401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 18, 2024, 10:10:05 PM
It didnt last long because just before the half-time whistle Madrid got a goal back but i don't really know if it was Modric or Jan Oblak own goal but its 1-1 now.
This match is still pretty much the same as before IMO where for the first half they are still trying to hold each other although in the semifinal match it was actually more interesting but this time in the first half the two clubs wanted to wait for one of them to confront.

I think for the second half it will be more interesting if you look at the situation that happened in the first half they should be hotter in the second half.

The goal is an own goal awarded to Oblak and not registered a Modric goal. I thought I was the only one that has notice how cold the first half and the start of this second half is. Both teams are actually pretty putting same energy as the first half this is because they are very wary of each other and that’s why the game each is like this, other games Real Madrid usually gives the ball more to Atletico Madrid and then try to hit them on counter and this game seems like Atletico aren’t playing to that level and Madrid are actually a bit confuse.

Ahh Morata doubles it for Atletico Madrid, this press is definitely not going towards plans and I think they might lose this one and get knocked out. Real Madrid as always not taken this competition seriously even in the past but this two meeting now is just so early to me, let’s see what they play in the remain minutes

There are so many ugly stories untold, behind his timely success... would you believe that too?? Sometimes, maybe he had to sell off his old ride or give it out as a collateral, just to try his luck and it cut...

AFAIK, there are so many scandalous act recorded all through the years(ever since gambling was accepted), that has risen the public's attention and have been summed up by apprehending the culprits involved... nobody wants to be sentenced for squandering people's funds on gambling so he was solely responsible for his fate... Good or bad
I had to bring that to your notice just Incase you feel gambling hasn't made any negative impact.. mind you, he never said anything about his challenges overtime.

Sandra 🧑‍🦰

Seriously I agree with you on this, in fact the gambler rushing off to buy a rid for transit that means he has all long planned on what he will use the money for ones he wins, same thought as you he might have lost something valuable like the ride he later bought or might have depended on gambling in the past and lost way too much and had a pre plan that one’s he wins he will execute the current plans, I strongly doubt this is a story of a first timer, although there could be such person since we have extremely brilliance and business oriented minded people here too.

So even if he fluke his way into the gambling and got lucky, i Believe even after investing he will still come back to the casino or site again to gamble more because that’s our nature and no body will actually wants to leave off where he gets money from. He will want to go and try his luck again
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 17, 2024, 10:40:10 PM
Why does it look boring if Manchester City wins the UCL trophy again this season. In terms of strength, they are still sufficient and all their lines have quality players so they will be ready to advance to the final this season. If a team can balance its performance in every match by winning, isn't that their strength to win the trophy again? Manchester City swept all the matches in the group stage by winning and that shows how strong they are this season.

Of course, only two teams performed perfectly by winning every match they played, of course those two teams were none other than Real Madrid and Manchester City. These two teams are the strongest compared to other teams this season, even for Bayern munich, they are also believed to be able to fulfill their hopes of reaching the final this season. The opportunity for Manchester City may be quite big this season because Kevin return to the team will make them strong again this season.

Manchester City have always come out from the group stage in near perfect result this to me is because they are always lucky to get drawn in an easy group either it is group of Porto and other less competitive clubs or a club like Leipzig and the same less competitive league. So I don’t actually count there group stage success at all. Madrid on the other hand usually comes out scrambling from the group only to get better in the later stages. So this season performances isn’t just there yet help us judge who will be crown the champions as I will leave my predictions till after maybe the round of 16 to see how each of these teams will perform.

On current form though I will have to say both clubs will definitely be heavy favourite to win it. Other contenders can be Bayern Munich who I think they have improved since the arrival of Harry Kane although there is still an imbalance in that midfield and defense of theirs that against a better opponent they will suffer against if they don’t find a solution to it
404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a different kind of wonder on: January 17, 2024, 10:04:07 PM
That's true but I think it should start after we get close to mass adoption not now that we are still far away. I believe that the reason why the bubbles and bursts are decreasing over the past couple of years is because of the subsequent economic crisis at global scale. Basically ever since 2019-2020 we were in crisis mode with Pandemic and now the Wars. That significantly affects bitcoin's adoption and consequently the size of the bubbles.

In other words I believe that if the economic crisis were to end today and they decreased interest rates we would start seeing the biggest bubble so far and half a million as the peak is not going to be that hard to reach.

These are definitely some of the reason for the less volatility we are currently having, I will also like to add that probably the less FOMO we have in the market now due to many people looking at bitcoin as a store of value and a good hedge against inflation they are reluctant to sell. In the past it is this sale that actually lead to massive sell during bull run and also in bearish periods to due to the fear of missing out. But right now even at both market trends people aren’t scared because they now know the real potential of bitcoin and will rather hold very long to it which I will say has directly affected the volatility rate that it is very hard at this time to see bitcoin do a 5x from its ATH like before.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 17, 2024, 04:35:04 PM
Yes, but regardless Mourinho will be suitable for the Chelsea's team at the moment and possibly put Chelsea back into fighting for the top 4 position than having Pochettino still managing the club, at least Chelsea won't be experience all this humiliation losses they've got under Pochettino all this while. Imagine Chelsea still not qualify for Champions League next season having them end the season like this, it will definitely reduce the interest of big players to the club.

Interms of experience Mourinho is by far a better option but let’s not forget that even him couldn’t rally back Roma to the champions league, I wouldn’t say he can’t do that with Chelsea but we are disputing the fact that this Chelsea squad is having some major problems beyond coaching ability. That problem is the recruitment, the way Chelsea have been buying players without proper strategy the signing of some big money players like Lavia seem a bit out of the question for me, they should have prioritized an attacking midfielder then and then a proper striker wasn’t Also considered. During The era of The former owner Roman Abrahmovic things weren’t like this, the coach makes the transfer decision and the sporting director. So I don’t see Pochettino
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 16, 2024, 10:05:23 PM
To be honest i think that match was one of their hardest this season and Xabi Alonso would had really cracked his brains to make sure he gets 3 points from the game, if you observed very well you'll see that they were very dominant and passive but luck wasn't on their side when it comes to finding the back of the net. It took them about 24 shots with 6 on target just to score a lucky goal that gave them the 3 points, Augsburg would had exposed their wickness if they had won or drawn Leverkusen, but the constant pressure from Leverkusen caused them to give up at last.

I think Leverkusen should use this game as an eye opener for the outcome of their upcoming fixtures if they don't cover some of their errors, other teams might begin to come up with a pattern of beating them and ending the unbeaten record they've kept this season. Leipzig is a team they shouldn't take chances with, cause they could  be more dangerous than Augsburg.

I wouldn’t say that match was the hardest or most difficult match for Bayern Leverkusen, the game against Bayern Munich is actually the toughest they have had last season. The game against Augsburg was just a real of resilience, it was the first game after the winter break and everyone will definitely be relaxed and that’s why the players were a bit down in the game. This weekend game against Leipzig is definitely part of those games that will be a tittle decider, Leipzig have cemented there status as a top club since they got promoted to the Bundesliga and they can beat just any team. Throughout this season I have been confident in almost all the game Bayer Leverkusen had played but this one is just so unpredictable.

The injury to Boniface is definitely a huge blow to them although even if he wasn’t injured he will still be on AFCON duties so it was already known that he will miss this game. Still they have a strike problem because the second option is which is Patrick Shick seems to be way out of form at the moment. I could remember when Shick was at the top of his game, right now they will definitely need that old Shick back. Dropping points this January wouldn’t be a good start for them seriously but I still predict they will win because Xabi Alonso always comes out with some plans
407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 16, 2024, 09:32:20 PM
Sabitzer would had been a good signing if not for Injury that caused him to lose his form in the club, if you noticed he left United and went to play for Leipzig and he's doing well over there currently. Manchester united were impatient and needed quick action, they didn't need another Injury prone player that would make the team more weaker, however I wonder why they went for Mason Mount that's in same situation to Sabitzer and has been battling with injury since he came into the team, we're yet to see the best of him.

The Striker position is something Manchester united shouldn't joke with in this ongoing window, they need a good partner for Hojlund so as not to be stressing Marcus Rashford to play that position, Martial is not a serious play and should be in a team like united, there's a lot of reasons why I think he shouldn't be in that team,  and they should either stick with getting an experienced Benzema or fight hard to get young and very vibrant Guirassy.

Sabitzer didn’t actually even lose form he just couldn’t play regular due to injury and United didn’t go with the option of making the deal permanent for $25M but what baffled me was they actually new they wanted a central midfielder after the failed attempt to sign De Jong from Barca but there are other options why then did they go for a player like mount whose favourite position is the Attacking midfield which they have options in Bruno Fernandez and Erickson, even though they didn’t sign Sabitzer they should either sticked with Fred or go for a true central midfielder and not convert some player.

Sabitzer returned back to Bayern but was later sold to Dortmund and not Leipzig, he was in Leipzig first before going Bayern with Julian Neglesmann and when the German got sacked he didn’t break into Tuchel’s team but right now he is bossing it In Dortmund which I am happy for him.

Which gas fee are you talking about?
Not gas fee he is referring to transaction fee as bitcoin doesn’t use gas fee.

Quote
you will be forced to pay a high fee since the output won't be a single one.

This time around it will be the input that will be more since he seems to have plenty of UTXOs.

To put it simply, I developed a mint inscription tool, and then they donated about 5,000 transactions to me, and each transaction was (2000 Satoshi).
Now I find that I can't get these Bitcoins because I need a lot of gas. This is a cost I cannot accept Cry

This will definitely cost you way too much because 2000 satoshi is just 0.00002 bitcoin and it’s less than a dollar (0.86) at the moment, your total amount should be around 0.1 bitcoin ($4,300) but still it is not enough to send this transaction as the fee is way higher due to many utxo
409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 16, 2024, 02:43:53 PM
Nah both Sabitzer and Weghorst weren't successful, Manchester United should have extend their contracts if they're successful. There's no reason to include Benzema into the squad, they have Rashford, Hojlund and Martial, more than enough if one of them is injured.

Manchester United need to search new center back player since they're don't have good defenders.

Sabitzer was ditch as a result of him being always injured then but I will say Manchester United made a mistake because he should have been signed after recovering. Sabitzer was a central midfielder that can play any of the role in the midfield and Manchester United was lacking such players and they later went on to sign Mason Mount who to me isn’t a central midfielder but just an attacking midfielder. This shows that Manchester United do not have proper recruitment team if not you can’t leave a player that has your similar qualities and go for another player who is more expensive and play him out of position.

As for a striker yes Manchester United need one, the three players you mentioned above only one is a proper striker. Martial has been with united for over 5 years and he can’t play consistently and that has really affected Manchester United, I think it is the right time to sell him. As for Rashford we all know he doesn’t play well from the striker position as he likes to play from the left wing and he is only deployed as a striker when there is injury crisis. Now only Hojlund is a striker but since his arrival he has failed to leave up to expectations and that was expect because he is so young and a new striker will relive him some pressure.

As for a new striker I don’t think they need to go for Benzema because is just a short fix and going for him will be a waste of time and funds to me. They missed the opportunity of signing Harry Kane they just need to go for another long term fix. A player like Serhour Guirassy is up the market for just around $25M

Currently, all we can see are only rumors. Mbappe has still shown no sign of wanting to leave PSG, but he is also not in talks for a new contract.  This is something everyone is curious about, not only PSG but also clubs that might be interested in Mbappe, such as Madrid.
The possibility that could justify this scenario is that Madrid sold Vinicius to bring in Mbappe. that's what we hear, but will Madrid throw away their young star? Does Madrid also lack the funds to bring in Mbappe? If that happens, Man United shouldn't be Vinicius' place. that's what I expected.

Vinicius been sold to bring in Mbappe? I will tell you this are just mere rumors that some media houses spread just to get click bait. If you look at the details of the contracts awarded to both Vinicius and Rodrigo you will notice a hefty release clause of around $1bn this simply means that Madrid is definitely looking at the longer term future with this young stars, so I don’t see Madrid selling off Vinicius to acquire Mbappe. Mbappe even if he is coming is coming as a free agent the only thing Madrid have to worry about is his wages which wouldn’t be a problem. About Madrid facing any FFP charges if they sign him, I will say no because since last 2 seasons now Madrid isn’t made any Marquee signing except Bellingham, this was done as a result to avoid all this FFP mess when they sign someone like Mbappe.

Currently I am also not too sure that Mbappe will move to Madrid, the French giant PSG have actually cooked something up that is actually enticing the player to Stay. It is his home land maybe they might have convinced him to actually stay so that he will be the face of the league because if he leaves then they aren’t any body to hold the league’s flag in players ranking anymore. Further more it seems even Madrid are aware of this new development and they have highlighted Osihmen as a potential candidate Should they miss out. He is also a viable alternative seriously, he is what Madrid needs in that front three and will not be a bad addition
412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF on: January 13, 2024, 02:41:10 PM
Lol at everyone who said ETF was gonna push BTC to the moon. Yes it will at leat in the short term they said.

What's funny is the fake news pushed it much higher than the actual real news. So you know the hackers are totally the same people manipulating price at exchange.

What's funnier is despite $4B volume on Day 1 trading, price is going all the way to 42k. ETF is for gamblers, not Bitcoin users.

The thing is this anticipation of getting will definitely have an impact as we known they some people who will trust bitcoin more now with it been in the hands of an institution but do we really think that this buys or say demands will outweigh the selling price,  not for now at least maybe in a long run. As for the institutions although I don’t buy the ETF idea they wouldn’t themselves just jump in and buy all the bitcoins they want no, they will definitely have to wait and study around look for more people coming to get the spot and probably wait for a retracement and then buy. This people are not in for a quick 2x they have their Plans mostly for a longer term and then they execute it. One thing I usually say is bitcoin is different from pump and dump coins just go in for a long term and That’s when you will probably be in profits. Short term investors are always the ones panicking.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Anyone accelerate my stuck transaction on: January 12, 2024, 11:16:12 PM

It is no longer a weekend situation as it used to be with spam on the main chain. It used to be a few months back when the Bitcoin network did not have spam within the blockchain. The problem will keep on increasing unless the developers come up with a solution. Whereas they are busy contemplating whether they would need spammers or increase the block size.

Yes during the heated or the heavy congestion of transactions in the Mempool the customer weekends weren’t as effective as they were in the past times but still they had better or much reduced fee rather than the one’s experienced in the weekdays before that time. Just like LoyceV said the fee rate for transactions during the weekdays was lower in fact around 50sats up ward as such we will be seeing a decrease in the weekend fee rate and the 27Sats/vbyte looks ok to getting confirmed in the weekend
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 12, 2024, 10:56:27 PM

Yeah, I’m not sure why they have decided to bring Werner in. I guess it’s on loan so essentially risk free.

Son is at the Asian Cup too so they will need somebody to step up in his absence. I am doubtful Werner will come close to replicating the influence Son has.

Yes the Werner signing was definitely a huge surprise to everyone as no one will think both the club and the player himself will make such move after the last stint the player had in the premier league which was not convincing at all. But I thought about what the player will offer after it was revealed that it was Ange’s decision to sign him i will say he looks like someone that will fit in. Ange’s pattern is mostly playing a high line and this formation needs someone very quick in the striker role and that’s why Son was switched there. Just like everyone is saying if Werner can time his runs well he will definitely be big threat in the league. Postecoglu has been excellent to me with his signings so far, players like Van de ven, Sarr brought back from loan and also  Vicario who have been superb too.

Timo Werner flourishes in this kind of formations, even though he struggled in the premier league he did help them to win the champions league with that playing time. If this time he gets his running well and stay offside he will definitely help Spurs
415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 12, 2024, 10:38:10 PM
Everyone must know it, Man City is much stronger than Newcastle. Man City performance also looks more consistent than Newcastle performance. It is quite surprising that Newcastle dropped their performance very much. They only won 1 match and got 4 loses in the last 5 matches. I don't know what's happening with Newcastle, but their performance are very different compared with previous season. They could finish in UCL zone last season (top 4), but they look like very difficult to finish in the top 5 this season. Considering this matter, Man City should win the match against Newcastle. Moreover, Man City needs full points to compete for the title this season. They still have the chance to chase Liverpool in the 1st place if Man City can keep winning in the remaining of the matches. So, I believe Man City will win the match although Newcastle will try to play defensively. The positive result got by Newcastle in previous home match, never guarantee to get good result against Man City.

Newcastle United were actually great last season that they lost fewer games like five in total last season but this season already they have lost nine already with the second half of the season even yet to start. I was hoping they would build on the excellent season they had last season, but the reverse is the case. I would blame there poor season mainly on injuries. Most of their first team players were injure and some are still going out currently like the likes of jeolington who has joined them. This game between city will be intense for them because the both teams had already meet twice this season with each club wining one at piece.

Even after all the players Chelsea bought during the summer and rebuilding whole the team, they are now about to hire another player to improve their team and the next player for Chelsea is Evan Ferguson the player of Brighton.
However, hearing this Irish player will cost around 120 million euros for Chelsea.
Evan Ferguson scored 6 goals in all the 18 matches we saw and he scored three goals against Newcastle during this season.

Evan Ferguson is a promising player and very talented but a 120 million for an unbaked player is definitely a huge risk. The player doesn’t get regular football playing time because of injuries affecting him. Brighton we’re definitely predicted to put a ridiculous price on the player. I would rather Chelsea go splash that on Osihmen or on players like Aston Villa Ollie Watkins at least there own market evaluation is less than 100 million
416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Bitcoin price history is important on: January 12, 2024, 07:20:04 PM
2019 was one of the bearish years where the price of Bitcoin had dropped following the dump started in 2018. Knowing Bitcoin price history is important but we still cannot speculate things with the past though we can relate it like we have seen bull run whenever halving has taken place (follows the next year from the halving year), reason I am saying we cannot predict or speculate based on price history is because I used to follow the same and in last couple of Decembers we haver seen Bitcoin dumping hence I though December brings this jinx which was not the case in 2023 as in the month of December in fact Bitcoin prospered even further.  But price history helps un in making calculated steps.

That’s why only technical analysis like past bitcoin price history is not the only thing that most bitcoin traders look into there is also the fundamental analysis which plays a major role in the price movement. Just like the example you brought about the last quarter of 2023 been bullish instead of the regular bearish market we see most especially if it is year to bitcoin halving I will say it was fundamental like the hype around the just approved bitcoin ETF that made it so.

You could remember that whenever a rumor is spread the market reacts to such rumors either by falling if was a negative one and by pumping if it was a positive one. Fundamentals play same role as technical in bitcoin price. Some few examples of these are government policies on cryptocurrency, regulations and also news around exchanges or banks like hacks or bankruptcy. Some economical effect too like recession or inflation rate also contributes to the situation surrounding the bitcoin price reaction
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 11, 2024, 10:28:06 PM
Barcelona didn't get a surprising result and made it to the finale in the Super Cup.  Smiley  They didn't feel a serious threat against Osasuna even though the game was played at a neutral location. I thought the finale would be on a far date from now but unlike that it is only two days later. It is going to be really lovely to watch another El Clasico very soon.

Real Madrid are of course the favoured side. They have already been doing much better than Barcelona in other competitions. I think they will show their performance quality in this finale as well to become the champions. Xavi had better prepare his players in the best way for a tough challenge.

Yes the final can’t be played in a far later date because the competition is not played in Spain but currently they are in Qatar/Saudi which they will need to round up the game and then come back to face the league again. Personally I will second your prediction that  Madrid will win this final. Barcelona aside the financial problems they are facing they also have a very poor luck on players getting injured. Yes even Madrid have injuries with almost all their center backs out for long term with the likes of Camavinga and Touchémani even playing in those positions but still with this crisis they have managed their situation well not like Barcelona and for This I seriously will be predicting their win
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 11, 2024, 10:12:54 PM
I don’t think Sancho should have moved back to Dortmund, he could have gone to a big club in the EPL and build his career. Dortmund is a good club but they are not a trophy-winning club. His career is not going to grow as fast as it would if he was in a EPL club. It’s likely that Sancho will find his form now that he is back in Dortmund, the Bundesliga is easier than the premier league. The club has always been a young star development club.

I wish Sancho and Erik Ten Hag could have settled their differences, Manchester United signed him for a lot of money, it’s a shame to see him go.

Actually with the nature of his departure from Manchester United or let’s say his reluctancy not to apologize many top clubs in England where Sceptical about going him for him same case as that of Ronaldo. The wages again is another reason for top clubs not to even bother making a proposal. Before leaving Manchester United Sancho was the fifth highest earner in the entire league. Any club coming in for him will certainly be wary of that. Also some clubs didn’t make a move because Sancho ideally wasn’t even playing so well or to just is pay in the league and some clubs already figure out that the league might be too difficult for him. Dortmund definitely is the right place for him because he doesn’t need to do some mind for settling down in a new location and the current coach trust him

Yes because of the high amount that Manchester United place on him they still don’t want to sell at this time because they think it will almost be a waste of money that’s why they choose the loan option at least if he picks up form then even if they decide to sell him they Will realize a reasonable amount of money.

There has been some recent news about Mbappe, Haaland and Madrid at the moment.
We know that the rumors about these two young players are very close to Madrid and at the moment it seems that Madrid has a strong ultimatum because there are already some fans who have printed the namesets of Haaland and Mbappe on the Madrid jersey and of course this is not very good for their image so Madrid has started to ban this.

Right now with FFP rule at the corner Madrid can’t not simply pull off this deal except if they get Mbappe for free but even at that the wage load will certainly lead to FFP. Halaand can potentially move to Madrid one day but right now even Manchester City are not going to go any deal negotiation and with Halaand not having a bad time at city after coming off from a treble wining season I doubt he is ready to take on another challenge just yet. So Halaand to Madrid are just rumors for now
419  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Drop to Zero? on: January 11, 2024, 09:51:21 PM

And what's the different between theoritical and practical drop to zero for BTC?

Can the price theoritically drop to zero but practically trade above $40k. Kinda confusing.

When someone says that something can theoretically happen then they are mostly placing it on numbers for example when a probability to do something is extremely high in numbers  but there is certainly a number to get it done although not realistic they simply place is as theoretical possible but can’t happen in sooner future or even reaching that numbers seems impossible.

I wouldn’t brag about bitcoin here but Jon Cunliffe doesn’t know what he is talking about seriously, the only time a thing gets to zero in price is when it is worthless and not in use again, if this was to be a case then bitcoin wouldn’t have persisted this years. Bitcoin can only get to zero when people abandon it and don’t use it Again, do you think people will throw away there bitcoin which they purchase currently with such a high fee? I strongly doubt not when people are already treating it as an investment, some even have retirement savings on it. I think bitcoin is just like the precious metals we have I don’t think will be worthless, even so not in a bear future now maybe years after mining has even ended
420  Other / Meta / Re: [SUGGESTION] Bitcointalk official acceleration thread. on: January 11, 2024, 07:26:17 PM
This is a nice idea OP but I think you’re actually missing some points here, the success of individual miners this days having to mine a block is limited because of the issue of hashrate or let me say computational power. So the most effective method this days is a pool of miners which we are currently experiencing. With it been a pool of miners then an individual can not make decision like this.

Secondly this is more like running it for free because most of this transaction have very low fees. With the way miners are currently feasting on transaction fees will someone dedicate their money and time to mine others transaction for some little penny, I think the incentives from the transaction fee that other miners will earn will be too tempting to leave, that’s why free accelerators like Viabtc actually have limited space. It is definitely not a viable idea seriously.
