402  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Blockchain Wallet cant send BTC past few days on: January 27, 2013, 06:12:53 PM
Thanks for all the replies. They were very helpful.

While I understand that most of my transactions consist of micropayments I fully understand the reasoning behind verification and the fees. However, this was not always the case. I have had this wallet for quite a while. Small bets to Satoshi dice were sometimes over 100 per day. Never have I had to wait days for confirmation, nor incurred any percentage fee this high. I am looking back to bets made just 5 months ago; most were as low as .01 and some were as high as 1.5 btc. They would confirm fast and I would get  a return payment (either winning or losing) nearly instantly.

I just want to know what changed and who changed it. Right now, any transaction leaving that wallet is having trouble as well. What I want to know is what changed from a few months ago and what the best way for me to get my coins out of the blockchain wallet. While that wallet has a balance of just over 2 btc I have another wallet that has accumulated 84 btc (on block chain wallet too) and I just want the coins out of there. Suggestions?

-Thanks

Douglas

Never mind. It finally just worked after 3 days. Not only that it charged my .02 to send .06 btc to Satoshi Dice. WTF is that about? That is an awfully large fee!

It used to be much lower. Im taking my coins out of blockchain wallet. Since I have complained a few times the vindictive creeps that run the site prob charged me extra.

Basically charged a 40% fee

405  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info site switched to Spanish last night! Anyone else have this prob? on: January 20, 2013, 09:38:18 PM
Never clicked a spanish link

First thing I did was click the US flag and it still stayed spanish. Then tried clicking UK flag and back to US and nothing.
406  Economy / Service Discussion / Blockchain.info site switched to Spanish last night! Anyone else have this prob? on: January 20, 2013, 08:24:47 PM
So last night when i went to log back into my blockchain.info wallet the whole site changed to spanish. I dont connect by using any type of proxy. Did this happen to anyone else? I want to change it back but cant figure out how to do it. I really hope I havent been (or am being) hacked and there is some type of live packet interception going on here. After all there is no reason for it to all the sudden switch to spanish

--Suggestions?

Update. I can get to the English version of the site by adding /en/ after blockchain.info but it shouldnt default to the Spanish or Portuguese site for me
407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinurl voucher on: December 16, 2012, 09:40:14 PM
I won a few Coinurl vouchers from Dailybitcoins as well. I would be interested in selling at least two of them but want to keep the rest. If anyone is interested in them hit me up. I will sell them for half of their value!

Best way is to email me

I dont quite understand either. So just by posting and asking for some start up Bitcoin we have a chance at earning some from the generous OP? If so, I am eternally grateful

409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: pay pal bitcoin on: December 16, 2012, 09:34:19 PM
There is actually someone that I met on the forum here that I purchase small amounts of bitcoin from using paypal a few times. It is not something that I would normally encourage but this was different. It was only for .5 btc or less, which isnt a lot of money.

But after I made the first purchase and he delivered I did it a few more times. So, if you have friends that use Bitcoin you can buy with them from Paypal. Or, if you find someone on the forums that is a trusted member doing other transactions you can try it that way.

TIP: Make sure to send the money as a "gift" so no fees are deducted.
410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Building a Bitcoin ATM. Should I bother? Demo Video! on: November 30, 2012, 04:00:13 AM
I would love to see one set up somewhere. I would be buying bitcoins like crazy. Right now I have to use BitInstant and drag my butt down to walmart and pay the stupid fees in that process. I bet a finished machine could be competitive against the fees associated with the cash transactions done through bitinstant

412  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 07, 2012, 08:43:06 PM
but I had just gotten a $1000 deposit confirmed by CAVIRTEX that same morning, in fact I heard about my deposit clearing before learning GLBSE was done, my instinct was to deposit the $1000 in GLBSE to get more shares, I'm lucky he shut it down before I could.

Fixing that last link in your post; as it wouldnt open for me. So here is what I believe the intended URL for imgur was supposed to point to:

413  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 07, 2012, 08:12:02 PM
Ouch, so it looks like Nefario will be getting that scammer tag after all? Or just an unethical bastard tag? On a semi related note, I think those should be made

Second on the "Unethical Bastard Tag" Im sure we can find a relatively famous face to use as the mascot that could universally represent a lack of ethics. Any suggestions?

The quote "Youre [edited] unethical bastard" comes from Hollow Man.

I shortened the URL because the curse was in the url as well. It appears at the 18:25 mark btw

416  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Paypal Purchase-Small amount of BTC on: September 15, 2012, 07:10:02 AM
Also I just made another two bets on satoshi one for .08 and another for .30. And it looks like satoshi dice stole the coins. I truly hate that site now
417  Economy / Marketplace / Paypal Purchase-Small amount of BTC on: September 15, 2012, 07:07:54 AM
Alright, I just lost 5 bitcoins playing Satoshi Dice. I was only betting the plays with the 79% chance of winning and the 85% chance of winning. I was betting .10-.50 btc at a time and just kept losing. Im pissed.

So I have $16 in my paypal and want to buy a bitcoin and some change. However, I am not going through all the hoopla it requires to use Paypal. Is anyone willing to sell me 1.15 btc for $16 USD through paypal?

If so hit me up douglasmatthewstewart@gmail.com or back on this post.

Thanks

419  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC For Your Opinion Round 2! on: June 03, 2012, 04:01:39 AM
1)Right now it says "The system is manual, please wait at least 24 hours to receive your BTC."

While that reads ok let me offer a suggestion

"All transactions are manually processed. Please allow up to 24 hours to receive your order before contacting us [insert link]"

2) Move the BitcoinAdvertisers banner directly below the "Buy" and "Sell" areas or, use a vertical one like the one you have now for Satoshi Dice. If you make it vertical place it to the left just like the Satoshi Dice one. It will be balanced and uniform. Also this will put the visual focus on the "MiniBits" banner and the "Buy" and "Sell" areas. You want your users to burn the banner image into their memory and you want the business interface to remain visually unobstructed. Right now I keep looking at the Bitcoin advertisers box right above the "Buy" and "Sell" areas and not the actual business area. Dont worry, people will still click the banner ads if they are moved just slightly.

I imagine that you want the type of rapid transactions like BitInstant offers. You have an almost perfect layout for that already

3) Live Bitcoin price ticker (small) at the top and the bottom.

4) The option to buy 1 Bitcoin. (market price plus one dollar USD-you may find that you will get a lot of people buying one BTC at a time. The one dollar flat fee over market price will allow you to sell without having to worry about checking market price every hour or so and adjusting the site. That fee should cover you for the entire day)

By the way I love the idea for the site and sometimes I am short a few bit cents, or I just want a half of a bitcoin to play a game, so I will be making a purchase soon. We need more places where people can purchase bitcoins with paypal.

All the best!

and if you use any of my ideas you can send the bitcents to

SIDE NOTE: After making this post I have slowly but surely have been receiving my balance back in multiple transactions. Interesting. Not complaining. And I am getting more grateful with each transaction. I am only 1 BTC away from the correct balance  Grin
