I upgraded the firmware on my s2. I can login to the web ui with my password, but cannot change the password in the web ui. it says password invalid.
cannot SSH into it either... password invalid. I tried all the firmware listen in GITHUB.
whats the damn problem??? I need to ssh into it.

IN : /etc/init.d/cgminer You will see the following line of code PARAMS="$AOPTIONS $POOL1 $POOL2 $POOL3 $_pb $_ow $_bec --api-listen --api-network --bitmain-checkn2diff --bitmain-hwerror --queue 4096" Change it to this line of code PARAMS="$AOPTIONS $POOL1 $POOL2 $POOL3 $_pb $_ow $_bec --api-listen --api-network --bitmain-checkn2diff --bitmain-hwerror --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1" Worked for me.. that helped a lot. thanks

they could also add more chips at a lower voltage and freq. like the s2 compared to s1
|

factory reset, still doesn't accept password. no way to change it on the web UI. its accepted root/root to login to the web ui. but "change password" doesn't accept "root" as the password, and SSH doesn't either.
this firmware is fucked going to revert back

I upgraded the firmware on my s2, now the password has changed, and its not root. what the fuck

i'll give it a shot and report back. thanks

I know people say it doesn't matter. but it seems like it does...
I get a lot of discarded shares using westhash... my s2 has an average ghash of ~880 because of the discarded shares, when I point it at say eligius. no discarded shares and averages 1000ghash.
pretty much the same thing at westhash with s1 and s3s...
can I adjust diff to lower discarded shares, what are discarded shares? why does it lower the hash rate with lots of discarded??

namecoin right now is basically get a little bit more out of mining bitcoin when you can
|
|
|
probably just something to do with the pool

|

I checked and I got a namecoin payment, must be working again

im getting a lot of rejected speed for my antminer s2 I let it go for a while but it almost always has 200ish gh rejected.
it has the latest s2 firmware with newer cgminer on it...
any help??
edit, it actually seems to be working better now with the upgraded firmware... only getting 21gh reject now.
I do get a lot of discarded shares tho

The Frequency & ASIIC is working fine for S1 but isn't working on for the S3, any chance you know what needs to be changed? Also
Can you select your S3 miner and click the "View Details..." button. Got to the API Console tab, type the command "stats", and send me the result ( info@awesomeminer.com). Thanks! I have a BTC Garden, Antminer S1, & Antminer S3 miners each in a separate group. Would it be possible have Progress field customization tied to the Group; that way each group could have a different customization?
That is currently not supported, but it was a good suggestion for future development. s3 has bug on the stats output, invalid json if you lpok,in the cgminer thread i posted about it

Appreciate the offer but I want to sell all of them in one go. I could spend the next month selling these on eBay but I just don't have that kind of time.
p.s. these units are in Seattle, WA.
good luck

I applied cgminer 4.6.0 to my S3, and everything still works. I'm using firmware dated 'Thu Aug 7 10:56:26 CST 2014'.
What's different between yours and mine?
M
I can look ay mine later tonight to see, from what I remember it was saying cgmijnwr version was 3.12.0

if you just take the returned JSON string and do a replace on "}{" with "},{" it'll fix the returned JSON.
also the "stats" command returns an array of stats like before, except the 0 is some weird stats that no one cares about and 1 is the info we're wanting, before 0 was the good stuff
so if you just return the second object in that array you'll get the info ya need.

Hi there M ok so i may have done something bad https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671189.6340I went and upgraded my CG miner for a more stable platform, nice right - but now my beloved Antmonitor is not working ARIIIIIIIEEEEEEGHHHHH!!!!!!! comes back with - 13/09/2014 1:22:20 p.m.: ERROR when querying S3:1.101:80 (step 1): After parsing a value an unexpected character was encountered: {. Path 'STATS[0]', line 1, position 180. please help have i done something wrong? regards RJ The API output from the S3s is, at best, malformed IMHO. As I posted in the S3 thread, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the API output changes enough with the "real" cgminer that it breaks my monitor. The problem I have is I currently have one S3. It's difficult for me to support all the varying configurations out there all at once. It seems that these are all different for S3: - the very most recent firmware from bitmain, the one that the hash didn't match the posted one - the one before that one (has malformed JSON output) - the one before that one (has output from one API call mixed in with another) - cgminer 4.6 I've got the middle two covered right now. I'm going to try to add support for cgminer, and then the most recent firmware as soon as I get confirmation from someone that it's legit. It's awkward with one S3, and I'll be an unhappy camper if I brick it. M the json returned from the stats called is invalid. its missing a , and they also changed the structure of the returned data. i just got my batch 8 s3s today. and can confirm its not right.,check out the cgminer sticky thread. i have it posted there. ill post the specific stats json difference when i get back on my dev comp

This constant angst over a few GHs is so pointless. Just let these things run and quit wasting your time and energy trying to squeeze out (literally) a couple of extra pennies. Downtime from messing with settings and firmware and reapplying thermal paste is doing more harm than good to your earnings.
I agree... I used to have extra exhaust fans on my s1's til I realized how pointless that was and just wasting more power. I don't know why people waste so many hours re-applying thermal paste,etc.. for a few ghs and also the wasted mining from downtime. I do think there is nothing wrong with oc'ing, upgrading firmware, and updating cgminer. Those things are really easy and don't require too much tinkering. Also with the updated cgminer, the webui is much more responsive due to reduced load. when I added secondary fans to my s1 I think the temps actually went up... the fans in the back couldn't spin fast enough
