401  Economy / Securities / Re: SANDSTORM: - A Collective Investment Vehicle for BTC. - on: June 10, 2013, 07:11:09 PM
Just a quick question for investors.

JMutch (as mentioned in the prior post) has asked me about listing on BitFunder.

Sandstorm having the asset description being what it is, I would like to ask for thoughts, concerns, interests by users to see this listed. (or not..) Smiley
And please, fully explain reasoning for not's. Wink

Thanks,
Ukyo

I like bitfunder design and fast transaction, however some of the figures are not updating in real time, like trade history, BTC balance, If real time takes too much server load, I'd like to see Refresh button instead of reloading the whole page.

Everything is real time.

The only thing I can think of is that after doing a trade, the balances may not reflect correctly.
I will probably have a fix for this in the next day or so.

Hey Ukyo,

While you're taking care of all those new features, could you implement a setting that makes it so I never lose BTCitcoin on an asset?  Cheesy

Thanks in advance!

If only I could. Wink

Seriously though,

The charts are useless at present. I just leave them off. A good charting system needs many options.

It would be nice to have a pathway out for bitcoin other than just through weed (sp?) ex. Possibly you could charge a withdrawal fee for a direct path out?

I like the fill button, but could you also provide an average cost when trading at multiple prices?

I do a lot of trading on iPhone & iPad platforms because of speed and portability. Can you spend some time making interfaces for smaller windows more user friendly. You just can't see the bid and ask pricing lists at the same time. Touch scrolling doesn't always work properly.

I am working on a newer advanced buy/sell box area that gives a lot more details Smiley

Most users want exact total when using the fill buttons, but I do agree that an average is nice to know also.

I guess I will be buying an iPad soon just to test things out.

Answer support requests?  Smiley

Hi Jmutch,

You had additionally contacted me on IRC in which I replied to you there asking for more data.
406  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: WeExchange - is anyone home? on: June 05, 2013, 06:59:49 PM
Hello,

To be able to send us funds, the page tells you that you must be verified beforehand.

The system has been this way for weeks now. At least 3~4.

Unfortunately we are required (as Gox and others who are doing things properly) to only accept deposits from accounts with the same name and information as the person we have on file.

We will be implementing a change to the system requiring a banking document very soon that will help alleviate this problem.

I apologize that the ticket has had poor response times. Currently WeExchange is backlogged with hundreds of tickets regarding failures with the ripple system.

We have recently reached a decision and made progress towards ensuring ripple tickets will no longer be an issue, and have been manually processing all the requests for the ripple tickets.
Very soon this will no longer be an issue.

If the sending bank account was not in your name, and you are the one verified, we will have to return the funds.
If you setup the account with a wrong name by accident, then you will just need to open a ticket requesting a name change, and then provide proper ID Verification documents.

WeExchange has a new site prepping to launch, and we have a handful of beta users. The new site has details and everything presented in an easier to understand method.

If you PM me your WeExchange ticket ID, I will be more than happy to do what I can to push it through.
The above mentioned is currently the only option for you though.

I am sure everyone is probably well aware of the recent Liberty Reserve and other mass shutdowns and seizures due to not following proper AML/KYC procedures.

We are extremely committed to ensuring the safety of our business and client funds, and have specific procedures set fourth by many organizations that we pretty much roll into one over-cautious version.

I hope you can understand the reasoning behind why we must reject it, and would like to sincerely apologize for if it may not have been presented to you up front as expected.

I will have the guys put a quick notice on the current ANZ Deposit page for future reference.

Thank You,
Jon Montroll

What's the time zone for the trade times on BitFunder?

CDT.

Soon things will default to UTC, and allow logged in users to set their timezone in the preferences.
408  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] G.ASICMINER-PT on: June 04, 2013, 02:32:38 PM
Why does the 24- or 48-hour low for G.ASICMINER-PT in the BitFunder Market page reflect lows that do not show up in the transaction history and that are well below the top bids?

At the moment the 48-hour low was 0.95 and a few days ago, it was 1.0. Neither price has shown up in recent trades since April.

My guess is a bug where it's showing options being exercised.  (purely a guess, from a fellow exchange op's perspective.)

I have noticed same behavior with other shares too. Likely a bug

Ahh, I will check on that. It is very likely. Smiley
This is why I hide Option trades everywhere else. It just confuses people.
409  Economy / Securities / Re: BitFunder - Lets grow together! A request to all users - https://bitfunder.com on: June 03, 2013, 09:07:05 PM
bug : ATM it is possible to place sell orders for a total amount of ฿184467440737.09551615 per share. Needless to say this exceeds the total amount of bitcoin ever issued.

I suppose I could put a max trade price of 10,000 btc. It would just be an impossible trade.

Thanks for pointing it out. Smiley

add good yubikey support (register several keys, can't remove yubikey auth. without yubikey, set conditions that require yubikey authorisation)
it's also annoying that I can't open an asset in a new tab with the middle mousebutton

I think you are the second person to ask for Yubikey support.
I will look into it. Smiley

As for the asset page, I was just discussing changes for it with TAT earlier today that will make things better for a lot of people I think.

You can disable the chart in your account settings: https://bitfunder.com/settings "Asset Charts: Not Dosplayed"

For the record it does actually say 'Not Displayed' Wink

Thanks paul! Smiley

414  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Kenilworth Exploration - Real World Mining Opertunity with Bitcoins on: June 03, 2013, 12:23:27 AM
Sorry, wrong exchange. That's a dealbreaker for me.

.b

- Could you elaborate on that?
Also thank you for your comment.- All questions and comments are welcome -

Bitfunder uses an external payment provider that looks extremely sketchy and has been having major trouble with simple stuff like accepting users with non-English characters in their names (like me). I don't trust the site so I won't trade shares there.

Which is too bad because I was looking forward to this IPO.

.b

EDIT: If you want to look at other exchanges that do not impose this added hassle and security caveat on your shareholders, BTCT and Havelock are both interesting exchanges. A listing on LTC Global might also be interesting as it will further increase your potential market for the shares.

Hey Furuknap,

As I stated, the issue was that the mail service provider was rejecting the emails. Not much we can do about that. Smiley
415  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] AMC-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: June 01, 2013, 04:10:09 AM
Why did the shares just dissappear ?

Ken was offline when I made the forum post letting him know he can set the price however he wants.
When he came back online I suggested he might want to take them down temporarily while we talked in case of abuse.

As I told Ken, I am not requiring him to set a price, but would like him to make a statement in the Summary regarding the shares as previously mentioned so newer investors can be informed of the status of shares.

It sounded as if he plans to put the remaining 1mil shares back up at the 0.0005 and let those run their course.

Ukyo thanks for the update.  Also quick shoutout love the site.  Since there is a large sum of bids crowding at .0005 right now for clarification does your matching engine do FIFO.

Yes, FIFO is only fair. Smiley

Also, I have asked Ken if he would be willing (with an NDA if need be) to share some of his work and allow me to see a bit of what he's working on so I can at least tell people that there are things happening. I think we would all be interested in seeing what comes of this and should solve some concerns.
417  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] AMC-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: June 01, 2013, 03:14:23 AM
Excuse the rude words, but are you all utterly retarded? It is clear that the issuer does not care about giving shares value (because they have none). He just wants as much of your Bitcoins as possible.

I have a feeling not much people check the forums, I'm going to make a PSA soon as a news article on BitFunder

Do you trust an asset that has being force delisted previously by BitFunder?

To clarify, AMC originally had some mis-calculated numbers, and users were buying in at that time based on those numbers.
The re-listing was a necessary evil to refund the users who bought in to the wrong information, so it could correct the estimates and relist.
418  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] AMC-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: June 01, 2013, 03:12:11 AM
So we still have a major conflict.

One group wants shares to be sold at 0.0005, and are mad if they are not.
Another group who has bought in at the higher prices which Ken here has determined is "okay" around 0.0008.
Currently he has 1.1mil shares up at 0.0005, and has an "IPO" that states he can sell the first 20 million "Early Adopter" shares at no less than 0.0005.

Code:
AMC may issue up to 20,000,000 "Early-Adopters" shares which may be posted for no less than 0.0005 BTC
each and will also issue 20,000,000 growth and expansion fund shares to AMC. The "Early-Adopter" shares
may be posted in batches with the first batch being 5,000,000 shares.

Up to now, Ken has allowed price to push upwards, and then sell back down.
This has made many many people mad, as they buy in at a high price, not knowing that the price was gonna get cut in half the next day or hour.

Issuers have certain responsibilities to investors. One of which is to give them heads up on how they are releasing shares.

Right now, the current method of release is "However many I want, whenever I want, just not under 0.0005" and this has done nothing but cause massive problems for users all around and proper notifications of share releases should be given to investors.

I was just having a conversation with Ken on IRC where he lost connection in the middle and has yet to reconnect.

As of this point I am going completely hands off with AMC.

Official statement regarding AMC:
"As long as AMC does not sell it's shares below 0.0005 then they may do as they please with their shares. It is their company, their ownership, and their shares."

Ken, I ask you to at least post some sort of statement in the asset Summary that states AMC may sell shares as it sees fit in whatever quantities deemed necessary.
While this should be obvious for anyone who reads the agreement, it misses many. Also, a comment along the lines of "During the IPO, not all shares may be posted as an ASK." I think this will help with the people who can not tell if there is an IPO or what is going on. As of this point, no one knows if they are getting IPO shares or not.

419  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] AMC-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: May 31, 2013, 11:31:08 PM
The description does not say that, and it controls.

Can someone translate?

Sorry for the legal ease.  The description says that AMC may post the shares at no less that .0005

I think the issue is that the vast number of shares you are trying to sell, in comparison to the market, is huge.
It seems to me, that people would like you to set an official amount of shares at prices. This is why the tier method has worked in the past.

Perhaps you should say up to X shares will be Y price, and then Z shares will be A price, etc.. and use reasonable numbers.
I am sure the shareholder would much rather have that.

My two cents.
420  Economy / Securities / Re: BitFunder - Lets grow together! A request to all users - https://bitfunder.com on: May 31, 2013, 09:29:13 PM
I tried out bitfunder and btct, but have consolidated all my funds over on btct for a couple reasons:

Notifications: with btct I get an email every time I buy, sell or get a dividend. With BitFunder I only knew if my orders had been filled if I load the site, log in, click a couple links to find the transaction history. At the very least a message should show up when you load the site which shows your activity since your last visit.

Charts: Your current charts seem to load slow and do not really give very good information. Instead of having the x-axis have one equally spaced point for each trade, the x-axis should be time and the points should be grouped according to the time.

Minimum withdrawal: I also think this is a bit high, especially since the price of bitcoins went up a factor of ten since you originally set the minimum.

Hmm, very good points.

As for the withdraw, you think 0.01btc is too high?
