Something is wrong with PoW
hahah u see now private wolf0 abusers huge > 51% enjoy No sir :-) There is a problem in the wallet. On which the wallet you think? Wallet looks work good: Image omitted to make post shorter There is a problem with the new patch. Since the wallet hit the new fork block, 615000, only PoS blocks have been found. It has something to do with the change in the difficulty retargeting code in patch 6. We will have to wait for CryptoCoderz to fix the code and upload new wallets before PoW is fixed and working again. @EveryoneEspers v0.8.5.1 has been releasedThe chain will continue to move the way it currently does on PoS until bock 625,000 (sometime tomorrow) After this however PoW and PoS will equally once again find blocks and the DarkGravityWave will run as it should. Excuse the inconvenience of this! Please NOTE: You do NOT have to re-sync or do anything special. Just run the new client (windows clients will prompt users to upgrade)Alternatively you can download the standalone Windows client here. After this we can focus on the more exciting stuff than repairs... When he includes a standalone executable in each post: Getting sick of that too eh LOL

Soooooooo after doing the calculations Requesting a listing @ Cryptopia would be ~ .4 BTC (at least) worth of DOT You guys think that sort of price is even worth it right now? I barely even HAVE .4 BTC - and who knows how the Doubloons market would react to a listing at any particular exchange. Good thing about Cryptopia is their multiple base-markets, though... Or risk .1BTC @ YoBit for a premium listing, which could take up to a week. Only other downside is, well, it's Yobit...lots of shady stuff there. But we ARRRR pirates.... Anyone knowledgeable about the subject mind sharing some thoughts/experiences/advice?

Well your screenshot shows that it is running - can you post your .bat file config?
Now that difficulty has risen, most people find that it is better to mine using a pool, like boat.suprnova.cc
Although some do stick with solo mining in order to get larger block rewards, rather than smaller split up rewards from pools.
What is your video card?
And what sort of CPU do you have, if you don't mind me asking? Maybe running a CPU miner would work best, depending on your GPU I know about the pool boat.suprnova.cc, but like in the solo mode, because at the moment the power pool of 85-90 MH / s, I can 40-50 MH / s devices for this mining what I sense in the pool? I want to understand if I set up the solo mode correctly. It looks set up fine to me, but can you post the details of your .bat config? That's the only way to know for sure Are you running it in the background? I would keep it running as long as possible, for best chances to find a block

Solo mining instructions are all listed in the first post - what's the problem? CPU or GPU? I did everything in the instructions, but how do you know whether the works? I left screenshot above. v1.0.0.1 Released - not mandatory, but recommended. Fixes bug where wallet re-synchronizes entire blockchain upon each start, and adds checkpoints & minor UI tweaks. Back up your stuff if migrating - preferably, try this on another 'dummy' wallet (on another PC) before risking the loss of ANY of your BOAT. Again - not required, as the blockchain is unaffected - but eventually it'll grow larger and larger, taking longer to load each time
If you aren't sure how - or don't understand how to do any of these steps, ask in this thread before migration.
Before downloading:Unlock wallet, uncheck 'for staking only' Go to your Addresses tab Copy addresses holding BOAT Help -> Debug Console type: dumpprivkey yourboataddress (repeat dumpprivkey command for each address) Close wallet copy contents of %AppData%\Roaming\Doubloon to new folder (backup) After downloading:
Delete contents of %AppData%\Roaming\Doubloon Run new wallet Help -> Debug Console type: importprivkey yourboataddress (repeat importprivkey for each address) You should then see your coins incoming! Download link here

Fixed windows wallet coming out soon - just finishing a write-up for those wanting to migrate (won't really effect users who NEVER shut down their machines/wallets) As easy as dumping & importing your private key(s), but I just want to be sure as close to 100% of the users know it is necessary before downloading the new version.
Same chain and everything else, not forkin' the blasted thing. Just warning ye t'll read yer old wallet as corrupted - hence the necessity of grabbing yer private keys.

UPDATEJust because I'm feeling hopeful: https://blockchain.info/tx/f721b708543f969801644054156e155db395f40d746f4b2fa9171a3aa300a0abHere's the first half of the bug bounty, sent to bumbacoin. I just finished successfully compiling this on my own machine - and for the community's sake, here is the code for everyone to look over: https://github.com/bumbacoin/boatcoinfinalIf anyone finds bumba's 'secret 3 million blocks' exploits hidden inside - well, I guess I'll give the rest of the bounty to you Will update the OP with fresh links & executables in the morning, rough seas have been sailed, many barrels been broken.....*hic* If we're all in agreement with the source, we can all hop aboard and continue on our voyage - that treasure map can finally be posted as well Yarrr!!!

I love history.I dont know if you all realize this but you all are making history here. There should be a book written about this coin and espers as they are the first to (create) and adopt this algo. Its being fine tuned miners are being made cards are being tested bug tracking etc etc. Hence the utmost importance of you alls work.Congratulations to everyone involved with this algo. I forget exactly who but there is a person on here that makes history books for the coins, which is a awesome thing indeed.I have it bookmarked somewhere as it was announced on here about 4 or 5 months ago. Both of these coins are very important to the history of crypto.I forget his name but you can bet hes probably following this thread.I sorta consider myself somewhat of a historian of these coins going back to around early 2014 but there are so many of them.Im proud to be a part of this. Both of these coins and the algo are going to go down in history.I envy you youngsters your going to remember this thread. Edited:Because 'im a lazy bastard and forgot to add punctuation What are you referring to? Can you elaborate more, or explain what you do remember, the best you can? Stop flattering here - the real praise should go to CryptoCoderz for developing the algorithm. I look up to him as daddya mentor, a god, and an invaluable figure in the crypto-seas. If anyone here can wrestle a fine wench from a mean kraken, it'd be him While I do take pride in being the first to use the HMQ1725 algorithm - after Espers, where it originated - I mainly chose the algo out of respect!

Did you fork esperscoin ? Your coin uses the same mining algorithm I see, what will make this much different ? I see they have heaps of bugs with their patches too.
Not a fork - only using their HMQ algo. The source code is a modified Novacoin base This isn't really a patch bug - but rather a bug that needs patching! Nothing related to any Espers bugs, either....hell I'd pay just to know where the issue lies. Prayers for bumba on this one guys...he's burning the midnight oil away on this one ha i'ts lunchtime here BUMBACOIN IS A SCAMMER (Proof above)
Well, I don't see what I did to 'share the proof' of anything. He offered to help fix an issue, when nobody else would. Did he 'inject a secret block' into the Doubloons chain? Maybe - but can he disable our blockchain? Maybe, maybe not. And he DID fix the issue, by the way. I requested his source code. If that checks out, he gets a bounty, as promised - and all ye aboard th' BOAT can sail smoother seas. We'll see if you're right - willing to put money on whether he injected malicious code into a windows client?
