401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need your help guys! on: May 18, 2020, 05:58:44 PM
My sister wants to invest into this project: https://www.dxrcointrade.com/ but for me it looks like a scam... can you guys help me get redflags? what you guys think?
I will advise you to tell your sister to stay clear from that website. There is really nothing that shows that they are legit. If she's not sure about it being legit, then it would be better to stay clear from it than play around with her money and end up losing it. That's still her choice to make. When you stay without investing but continue watching then you can surely see how many such websites are popping and hitting our inbox.

If she was referred to it by someone she knows, then it's best to confront the person face-to-face and ask them for proof, but if it was recommended by a stranger, then it's better to forget about it. My own advice would be to forget about this. There are other things she can do than taking some dumb risks.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest trading strategy on: May 18, 2020, 03:35:04 PM
AFAIK when a strong traders started a trade in the market and he must have a very strong mentality and this will be affecting the result of your trade caused by your emotion will be totally affected by your mentality.
Emotion usually plays the negative role because it will be making you unable to follow your predetermined plans. For example, if you have a stoploss level in your mind and when you are not following the predetermined plans of exiting at stoploss due to greedy of market to bounce back then you will need to more losses later on. Always trading without emotions will be good but it will not be possible for anyone to trade emotion-less but along with experience it will be possible.

how much do you trust these tokens such as USDT, USDC and DAI? They are not real cryptocurrencies, as the value is supposed to be held by someone other than the person who holds these tokens.
You are right. Instead of making use of those stablecoins, it would be much better to trade along with our fiats. Because, nowadays most exchanges are supporting easy deposit/ withdraw functionalities for all currencies. Until we will be having any decentralized stablecoins, I believe it would be much better to trade with our traditional fiats.
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wright's Ph.D. flying the coop? Shouldn't have put his eggs in one basket! on: May 18, 2020, 01:49:10 PM
This is very funny. So he copied every of these and reworded them thinking that he wouldn't be caught, and finally, here we are. This dude is really jerk, seriously, I'm really pissed with him. People like him are very wicked. He's a thief and a scammer who is trying to steal from people by pretending to be who and what he's not. The main Satoshi Nakamoto kept silent and didn't bother about showing himself, then these thieves are thinking that they can do whatever they please to do without being caught. That's not going to work out for them, they will all keep on failing with their plans.
404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Investors are losing Bitcoin by Investing in Altcoins? on: May 17, 2020, 08:31:16 PM
It is not every altcoin that has a price that correlates with Bitcoin, a lot of them are usually moving a different direction from Bitcoin. It is just a few of them that correlates and the few that correlates don't do that 100%, highest might be 90% or so I guess.

Another thing is that when the price of Bitcoin is going up investors are fond of selling their altcoins to jump on the Bitcoin trade and make profit and that leads to a crash in most of the altcoins when Bitcoin is going up. And even when Bitcoin falls, there are still a lot of people that are selling their altcoins just so they can buy Bitcoin when it's falling at a cheaper rate.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 17, 2020, 07:53:51 PM
I don't get the rules all that well but could we say, even though Bayern is a much much better team here, they got lucky with the break because they got Lew back? I mean dude was injured, we gave a big break, he played and he scored. Not saying that helped Bayern so much that it is the reason why they played well, after all Bayern was better than Union probably without at least 3-4 stars on the team, there is a huge gap, but this is just an example for Bayern.

There must have been other teams as well who had injured players who got better and recovered after they gave this big break and now they are going to play with them. The biggest example I can think of will be Spurs with Kane back possibly if premier league continues for example, dude is much better than his replacement (I know it is not bundesliga but couldn't think of a bundesliga player that was injured and now not injured thanks to break that changes the whole team).
406  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 INVESTING BTC, LTC and DOGE is OPEN NOW on: May 17, 2020, 05:27:09 PM

few hours back someone invested like 4000 LTC in the YOLOdice bankroll  Cool it almost halved the rest of the investor's percentage share in the bankroll.

Holy cow, that's really huge percentage of the bankroll! I can't even see my little section in that graph any more. Grin
Just imagine how much passive income that investment will generate per month. A handsome salary in most countries of the world...
Well, he will be making a decent salary worth of profit from just that investment but do not forget that in order to make that much money he also put in over 170 thousand dollars as well. When you put in over 170 thousand dollars into something that is not stable like let's say savings account in a bank that gives you a set amount of rate for savings, you will be getting a decent amount anyway.

There is a chance dude could even lose money, I know we are in a casino and losing money is unlikely possibility since the house edge is on his side so in the long run he will make money, but it doesn't mean that there is no risk for some whale coming up and making him lose some of his money neither. So, that dude put in money that we wouldn't be brave enough to put into something that is slightly risky, he deserves all the money he makes.
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Does Bitcoin Have Value? on: May 17, 2020, 03:39:27 PM
I am fed up with people always reposting this topic and trying to twist it in their own ways. Like who doesn't know that bitcoin's value comes from the trust we have in it? The community are the ones that keeps it running. We create the value for bitcoin like how we create value for gold. No big differences. I buy bitcoins with the intention of finding another buyer who will be ready to pay the price higher than I paid. Exactly the same way, this world is working.

Well, just imagine that Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin and no one asked about it not to talk of investing their money in it, then do you think that it would grow to this extent? No it wouldn't man. So, this is topic is really simple and let's stop twisting and prolonging everything, please.
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN HALVING now a reality !!! How is that working out for everyone ??? on: May 17, 2020, 04:40:39 AM
I guess people are selling their coins because they believe that the price of Bitcoin is going to fall. Some believe the price will decline because it's being said that miners might drop out due to rewards being less than they expect.

I am not sure that what might happen next after now, investors are now selling their coins and the market is dropping and such a thing might even lead to the miners dropping out. And like you have said, this is the perfect time for Bitcoin to increase, but it's not everyone that sees it that way, some are thinking that now is not the right time to start investing in anything because they need more fiat to take care of themselves and their family.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lockdown and eCommerce and increase in online payments = Bitcoin addoption on: May 16, 2020, 08:32:33 PM
The question is, what payment methods are being accepted by the e-commerce sites? I don't see much of these sites accepting cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin) as a payment method, they are usually demanding that buyers make payments with their debit cards and payment methods like PayPal. PayPal and MasterCard/Visa even seems to be more recognized and used by these sites more than any other type of payment method.

The only big site that is accepting Bitcoin as payment is Overstock, but their site is not as big as Amazon or eBay, these two are the ones I'm expecting to be accepting cryptocurrency as their payment method and not even all these smaller sites.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Electroneum TOPS +450% ROI in last 30 DAYS! on: May 16, 2020, 05:51:03 PM
You cannot ask reasons for a crypto's bump (nor for dump as well) but you need to get practiced to it as this is time for most cryptos to test new ATHes including bitcoins. Electroneum could be another crypto with real world application hence it might have got attention from a crypto whale. People (whales) may start focusing on altcoins besides bitcoins for diversification reasons. So, along with bitcoins we can expect such pumps of altcoins to happen in more number in coming days.

Thanks to recent bitcoin halving, we are going to experience such bumps in altcoin markets which must be the usual signal for crypto adopters to assume about the end of bear markets. Yes, along with bitcoin halving, altcoin markets might have bottomed out.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoronaCoin More drama, third exit scam and discord deleted on: May 15, 2020, 06:35:30 PM
What were the "investors" really expecting for real? Like someone who would really start a project about one of the biggest human miseries in the recent memory that killed more people globally and equally than anything else (there could have been worse stuff nation-wide but never globally in probably 80 years). And you are investing into it?

Obviously you would lose money to them and they will do exit scam, these people showed that they are horrible people by even starting the project with such a horrible idea, you should have understood what type of people they were. I am not even sad for the people who lost money to these people in general. At the end of the day there will always be people who will lose money to some shady people and sometimes they actually deserve it.
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network, is it a good solution? on: May 15, 2020, 05:41:56 PM
Many people seem to be fan of LN while any others are directly opposing this. I'm not an old guy here nor I'm a techy guy in bitcoin. I only know the basic which I need. However, so far, LN seems to be a good addition. But why some people say it's not good?
What are the advantage vs disadvantage of LN? Can you please put your opinion? I would love to see the both side.
I have not used the Lightening Network before, although I have used a wallet that has Lightening Network, but you have to activate the Lightening Network feature before it works. It doesn't work in every wallet, only a few of them are carrying that feature.

I have not seen the need for it and I guess I'm okay with the normal Bitcoin transaction speed rate and that's why I don't bother myself about using it. And the way I see it, Lightening Network is not meant for everyone, unless you're a tech geek and you want to go beyond what's already created. I have not seen anyone that is against the lightening network, so I guess it's good, and I don't see anything wrong with it since the main purpose is to make things quick.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Croatian post office now offer crypto exchange on: May 15, 2020, 12:22:58 PM
That's good, and just as they have done this, a lot of people who are coming to the post office and seeing the flyers about Bitcoin will be curious to know what it's all about. That's how promotion works. Once they get home they will like to do research and learn about and also ask questions to understand what it's all about.

This is what the cryptocurrency community really needs, but unfortunately it's not like that in every country and there are even countries where the government is even fighting against cryptocurrency and trying to stop people from making use of it. I really hope other countries do what Croatia has done.
414  Economy / Economics / Re: Anybody here trying to live bankless (using Bitcoin / cryptocurrencies)? on: May 15, 2020, 07:28:17 AM
That's really interesting and I have tried to do it a few times but it is not possible. It doesn't really work in my country. The only places I can make use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, spend them, send and receive is only online. But when it comes to making use of it locally, nah you wouldn't be able to do that.

Although from what I have seen online, there are countries where you are more likely to find a lot of means for you to make use of your Bitcoin locally. But for where I live, I have never seen a single person or shop that is accepting cryptocurrencies as payment, they always need their cash or you make a transfer with your card or bank app.
415  Economy / Economics / Re: Rebooting the World after the COVID-19 Shutdown on: May 14, 2020, 08:07:28 PM
The ones that will not comeback will be seen a lot more clearer in few months because right now there are many things people are focusing on and which companies are bankrupted is not something they really focus on right now. However, when everything comes back you will realize that which companies you were using before this is closed or not because everything will be normal and you will want to live like nothing happened and you will not be capable of doing it at all.

At the end of the day we are living in a world where the world is actually in a big trouble and even if you want to reboot you will probably going to not reboot everything, somethings will be missing and that will cause the economy to fall even worse than right now. People are saying "I can understand why economy is bad because there is pandemic right now" and accept the situation but when the pandemic is over there won't be any excuse.
416  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic outcome on: May 14, 2020, 01:26:31 PM
anyone that is smart would have started an online business. e.g fiverr or even crypto. I aspect everyone should be expecting the worse especially if you are not a high rank in a solid organization.
It's already starting to happen and I don't know what's going to happen. A lot of people are losing their jobs and I'm starting to wonder how it's going to be before the end of this year, things are really going crazy. In some developing countries the price for essentials like foodstuffs are getting really high and people can't afford it, the governments are not doing much to support their citizens, and people are still losing their jobs on top lol.

It is really going to be a crazy year to be sincere. I hope that the world is going to figure out a way to solve this problem before it gets out of hand and people start to do what they are not meant to do in order to survive.
417  Economy / Economics / Re: Just a remark about Bitcoin, Gold and Water... on: May 14, 2020, 12:39:16 PM
I think, Bitcoin is similar to WATER. In the Nature, there is water in the clouds, not gold Cheesy
Any opinions? Wink
There is water in the clouds but it still falls as rain and water is not only in the clouds, it's also in the seas, oceans, rivers and can easily be seen and felt almost everywhere. You can switch the tap on your sink and water will start running immediately.

So, there is no way that Bitcoin matches with the explanation you have made here. Gold is different from Bitcoin and they are not meant to be the same. In the case of Bitcoin and some cryptocurrencies, it's just mathematics and is up to the community to believe in it. When we believe in it, then it has value.
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 12, 2020, 07:44:35 PM
You may consider that these people are professional players and they will take care of their body, but you are forgetting that many of them are young as well. All those cool cats back in the day like George Best or Eric Cantona was a football player as well. I know they are back in the day but all of those "cool cats" that used to look like someone who is wise and knew what they were doing, was just people on their 20's making stupid decisions.

Hence I think many players could comeback fat and out of shape and just even if they look proper, they will definitely be under conditioned and they are going to just play bad for a long time before they can get back in shape. Hence I think early games would be disappointing obviously but it is better than no games.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CS:GO and Betting on: May 12, 2020, 06:48:35 PM
I have read a lot of comments and match-fixing seems to be a common concern for everyone and it might be something that is worth noticing that these players are not lifetime players and they hardly play for 4-5 or max 10 years and if they are getting good money from a bookie just to play bad on a few matches and it is literally impossible to spot those matches because CS:GO being a FPS game it is easy to understand if your crosshair is sometimes misplaced and you miss a few shots.

Although, these players are under regular scrutiny and I am pretty sure their mobiles and all conversations are checked and tracked at least for the top tier teams. Now a days everything being online, it is very easy to approach these players and fix some matches, I mean you see Navi loosing to Syman gaming and I do not blame anyone but these things don't happen when you play at LAN events.
420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 65% of Global Bitcoin Hashrate Concentrated in China on: May 12, 2020, 06:11:07 PM
If the miners in China should be stopped, it's going to have an effect on Bitcoin and yes the price will likely drop when such a number of miners stop mining (65%). But that doesn't mean that the cryptocurrency is going to stop, nope, it will continue working because there will still be the remaining 35% from other countries that are still moving the cryptocurrency. And I believe that if such a thing should happen, other mining farms will try to get more equipment and be able to increase their power, that way it will boost things up again and it will go back to normal. But I am not expecting that to happen.
