am invested in. I am not going heavy into Algo as I agree it can go lower , especially if we see another crash sometime this year.

I am just going to continue DCA and not be put off by the FUD.

Can i just confirm that now the transaction didnt go through and the BTC has gone back into my portfolio is that the end of that transaction or can it still go through once the 40 sats per byte is matched?
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Gala - what is your plan with the new token upgrade? on: May 08, 2023, 10:32:17 AM
I currently hold my Gala on ledger and will just hold on there till the update is released on May 15th when all Gala V1 will be converted to Gala V2.

If we fall below $0.025 I will buy a few thousand more and send over to ledger with the rest of the Gala i have as that would be too good a price to miss out on.

Wondering what everyone else is doing with their Gala are you holding strong or did you sell?
410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best time of day to send crypto from ledger to exchange? on: May 08, 2023, 09:23:00 AM
It is just first time I have seen fees this high.

2 weeks ago my fee was 40 now it is over 13x that for the same transaction.

I have just checked my ledger and my BTC is back in my portfolio so this means it just didnt go through at the rate I requested I take it?
411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best time of day to send crypto from ledger to exchange? on: May 08, 2023, 08:57:00 AM
What is going on with the fees lately?

I have just checked again to see how much it would cost to send more BTC to Coinbase and the 3 options are SLOW - 505 sat per byte MEDIUM - 506 &  FAST - 557  Shocked
412  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best time of day to send crypto from ledger to exchange? on: May 07, 2023, 08:04:28 PM
Update - 36 hours since the transaction and i have still not received my Bitcoin.

Is there a way I can track the progress and how long there is left until it completes or can I only wait?
413  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best time of day to send crypto from ledger to exchange? on: May 06, 2023, 11:10:59 AM
Hi Porfirii,

So as I have selected 40 sats per byte when the lowest I was being offered was 140, I should expect to wait a few days for the transaction to complete?
414  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best time of day to send crypto from ledger to exchange? on: May 06, 2023, 10:09:44 AM
I am very new to all this all my crypto is on ledger never heard of mempool.

It has been an hour now and it is still showing as unconfirmed , no rush.
415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best time of day to send crypto from ledger to exchange? on: May 06, 2023, 09:04:48 AM
I just sent 0.01 BTC from my ledger to Binance using the advance option on Ledger.

This allowed me to choose the sats per byte - I selected 40 as this was the same as what I was given this time last week.

How does this work now as 40 is a lot lower then the 3 options I was being offered without using the advanced option am I expected to have to wait a while now?

416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - what is your plan when we reach $100k? on: May 04, 2023, 10:49:55 AM
I expect Bitcoin to reach at least $100k at the peak of the next bull run, possibly $150k.

Just wondering what we are all planning to do when Bitcoin does reach $100k - are you selling or are you holding till the 2028/29 bull run?
100k is a great level, if we reach it in this bull market, then I will start taking profits. I think that perhaps the price can go higher, but I will not have high hopes for this. All the same, it becomes more expensive every time, and the higher the price, the more difficult it will be to show a big increase.

As I understand it, you will not sell and will wait for bull run by 2029, how do you justify your decision? I didn't take profits on the last bull run, and I see that it was not a very good decision, as it could give me more opportunities now.

What I meant was I will not cash out my profits.
I plan to take my profits from BTC once we reach around $100k and hold in a stable coin to then buy back once we drop back down to $30k or so in the next bear market.
417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - what is your plan when we reach $100k? on: May 03, 2023, 10:32:57 AM
I will sell all my Bitcoin, many people's expectation now is that Bitcoin will hit 100k or even more but I don't believe that, things can take a turn at 90k or a bit more then turn around, when your profit is good enough you should start taking and securing some because this is a game of 'you might never know', so all you have to do is start taking profit, the price target some people had was why they failed to take any profit in 2021 and they end up riding the bear market again and some took profit when things are looking too late already.

If you sell your Bitcoin in a bull market it's for the greater good, because you can buy back with the profit you made when the bears take control of the market, imagine selling my Bitcoin at 94k and buying back at 25k in the future bear market, you will get a higher number of BTC back.

Good plan but why are you not confident it will reach $100k?

If it hit $69k in 2021 and many were thinking it was going to hit $100k then , why won't it reach it this bull run with millions more people now including myself aware and into cryptocurrency?
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin - what is your plan when we reach $100k? on: May 03, 2023, 10:01:52 AM
I do not have much Bitcoin currently but I am planning to convert a lot of the profits I make in my altcoins during the bull run into BTC which I will then hold till the 2028/29 bull run.

I expect Bitcoin to reach at least $100k at the peak of the next bull run, possibly $150k.

Just wondering what we are all planning to do when Bitcoin does reach $100k - are you selling or are you holding till the 2028/29 bull run?
419  Other / Beginners & Help / Best time of day to send crypto from ledger to exchange? on: May 03, 2023, 06:49:36 AM
I have just gone to send some crypto from my ledger to Coinbase but have noticed the fees are almost 4 times more compared to when I last did this.

I last sent 0.005 BTC from my ledger to Coinbase and the fee was £1.52 - I have just gone to do this again and it is £6.20!

It was on a Saturday at 10am (UK time) when I was charged £1.52 and it is now Wednesday 7.40am where I am being asked to pay £6.20.

Is it best to send on weekends or something or a certain time of day to avoid paying high fees?
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICP - Good investment? on: April 26, 2023, 11:18:38 AM
Expecting $5 to become $400 in the near future is impossible. That's almost impossible to happen. Right now I think $10-$50 is better make sense. Currently I no longer invest in $ICP but I used to be a $ICP investor and I made a lot of profit there. But to be honest for now I choose not to invest in ICP.

I agree it is a long shot but is possible - $400 price would give it a $170billion market cap which will be a pretty average market cap in the 2028/29 bull run.

As I have already said though i will be happy with $50 price next bull run which would give me a 10x return.
