401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 08, 2024, 10:57:07 AM
No one is talking about how well the Pistons played against the Sacramento Kings tonight. Detroit Pistons better when Cade Cunningham isn't playing. Check how many times Cade Cunningham has not played this season and how many times the Pistons have won without him playing.
Also Jaden Ivey had an amazing game scoring a career high of 37 points with 19 of those in the fourth quarter. The Kings didn't play good defense and missed many chances.
Yeah, but it was a big upset by the Pistons, I guess another game that is very unpredictable and I do hope that you didn't include it in your parlay bet? As lately I have been seen you betting on multi-leg and sometimes as single game could have destroyed it for you. Anyhow, just bad night for the Kings, just like Curry just scoring 9 points against the Sixers, but they still win. Kings though is not known for their defense, they are more of a run and gun team and very quick on transition because of Fox and Sabonis can also run for a big guy. Ivey lead the Pistons with a huge 3 point performance, and there are other players too, who help the Pistons get this huge win in their own homecourt. And for sure fans are frustrated seeing your team losing to Pistons.
This would easily call betting on the Sacramento Kings on their next game. I like this team actually but there's no guarantee that they'll win in every game, what I like them is that they would bounce back after every loss. Maybe they are a little tired as well because that was their first game after a long 7 games road games.

Next game, they'll be hosting the defending champion, this will be interesting on how they'll bounce back after losing from a team that is already at the bottom of standing. They loss to the worst team, now they are up against the best team.

There is no other crypto investment that has succeeded more than a decade, it’s always been bitcoin so never hesitate but take the risk. But always do your own diligence to study and learn the process first because that will be your edge in winning your investment. Although bitcoin is not a perfect investment as it does not guarantee all time profits and rewards, but believe me it’s always better than any other crypto or physical investments around.
403  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you have a hard time bringing new people to the forum? on: February 07, 2024, 10:49:39 PM
Well, you can’t expect that people will always agree on what you think is right. We have different opinions and ideas, and what suits and best for us may not what it seems right for them. That’s the reason why I don’t have plans to bring the people I’ve known to learn about the forum. Although I can always help them with that if they ask me to help them, but taking so much of my time to invest for their knowledge, probably that’s not me anymore.
404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent have you hated yourself due to your gambling losses? on: February 07, 2024, 03:07:17 PM
Hating myself? Never done that when I lose, maybe I regretted my decision but it was never a hate. However, I would just be able to accept it within 24 hours as I don't want it to bother me on my upcoming session in gambling. I made a mistake, I learn from it, that's the only process but sometimes when I go overboard, I need to stop for awhile to evaluate my mistakes and reflect on it.

We are human so we are prone to make mistakes, and since gambling does involve our emotion, it's important that we are not weak, otherwise, we will easily get addicted and it could possibly ruin our life. But let us not allow it will happen to our lives, best thing to do all the time is, learn how to forgive ourselves.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 07, 2024, 02:23:07 PM

Seems that magnolia will take this game as the lead still in double digit with only 1 min left, a good game and adjustments as they manage to limit the productions of all the starters of SMB including the 2 imports hahaha JMF and BB what a nice take out for those who support the ML and handicap for Magnolia.

Let see if they will continue to take this good adjustment and will try to tie the series to bring it back to a best of 3 games.

Congrats to whoever place their picks to Magnolia, while for SMB supporters there's another game to assess.

SMB does not have Jericho Cruz on the game, probably due to injury, but they have a lot of players to replace him. This could be the lowest output of SMB so far, they are limited with 80 points and their 3 point shots aren't clicking.

I can't believe the kind of struggle SMB had tonight, their total FG $ is only 34% while their 3 point shooting dropped to 19%.

Also, Boatwright performance is very bad, he was struggling and yet SMB aren't moving the ball well. Their import made only 10 of 28 attempts and he was only 4-13 beyond the arch. I'm expecting a huge adjustment in game 4 which will happen in Friday, and I'm going to take SMB early.
406  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Traders are Not Profitable on: February 06, 2024, 11:59:20 PM
Majority of traders are not actually making good profits in trading as most of them are still suffering from losses. And we can’t blame them because majority of traders nowadays are still newbies that jump into trading just to satisfy their greed and make huge profits like those veteran traders. I’m not saying that newbies are not capable to trade but they should know when to trade and when not to. Since they are still newbies, at least their focus should be learning and developing their skills and strategies in trading, and not jump into live trading and eventually suffer from losses due to lack of trading experience and skills.
407  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: As a trader never settle for less on: February 06, 2024, 09:58:32 PM
The very main reason why one decides to learn trading and developed as a potential trader is to gain profitable income. Now, if he’s a really good one, he will make massive profits everytime he decides to trade but if he’s still learning the process, expect that he’ll lose more than gain some profits. But we all know that traders will always have an option to improve their performance and make the most of it. It’s only a matter of time and perseverance.  Traders should always trade for the best outcome, and not just settle for any less but as much as possible, be the best trader you can be and make substantial profits.
408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 06, 2024, 11:53:12 AM
You actually don't need to buy points on that game because they dominated the Sacramento Kings with 26 points victory. It was the defense of the Cavaliers that was really impressive, they are as hot as the Clippers but Mitchell is playing differently, he trust his teammates more now and they are cooperating with their leader.

Max Strus has been huge, score 22 points (made 6-10 beyond the arc). This guy could have help Miami if they did sign him.
Today's bet was stress-free Cheesy and on top of the solid defense, they had a better three-point shooting percentage.

The Knicks' spread is tempting for tomorrow. They'll be facing the Grizzlies, who have 10+ players out from their lineup, and i'm still debating if I should live bet them or go for it this early before the odds start moving.
Go with the pregame odds I suggest. Now it's -13.5 but as you mentioned, they are so undermanned and we witnessed how the Grizzlies played last game. Knicks aren't happy with their last game, so most likely they'll have a strong bounce back game tomorrow and I can see an easy 20+ points victory.
The line movement says a lot about the chance of the Knicks to win the game. As they experience their loss after a good win streak, they are going to restart again and it will start tomorrow. I'm seeing the Knicks that is playing like a machine, everyone that is called to play are contributing and against an undermanned team, it's no surprise at all if they'll have this a blowout win. The line might be high but honestly I believe this is easiest bet to pick among the games on the board.

Aside from that game, I also like the Phoenix Suns -4. Bucks has been on and off lately and Doc Rivers had only won 1 game since he took over the coaching job, while the Suns has been hot lately. Last time, Beal scored 41 points, and that showed that anyone from the big 3 could have a big game.

If the Jazz were able to beat them, for sure Suns will do more than that.
They seemed to be playing great recently but I'm not impressed with their record.

Home record is only 13-11 but they are 7-17 ATS.

The verdict has came out.

No suspension for him but he was fined with a significant amount of 100k pesos.

Abueva fined P100,000 for mocking Gallent, spared suspension

I read some comments on facebook regarding this matter, it seems like people aren't happy with the amount of penalty, they want Calvin to get suspended, and some even worst as they want a permanent ban.
410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your expectations ahead of pre and post BTC halving? on: February 03, 2024, 06:45:00 PM
This survey could be possibly true or the other way around, as bitcoin still moves surprisingly more than we can imagined. But one thing is certain, bitcoin will eventually reach its new all time high after seeing price dips or price correction in the market. However, instead of getting bothered if ever bitcoin price will drop drastically, then let’s just see it as another opportunity to buy and hold. If we can’t maximize our profits this coming bull run after its halving, then at least we can start preparing for the next bull run ahead by continuous DCA and hodling.
411  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning comes before earning on: February 03, 2024, 02:56:47 PM
I agree, focus on putting effort into learning and gaining knowledge and not rushing into the desire for quick gains or profits.
Trading is a gradual process that requires a solid foundation of understanding and skills, the temptation for fast money can often lead to mistakes and setbacks. It takes time to understand the market, and strategies and manage risk which are essential for long-term success.

Mostly probably, since trading takes time to learn the process, newbies chose to take shortcuts because of their quick desires to earn profits. Yes, this is certainly wrong but majority of newbies are doing this kind of way that’s why a lot of them end up not learning and making consistent losses when trading.

This is the reality of newbie traders nowadays and if they stick to believe that trading with bitcoin will make them quick rich, they will never learn their lesson but will continue to endure mistakes and possible losses every time they decide to trade.
412  Economy / Economics / Re: My life plan for wealth and btc good idea on: February 03, 2024, 11:24:59 AM
Unfortunately, no one can predict the price movement of bitcoin exactly, even if you say that certain person has been staying in the market for so long. Bitcoin is highly unpredictable, that even Satoshi cannot tell as to where and when bitcoin price will stop surging. Now, if you go to crypto influencers, believe me they’re not reliable at all. They can always make assumptions but there are no assurance if that will turn into reality.

Just take one step at a time. Buy when the price is low and continue to DCA even if the price gets high, and hold them in your wallet like there’s no plan of selling. But eventually, when you have reached your desired goal price, take time to sell some of your coins and continue holding the rest, that way you will make current profits and you will continue to profit in the future. If you can hold on to that strategy, being rich will eventually become easier for you.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - February 24 on: February 03, 2024, 09:37:13 AM
I have seen Takuma had lost to    Nordine Oubaali in 2019 but well he did able to patch it up into further more wins. As a champion then of course
belittling you opponent would really be that imposing such risks and it isnt something that would really be recommended for someone to do so.
Good thing that this fight had been pushed through now despite of that postponement.

The fighter that was KO'd by an old Donaire. So if we consider that as a basis to determine is capability, we can say that he isn't really a champion in terms of skills. Takuma become a champion but all his fights is in Japan, he was probably favored by the judges or their promoters are good in cherry picking his opponents, but Ancajas is different, he was once a champion and I believe Takoma is gonna lose in the hands of the Filipino.

Perhaps the better comparison should be against his brother? And if this is where we are looking at, obviously they are very far from each other as Naoya is more of a complete fighter than Takuma. And I think everyone is not sold on Takuma, yes he is the champion, and yes he is the favorite in this fight.
It's understandable why he is the favorite here, he is the champion and is fighting in front of his home crowd. But that was on the bookies, nothing should be significant in terms of the actual fight and how Ancajas would feel as he knows he will be fighting on the territory of the champion, so he needs to have an impressive performance, so if he could not deliver a knockout, and obvious domination might merit a win for him. I'm talking about domination because if it's a close fight, it's not safe for him.

But we shouldn't look down at Jerwin talent and accomplishments as well. He is indeed a former champion, and his tenure is very long. So it's just a matter of adjustment for him and it seems that he has settled to this new division as he doesn't need to squeeze his bigger frame to 115 lbs. We all know that it's one cause of fighter losing fight as they will be dehydrated just to make the weight requirement and it has adverse effect on them and that's why Ancajas lost his belt.

Of course, no one is looking down on his achievement, in fact, I am on his side with this fight and I'm optimistic he could deliver a convincing win even in Japan. Although there hasn't been controversies proven on Japanes fighters choose to fight in Japan, but you can't take it to the dirty mind of the people to speculate, because they'll think it's a homecourt advantage, and it could possibly rig in favor of their own fighter.
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 03, 2024, 08:45:13 AM
They manage to limit JMF production inside, but they are unable to adjust to the outside attacks of SMB. That's the good thing with SMB, once they start to find the rhythm, they will keep on pushing for it, and we see the outcome as they win the first game.

Looking forward to see what kind of adjustments Magnolia will make to create a good counter for both inside and outside attacks of SMB.

Junemar Fajardo managed to chip in 11 points and 11 boards on that game, his usual average of a double-double. That's why the Beermen got a lot of open looks at the basket because Magnolia was trying to double down on Fajardo. Magnolia has to pick their poison, to guard JMF without double or letting the shooters do their thing, that's the adjustment that I think Magnolia has to do in game 2.

No one on the Magnolia can guard Fajardo, not even Laput so it could be a feast for JMF down low if no double is coming.

That's the problem with Magnolia because although they are quick but SMB are now very confident with their outside shooting, and it hasn't change from the semi Finals to the finals game 1. Magnolia had a late run when they took their import, but it was short though, good thing SMB were able to cover the spread, I would have thought they intentionally made it happen.

Next game will be tomorrow, if you will bet on SMB now, you'll get 1.86 moneyline and as usual, this might move again as the game is approaching. I don't know why the line is set up like this when it was very clear how capable SMB in game 1, so we better be cautious with our selection, picking the better team is not enough to win.
415  Economy / Economics / Re: Why does a country borrow money from the world bank even when they can afford it on: February 02, 2024, 10:58:50 PM
As much as we don’t see contentment with the progress we are seeing in ourselves, same also applied when running a country. There’s always a need to improve and that’s I think what every country is supposed to do. With that, taking a loan from the world bank could give us the best advantage aside that it only offers low interest funds, it could also mean a lot to continue the said progress and development that we are opted to see and experience in our own country. And I guess majority of the countries are exposed to taking a loan, as long as the country itself is able to pay it back from its own profit and revenues.
416  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make reading a habit on: February 02, 2024, 10:29:55 PM
Not all the time that we can quickly understand everything we read in the forum. Even myself I have struggled a lot when I was still starting in this forum due to non-familiar of words and phrases. Since then, I started doing research and reading more often and this helps me a lot to finally understand what other senior members are saying and I can easily join the discussion sharing my own points of view.

I suggest never stop reading as learning in the forum is limitless. The more you take time to read, the more you gain knowledge and the more you become fluent and well conversed, that makes you an advantage in the forum most especially if you are English literate.
417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with Bitcoin. on: February 02, 2024, 07:55:53 PM
My country has legalized crypto transactions but it can never be used as a legal tender so most likely, bitcoin is still used by many as an investment or trading purposes, but not to pay for goods or services, unless if you convert it into fiat. However, on my part, I have no issues using bitcoin as a payment system since it’s actually designed for it originally, but seeing none of the stores here are accepting bitcoin, then it would be hard for me spend my bitcoin. But paying bitcoin with online purchases might be possible I think.

I hope there's a series betting online. Unfortunately I could not find anything like that on the bookies I'm using, they are more on per game better but with good markets.
There's hasn't been betting like that, this isn't NBA bro, so you can't expect something like that. Best chance to get a bet is through betting outside, or with your friends/officemates, they give better benfits to bettors as you don't have to pay for the commission.

Or we can have a P2P bet here among us like we used to do when harizen was still active, just post your proposal, maybe someone is interested to take the bet.

Back to the game, I think SMB has the edge on this Finals as they have Fajardo who is healthy and Boatwright who's outside shooting is dependable.

As of this writing, the spread has moved up to -3.5 for SMB @1.90, that's attractive enough if you are a fan of SMB.

Good luck to us guys on tonight's game 1 of the Finals.

The point spread might stop at -3.5. I also like the analysis about Boatwright, he is really a pain in the ass because he is very confident shooting outside. An to think that what made Magnolia having a hard time beating Phoenix is their outside shooting, the same could happen in this series but SMB is way more better and they have deep roster.

We might also see Romeo to playing for the Finals, if he'll turn back the clock, who knows, he might win a finals MVP again. Also, we have Tautua who was injured during the semis, hopefully he'll be able to come back so both teams will have a healthy roster.
420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Patience is power on: February 01, 2024, 11:35:43 PM
Patience and proper investment attitude will create more power to make an investment work and succeed. Even with trading, patience should not be underrated. You will never make a good entry or a perfect exit while trading if you are not patient enough. Same with hodling, you will never experience those life changing profits if you don’t have the patience and the right attitude while holdling, as others might suddenly end up quitting when they see their investments are falling which may lead for their losses as well.
