401  Economy / Economics / Re: What local services should accept bitcoin? on: May 18, 2013, 08:02:03 PM
Agreed. Bitcoin cards with automatic conversion (which is available for other coins) would be one of the greatest BANGs  Roll Eyes Ofc, if BTC would be somehow stable.

Is there anything like this currently available?

Whens the new infrastructure going to be installed bringing the total to 50.25 MH/BTC.

That's means 50.25 MH/s new infrastructure are added to the total for every new BTC invested, not that the total infrastructure will increase to that level.

Does it mean increased rewards for current bitcoin investments?

407  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will reach $130 and it will stabilize. on: May 17, 2013, 10:40:27 PM
The only think we need to see how the btc price skyrocket, is another country in bankrupt.

And i think that will bring the BTC to + $300 USD

Yes or there was a repeat of what happened in cypress. If it stabilizes at a specific amount it will be an event like one of these that will let it rise way above. Of course with more services accepting on and offline, who knows what coul happen.

411  Economy / Economics / Re: where is the BTC. on: May 17, 2013, 09:02:07 PM
It shouldn't matter too much if the price per bitcoin signifigent increases. I know this means the rich get richer but so does the person who has a few 100 invested.

Is it not better to try and  get bitcoin accepted in our own local areas instead of going off and finding landing and starting from scratch?

Do you not understand it will take 80 months to get JUST your capital back?

Why would you give someone $100 and have them pay you $1 a month for 80 months. THERE'S NO PROFIT.

I'm having a hard time understanding what everyones gripe is, about how long your investment is paid out in full... I've invested only a small amount of btc...a little over 5 now over roughly the last year. The btc that I had invested here was basically 'extra'. I'd buy something with btc and then deposit the 'change' in one of my several Pyramining accounts. Over the last year this 'change' is what has added up to the 5+ btc worth of deposits. And now, especially since the payout threshold was lowered to 0.10 btc, I occasionally get an extra little 'bonus' in my wallet on top of the mining that I do myself. So, this 'change' I have tossed into a jar over time has begun to spill over and I can put an extra few gallons in my gas tank from time to time. So Pyramining is working out GREAT for me...really not sure what the big deal is. I've actually even been just depositing the reward I have gotten from Pyra BACK into my Pyra accounts thus raising my 'equivalent hashing speed' even more. Its all a bunch of win win from my spare change over time...what's the harm in that? I mean, unless you're trying to use Pyramining as your sole source of mining 'income' then I guess some frustrations might be had...

About 50 months or less in my case. Thanks Bitpop

What sites get get the most free bitcoins from?
418  Economy / Economics / Re: Google Wallet and Bitcoin on: May 16, 2013, 07:44:52 PM
I think its all down to trading value with value (eg: USD/BTC for food) and the more services that allow this to happen and that make it easier for it to happen the better. I know that it will effect the price of the bitcoins in some ways (more than likely negatively unless bitcoin is one of the currencies accepted) but looking at the bigger picture, this is a good thing.
419  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Winklevoss Index = $12,770,919 on: May 16, 2013, 07:40:29 PM
Why would anyone care, and who are they? Looks like junk on your site, and the satoshidice and rss feed cubes look terrible too.

don't visit it then...  70,000 visitors a day go there... so making it 69,999 a day won't bug me too much.

I fixed order of Gold / Silver and Gold:BTC and Silver:BTC

Feedback other than from farlack ...  we already know his opinion ..

You know, for some reason I really doubt you're getting 70,000 visitors a day. You don't even have any seo, you don't even have any real tracking software. You're using a hit counter that probably adds +1 every time it refreshes.

Google analytics is free.

I was just trying to help, though I guess I was wasting my time, seeing as I'm trying to help convince the same person you don't need a $500 a month server for 50mb a month in bandwidth, that out of your supposed 70,000 visitors I'm sure 69,995 don't know who that person is. And the two blocks look tacky as hell covering your charts.

Even if its 70,000 visits, its still not bad. Great website but not greatest design an layout.
420  Economy / Speculation / Re: Three Paypal founders invest in BitPay on: May 16, 2013, 07:27:40 PM
I was looking up Bitpay the past few days. Great service with the potential to accelerate the adoption of bitcoin on and offline. I not the biggest fan of paypal either but this service seems brilliant.
