401  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The leading cause of death in America today is PHARMACEUTICALS on: April 27, 2024, 10:04:20 AM
.
i remember how i had a sore throat and went to the doctor. the doctor prescribed quite a lot of medicine and after 2 weeks of consuming it there was no significant change in my throat. but when a friend recommended herbal treatment, it only took 3 days for my throat to improve. from this, now i trust herbal medicine more.
I've withnessed an event where a friend was receiving treatment for an ailment, he was in the hospital for about one week and wasn't feeling better, and the family decided that he receives alternative solution, he was discharged from hospital, took the alternative medication and become better. When I told a doctor friend about what happened to the friend, he said it could be that the drugs that had been given since one week was starting to cure the guy when he started taking the alternative medication. So let's not totally condemn pharmaceutical companies because they save lives, ofcourse there are bad eggs in the industry, but then ain't they in other industries too?
402  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Has Anyone Used This Crypto Recovery Service? on: April 27, 2024, 09:01:10 AM
...Do you believe what they have to say?

You have to accept the fact that your coins are irretrievably lost. If you continue to look for similar services that promise you to get your money back, then you should be prepared for the fact that your losses will only increase.
In order for the OP not to lose more money in the pursuit of his lost money, it's better that he should accept the fact that he's been scammed and move on, although it's painful especially if the stolen coins is of high value. The way that crypto is structured, I believe that the moment another person is in possession of your seed phrase and moved your coins, it'll be next to impossible to recover it, so I don't really believe in these so called crypto recovery services, because I've never heard about anybody that they've helped recover their stolen cryptos.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will MemeCoins Fuel the Next Crypto Craze? on: April 27, 2024, 07:55:27 AM
Truly memecoins provides the hype and speculations that attracts investors to the crypto market, as stated in the OP, many people don't have that patience to wait on long term projects like Bitcoin and Ethereum, so they're ready to gamble their funds to make profits on the short term. I believe that this is the major reason why memecoins are fueling the crypto craze, as the subject of this thread captions it, and thanks to the Solana, network that is energized and accepting them as many as they come. But investors should understand that all that glitters is not gold, therefore they should carry out research first and invest the amount that they can afford to loose
404  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Dangote: Forex shortage delays crude supplies on: April 26, 2024, 06:15:56 PM
Something is seriously wrong somewhere in this our beloved country wey be Nigeria, because somethings wey I de hear, my mind no de fit to comprehend am, how come Nigeria, de export crude oil, then an indigenous refinery go come de import di same crude oil. Nothing de make sense again for dis country, because na di more you look di less you see, I no just understand, everything just tire me.

As for di naira to dollar exchange rate matter, I no de surprised say naira don start to de devalue again, because if you no go to di root cause of a problem, den you come de tackle am from di surface, definitely you no go solve anything. I no go surprise if naira to dollar rate reach 2k for one dollar, because dis people never ready to rescue dis economy from impending doom.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to create a new coin. on: April 26, 2024, 05:13:04 PM

Therefore I will advise you not to develop a cryptocurrency project and scam people later because you can maintain it instead I advise you to use the money you have no to invest in Bitcoin and other altcoins for long term investor. That is my suggestion to you. I don't think Satoshi looked for developers online before he created Bitcoin.
You made a valid point here, someone without any technical knowledge about the creation of cryptocurrency should rather learn the skills first before starting the journey, so it'll be easy to fit into the dev. team, instead of being a figurehead, except he has some background experience and wants a team to complement his efforts. If he's up for the task, then all the best to him, atleast he's been given some directions about places to go and find developers for his project. There are countless projects out there and most of them are scams, I hope that he's planing on a legit project.
406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the Dubmest Thing Ever Invented on: April 26, 2024, 04:37:41 PM
Like the OP I was in denial about the value and use case of Bitcoin, in it's early days , but as time went by, me and probably millions of others have come to understand that it's an asset that is a store of value. Over the years Bitcoin has proven to be a reputable crypto coin, and it's adoption is increasing everyday, people are using it to make payments for goods and services, and most importantly individuals, groups, companies and countries are hodling it as investment asset. Something that is a scam can not gain so much ground in just over one decade, compered to gold that has been from the word's creation. I advice the OP to accumulate and hodle Bitcoin now because in the next decade, he'll say had I known I would've bought Bitcoin when it's price was still $63k.
407  Economy / Economics / Re: Not your keys not your funds Banks on: April 26, 2024, 02:24:02 PM
There's no where that you'll keep your money that it'll be 100% safe, whether it's physical cash, in investment, in the bank or through your wallet, there are robbers, scammers, natural or man-made disasters and bankruptcy can happen, so you'll have to take chances in choosing any option. But I think that one of the safest places to keep your money is in the bank, so far it's a trusted Bank that has built a solid reputation, they won't tell you stories anytime that you want to make withdrawals, the only disadvantage of leaving your money in the bank is if there's devaluation of your local currency.

What I'll advise anybody is not to put all their capital in one place, keep a few as cash at hand, save some in the bank and invest most of it in a reputable asset like Bitcoin.
408  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do we really note it for Bitcoin ATH on: April 26, 2024, 01:43:43 PM
My understanding of Bitcoin price ATH is anytime when price exceeds the highest price of Bitcoin, before it starts to dump, meaning that anytime price increases more than the previous ATH then we'll see a new ATH, the ATH will continue until price begins to dip. Ofcourse ATH normally happens during bull runs, that is when we see a price surge that can exceed the previous ATH, so I'm quite optimistic that we can see a price ATH of $100k in this year, then in the peak of the bull run next year, price can exceed $150k ATH, before dip will start to happen, this is my speculation.
409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Illusion of Trading Success on: April 26, 2024, 12:09:41 PM
This forum really opened my eyes to the naked truth that crypto trading is hard, because before then when I was hearing about trading from social media sites, it always gave me the impression that it's an easy way to earn money and become rich. In as much as there's an element of truth in this, the bigger truth is that crypto trading is risky and that's the fact, so no matter how it's sugarcoated like it's a short cut to riches, there's much loses in it and no matter how experienced and professional a trader is, they still experience loses. Trading should not be relyed on as an only source of income and traders, especially newbies should trade with the amount that they can afford to loose.
410  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Smoking addiction in the society on: April 26, 2024, 09:42:58 AM
First I want to emphasize that smoking is dangerous to health and smokers are liable to die young, this is what the ministry of health says in my country, and health organizations attests to this, and I agree with them. I think that cigarettes is one commodity that governments warns against that it's dangerous to health, yet they don't ban it, like they do other consumables that they say are harmful for human consumption, it makes me to feel like cigarettes are the untouchable ones. Despite everything that is being said about cigarettes, I've seen a few old men that still smokes, so I guess that some people are immune to the dangers of cigarettes, while it's very harmful to many.
411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You are responsible for your own safety. on: April 26, 2024, 09:05:04 AM
So far individuals that have been scammed through phishing sites on Google play store can not sue Google, for being scammed, then anybody that's downloading any apps on play store is at their own risks. I've heard a lot of complaints from people about these and I think that google should have strict regulations before accepting apps into their store, to protect their customers from these scammers, because them going to court over existing ones will not help those that have already been scammed. I think that to minimize downloading fake apps, people can download directly from sites, that is if they know the exact word for word of the site.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull rush Memories from the last pump on: April 26, 2024, 06:58:16 AM
Do you mean you achieved sufficient liquidity in the previous bull run and collected a large amount of USDT? If you and your friends have previously succeeded in choosing promising altcoins for investment and trading, you have undoubtedly gained good experience in growing again.

If the OP and his friends achieved sufficient liquidity in the last bull run and cashed in on usdt, that means that he has  a considerable amount of knowledge and experience, unlike some of us that are coming to withness our first bull run experience. I think that he can leverage on his previous bull run experience and apply some of it this time around to also make the most of this bull run and further maximize his earnings and profits. All the projects in this bull run will look good to go, so you'll have to do your research and invest the amount that you can afford to loose.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoin season on: April 25, 2024, 07:09:36 PM
This is only speculation and not real fact, because cryptocurrency is volatile in nature and no one can predict right the price movement of these altcoins that have no proper information on their price movement. There are new coins and might not survive the market.

NO need to invest your funds on them so that you don't get burned out, but bitcoin have the potential and what it takes to last longer, and your profit will also increase if you can be patient and hodli for long. Altcoins are there to gamble, but with very little amount of money, and if you make profit good, if you get scammed, you just overlook it. Don't put your hope on altcoins.
I like the OP high hopes about these projects that he listed, but like you said, he can only speculate their prices and that is not enough to make their price to be where he wants them to be, when it comes to altcoins, you'll just have to gamble your funds and hope that it's not a scam project.

You can't compare altcoins to Bitcoin, except for reputable top altcoins that have proven that they're not scams like Ethereum, BNB and Solana, most of these new projects are pump and dump scams. They get listed and wait for investors to dump their funds in them and they'll just vanish. Any investors that have the risk absorber can give any of the listed a shot at, but let them invest the amount that they can afford to loose.
414  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Local Board Moderator; Your honest feedback here. on: April 25, 2024, 05:04:13 PM

415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving Event [2024], Reality! on: April 25, 2024, 03:28:19 PM
Unfortunately, there's no solution at the moment, this is a sad reality and we just have to live with it. The reoccurring attack on the network should be a major concern by everyone who truly cares about Bitcoin. The spamming is not going to stop, even after ordinals and runes must have lost their hype, another non-fungible token will take their place, it'll keep happening over again and again. Sooner or later I'd expect Bitcoin core devs to do something about this.
It's true that there's no foreseeable solution to this congestion in the nearest future, and it's not a good development for the adoption of Bitcoin as a digital cash, because it doesn't make economic sense to pay so much transaction fees for a small amount of Bitcoin to be sent to another wallet. It's ordinals and runes now, who knows what might come next to disrupt the mempool and we'll start to experience another phase of congestions, the solution to this matter will be if Bitcoin developer team will dig dip and come up with a lasting solution to this recouring congestion problems.
416  Economy / Economics / Re: World price tag on every product. on: April 25, 2024, 01:44:23 PM
What a load of bullshit. The OP does not understand basic economic issues, such as that a product cannot cost the same in a country where the product is easily and abundantly produced as it does in a country that does not produce it and has to import it. Nor in a country where it is in high demand than in a country where it is not.
This will be possible if the whole countries merges as one nation where the central government will subsidize the prices of goods that'll travel from one region to another, but we all know that it's not possible to have one world united government. So far we still have commerce where costs of productions are different and it's governments and individuals that determines the prices of commodities, then a single price for commodities in the whole world is not possible. It sounds good in theory but impossible in practical.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there really a future for young individuals in web3 ? on: April 25, 2024, 01:08:33 PM
I think that web3 is the way forward for cryptocurrency, because they have so much in common, and if any individual especially the youths wants to learn more about it, then I think that it's a step in the right direction. I believe that the future will be all about technology and the internet, so time and resources that is put into understanding web3 will be worth it in the future.

Although I'm skeptical about free things and giveaways on the internet, and the OP talked about a free lecture and an all expense paid trip to Dubai, if it's for real then I think that he should perticipate and enjoy the experience.
418  Economy / Speculation / Re: High transaction fees affects those who DCA on: April 25, 2024, 11:35:46 AM
We're still facing the high transaction fees again, and it seems like it's something that we have to get used to that it must happen periodically when the mempool is congested, so every Bitcoin holder should have a plan b when it occurs. In your own case as you're doing DCA method, I think that it's best if you can be disciplined and hold your weekly earnings for a period of one month before sending it, to minimize the amount of the fees, since you'll pay about the same fees if you're sending it weekly. It's not advisable to leave your coins in the exchange and relax.
419  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AI Trading on: April 25, 2024, 09:04:39 AM
Possible scam. People should avoid this scammer.

Why dm you? Why can’t you just share it publicly? What’s the AI software that you use?
He wants to use the opportunity to look for vulnerable people that he can easily scam and scam them if possible. You can see that his account is new and this is his first post. He should be avoided. AI bots are not as profitable as he is saying. Scammers know how to sugarcoat their words in order to find it easy to scam people.
Asking forum members to DM him before he'll share his experience with them is where he shot himself in the leg, to show that he has something to hide, when he gets his victims that's where his real intentions will unfold. He should understand that this is an anonymous discussion forum where members shares information and ideas about the crypto space for free, also where newbies without any crypto knowledge comes to learn and gain knowledge from experienced members for free, I'm a beneficiary of this system. Experienced forum members can detect a scam from it's introduction in the forum, so let the OP be aware.
420  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Electricity as a tool for development on: April 25, 2024, 07:50:59 AM
As far as I can remember, epileptic electric power supply has been the order of the day in my country, 24 hours constant power supply is a privilege that happens sometimes. Power outage can last for days and when light comes, it won't last for 24 hours before it's taken again, so almost every household has an electric generator that uses fuel. Different governments will come and give fake promises that there'll be constant power supply, but it's all a lie, as I'm typing now, there's no light in my neighborhood since yesterday evening, when my batteries and power banks are running low, I'll have to switch on my electric power generator that uses fuel. This has been affecting the cost of doing business for many years because you must plan on how you'll need to generate power, which is expensive, buying and servicing your generator and constantly buying fuel or diesel, plus noise pollution everywhere, it's really crazy.
